I always enjoy their coffee and cookies. They also taxied my wife and I to and from Tristate orthopedics. We embarrassingly forgot a paper we had to have. Tim Raber: The service writer Grant Walker did an excellent job keeping me informed during the wait for parts, and when the work was done to replace the oil pump on my 2016 GMC Canyon. I talked with the service tech and felt comforted he could do the work. After spending right at $6500, my Canyon was returned to me with a full tank of gas and had been cleaned. I have put around 100 miles without a problem.The main problem is trying to understand why my oil pump failed at 62.000 miles. I purchased this truck brand new in late 2016 with about 8 miles on it. I had several issues under warranty. Shifter was replaced several times, air conditioning had to be recharged once. The biggest repair under warranty was when the heater core failed. This dealership did the repair, I had a loaner car for two months, and was reimbursed for a payment.Now that i have this problem fixed, I question the if I made the right choice by purchasing a GM product. This is my first experience with GMC trucks

Jeff Thornton: Since we moved to Evansville in 2007 with our Saturn, we have taken all of our vehicles to Romain and we have always felt like the service was of good quality and we have had many great experiences with the service department. Since October and November of 2022, the issues we have dealt with for our van and car (both with issues coincidentally arising at the same time) have left us with a very different experience. I will only address our most recent visit with our Chevy Cruze for this response. At this point we have put over $4700 into two different repairs for our car and after picking it up on Tuesday, the problems returned on Friday morning! We also dealt with a wildly different price from the quote we were given for our second (most recent repair which didn’t fix the problem). The quote given was $2012 and the price we were going to be charged was over $2700. This is unacceptable especially considering that the repair did not fix the problems that was supposed to be addressed. It was also frustrating to get a call on Monday afternoon that we had missed our appointment when we made extra arrangements with scheduling to drop off the vehicle on Friday night to get it in for a Monday morning appointment when we were going to be out of town. At this point, I cannot bear the thought of bringing this vehicle back to get more estimates and be overcharged for more service that gives me no hope that it will resolve the issue . We were really hoping to never have to come back to Romain again as sad as that is for us and the great service we’ve had in the past. Nevertheless, it looks like we will have to be making a trip back next week to see if Romain will try to make any of this right. At this point I cannot recommend that anyone take any vehicles to Romain. If anyone at Romain has any concern for this issue and would like more info, I will happily speak with them. More importantly, I would love for Romain to try to build back some trust with me.

Matthew Menke: I've tried to work with Romain but, I guess I'm not a customer worth their best service. I went to Romain from several referrals when it came time to find a new-to-me, used truck. At first, the customer service was promising; they understand our parameters and didn't try to fight us on them. After finding a truck that suited our wants and needs and we agreed on everything, but waited to sign anything until my mechanic could give it a solid look over. My mechanic found a few issues we negotiated to have fixed (in writing) before we finalized the deal. After a few days, I was able to pick up my truck with the guarantee that the things were fixed and I'd be good to go.... 4 days later, 2 of the 3 things they said were fixed had not been fixed. I dropped the truck off again with them and after not hearing anything for 4 days I had to reach out and was told that the tech was " too buried" to get to my truck and there was no timeline for when it can be looked at/fixed... as of writing this review, it is been 15 days since we signed initial paperwork and I've had my truck for 4 of them. There are still no updated timelines or diagnoses. The biggest kicker today is when I go in to speak with someone about my service I'm told they are working on it, but when I leave I see it out sitting in the back lot, still wet from the evening/morning rain with a dry spot underneath.Update: Once Enrique stepped in, I did receive my truck on the Monday as they have replied to this review. We have not had any issues with the vehicle since then and we are very pleased with the vehicle like we were before the issues with getting the service getting repaired.

Lane Ashcraft: Had great service from Mason the salesman and the finance department buying our new “used” car. 2015 Toyota RAV4. The issue is concerning their service department. We were told it was checked and serviced by their service department. We live several hours away and after purchasing the car on the drive home we heard some concerning noise. We took it to several shops and they all say there is a transmission issue. of course all we get from the dealer ship is glad you bought the extended warranty. It says a lot about their service department. They must not be very good when we had 4 just drive it and say it has a transmission issues.I will definitely will not by another used car from them and I would recommend other not to unless you are a mechanic or you live close and take it to your mechanic. We only had it less then a week.

Zach Martin: Excellent customer service and communication.The service team had full routine maintenance and two factory recall items completed in two hours. Topping off DEF tank during routine maintenance would be a convenient add to the standard service program for diesel vehicles.

We experienced a complete lack of proactive communication from the service department throughout the repair process. My salesman had to follow up with the service department to even get the repairs scheduled, even though the salesman had left Kenny Kent for another job a week after our purchase. The customer service and communication we received from Kenny Kent was the worst I have ever experienced in my lifetime, and not just from a car dealership. I will never purchase from Kenny Kent again.

John Clothier II: Brought my car in for a valve stem replacement.a seal that Kenny Kent said they fixed last time an charged me for it replaced before in a tail light. top off fluids. An repair defroster. None of witch was done. Boldface lied and said that the whole back glass would have to be replaced to fix my defroster their interior of my car was messed up really bad plastic rattles and does not fit and was not put together properly. The end of the day I was at the shop 4 hours an got nothing fixed. I still paid $149 for nothing. The guy behind the counter was obviously getting commissioned on parts because he said the valve stem was a special order a lie and the only way to fix that car was to put a new glass in. Another lie.
Chanda Burch: Had an appointment with the service department Thursday at 11:00…I explained to the lady that took my appointment that I would need a ride down the street to work and would be there at 10:45 so that I could be at work to open the store on time…got to Kenny Kent at 10:45 & there was no shuttle to take me to work. Very disappointed as I took time out of my morning to make an appointment and didn’t get my oil change. The young lady that helped me when I went in acted like it was no issue & was very rude. Very disappointed in the customer service.

Raymond Miller: I was about to walk away from Chevy forever after being loyal for 30 years. Something told me to give it one more shot. I traveled 1600 miles round trip to do business with Kenny Kent Chevy. I have never had an experience as awesome as this was. Sheldon and Zachary were great! And then there is Paul Beggs. I can't say enough good things about him. Who calls customers after work? Who takes my calls on his day off? Who offers to pick up customers at the airport and hotel? Who got me to the price I had to be at? Who treated me like I was family? Paul!! I will make that trip again to buy from him as long as this truck treats me better than the last one. But that's on Chevy. In the meantime, I will do anything I can to get Kenny Kent more business.
