Alana Roberts: I'm so excited we have a butcher shop! It's just a different experience. They have meat you won't find in a grocery store, the guys inside are friendly and helpful, and as everyone has mentioned the prices are great. I got chicken leg quarters at the same price as Aldi's recent sale price on thighs, and it's better quality. They have pork belly and pig's feet, both of which are essential for good ramen but very hard to find in grocery stores. (If you don't see something, ask because they might have it in the freezer in back.) I also tried their New Zealand goat stew meat with bones. Oh my goodness.... it's like how you always think meat is supposed to taste only it usually doesn't. I always get pork sausage here to make sausage biscuits for breakfast... it's like McDonald's style but better. My son is raving about their bacon. "Beautiful and aromatic," he says, and declares he will eat no other bacon ever again. I have not finished exploring this great place but for meat lovers like us it's a godsend, that's already clear. They also sell cheese, deli meat, sauces, seasonings, and even a grill with accessories.

Ravena Dowell: Used to be my go to store. But they seem to have Shnucks prices without Shnucks cleanliness and quality. I liked IGA for having a bit more selection than rulers (right down the street) but this store consistently price gouges everything. On top of that, everything is dusty as can be.

Just to mention a few meals during the week, Saulsberry steak with mashed potatoes and green beans, spaghetti and lasagna with garlic bread, meatloaf with green beans. Beef and noodles don’t remember sides, All right let’s go to the best part every weekday they have hamburgers and you can get a single double triple if you want it but they are the best cheeseburgers hands-down in my opinion Evansville has a offer. The icing on top of the cake is the cookies Old Tyme deli & meat shop has the best cookies you’re missing out if you don’t get one. I come and get 3-4 cookies everyday. I work construction and everyone of my crews eat here every single day that’s how good it is nice home cooked meals. They also sell local chips drinks made right in Evansville. You can also buy your high quality meat products here they do not sell low quality meat. The staff is very friendly and courteous they will great you like your family every day. Supplies only last so long you better get here before they sell out which will happen every day because the locals know this gem. I would and do recommend this gem to friends and family also coworkers. Out of the 100 people I recommend this gem to not one person has been disappointed it’s that good. Remember come early before the food is sold out.

The one person who apparently was covering all the registers was very short with me and had to come back 5x because mine still had issues.

Harvey: I started shopping here regularly when I discovered they sell sushi. Since then, I've got things from their deli, meat counter, and delicious fresh and organic food items. The recent installation of self check outs has made it easier for those who don't wish to communicate often with others and also easier on the employees do that they don't have to stress about absurdly long lines. On the other hand, it is a bit expensive, although worth it if you have the money.

The new bread now is old and bad - supermarket bread.The orange juice was a week old when we went to the store, because people cannot afford the price.We could not find our favorite cheese in the expected location on the shelf - no more sold in the store?There were no casheers around. We work for the store now - we have to check ourselved out. No big deal? Well, it is for us.There are some other unpleasant changes in the store...but enough.Time to move on?

I did enjoy the variety of ready made salads and sammiches and the like, but I won't be back for other groceries.
