Tri-State K9 University: what do users think?
Michael Brune: We enrolled Oakley on September 12th for 2 hours of training I believe. Bobby Jo was his trainer. We have diligently worked with Oakley. It took several months but today we are proud to say he is paying attention, barking has decreased immensely. He waits for us to leave or enter a room or exit the house. I am so glad we enrolled him. Just thought you would like to hear that with the proper trainer and never giving up always wins.Thank YouSandy Brune
Joy French: Very helpful & accommodating.
Samantha Sulawske: I cannot thank you enough. I went in because my two-year-old pitbull didn’t know boundaries and was showing signs of dominance. I couldn’t lay down in bed because he would play bite me. By the time we left we had a completely different dog she taught me how to speak dog so that I could be the best leader for him 10/10 recommended
Mike Mason: Bobbi Jo was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and informative. Very straightforward & honest. She could have sold me on any package but told me to give it a couple weeks at home and see how it goes. Would recommend them for any issues you may have
Jeremy Wagner: I first met Bobbi Jo and became familiar with K9 University when I asked her to my home for a private, 3-hour session with my dog, Cooper. Cooper was, to put it bluntly, a hot mess. Bobbi Jo quickly recognized that he was dealing with high anxiety and asserting dominance—he would constantly race to furniture and be all over guests when they visited; it was maddening. That session was eye opening for me. I could already see him being calmer and more submissive. What began thereafter was a wonderful journey. Over the course of about 20 weeks, Cooper and I completed each course of the University. Bobbi Jo took great care to teach dog psychology (she was really training the humans, not the dogs). She taught us the “why” behind everything she was asking us to do—not to mention the one-hour classes were just FUN! I’m positive Bobbi Jo and K9 University can help guide you through any behavioral challenges you and your pup may be experiencing. Cooper is a changed dog from when we started, but he’s still just a goofy! He is also now an AKC Good Citizen. It’s been said that dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen. Bobbi Jo knows how to listen. She has been given an extraordinary gift and is an absolute blessing to those in which she comes into contact. I certainly know I am blessed to know her and be part of the extended K9 University family.
Nicole Clemensen: Great trainer! Saw amazing improvement in my dog after just a few sessions.
Amber Hahn: I had never needed the services of a trainer before and chose to try this one due to the positive reviews. I was told almost immediately that my dog would require a prong collar and most likely a shock collar. The training methods shown to me were very aggressive and seemed harmful and negative. Also the lesson seemed very disorganized. However since I had no prior experience with a professional trainer and didn't know what else to do I did follow through with what was told to me for at least 2 weeks. Did it work? Yes. Did my dog yawn often and give me a look like he did not understand why this was happening? Yes. This trainer says the yawning is a sign of submission but it's also a sign of anxiety . Finally I decided that's not the relationship I want to have with my dog and sought training elsewhere. This trainer speaks negatively about "trick training" and Rewards but what I've seen is dogs are known for their loyalty they want to please you. Once you learn to communicate and build that Bond it's pretty much smooth sailing. I can see how the training methods used by this trainer can turn a dog aggressive. I would not recommend, there are much better ways to train your best friend.
Brittney Gomez: We had a private lesson today for my 3-month-old golden doodle. Bobbi Jo was fantastic and gave me a lot of great information on the psychology of the dog and then brought it all together with hands-on training. We worked on the dog’s jumping and pulling while on the leash, and we also talked about different leashes and such to use in different situations. I left feeling more confident in my ownership and ability to deal with problem behaviors. We have signed up for the freshman k-9 class and can’t wait to attend!
Melissa Moore: This is such a great place to help with dog training and also any issues your dog has. I definitely would not go anywhere else.
Taylor Culley: My family received services from Tristate K9 university after our puppy was stealing and destroying various items in our home/attacking strangers. Their recommendation was a shock collar, which would cost us an additional 300 - but we were told it was worth the investment. This investment completely backfired on us because it caused our puppy to have severe aggression towards not only strangers, but myself and my family as well. We had to seek additional services with a behavioralist in Nashville as a result. Things are much better after seeing a professional behavioralist, but not completely back to how things were prior to using the shock collar. I’m making this review now as a source of education to the company/customers. Please research use of shock collars and aggression in dogs before advising others to use them. The behavioralist said that she has seen this many times and would never recommend using a shock collar as a punishment.
Suzanne Campbell: K9 University is a great place! Bobbi Jo loves what she does and is wonderful with all dogs! I highly recommend K9 University!
Craig Kohler: Bobby Jo is amazing and truly helped we with my puppy.
leslie hubert: My dog was suffering from anxiety that was negatively impacting not only him, but everyone in our home. Bobbi Jo came and did a home visit for us and gave us the knowledge and tools to help correct his behavior and lessen his anxiety. Within under 48 hours he was like a new dog. We have continued with what she instructed us to do and you would never know he previously had any anxiety.
Tena Gray: Bobbi Jo taught ME sooo much in our 90 minute session today! I learned, took the advice and followed through 100 percent with my Mrs. Wellington and have seen a big improvement in the way Mrs. Wellington responses to me.Thank you Bobbi Jo. I will come back again and definitely recommend K9 University to all that need it
LFS Lydia: Positive:Quality,ValueThey bring dog training to a different level. I felt like I understand my dog better and what methods work for him. It helped me to dive deeper into the dog psychology of everything and why a dog behaves in certain ways. I would definitely take him to another lesson at their facility.
Hope Burdette: Training methods are outdated and damaging.
Eva Rokes: Bobbie jo has been a blessing to us, we have 2 dogs who were barely coexisting, and had already been in fights. She came into our home and helped us, help them. Within minutes of her being here the mood in our home change drastically. We will continue with the tools she has taught us and even go into her class to do more training. Not only is she a great person for dog training, she's a wonderful person in general. We loved having her here.
Toni Lemberg: Georgie has been going here for almost a year. Bobbi Jo and Saundra have great knowledge in dog psychology. Bobbi Jo will blow your mind on how we think about dogs. Definitely makes your re think your thinking that's for sure. They don't train your dog. They train YOU, so that you can be the pack leader. I love this place. These few pictures is why we are going here. To train to be a therapy dog.
Debbie Effinger: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,Value
Austin Briles: We just recently moved into the country and got our first dog, Ash. Let me first say we have the best dog in the world, is true. 🙂 She's laid back and extremely smart. But with that being said, having a dog is a commitment and we wanted to ensure that her time with us would be most pleasant for everyone. I found K9 University after I did a google search and it seemed to be the right fit for us, especially since they offer in-home visits. (We live northeast of Mt Vernon.) Bobbi Jo was prompt and we first sat down to chat about what our goals and expectations were. After understanding what our personal goals were for the class, she walked us through the K9 mindset which was very eye opening. We then spent the remaining time going over some correction techniques and basic commands to work on. Our first class was everything we could hope for and more. Here's to being dog's best friend 🙂

Evansville Obedience Club: what do users think?
Garrett Webb (Gwebbdakilla): Really great environment for your dog to learn. Trainers know what they're doing and really care, they make sure you understand how to help your dog learn good behavior.
John Metzger: Great people, Great dogs, training is thee BEST!
Heather Newbold: 👍
Nathan Yoder: Love to meat new people and the dogs
Jamie Bell: Great place! Set yourself up for success with your new puppy
Keith Hemenway: Clean meat friendly
Marina Sholler: Love the classes here and definitely recommend!
Jamie Keller: Donetta had the most well run and informative seminar introducing dogs and handlers to nose work.
Emily F.: We submitted our paperwork to take puppy classes at Evansville Obedience Club, and the lady who called to finalize our class was so rude that we told her to cancel our check. She heard our kids in the background, told us they shouldn't come as they were too rambunctious, debated if we really knew the age of our puppy, and wouldn't give us time to discuss a different time when the class we wanted was full. It was a disappointment before we even had the chance to begin.
Kristen Totten: Maybe they are really good with dogs but they need to work on their people skills. I called to ask some questions and when i asked about observing a class and knowing more about the trainers i got a snap judgement in a rude tone "we don't train your dog, we train you" as if that means the trainers don't play any part in our success or failure. I know how it works but the trainers do play an important part. I did finally find where i can go and learn about the trainers without her "help" and will probably still go here although i never got to ask the offensive person about the vaccines required. My pup will have 3 Dhpp shots before the next class and not sure if he will be old enough for rabies to attend. It's not in the website from what i can see and I won't call that lady back to find out because i would rather talk to someone nicer.

River Valley Dog Training: what do users think?
Brittney Yates: Our Golden Retriever had been running the house since the day we brought her home! We started working with Jen for 1:1 training in April 2021. Peaches was 10 months old and already knew a few basic commands but only followed when she was in the mood. She would also resource guard food and favorite toys. Our confidence in being "in charge" improved after the first session and things just got better from there. Before we started training I though we might have to re-home our girl because I have a child that needed to be protected. But I am so glad we found Jen and Mike. We now have a wonderful dog who listens (95% of the time), shares her toys with us and has shown no aggression in months! Even better, Peaches knows what her expectations are and it has made her happy, content and a lover of receiving praise for good behavior!
Christi: I had the BEST experience working with River Valley!!! I cannot recommend them enough. Very flexible with scheduling sessions, professional, and just an all around pleasure to work with. PLUS- the knowledge they gave me will last a lifetime for all future dogs I own.
Cory Dahlkamp: If you are looking for trainers that truly care about you and your fur babies, THESE are the trainers. They want the best for you and your dog and work hard to make sure that everyone is successful and can live together happily. They use very duplicatable techniques that are easy to understand and work very well! I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Melaney Spencer: Jennifer and Mike are extremely knowledgeable and professional. Their training methods are unlike any other dog trainer in town, and they will work with you based on the individual needs of your dog instead of a cookie cutter training program. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Di Ferg: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueWe attended a 5 classes with Always Faithful Dog Training of Evansville and so happy we did. My ChiChi weighs 3 pounds and was able to learn from this class. Jen and Mike were great with all the dogs. I appreciate the knowledge time energy and love that went into each class. I highly recommend for all breeds.
Hannah Boulger: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueMy puppy walks by my side and doesn’t walk me anymore so that’s a great plus. They taught me how to make my dog know that I am the pack leader not him. 10/10 recommend
Maisie Gerdom: We finished training with Always Faithful Dog Training a month and a half ago. We did 5 sessions and chose what we wanted the focus to be on each session. Mike and Jen did amazing and every session had leash training, which we appreciated but was never our main focus with our two very hyper Border Collies. They pointed out Rogues anxiety and Remi’s dependence on his sisters ques. We worked on establishing we were alphas and not them, immersion therapy with things that made Rogue anxious, and giving Remi confidence away from his sister.I fought my own anxieties the other day and took 2 1 year old puppies, a 4 year old and a 6 year old to the park by myself. Part of me feared it would be a total disaster and Rogue would revert back to her anxiety of not being close to the kids to protect and herd them and Remi would follow her lead.I was astounded that even after a couple of weeks without leash training (like I should’ve been, but life got a bit crazy) these two pups were giving me slack leash, didn’t bark at a single other kid on the playground, and when anyone approached them they immediately sat down and looked at me for the next thing to do. I even got compliments on how well behaved they were being.10/10 will always recommend! This is the core training these dogs (and our family) needed. It sticks, it has made our lives much more enjoyable and now we have the ability to do so much more together.
Holly Weinzapfel: Can’t say enough good things about Always Faithful Dog Training. Mike and Jennifer are awesome. Our 4-year old Labradoodle is a bundle of energy and had not been through any kind of formal training. With their extensive knowledge we were able to quickly identify where she needed the most work and focused on those things. It takes time, commitment and lots of practice and repetition, but they provide a great foundation so you can continue your work after the last lesson. Highly recommend!!!
Becky Doss: Took our 2 boys, 4 year old's to this class and enjoyed every minute of it. The training is not treat based which I loved. Without the treats, I truly think my fur pups learned each task I lot better then "just doing it for a treat". The trainers were very knowledgeable and even though it was a small class of several they took the time to individually connect with each dog. I hated that it had to come to an end.
Danielle Schultz: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness
Kelli Derrick Powell: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueWe had a great time working with Always Faithful Dog Training. We have two older dogs, a 10 year old Yorkie and a 15 year old Yorkie. Both needed help with anxiety, leash training, potty issues in our new home, and learning commands. Definitely would recommend using their services, wish we had sooner!
Csue D: We had such a great experience with these dog trainers. We needed help with our 11 month old Australian Shepherd, after week 1 we could see our dog was going to be receptive to the training and the style of trading. By week 5 everyone who came in contact with our dog said what a positive difference the training had done. Looking forward to more classes with this great team!
Amber D. Burns: It was amazing. Taco loves it!
Sheryl Holtz: My 4 year old dog and I just finished training with Always Faithful Dog Training of Evansville and our experience was great. My dog had previously gone through training when we first adopted her 3 years ago. She was pretty attentive and knew what she was supposed to do. I wanted more control when off-leash as well as confidence she would come when called and respond even in high-distraction situations. Many training techniques involve treats or other gimmicks. While my dog is very much food-driven, that isn't always going to work in the real world. The training from Always Faithful Dog Training relies on you being the leader and the dog understanding their role. Jenn & Mike were always positive and had good techniques and instructions that worked very well for us. They were flexible in scheduling and you always felt they were your main focus. I would highly recommend anyone needing training, from basic to advanced, to give them a call. They know what they are doing and love the dogs they are working with. I know I can rely on their support.
Lisa Duncan: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueThe trainers came to work with our two dogs. They were very professional and easy to work with. I saw progress in the little time that they were there. I’m excited to see how my dogs respond to their training method. They definitely gave us hope that our dogs can be trained!
Misty Hartmire: Jennifer and Mike were excellent. They were consistent, reassuring, and available. We adopted our Pup from a Shelter, breed unknown although large... we had no prior experience with large breed dogs. There was a brief period of time when we thought we had made a mistake, that maybe we weren’t the right people for our Pup, but with their training program and consistency, time and patience, we learned how to be the right people for our Pup. And we are so thankful, because he is precious and we adore him! We highly recommend Always Faithful Dog Training ❤️
Melissa Burton: Jenn and Mike helped us train our great dane/lab puppy. She was a normal just like every other puppy hyper, easily distracted, and all over the place. Now she walks perfectly on the leash, sits, comes when called, stays, and every once in awhile will lay down on command. They were professional and still check in on us to see how everything is going. I highly recommend them, they are amazing!
Doug Deisher: We highly recommend Always Faithful Dog Training. Our German Shepherd/ Boxer mix was the typical hyper puppy and we knew we needed to establish ourselves as the pack leader before she became full grown. The training is as much to teach you to be the pack leader as to teach your dog their role. It also takes daily working with your dog. The results are worth it and their crew is great to work with.
Michael Goebel: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,ResponsivenessThey are prompt and professional. Very knowledgeable and did a great job with my Australian Shepherd/Lab mix puppy. She actually listens now!

K-9 Detection Services,LLC: what do users think?
Betty Russell: I highly recommend K-9 Detection Services for dog training and boarding. The staff is excellent, professional and caring.
Will Davis: Until witnessing the results of this training program, I thought all was lost in the hopes of getting my 9 month old Belgian mal, to not only become a normal dog/puppy but, also obey the basic commands and become completely potty trained! So to give a little background to who Cleo is(my mal puppy), when i found her and purchased her from a licensed AKC registered breeder she had obvious signs of being mistreated, i even believe beaten by an average size male, she had absolutely, what I now know to be, no self confidence, I just always referred to it to just being the puppiness in her, wouldn’t for the life of me go to the bathroom outside(i would walk her outside for hours trying) to safe our lives, but then five minutes or less after we came back inside she would go on the floor. She, unless her and I were alone, wanted nothing to do with myself or other normal average adult males. For the most part she went crazy for any females and children of any age male or female. Now for the most part she obeys all commands and listens to me 95% of the time(the other 5% is when certain people she bonded with instantly such as my oldest daughter, cleo wont immediately listen but that’s just due to the fact she is still a puppy and I'm certain we all agree while in their puppy years they aren’t expected to be perfect. I could go on and on about the tremendously phenomenal work the K9Dtetection team did with cleo so i am beyond thankful and grateful to them all. And an extra huge thank you to Amanda, (i know you will be reading this), so THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES OVER!!!!!!!! One other thing I'd like to add is this group of amazing professionals aren’t just out to get your money, they continue to help by being there if there are questions you may have after the training course is finished and paid for, they are literally just a phone call or text away to help if needed. Again a giant thank you and my complete and forever gratitude for the phenomenal work and service you all have provided!!!!!
Brenda Spells: Awesome place for boarding your dog and sensing those bed bugs.
Kevin Meunier: Very professional very thorough.
Nicole Piva: Our puppy had her first boarding experience ever here. She also did the boot camp. The trainer is amazing, when we picked up our 5 month old puppy after a few weeks we could tell she loved the trainer. Our puppy learned so much and we appreciate the training help for both our pup and us! The boarding area is very clean, we will definitely bring our pup back! So worth the 2 hour drive to take our dog here!
Tim Bowling: We used them for dog training, best in area!
Tom Zenthoefer: I think they do a good job
Mary Blair: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness
Jacquelyn Tudela: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueMike did an amazing job! Our dog is a totally different dog and it’s hard to believe it’s the same dog!!! Jäger went from a dog that would NOT listen to anything you have to say to constantly having his eyes locked on you ready for a command!
McKenna Sommers: We are so thankful for Amanda, Blake and Kendall. We adopted Kane a couple months ago and he was NOT a fan of other dogs. Heck sometimes people sparked him to react. He’s come so far. He stays attentive but relaxed more with his surroundings. Taking him on walks is much easier and more relaxed now. Thank you for helping us through this! He will be back for boarding during hockey season! He enjoyed all the staff. It was very evident when we visited and the videos we received. Thank you again so much!
Peyton Pence: Fantastic business, exceptional service! 10/10
Loren Browning: Shelby is awesome!
Dnai Typo: He was very informational and tells you things to look for. Cute dog too.
Wendy: We boarded our elderly German Shepherd Klaus with them. They did an excellent job! We had zero concerns or worries! I even think they gave him a bath, he smelled better when we picked him up than when we dropped him off. I love how they paid special attention to Klaus’s needs. He’s almost 13 and on arthritis meds, special food and had meds for his eyes and ears. The kennel area is super clean, they have private runs and it’s air conditioned. We’ll never board our dog anywhere else but here!
Trey Smith: I love coming to K9 Detections. Chad does a great job training the dogs there. He can change a dogs behavior dramatically in just two short weeks! Not only does he help your dog, he also helps train you as the owner to communicate with your pet better. I definitely recommend bringing your dogs here or using the bed bug service. His dogs are highly trained and can detect any trace of bed bugs. Great services!
Chris Capps: Great place!! Clean environment, excellent staff, and great work on training. Highly recommend!!
Chris: Great place to take your dogs they are very well taken care of and staff is great.
Dylan Spells: Amazing company with highly qualified trainers/staff.
Gilbert Bailey: The facility and staff are amazing. They treat our babies like they are their own babies in the boarding facility. We will be taking our youngest baby in for training soon... Amazing experience with K9 Agency always
Charity Bailey: When we went on our honeymoon we boarded our three dogs there. The staff took great care of all 3. Definitely will be back in September.
Jolene Hines: Took our 8 mth old pup there for training, instead he came home with part of his ear gone, 6 staples in his side, antibotics and a cone on his head. He recieved no training "due to the cone ". Very disappointed, they were highly recommended. Staff is nice and he did recieve treatment for his injuries.
