Deaconess Lab EXPRESS - Midtown Hospital: what do users think?
Patrick Lively: Friendly and courteous staff, very experienced and gentle when doing an ultrasound for an injury to my groin area.
Ryan Cruse: The ER staff is kind and did a decent job. The Lab on the other hand is an absolute mess. Nobody knows how to do their job and the hospital is dirty and unsanitary.
Jonathon Klem: Not sure if they're just perpetually on lunch or if they just hang their coats on the chairs and leave. I would avoid at all cost if your time is at all valuable.
Kade Crowe: Always quick and easy!
C. Marino: Hours on the website are NOT accurate. They are open 7:30 to 5. M-F.
Chelle “It's Chelle” Burch: They are fast & accurate. They are in bldg next to parking garage...suite 330

Deaconess Midtown Hospital: what do users think?
Shirley Dye: This hospital is bad my husband has been on the same meds for twenty years they decide to take him off it without contacting his primary care physician now he is worse and they act like they don’t care
Brandon Slisher: My wife was admitted to the ER. Because insurance is insurance, they refused to pay for a partial amount. Deaconess promised us we would be okay, if we applied for financial aid and waited for their notice in the mail. They stated if we were refused, they had a third party option available. They instead lied, sent it to a debt collector, and when I called said, “Sorry Sir, we are too understaffed to do our jobs and there is nothing we can do even though we promised you we wouldn’t do this. Is there anything else I can help you with?” Thankfully I have background in customer service, so I knew they were reading off a note card more or less. I was going to waste my time arguing with them. Unless your life is in peril, try every other Aves first before going to this hospital. We will go anywhere else but here.
Jay Forbey: Staff / employees were above expectations. Polite and reassuring.
Nee Nee: Don't take a job with Deaconess in Evansville, Indiana. My husband and I are a traveling pair and was canceled after 1 month with 9 other travelers because of low census.Just paid an Air BnB Friday and we all got cut Monday.Avoid this hospital. Poster taken from an anonymous poster
Varkaz X: Bad hospital. 0/10
Brittany Simpson: I love this hospital and the staff. You guys go above and beyond measures to help anyone. You don't let anyone leave that is sick until you've got them better. Number 1 hospital for me I wish I could give you 10 stars 🌟 St. Vincent messes up and you guys are quick to jump through hoops to get it figured out. You guys are the best
The Black Sheep: Great hospital with compassionate and efficient staff who took great care of my family member and got him out quickly. He was also very impressed and praised the nursing staff.
Francie Smith: The Dr that preformed my husband's surgery was amazing, as well as her NP. My complaints are with Deaconess Midtown.I saw my husband off at 8:30, received the post-op consultation at 12:00 and did not get to see him until 5:30, when a room opened up. I ordered food for him, it took 2 hours to get there and it was not good. Not a restricted diet, just off the menu items. Taste, amount and timing was bad. I ordered his breakfast for 6:30 at the same time. Post surgery care and overnight was top notch. Fast forward to this morning, food arrived cold and 2 hours after desired delivery. He couldn't eat it. The NP was there at 8:30 to remove his drain and release him. The nurse on duty printed the papers and let him walk out of the hospital at 11:00. Two full hours after he was released. Kind of makes sense now why it took 5 hours to get a room yesterday.Deaconess treat your staff and patients better!opened up.
Indiana Silver: Someone should really evaluate this place. The people here are hateful. When you take a love one in need of medical attention you hope to actually get help. Not her!!! You just get sent home. !!!!!!!!!!!!!We will never be back
Susan M.: Food was terrible. Nurses are great but wait time was terrible due to obvious shortage. Surgery personal outstanding! Administration needs to treat their personal better. You have 1000 job openings? Take a good look at yourself higher ups!!! So sad.
M W: Lots of walking.
Todd H: These people are ghouls. Try to work with them on billing. Nope. Send it to collections. Take $20,000 out my retirement (at a huge penalty) to pay off the collections, and I'm told everything is good. MyChart shows zero balance.Three years, yes, THREE years later, here's another bill for 2 grand. I thought this was taken care of? Nope... You forgot about second collections. We broke the bill into two pieces and sent it to two different collection agencies. Surprise!GHOULS.(I must point out that most of the nurses during my stay were great though)I've been using Ascension St. Vincent for the last three years, and I've had wonderful service. I highly recommend avoiding Deaconess altogether and checking out Ascension St. Vincent.
Courtney McKinley: Some of the nurses and techs were sweet, and we are thankful for that, but everything else was a nightmare. I recommend staying far away from Deaconess hospital. This place is a joke and horrible care! Even the nurse said they cannot believe our family member is going home in this condition. He’s seen the surgeon one time for 3 min and no Dr since. 2 days ago. He got 3 different answers from therapy, was told he would be here until further arrangements could be made for rehab, home health care, etc. Then they discharge him an hour later with instability, shakiness, confusion, and no arrangements for anything. They ordered him to not get around without a person to help and a walker, but then didnt order a walker. Now we all just sit and wait for 2 hours or more for a walker because the one in his room we can’t take.
Lauryn Watkins: Visited here while my family member was sick. The nurses here are very helpful and nice, the cafeteria has good food and well cleaned. Also there’s a sweet worker named Jane on the 2nd floor receptionist desk very nice woman! Need more people like her in this world.
Blanche Devereaux: The staff I've had encounters with in both the ER and being admitted to an upstairs unit have all been delightful and compassionate. Much more caring hospitalists in comparison to Ascension.
Charles Buxton: I found all personal, doctors and nurses very professional, personable caring and efficient. The nurses made my stay much less stressful and the facilities were clean and well equipped with modern equipment. If I ever need anouther operation, I hope it can be performed at this hospital.
larry o: My mother has been to this hospital twice in the last two years with the same results so it's not just an anomaly. Both times she was left without meds and food for eight plus hours in the emergency room and the room she was eventually given upon admittance. She is a diabetic and is supposed to eat and take her insulin on a schedule. The previous time she almost asphyxiated on her own vomit as she was trying not to throw up and make a mess in the hallway of the emergency room where she was taken in her wheelchair. This was during covid times so we weren't allowed to be with her. When we saw how poor their care was I asked for and was denied the ability for anyone from our family to be allowed to be with her overnight. This visit on November 18 and 19 of 2022 was more of the same thing. No food, no medicine, on any type of schedule. IV installed but not started for eight hours after her arrival. Same old story about their short handed and their sorry when you can find someone to talk too. Cannot stress strongly enough if you plan on going to this hospital bring your own food, medicine, and caretaker because the best you can hope for is concierge service from the staff.
J S: Emergency Room visit was a joke, we had to repeat to everyone we talked to on what medication my son took before we got here. They are not listening to the patients, or for the parents for that matter. The doctor prescribed more Tylenol, after we told them repetitdely that he took some Nyquil before we came in.No respect for the family's having to come in here because all other Urgent Care offices are already closed. The room was absolutely disgusting, the floors has dust bunnies all over, hasn't been vaccumed/swept in months. I guess the A/C wasn't working either, it was hotter in the room, then it was in the waiting area.We will not return here again for emergency visits. As far as the hospital stay, Jenny, one of the nurses here was awesome, she consistently went above and beyond to assist with all of my wife's needs. She really made this hospital visit a joy rather then an unpleasant necessity.
John Jones: The lady in the MRI department at the desk on 11-3-22 is very rude and will not even check and see why my wife is doing MRI and it's taking over 1 1/2 I would rather die than come back to this place if they had neg star u be receiving neg 5
April Vincent Davis: Update: My husband passed away!My husband was having serious pains in the shoulder and collarbone area. Deaconess told us there is nothing they can do and gave us a Referral for a orthopedic doctor. Let me mention we went to deaconess 4 times! The 4th time the guy in The triage area told us thet wont do anything because they already done tests on him. Which I clearly pointed out they only did a single x-ray on my husband. We went to midtown cause it was the closest to our house and the car ride was hell on him.. Then I had to call the ambulance to get my husband and we went to St.Vincents. come to find out my husband had multiple infections in his blood, lungs, bones and in his aorta!St.Vincents told me they dont know how he was even still here!!My husband has been through complete hell! He had to get a huge hole in his chest for the vac! It wouldn't be like this if deaconess would of done blood work the end of July! We've been at St.Vincents since last month! They are supposed to help the ppl and not Medically neglect ppl! They look at everyone like they only want a Prescription! Even though my husbands BP was extremely freaking high! They want to sue ppl for money but you can't get them to do their job to save a life! A orthopedic doctor could help us????!! Really Deaconess!
Austin Duke: Go to st vencent

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville: what do users think?
Mark Norman: The billing services they use is a mess. I am very un happy with them at this point.I keep getting different stories each time I talk to them. They still have 1,000.00 of mine and haven't refunded me any of it and it's been 3 weeks.
kyle campbell: Me and my girl hated it here when we were at the NICU all the nurses and doctors and everyone was watching us they were rude and the social worker and some of the nurses and doctors were discriminating against me and being racist and trying to take my baby away from me I will never come back to have a baby there worst people there ever and not very helpful and I will never have a social worker ever again and the NICU people are the worst
Rebecca Johnson: The entire ER rooms need a sprucing up. A massive overhaul is needed. And instead of changing the name of the hospital take the money for a new sign and spruce up the entire hospital. And the man who is always outside protesting deserves to be heard.
DJ Smith: Honestly horrible! It scares me for the people there who can’t speak for themselves and don’t have family members to stand up for them. Super unorganized , can never be on same page about anything either. One person will tell you one thing, then someone else will tell you another. Can’t even give family members a time frame on when procedures will be done. Tell people they are fasting for a procedure, so don’t give them food all day, just for them to say they are doing it another day, therefore the patient is going without food and water unnecessarily. If the hospital actually had an organized schedule and clear communication throughout staff, would probably be much better. But unless you can check on your family member everyday to ensure they are feeding them and informing them correctly— don’t go here!!
John Kuntz: The service at the ER is kind of hit and miss. I've had both the best experiences and the worst experiences there. The wildebeest at the check in counter is less than friendly.
Jen Jazyk: Avoid this place using all necessary measures for yourself or a loved one. There are maybe a handful of great nurses and/or techs, but beyond that it is a mismanaged nightmare. The few good, can't possibly make up for all the negligent incidences we witnessed and experienced.
Samantha Mays: L&D nurses were fantastic while we were admitted for monitoring.
Kenny Seaton: Friendly staff, very helpful. Concern about what's going on with you. Best hospital. Gateway hospital are very hateful staff
jeremy Ellis: They threw my brothers dentures away when transported to Encompass. Ascension took no responsibility for their actions. The nurse on duty was to busy doing paperwork to follow-up. This is not the first time. A lady named Faith had her dentures thrown away. The hospital should pay. Mary Ellis.
Billie Kitch: Tried calling for x ray results and no one seems to have them. Waste of time going here.
Linda Brown: I go Pulmonary Rehab at Evansville St Vincent Hospital. I go 3 times a week and have for years. I-go to the CAM Building. (Center for Advanced Medicine). It is always clean and the people employed there have always been friendly. The staff at the gym are excellent and great example of the quality of care that I have come to realize is standard care you can expect at at St Vincent’s.
TheoNlyMe: I've found this St. Vincent to be entirely negligent of problems and issues expressed by the patient. I had to go to another facility for treatment for illness 2x after going to St. Vincent because both times they failed to check what was actually wrong, despite me asking them to check. Both times it was Dr. Gladys, who is anything other than Glad, he is awful. I had internal bleeding and was ignored, and not checked. I had to go to another facility the next day to find out my reason for illness was internal bleeding. These incidents were around 2018.The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because they have great phlebotomist and such, but their ER doctors are highly negligent.
Blanche Devereaux: Hospitalist and doctors had absolutely horrendous bedside manner. I was in tears twice just due to the lack of empathy. Nurses were all quite sweet though. Thank goodness for them.
Joey Askins: I arrived to ER with elevated temperature post surgical procedure. Rather than ask me a million unrelated questions the ER staff got right to work to find out what was wrong. Because of them I am now feeling much better and recovering at home. Thank you so much for your kindness and compassion.
Jarod Rickabaugh: Never will I come back. Been here 6 times in my life and everytime they let me down. Never again glorified band aid clinic
Cassie Goetzke: First of all, I want to give credit to where it is due. My experience with St. Vincent Hospital was a great one on the most part. It was actually a healing experience for me as I had traumatic experiences with other hospitals when delivering my two older children. It meant a lot to me that the majority of the staff read my birth plan and did their best to cooperate with my wishes. Thank you for that! Also, the amenity of a queen size bed for an overnight stay at the hospital was very nice. Now the absolute best part of my experience at Ascension was a nurse named Peyton Williams. My goal was natural childbirth and Peyton was both knowledgeable and skilled to assist me with this goal. She listened to me. She spoke the words of affirmation that I needed to hear. She accurately recommended the movements and positions that I needed to progress in labor. I was impressed with her ability to balance professionalism and personal attention. It was obvious her heart was “all-in”. I felt like I had a best friend helping me and yet I had just met her and, in her mind, she was just doing her job to help me succeed. I have never experienced this level of care before from a nurse. Now the worse part of my experience at Ascension were the 1 or 2 nurses who came barging in my delivery room yelling at me to lay on my back on the bed. At the time, I was upright on my knees on the bed holding onto the birthing bar that the hospital had provided for me. I was in the process of pushing and had already gotten the baby’s head out. I remember feeling very calm and happy that my dream of having no pain meds so that I could push in an upright position and deliver my baby naturally was happening. The doctor hadn’t arrived yet and my husband was excitedly catching the baby and this was just the cherry on top for me. BUT, the cops (I mean the nurses) yelled at me and put a stop to it and ended up tainting this beautiful story. What was meant to be sacred was disrespected.I felt like it was more dangerous to change positions in the middle of pushing the baby out, but I did it (with help) so that the nurse would stop yelling. You know, I imagine that this nurse just doesn’t have enough experience with natural childbirth and, when she saw that the doctor wasn’t there, she felt the need to change the environment to the controlled births that she’s used to. But the hospital is the one who provided the birthing bar! If we’re not allowed to use it, don’t give it to us.If Ascension wants to be inclusive in empowering all types of birthing women, then they need to train their staff appropriately and make sure that they’re all updated to the methods and approach needed. Seriously, I would let Peyton lead the way!
Nicholas Talerico: to be honest hospital staff and wait time was extremely rough then can't properly diagnose people and then second guessing what it couldn't or could be overall give it a 2/10 star needs improving badly
Logan Matlock: 5 stars purely because of the doctor Brandon Taylor not only was he amazing at his job but he made us feel secure and like we had nothing to worry about, like I seriously cant put into words how good he was I've lived in this city my entire 19 years of living and not only have I never met a doctor that professional and nice, but I dont think I will ever meet a doctor again thats as good as him. GIVE MANS A RAISE.
Amy Donnelly: If you can go anywhere else, please do. Absolute worst experience of my life. Treated so rudely in office that I switched providers. They refused to fax over records to that doctor while I'm pregnant. That took several calls and getting my blood pressure through the roof to correct. Next they decided to not send an entire bill to insurance after 2 different recorded calls with the office stating specifically to. Now, they've sold it to collections within a month! On the phone with insurance because they pay 100% of these yearly visits. Absolutely the worst Healthcare practices I've ever seen. I'm shocked they treat patients this way.
Elizabeth Zavala: Really bad front person take first people came after my daughter they don't look there dying either so they take u back if they see u dying or what no matter u have pain right.
Kerri Reese: These people are so helpful and nice even if you complain they still help and not get offended. I appreciate you all so much. Thank you for hiring great nurses and staff you all really care and it shows
