There's a large tree across the path about 1/3rd of the way that requires a step over or a duck through right now, though.And to the jerkoff that left the fake $100 bills that are just slips of paper with bible verses on them, and flyers for your church everywhere: You're a litterbug. Your god is frowning at you.

It was a good find during my visit to the area.The drawback was that every time I went, there were people in the parking lot. On one occasion, a very disoriented lady was sitting in her car with the engine on blocking the lot entrance. I suspect it's a place for people to get high, which made me decide to walk elsewhere. That's just kinda creepy when you're alone.

Gwen McTaggart: Our family loves Howell wetlands. I sometimes have a hard time with uneven terrain but the boardwalks are easy to traverse and there are benches on occasion to rest. There is a bit of a walk down a path before you get to the boardwalk but it's not terribly difficult. We've enjoyed seeing all the beautiful wildflowers and butterflies in addition to the turtles. One visit we got to observe an area where beavers had been at work 💜

Courtney Cole: For a smaller zoo I think it is good for the most part but there needs to be some slight improvement. For the good, the zoo is bigger than I was expecting given that Evansville is not "Big" city. The park seemed clean. The workers are also very nice and will explain the animals with you. Certain animals are ok to pet and they may be displayed out in the open but the workers will let you know if it is ok otherwise don't touch. There were quite a few animals to see when I went. Honestly, I saw more animals here than I did when I went to the Nashville zoo back in November cause they had a lot of the animals put up. I fed penguins and giraffes here which was fun but it is a little overpriced. It is nice to see that they have indoor (warm) areas for animals to escape to if they get too cold. I do have to agree with several other reviewers here when they say that there are several animals (tiger, bear, rhino, tapir, jaguar etc) that could definitely use more space given they barely have any space for the size of the animal but other animals have plenty of space. There are areas that look run down and need redoing. I do wish they had more signs listing the animals name. The prices are fairly reasonable as well as the yearly membership. My vote for the next new animal(s) are a sloth and meerkats.

eric galloway: Nice park to walk the dog and jog or walk but they put up a bunch of signs saying not to feed the ducks bread and soon after put a brunch of large rocks around the lakes so the ducks couldn't come up for food even if they wanted to. I solely went there to feed the ducks on a very regular basis and now that's close to impossible. In short, if you're going there for the wildlife go to a different park

I called JCs wildlife and got no help from there no customer service department. I paid $33.80 and could have bought the same item from Home Depot for $29.05 and had it the same day. James Wheeler: Ordered Mr. Bird Wild Bird Feast for the quail. The cylinders stay together in wet weather while quail blocks melt and fall apart. Feed on the ground for the quail. The quail love them as well as the rabbits, racoons and deer. JC's service and shipping is quick with prices very reasonable.

Mandrup Skeie: Best place ever to buy bird supplies. The management staff is outstanding in listening to customer complaints and suggestions and then DOING something to correct problems. We had received a box of seed cylinders as a Christmas gift that had been roughly handled in the shipping process causing 3 of the six cylinders to have large chunks of seed lying loose .Even though the squirrels found this helpful , my wife would have preferred that all of the seed had gone to her cardinals and finches.When it got time to order more seed, i included a note asking that the seed cylinders be cushioned or packed in a heavier box. Not only did the follow my suggestion they went above and beyond and cushioned AND packed it the normal shipping box in a heavier outer box securely taped and then enclosed a note from a management team member(Alese) apologizing for the problem with the first shipment and offering replacement and a 10% discount on my next order. You can't help but admire and respect a company that responds like that!!

Ed Sauerheber: I purchased the ultimate bluebird house and the wren house from JCs wildlife. Both houses are well made and well thought out for both species of birds. The entrance sizes are correct for each house and both have toe holds for the birds to grab onto. IMO they are some of the best houses on the market.
