Dusk Wind: Kite & Key is as innovative with their homey mom & pop casual breakfast diner as Benjamin Franklin was for their namesake.A concise yet rich menu offers a choice collection of breakfast items done well.I enjoyed their traditional Eggs Ben(edict) while my mother had a delicious omelet. The two dishes we ordered were both obviously prepared with love. They nailed the hollandaise sauce on mine and kept her omelet light and fluffy. I tried their chorizo and potato soup of the day and found myself pleasantly surprised by it as well.If you are looking for a place to stop in for breakfast - give them a try!
Paragraph Thirteen: Long-time customer here. Dined in for breakfast on Thursday 3.30.23 and we must say that the place has gone significantly downhill within the last 6months. I’ve seen mention of a new owner on here although I cannot confirm but would make sense. Waitress had attitude when she brought one of our orders wrong we were simply told that we didn’t have to eat it. We will not be back! Huge thumbs down and it looks like they’re losing customers fast. 😬
Heather Bennett: The food is always GOOD. They were super busy today to it took longer than normal to get our food but it came out very hot and fresh.The amount of time it took today was the oddity so it'll continue to be one of my favorite places.Definitely give it a try if you haven't been!
Canadian Fuss: Oh my, this place has really changed & not in a good way.I’m from Evansville but I don’t live in Evansville anymore. When visiting Evansville, I always have breakfast at K&K with friends/family.I was unaware that the ownership had changed before dining there this week but immediately knew during/after that something had changed.My Mom told me afterwards about the change in ownership because I was like “Oh my, this place has really changed & not in a good way.”The place is now highly unorganized & the staff we encountered were not clean or well-groomed.Our waitress had severe dandruff & darkened teeth.Our table of two waited 50+ minutes for our breakfast food that is now, VERY CLEARLY, mostly pre-packaged stuff that’s merely reheated.I’m actually very sad about this. K&K used to be so good & it was convenient to have this cafe on the west side.Never again. Awful.

Leslie Ricketts: We live 3 hours away but Kite & Key is a must if we are in the area. It’s always consistent in the quality of food and care of the servers. If you are looking for a place that it feels like mom made your breakfast, you found it. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Ben Kissel: Been here several times in the past few years. It's mine and my wife's breakfast place for our breakfast dates. Food ranging from bacon and eggs to a chicken sandwich. Whole menu all day which is cool.Problem with that, is the corned beef hash and eggs is my go-to so I don't try too much else. I'm hooked! Nice little cozy Cafe seats about 40-50. Coffee bar available as well. On nice warmer days we sit on the patio and enjoy the weather.Waiter today went above and beyond running the front room like it's nothing. I have never had a bad experience here which is why I will keep coming back.Kid-friendliness: Kids eat every time but it's a rarity they come. This is mommy and daddy time while they are at school!Parking: It's mostly along the street but there is a large parking lot in the rear.

K Housman: Five stars for the price, but the food was not as good. I’m not sure where they get their hashbrowns, but they were mush and burnt on one side and not fully cooked on the other. Also, I asked for no meat in my gravy, and it was full of it, so they don’t follow instructions either.

The space is smaller, so I would think seating can get tricky when there's a crowd.First time having bubble waffles and I appreciate how it makes it easier to cut up as you eat. Richard Joseph: There is so much to love here, so much that’s perfect: excellent coffee and tea, great food, and friendly, prompt service. Where this cafe loses points, for me, is the noise level. For a cafe, it’s very, very noisy. There are frequently large groups in there (book clubs, church groups, study groups, etc.). Nothing wrong with any of that, obviously, but the noise is just incredible. It seems that groups start talking louder and louder, just to be heard over the other groups. Perhaps an issue with the acoustics? Maybe too many tables in too small a space? I’m unsure. It’s a shame if, like me, you come to cafes for a quiet place to get work done. I’ll probably keep coming, occasionally, but I’ll always be sure to bring my ANC earbuds.

I continue to ask for the acai bowl for here and they continue to put it in a to go container. The other food isn’t served in to go containers. So why do I have to have my food in a to go container when it decreases the quality. Seriously considering going elsewhere.

Donald Brown: So when walking in the owner was a lifesaver as I had forgotten my charger while awaiting a travel layover and he went above and beyond in offering me the ability to sit and enjoy watching him express his passion in his business with other customers while my phone charged and I had a cup of his labor of love. Absolutely AWESOME!!!Kid-friendliness: Seeing children come in over the hour and a half of my layover his cause, care, and concern for tending to little kids in the store was inspiring and awesome to see his inclusion in a space kids are often a second thought of as customers. Nate is simply wonderful human!

So many notes of flavors burst forward before it leans into a smooth and roasty aftertaste. This coffee is meant to be sipped and cherished.The service was fantastic and the staff was so kind and patient to let me taste items and helped me decide what to bring home.They also seemed to have a good number of non caffeinated options - maple cream soda on tap and root beer on tap.

From the bourbon barrel stout cold brew to the Cinnamon Toast cold brew to my go to the straight black cold brew, I’ve never had anything bad that those crazy mix masterminds have concocted. They roast their own coffee so everything is super fresh. I just hope they start drop shipping cold brew to my house!
