An immigrant from Eastern Europe Moses Goldman arrived in the Evansville having made stops at Ellis Island and Chicago. By trade, Moses was a shop keeper and cobbler. His son Ellis, also born in Eastern Europe, followed soon after. Successive generations have all been born in Evansville.
The business, like most, has evolved over the years. Basic collateral is still selected by longevity of value (diamonds, gold, firearms, musical instruments), but has always included culturally valuable ephemera. What used to be saddles, roller skates, leather shoes is now digital cameras, game systems and musical processors.

Matthias Moore: Creepy old guy who works there kept hitting on my wife and staring at her breasts. Very uncomfortable would not recommend.
Brittany Miller: The last time I called they were able to give me an estimate. I called today & they couldn’t, then told me I had to come in for one. All they did was took a quick look at my device, didn’t turn it on or test it or anything and told me a strict price. I understand not everything can be given an estimate over the phone. But for me to come in just to have him not even do anything is ridiculous. I wasted my time when he could’ve given some kind of info over the phone.
Jessica Jones: Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! We immensely enjoyed every minute here! They have beautiful jewelry and reasonable prices! We found exactly what I was looking for! My very unique vintage wedding band looks like it was made to go with my engagement ring bought at a different jewelry store 😍
