Kristina Mundy: Rooms: The room that I got was beyond run down. A burned electric outlet, towel rack sitting across the bathroom sink, massive chunks missing out of the wall, no light bulbs in 2 of the lamps. And then I saw at least 2 full grown roaches. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave. I didn't trust using either one. The microwave was not plugged in, but it was sitting on a different sink right outside the bathroom. The fridge was plugged in but warm. I opened it and it had black stuff (mold?) in the freezer. And the smell coming from it lingered for a good 5-10 minutes. I took plenty of pictures and added them for anyone who wants evidence. Don't waste your money here! None of the rooms look like the pictures on their site!Noteworthy details: Roaches, part of the building has caught on fire. The lady at the front desk said they are remodeling though.

WBOOB TV: Omg worst hotel I've ever been charged for. No toilet paper I'm either bathroom then when we ask about it the hateful woman working nights acted like we were robbing them for toilet paper. The. Gave us a half role told us just share it. Beds dirty.ciggarette burns I'm bedding towels dirty. Room filthy. Roaches and bed bugs visible. And had the audacity to charge a 50 cash deposit. We went and slept 2 hours in our car and left. Almost 100 a room lost. Please do yourself a favor run from this place.

Kenneth Hempstead: Owner was standoff-ish and did not want to match Expedia price as he'd offered over the phone- had to play a little hard ball for him to concede. There wasn't any soap in the room when we got there and only gave us a bar of soap for each of us. Location was ideal for my professional contract work (~1.1 miles down the road), but the guy is a real tool, so be prepared for him to seem like he's never interacted with another human being a day in his life. No security system around the place, which felt as if it were a little seedy. Facilities were just okay, but had the bare minimum which was the only redeeming factor.

The Mac Attack Show: Motel 41 is not affiliated with The Mac Attack Show upon this review.I travel for a living, and have stayed in about every hotel and motel imaginable. This motel is by far the best (for the price) I've stayed in. Now I've stayed here quite often and here recently for awhile. I'll be checking out the day after this review.The motel management is kind, friendly, and understanding. Just as long as you're the same way. The employees are some of the kindest, and hardest working employees I've ever met. Whatever issue you have, within reason, they take care of it. From needing towels, to needing you room cleaned, they will take care of it. Remember, I did say within reason. This isn't the Hilton or Marriott. If you want that, go pay those prices, just say'n 🤷♂️.All rooms I've stayed in here, are very clean. This motel used to be a Motel 6. Over the years, different management has taken over. With the cost of living and building materials going up, the rooms are a little outdated. But some of the rooms are being remodeled at the time of this review. There has been the typical spider encounter in some of the rooms, but nothing else concerning health wise, i.e. roaches or bed bugs. Again, rooms are very clean and bug free. Plus, every room has really good wifi, and cable.After reading some of these reviews, and seeing some of the pictures from the reviews, a person would think this motel is nasty and unprofessional. I'm here to tell you, that's just not the truth. I feel as though some people believe if they spend any amount of money for a hotel, that they are entitled to Hilton and Marriott expectations and treatment. I'd say, if you spent $60, appreciate all that you do get, because it's a good deal in relation to the economy we are living in. That, or buy a camper, just say'n.I've enjoyed staying here and will stay here again. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I'd like to see at least free coffee and doughnuts for the guests in the mornings.This is a great place to stay for the price. But don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself.

When leaving the next day, refused to return our deposit. For no reason, they didn’t even check the room. I wouldn’t ever recommend this place. t moore: 1st room was a mess, but next morning my replacement was Great. Started with free small simple continental breakfasts, but eventually got smaller & smaller 'til there was none. The workers were great, some had there days. Have ran low on things tissue, Kleenex, clean towels at times. Laundry room makes just go to a real Laundromat. Any issues I had they fixed immediately, but a sewer or plumbing smell continued to linger ever so often no matter what they or I tried. Safe place to stay. For such a long term stay I appreciated even the smaller things and every bit of kindness.

Ari Eliefja: Look, you don't go to an "Econo" lodge for luxury. You go because want to save money, not linger in the as you're passing town. We got in after midnight and left by 8am. We booked the last two rooms available, and the staff were exceedingly helpful about finding us a crib at the last minute. Ok, the wall paint wasn't fresh, there's no coffee in the rooms, and some of the light bulbs were burnt out, but the bed was clean and comfy. We got what we needed from the place, a good night sleep, and headed on our way. What do you want for 50 bucks?

Chrissy Hammons: Great location for walking to/from the Ford Center, but the beds are hard as a rock and my tv remote was duct taped together so it didn’t really work. Room was basically clean. Bathroom floor hadn't been mopped and the doors, walls and trim could definitely use a good wipe down! The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and polite. Breakfast was really basic. Waffles, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal and apples/bananas. No butter, no toast, no toppings for your waffles, only whole milk available.

Pamela BB: The Quality Inn was a good place to stay on a recent overnight trip into Evansville. It seems like it was recently renovated. It was clean and updated. Their complimentary breakfast consisted of cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, granola bars and self-made waffles. The coffee was actually good. (Generally, I don't care for hotel coffee and never partake of the in-room coffee.) They had a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room and the TV was large. All in all, I would recommend it. Especially if you're going to the nearby casino. We got an Uber to the casino for about $8.50.

Leah Moore: Worst experience everrrr, do not recommend. I called the morning of and asked the clerk if they had a hot tub she says not down by the pool but in our rooms, (website does not offer jacuzzi suites) so I tell her I'm booking online she says okay, I go to check in and there was no problem, we go to our room and not hot tub so I go down and ask the man at the front desk what was going on he said I didn't book that room🤦🏻♀️ and I should have but how can you book something that wasn't offered I even showed him their online choices and non had those on it, he was rude and hateful said idk what to tell you, so I go back to my room to find a used toothbrush on top of a mirror the bath tub was gross there was spit and tooth paste on the bathroom mirror and a beer cap behind the door the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in forever, so I call the front desk and ask him to come to my room at this point I'm disgusted with the room and my service, he switched us two rooms down and there was stuff on the bed sheets and again the floor was nasty the man's reply was like it was bothering him to have to do his job, I asked why there was mini fridges in their pool area and he said oh the pool is closed mind you this is why I booked here in the first place so no I will not recommend this hotel or the people working there it's been 4 days and I have still not received my money back, DO NOT WAIST YOUR time book some where else !!!!!!!!Rooms: Nasty, trashy

Dave B: The rooms and buildings were pretty nice actually. The AC was not blowing cold at all and it had been left off for who knows how long so it was VERY hot in there. The AC did not cool in the least. We decided to go to the pool and it was cold. We asked about the heater and she said it wqs broken. Next morning we come down for breakfast at 8:20 AM and it was cleaned up. We asked them about breakfast and they said it was over. I then showed them the sign about 10' from where she said it was over and she then asked what we wanted. She then said it closes at 8:45 which was confusing. The smoke detector was missing and wires hanging down. Both comforters had hair on them. Bathroom door would not shut.Aside from this the place was actually OK. Very clean for the most part.

James Stevens: We are supposed to stay here during frog follies. I stopped in just to look around. There was no one at the desk for over 30 minutes. Nothing!!! So I just looked around. The place looks worse than it did last year, I talked to a guest in the hallway and he told me the manager that was there last year left because she couldn't get anyone to help her get the hotel to where she wanted it. Well I can tell you this place will close soon and I need to let my auto club know that the soul reason we where returning was due to the manager being so great. Since shes gone and the place looks terrible we might have to rethink staying there. If the former manager reads this message me on Facebook and let us know where you ran off to. Maybe the owner of this property will know what they lost when they lock the doors. Terribly 😩
Takesha Lawrence: Choice hotels should be ashamed of this brand and location. They claim to have just turned into clarion pointe and my question is how did this happen. Let's start with breakfast, I found 2 beagels with mold on them, the waffle mix was soured and if eaten would make someone very sick. I was there with my mother in law and she found a pair of socks at the bottom of her bed which mean it was not changed. They have a teenage boy working the front desk whom should not be, they have a young lady that speaks very little English and a rude general manager. The hotel is dirty dirty and it's sad it could have been nice with the right management. I would love to speak with someone from choice and inform them that this hotel is feeding their guests garbage and giving them a horrible reputation. I read other reviews and they where good when it was being renovated what happened??

K Lu: Actually didn’t stay after observing room(s) prior to check in. Still fighting with my bank/cc for fraudulent charges. Upon checkin arrival for our planned 4-night stay, we asked to see the room. The first-floor handicapped accessible room shown to us was dirty. Paint was peeling in large swathes from ceiling and walls. Feces from a previous user floated in the toilet. While waiting for the employee to change rooms, I walked down the hallway to walk the dogs. The exit/entrance door at back of property did not latch. The door latch machanism was broken. After seeing that the second room was also dirty and blazing hot at 91 degrees in June, we decided we would not stay. The employee refused to cancel the reservation, refused to give a printed receipt of the transaction and insisted on charging us for staying 1 night when we hadn't stayed at all! The "manager" was called. After 30 minutes wait, he arrived and offered to put us in the "best" room if we would just stay 1 night. We explained again what happened and he agreed to give us a full refund. The next day our bank records showed that Clarion (formerly SureStay) on Elpers Road charged us the full 4-nights stay. Despite phone calls to "Rick" the manager, we have to go through the process of dealing directly with our bank to remove the fraudulent charges. Recommend to AVOID this dirty, unsafe unscrupulous property.

Shelby Fowler: Don’t expect more than a comfortable bed. This hotel is fine, but the staff made it a horrible experience. Communication was a challenge. The breakfast was embarrassing, the pool was broken even though we were told the day before and at check in it was working. Come to find out, the pool was down for months and waiting on parts. If you have any issues the manager isn’t available until 3pm each day (after check out) so good luck trying to resolve anything. They are independently owned and separate from Choice, even though they have the name. The staff at this hotel are ruining the good name of Choice Hotels. Avoid if possible. (Bed was comfortable and room was clean, but don’t expect more than that)
matthew Fowler: Called the day before driving 12hrs to this hotel to make sure the pool was open, as our daughter loves swimming and was the main reason we booked the hotel. Was assured pool was open and running. Arrived at hotel and checked in, and asked receptionist if pool was open and she said yes. Took excited daughter down to the pool, to find it murky and clearly not running. Went to desk and told receptionist who said, yeah it has been down for months.

Elizabeth Jarman: DO NOT STAY HERE!! I’d give it 0 stars if I could. I checked into the room around 8 PM. I was out running around so I didn’t get into the room until almost 11. I showered & laid down. Not even 5 minutes later a BED BUG was crawling on my leg. I went down to the desk & the man was very rude. He stayed on his phone & I forced him to talk about the situation. I’m going back tomorrow to try & get a refund bc he said talk to management. Again, they have BED BUGS!!!

I felt very uncomfortable. I did what they wanted and left earlier than I planned. I drove to a parking lot to wait until it was time for me to be at my appointment. I will not stay there again because of this.

Edwin Rivera: Everytime we stay at a hotel in this town, this one is our go to! Regardless of price! Friendly staff, always. The overnighters are always extremely helpful if I have any concerns, questions, etc. The róoms are chique and modern and looks expensive for it being on average $100 a night, including deposit.Rooms: Always clean, modern style, chique. Love the breakfast/tabletop bar island in the middle that also acts as a divider between the bed space and the living room. Nice hot showers, clean to boot. Toilets and sinks are also clean along with the MVP, the king bed. Even with a blacklight, the sheets show zero stains. That's what I call an underrated hotel. Kudos to Econo Lodge on the east side past the shopping centers/mall!Food & drinks: Biscuits and gravy aren't half bad, just be sure to microwave them. There are two waffle makers and instructions are easy to follow, just be sure to spray PAM on both sides first before closing and flipping over the waffle inside the maker.. otherwise you'll be stuck scraping burnt, stuck on waffle for what seems like an eternity while your face glows beat red. Ha!Noteworthy details: It's setting is pretty far removed from civilization but only by about 1-2 miles. However, I remember a 24 hour gas station and also white castle right by the hotel for those checking in late. Very nice gas station, tóo. You'll likely need the ATM for the cash deposit if you want it back the next day instead of waiting for the multiple day ACH transaction to be canceled and returned back to your account. SAll in all, until they prop more businesses open, it's very quiet out there (no busy roads/intersections/few buildings/mostly empty plots of land. there are lots of grassy area and sidewalks to walk dogs and clean up pet messes as well.

Ashley Hook: I rented a room for my tenant ( I was having the floors redone in his apartment unit). The reservation booking number (800) was awful to deal and was mis leading. BUT let me say this. When I got to the hotel to check my resident in, the hotel was clean. His room was clean and he was happy. He loved the breakfast. The front desk clerk was very attentive. Once at the hotel the check in and check out was fast and easy.

Charity Rae: My guy and I had checked in late and were exhausted and tired. I used choice privilege points, upon arriving, I asked at check in if I could have a late check out night clerk said no problem. Upon arriving to our room it was very humid and hot that the a/c unit took several hours to cool the room down, became very uncomfortable. The shower fixture had black mold and this room in particular should not have been let out. Day desk clerk said we should have reported it when we arrived. I stated we were already tired and wanted privacy not to be bothered by staff. Upon check out I asked for my points to be reimbursed clerk said she wished she could. I said points should be credited to my account when the stay was not good and a late check out should be noted that the credit card will be charged for late check out.....bad business. I do not recommend this choice hotel chain.
