Jacob Mounts: Date night with my wife. Food was good and filling. Nice atmosphere and service was good. Little pricey but worth it. If I had any complaints it would be the drive behind the building when you leave the parking lot. Where the concrete meets the gravel there was a HUGE hole. Couldn't avoid it and even going very slow the car bottomed and the frame hit. No damage, but the hole needs to be fixed. Otherwise, it was a very nice dinner and time spent with my wife.

But I cant so it gets, a one.This food was awful, everything sounds fancier than it is, while also misunderstanding what it's talking about in their own menus. The salmon was clearly frozen prior, prep work was done way too far in advance leaving the rest of the food lackluster and poor, and also cold. Would not go again unless they try much, much harder to either be as fancy as they extrapolate, or return to basics with a tighter, neater & simple menu.

Kiki: The food is incredibly delicious, I love the “If Pigs Could Fly” tacos! The loaded grits are super yummy! The bacon jam is a must-have. The atmosphere and decor is really relaxing and interesting to look at. I love that this restaurant commissioned local artists for a mural and sculptural work. The back room would be beautiful for a party! I also really enjoy the open kitchen and seeing them cook my food.
Marco Perez: Visited Copper House for the first time and WOW!!!! Everything we ordered was so good. The bacon jam appetizer is addicting. Full of flavors you will love! The pork bellies with a caramelized glaze...perfect! Chicken pesto sandwich was perfect. The service was great. The atmosphere is cool, relaxing, artful. Actually a neat place for kids to eat as well. Our server explained that the art is from local artists. Tory Schendel-Vyvoda: Embarrassing. Took our family here for a brunch and it was a disaster. The server and service was horrible. The waitress who took our orders kept trying to bring other tables food to us, didn't come back to replenish drinks, expected us to take our drinks off her tray, just plain lazy. By the time we actually got our food, it was undercooked or cold. When we tried to tell the manager, he said it was our fault for being rude. Will not be back.To the response:1 carafe of coffee for 15 people isn't plenty; we asked for a second so our second table didn't have to come to our table for coffee. Waitress said yes twice; and by asking the third time, she said no because you ran out of carafes. Secondly, your waitress was so terrible that when our coorect food did arrive, the poor girl just stood there between our tables holding the plates because she had STREAP THROAT and couldn't speak and ask to whom the plates went. I had to step in and serve the plates. Third, you only came over once to deliver two dishes and to ask me, not the waitress, who still needed food and what did they order. Finally, if you truly overheard and witnessed so much, why didn't you help? Why didn't you see all of us, staff and guests, were miserable and step in? Why was this terrible experience allowed to continue for over 2 hours?

Chris Shimboff: I have been to this restaurant 3 times now to gauge their food and service. I ordered 3 different meals and have had 3 different waitresses all 3 times. The food was okay. I did feel there were a few things that they took pride in, but I feel there is far too many cans being opened to complete meals. That's a shame, because it really negates the things they do work hard on. Customer service was fantastic. I can honestly say, the waitresses I ended up with, were all consistently knowledgeable and friendly. Chris Lee: This place has awesome breakfast. If you are too fancy this might not be your cup of tea. This has a sixties era diner feel to it. The place is not large at all. It is very comfortable and you do not need to get fancied up to eat here just come as you are. The staff are very friendly. The food will come out quickly hot and fresh. Nathan Hause: My girlfriend and I decided to try Schymik's for our Valentine's dinner tonight, 2/14/23. We had an 8:30 reservation, walked in at 8:15, and were seated promptly. Our waitress greeted us promptly, seemed very pleasant, and let us know she'd be back for our order. She returned a short while later, took our order, and continued checking on other tables. Fairly soon afterwards, the hostess brought our dinner to our table. Our dinner was delicious, however, our service was disappointing. Our waitress checked on every table in our room multiple times but never stopped by our table a single time while our glasses sat empty. Eventually, the hostess was in our room and we were able to ask for refills. We finished our dinner and waited a while longer before our waitress showed up and gave us our check. We enjoyed the food but felt we were ignored. This was quite a disappointing experience for a special occasion.
David Johnson: I honestly was expecting a lot more from this place. I got the apple pork dish that I can't remember the name of, and my table ordered the seafood pot pie and a couple other things. The menu was very limited, the food is all priced at a premium, but the taste was okay at best. And whoever thinks that you need to consume 2lbs of pork to feel luxurious may need to examine what a high end experience feels like. The seafood pot pie tasted like chicken, and at $33 or something that's a bit unfortunate.The drinks were great. Servers were great. But I wouldn't go back until something changes.
Susan Cooper: Eight friends went for birthday brunch and had a great time. Our server, Addy, was very friendly and explained every beverage on the brunch drink menu. We had the Irish coffee drink, the Brunch Punch, a bucket of Mimosas and Bloody Mary's at our table. I loved the Brunch Punch & the other beverages got rave reviews as well. Entrees included Evansville Hot Brown (very good), Shrimp & Grits, and Sausage & Gravy biscuts. The individuals who got the sausage & gravy said it had too much sausage for their tastes. The standout on the menu was the Brunch cheeseburger which comes with a wedge of grilled Brie, when it's mashed down with the bun the cheese oozes nicely. I've enjoyed every meal at Shymiks and highly recommend the Pimento Cheese appetizer which appears to be held together by magic, because there doesn't seem to be any mayo in it. It's served with tortilla strips that are dusted with a spicy seasoning. So good!Parking: Parking is available in a small public lot behind the Haynies Corner fountain of across the street next to Sauced! or on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps on the exterior and interior of the restaurant. The bathrooms are on the second floor.
Cat Sparling: Top notch restaurant! We were happily greeted and seated. Service was professional and food came out quickly. We got a little bit of everything from the soup du jour, seafood pot pie and pork chop. I saw a cheesecake go by so I had to order on myself and I’m glad i did! There’s was a caramel or dulce de leche shell on top - so good! Our 8 and 5 year old gobbled everything up as well.
Jeff Foxworthy: Came for date night on a Saturday night. The place was fairly busy on both floors with large groups. Only one server tending to the downstairs which led to a long wait time for drinks and ordering. However, once we got our food it was worth the wait. I ordered a pea pasta with shrimp, crab, and clams with a butter sauce. Hands down best dish I’ve had from here.If you’re looking for a nice date night spot and don’t mind spending a little bit then this is your place. Great food, great atmosphere and great staff

Chad Bruce: We attended our company Christmas party at Schymik's and were impressed! From drinks all they way through to dessert, we were not disappointed. We had a wedge salad, filet, and asparagus and they were all top-notch. The filet was one of the best I've had. The chocolate torte for dessert was decadent. We will be booking for one of their upstairs experiences very soon!

Kat Garrett: I unfortunately had the worst service I've have experienced while eating out yesterday. I'm not writing this to be a prude. I'm writing this so hopefully the manger/owner can step up and do something. I had reservations at noon, and I arrived at 11:50. I was seated, waiting for my dad. I was able to order a drink. My dad arrived 10 mins later, and the waitress didn't come to take our order until 15 mins later. We both ordered the NY strip steak. At this point, the restaurant was starting to clear out; there isn't that many tables to begin with. Not only did it take another hour for our food to come out, our waitress didn't come by once. Not to offer a refill, not let us know what was going on. The manger had to come by to let us know what was going and offered us a 50% discount, which was not even applied at the end, and to finally refill our drinks. This was my first time visiting and I probably won't be back. I go to Sauced probably once a week as it's my favorite place to dine in Evansville, and I have never had a bad service there once and the food is always excellent. Hope Schymicks can get it together soon because this was a huge disappointment.
