Just It: Seemed to be a nice place in the beginning but things started going south. I was charged for services not rendered. I was falsely informed of the true intentions of meetings between lawyer and other party. The paralegal would say she communicated through emails; would double charge. The lawyer I retained FORGOT MY NAME!!!

Candace Spivey: Shaunda Lynch was appointed as my public defender in a case that shouldn’t have even been filed against me but instead of helping me fight the case she basically told me I had to plead guilty to something that I wasn’t even guilty of. The case was dismissed against me thanks to the witnesses with no help from her at all. I wouldn’t recommend her for anyone.

Pritam Emmons: I was very unsatisfied with the representation by Attorney Andrew Carroll of the Deig Law office. He was hired to represent me for an appeal to a verdict. After the last court date, he assured me he would notify me as soon as the verdict was handed down. It was 21 days after the verdict before he notified me via email, asking if I had the ability to pay the judgement. I had to call, as he didn’t tell me the amount. I told him I would bring the check the next day, when I delivered the check, I ask why it took 21 days to inform me, he said he would look into it. 11 days later I received another email stating he “mis figured”, and I owed an additional amount, the other attorney advised him that the amount was wrong. He requested I bring another check for the remaining amount, I was unsure of his abilities to complete this task, therefore I sent a check to the attorney myself. I did leave a letter of complaint addressed to Steven Deig with my concerning information in hopes of discussing the matter. I have had no response.Edit: 4/8/23, Attorney Steven Deig did indeed reach out 60+ days after I left a letter of complaint at his office with my contact information. Possibly he contacted me only after I left a review. His previous answer was “Andrew indicates developments in his cases are typically forwarded to his clients promptly. We are not sure why that did not occur in your case”. If Mr. Deig is not sure what is going on in his firm and it takes over 2 months to respond, what could I possibly have to say if I did call him back? If prompt service is what you seek from a law firm, you may want to continue your search.

Oliver Shagnasty: The only thing larger than the bills is Steve Deigs ego. The individual attorneys do a good job but you are going to pay double what you would pay anywhere else and everything including thier owns errors and unnecessary communication is yours to pay for. Steve personally monitors all billing and is near obsessive about it. You can find good representation in town without the overhead this place requires.
