Jim Riggs: Can’t say enough positive things about Above the Rest. The name says it all. After searching for months for a nice patio set at a price we could afford I stumbled onto them and they have been absolutely super. Great choices to customize to your colors, style and budget. Scott and his team even came to the house twice to set up the furniture as it arrived in two shipments. Our fire table is beautiful and Scott even color coordinated some sunbrella pillows for our couch. If you are looking for ANY patio furniture I urge you to check out Above the Rest before you go anywhere else - you won’t!

Ashley West: We highly recommend The Amish Shop! We had shopped around for bedroom furniture and had looked for months, having no luck finding what we had in mind. When we stepped into the Amish Shop, it was obvious the products were a higher quality than anything else we’d looked at. We had an idea of what we wanted, and were quickly able to find most of the pieces we were looking for. To start, we still couldn’t find exactly what we wanted for our bed but Dennis took a picture we had sketched and made it happen! Each piece is very high quality and just beautiful! We are thrilled with how it turned out!
Ryan Westerhold: We had a custom table made a few months back and wanted to share with everyone what we had built. Using reclaimed solid oak barn wood from an 1800s barn in eastern Ohio, the Amish hand crafted every piece to preserve the original character, 200 year old saw marks and square nails holes. If only the wood could tell stories of what it held inside that barn for the last 2 centuries. As far as the craftsmanship, it was an 8 week build, and as always expected it is of the highest quality and the attention to detail is far beyond measurement. The absolute best part is that everyone that had a part in this build signed the bottom. I’m so honored and proud of all the time spent making this incredible kitchen table that we will be able to enjoy for the rest of our lives. Thank you Dennis and Lisa!

Eduard C Hanganu: Random, mixed assortment of furniture pieces with no price labels. When one asks, the attendant quotes some extravagant and excessive prices for furniture pieces that one could purchase at Walmart for 90% less. The store is a waste of time, and a bore.

He arranged (and even delivered) the millwork and stabilization of the slab. We will post pics as soon as our project is done. Teeeve: Seems like they have a large selection with decently nice furniture. I’m happy with my table that I purchased. although the sales person was very nice and accommodating I was disappointed when he told me, he would call me on a certain day for pick up and he never reached out to me. Made it inconvenient for me to pick it up the next day also if someone’s picking up some thing like a coffee table or a small end table I don’t think they should be restricted to warehouse hours. Those are my only two complaints.

Jessica MORELOS: The absolute worst company and worst purchase experience ever! Wrong estimated shipping date, product comes from Indianapolis but has a foreign plug-in type. Had to buy an adapter. All of that AND IT DOES NOT EVEN WORK. Never order through them, they are not trustworthy. Now after all their errors they won't even refund my almost $700. If I could give negative stars, I would.
Kim Nash: I bought a sectional from Chuck who was extremely nice, and knowledgeable. My good experience ended there. Do not buy from Big Sandy unless you have the means to bring your furniture home. Our first sectional was delivered at 10pm!!!! They didn't finish till close to 11pm. The arm on the sectional was broke so Chuck said he'd have it replaced when I spoke to him the next day. They brought that one out a couple weeks later and not only is it broke, but it's the wrong sectional. So a couple weeks later we finally received a fully functional couch. Keep in mind I had to take off work for 2 delivery days. Their tracker somewhat works, but is not accurate at all. Just rent your own uhaul and get your furniture that way. Delivery is awful, and they haul away old furniture for a fee so nasty, smoke smelling, bedbug living furniture is next to what you bought.

Karen Schmitt: The sales associate, Elise, was extremely rude. When I arrived she was seated, gets up and I asked if I needed assistance, I said Yes! I wanted to purchase a reclining sofa. Instead of asking if she could show me the sofa’s she stood on the other side of the showroom and attempted to point at the couches that reclined. I was not able to see what couches she was referring to so I asked again…. Then her voice changed and became very condescending!! She she pranced around and touched every reclining couch which was helpful. She was no longer interested in assisting me and went somewhere to talk with someone in the back of the showroom, not a customer. I asked if the couch was in stock and she did go to the computer and told me it would be 6-8 weeks to arrive. I asked if I could purchase the floor model and she became downright rude. I ended up purchasing the couch however, I asked for the Manager and she said she was the Manager. I asked again for her Manager and she reluctantly gave me a number(the store number) and wrote JT on the piece of paper she gave me. I am afraid she will sabotage my purchase. It is truly ashame there are such incredibly rude people in your showroom!!! I would like a call, you have my cell phone number

I am going through a situation where I am on an tight budget (seems like most of us are these days) and as soon as I walked in I was greeted and was asked if I needed help by Elise. I immediately shared what I was looking for and what my budget was, at first I felt embarrassed as it was a slim budget but without any hesitation or judgement Elise knew exactly where to point me to.Aside of guiding me in the right direction, she could have sold me the piece of furniture I needed with price on display; however, she went far beyond that and found an additional cost saving for me.I cannot tell you how greatful I am for her help and the furniture I bought.And I almost forgot one of the most important things, from the time I walked through the front door to the time we got the piece and parked to pick it up, I am timing it at 15 minutes in all. This exceeded my expectations and will be coming back again in future.I hope I get as lucky to have somone like Elise help me next time too! Luigi Del: This is an update to my previous negative review of American Freight. I purchased the couch from an FFO store before American freight acquired them. When I tried to have the warranty plan repair the broken springs in the couch, the store was then owned by American Freight and the sales representatives there did not have correct info on how to submit a warranty claim for customers who purchased items when they were FFO. Angie from the Louisville American Freight office offered the choice to have the couch repaired or a store credit in the amount of the original purchase tax and warranty included. That’s all a customer could ask for, American Freight is a company that honors their agreements.

I even put my info in wrong on app and HE TOOK the time to call and fix it for me 😊 he was upbeat and very personable and polite and knowledgeable on what he was selling !I have been in the store several times and all great experiences; however JT went above and beyond with superb customer service !

Krystina Hudnall: We bought a couch with warranty a couple of years ago from American freight. We were able to use our warranty with no problems other than Elise gave us the wrong information about what to do with our current couch. She said we would need to bring it in in order to receive our replacement. Once we loaded up our old couch I called American freight to give a heads up we were on our way and to ask what to do with the old couch. Courtney was very professional and explained we did not need to bring in the old couch to receive our new one but she would take care of old couch since we already had it loaded and on our way. She made getting our new replacement couch very easy and seamless. This however will not prevent us from going back in the future!
