TRISTATE FUNCTIONAL WELLNESS: what do users think?
Michele Smith: Dr James is the best chiropractor! He takes his time to find out what is going on with you and your body as a whole. I honestly would not be walking or at least walking as well as I am without his advice. I have multiple chronic issues and Dr James always finds a way to help and give me some relief.I also get massages from Eric. He gives the best massages in my opinion. He knows how to really get in there. He asks you specifically where it bothers you the most that day and does a great job relieving these areas.I highly recommend the combination of massage and chiropractic care!I also recommend that you don't always have to do both when you go. Sometimes I just go in for the chiropractor and sometimes for the massage, then other times for both. So, Dr James and Eric are a great combination. And the front receptionists are sweet. So are the rest of the staff.I will never go anywhere else. 😀
Sharon Foster: Dr Rohleder and his staff provide exceptional, friendly care. He utilizes a variety of techniques to treat the whole person. Dr Rohleder is very caring and down to earth, listening to his patients is one of his great traits. No contract to sign; the patient decides how often to be seen. I’ve been his patient for several years and recommend him without reservation.
Rosalie Fattic: I have had chronic neck, back, & hip pain for many years & tried everything with no success. Dr. Rohleder used many techniques which reduced my pain dramatically. He & his staff are kind & caring.
Amal Paul: I was a patient of Jeffrey James, his treatment was helpful but the practice is pushy about unnecessary full physical exam and frequent appointments more than what I needed , he also pushed for ultrasonic therapy and other gadgety stuff that didn't help at all. When I asked to just get my manipulation done, they would not allow it without full exam etc.the medical expense also piled up and I finally changed to someone else.
Bronwyn Pfingston: I like the concept of Brain Mapping and that it was available here in Evansville. It wasn't explained well here. Thankfully there is YouTube and Google and other Dr's offices that explained it to me. Also, Dr. Rohleder was very arrogant and condescending, in my opinion. He openly laughed at me when I told him I purchased an over-the-counter food sensitivity test and told me other patients had brought them in and they "were junk." Why laugh at me? Please be professional and maybe even kind. This was after he recommended over $900 of services and products BESIDES the $2,000-$6,000 in Neurofeedback costs that follows a Brain Mapping session. Disappointing.
Oti Oritsejafor: Please Note: This review pertains solely to their neurofeedback(NF) service, and not to the organization as a whole. For a summary, please skip to the end.Was scheduled for an EEG brain map a month from when I called, to no fault of their own. Was not given instructions on how to prepare for this brain map.Took my medications as usual the morning of brain map. Did my brain map as expected. Informed them that I had taken my medications to which I was told "your'e not supposed to, but I'm sure you can redo soon if the doctor deems necessary."Not long after, was contacted to be told that my brain map results were "meaningless" since I took my medication (that I was not informed not to take before the brain map) , and that no explanation could be given with regards to my results because of this. Though they were quite reluctant, they sent me my report when I insisted they do. They said I would have to wait another 2 weeks just to come in to redo the map. I had to move out of the city on short notice, so 2 weeks in the future would not be possible. They said they would not give any refunds.I have some neuroscience background. After I received report, I spent many more hours learning some of the neurobiological foundations of neurofeedback and learning how to read and interpret brain map results.Anyone possessing even limited experience with qEEG methods can assert that my results are far from "meaningless". They actually carry a lot of meaning, and many clinical observations can be made by looking at them.Summary and conclusions:* They refused to go over the results of my brain map with me because I wasn't in a certain condition when I took it. (-1)* Even after I told them I had to move out of the city on short notice, which meant I could not redo the brain map, they would not provide me with any refunds or any reimbursements. (-1)* The fact that they thought my results were "meaningless" may suggest a lack of substantial experience and/or deep understanding of neurofeedback. (-1)I had a poor customer experience, and unfortunately would not recommend them for neurofeedback therapy for now. They look to have some promise and could easily do things more properly in the future, so don't rule them out.
Madi: Jeffrey James is not worth your time. Please do your research and seek out a physician who cares about your well-being, not just billing as many office visits as possible. I was a patient for 15 years and was quite literally berated by this doctor this week for not making it to the office as often as he deemed necessary. Unprofessional, uncalled for, and unethical. I was in excruciating pain and left the office after being reduced to tears by this terrible man.On a more positive note, this terrible experience led me to Evansville Massage Specialists who brought me in on short notice and treated me so well. No, they don’t practice chiropractics, but the massage I got will hold me over until I find a new doctor!
Wiilaim Arbaugh: Would not recommend.
Chrissy Hightower-Willis: I have suffered with scoliosis since I was a young adult and have seen multiple chiropractors and orthopedic surgeons. Dr Rohleder is the best chiropractor I have ever used. He not only is helping me deal with the chronic pain but he also has helped me get a scoliosis brace. Everyone in his office is pleasant and works hard to make sure things are comfortable for patients. I highly recommend this wonderful place where they take a holistic approach to wellness.
Debra Beasley: Dr. Rohleter is amazing—Jeannie was, too, but she moved.
Jason: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS OFFICE. After my long time chiropractor moved out of the area I began looking for a new one. At the suggestion of a co-worker when I began to have some shoulder pain I made an appointment to see Jeff James at Tri State Functional Wellness. Even though the pain was located in my shoulders and against my objections Mr James insisted on taking xrays of my back. After the xrays he then informed me that If I did not agree to 6 additional appointments, one per month he would be unwilling to treat me. Finally after all of this I was given a bill for $157 even though I provided insurance. I promptly paid $57 and then expected to pay the balance due ($100) the following month. A week later I received a bill for $115, $100 was for the balance due and the additional $15 was the cost for generating another bill (that is 15% of the total due!!!) There are plenty of capable chiropractors in Evansville that I would recommend but only one that I would suggest you avoid at all costs and that is Jeff James at Tri State Functional Wellness!!!
Vicki Moore: I have had chronic pain in my shoulders, neck and back for over a yr. Dr Rohleder has given me hope for the first time in all this time. They have so many techniques here that you can not find everywhere. I had have trigger injections, steroid shots, muscle relaxers, and over the counter meds without any lasting relief. He is the best caropractor !! I highly recommend this office and these Dr !!! We got a way to go but feel better than i have for over a yr!
Dennis Black: Had scheduled an appointment for 1:30 Tuesday and when I arrived I was informed that my appointment had been cancelled. When I inquired why the receptionist (who was very curt and not helpful) replied that I had not confirmed the appointment. On Monday evening at 7:45pm I received a text msg stating this is a reminder of my appointment and that they were counting on me. At the bottom of the text is stated call ASAP if I need to reschedule. There was nothing about a mandatory confirmation. After I was told my appointment was cancelled there was no offer to reschedule. The receptionist just stared at me. I said thank you it was good doing business with you and left the office. My suggestion is don't bother with this office and their sloppy business attitude.
Beth Boling: Dr. James is a gifted Chiropractor! I highly recommend him!
Brittany Baum: The best chiropractor I've ever been to. They take their time with you, and have many different therapy techniques. Dr. James is amazing!
Julie armstrong: Caring and thorough.Helped the chronic pain in low back and hip

Evansville Massage Specialists: what do users think?
C & S Xpress: We have been coming here off/on for several years pretty consistently good
Bob Skelton: The therapist was really nice and message my back muscles where I had most problems with.
Riverside Artifacts: I highly recommend Mark Salama as a skilled and intuitive massage therapist. I first went to Mark in Indianapolis when he was the lead therapist at the Indianapolis Athletic Club and then at a luxury spa in downtown. He has a great technique and knows how to use stretches and positioning to cure your aches and pains. If you live in Evansville you must go see Mark, he is the best!
Kathy Arnold: Evansville Massage Specialists is the best in the area. All therapists are wonderful, but there is now someone new, Mark Salama, who also has some specialized skills. He has a background in sports massage and also uses cupping, when needed. The cupping was able to release some of my fascia that had become gummy and adherent, primarily from overuse and from surgery/scar tissue. A different area I had received months of physical therapy for, with no relief, I am now seeing improvement in. Mark is very professional with all of his clients, putting you at ease.
Dawn Oneal: I have been going to Mark for quite sometime now. I started out once a week. Now I go in 1-2 per month for maintenance. Originally, I went in with terrible tightness in neck and shoulders from working at my computer daily and some hip issues. But with Mark’s therapeutic sports experience and techniques I feel so much better with less neck pain, less Migraines and have more range of motion.Very professional and respectful of one’s modesty level with 2 layers of blankets, etc. I highly recommend Mark!
Janna Gatten: If anyone has deep muscle or joint pain you need to let Mark help you. He’s got the training & experience to get you back on track. I had some severe pain in my S I joint area that would not ease up until Misty got me hooked up with Mark. 👍🏻👍🏻
C Griffin: I've been here twice and have not been disappointed at all with the services performed.
Tori Bruder: My go-to place relaxing full body massages. Megan is the absolute best!
Kristen Thompson: Been seeing Misty about 17years. I see Laura too! Everyone there knows how to get those muscles worked out! Deep or light pressure, u got it. In urgent situations, they do everything in their power to get u on 1 of the therapist schedule, thats great customer service. Make professional relationships as ur therapist will start to know where ur kinks are. Love these peeps! U won't b disappointed.
Kelsi Jennings: Megan will do an excellent job taking care of any soreness, pain, tightness you have so you can live better.
lynn melton: Always a great experience. You'll walk out feeling like a new person.
Derek Tackett: Best massage place in Evansville.
Paige Schaefer: love my massage every time
Jayne Buley: Amazing 👍👍👍
james collier: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityMy wife and I had a very good experience. The two therapists were very nice and professional. When back in Evansville will be back for a longer session. Had 30 minute definitely needed a 60 minute and would have been worth it.
Lea Heaton: Positive:Communication,Professionalism
Jerry Simon Jr: Therapist was friendly and made it an enjoyable experience.
matt kramer: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityNeck and shoulder feel much better! I will be going back
Lexie Schenck: I was very impressed my first time here today. It was a wonderful experience. I am 33 weeks pregnant and this have had several prenatal massages with my first and now my second child. I would say this was one of the best with Tina.
Kyle Linn: Great massage and customer service. They accommodated my schedule and got me in right away. Would recommend their services.
SANDY SMITH: Great massage nice folks.
