Brett J: Good place to work. The work is steady, and you are expected to do your job. Overtime is available especially when guards move on or can’t comply with policy. If you want a regular 9-5 job security may not be the field for you. We work odd hours. If you are the type of person who makes situations worse when you show up, you won’t be a good fit. If you want to be a tough guy rather than de-escalate a bad situation try a different job. It is a good place to network if you are looking to expand into other areas of emergency services. It isn’t glamorous and it isn’t Paul Blart. The company pushes for a friendly, professional attitude with the public which can be challenging at times. Overall I have a very good opinion of the company!

Martha Schmit: This particular location only cares about the contracts they secure and the money they bring in for themselves. They do not care about their employees. They bounce you around from site to site off of other peoples word without any type of investigation. This company creates hardships on their employees instead of creating safe and stable work environments for the employees to protect. They hire people physically unfit for positions just to fill them. How can a 70 year old man protect a healthcare worker from an irate patient? Then blame the employee like its their fault the job "didn't work out". All they care about are contracts contracts contracts. No wonder the turn over rate is so high and they are now offering "sign on" bonuses for people. Because good luck staying in one place long enough to get the bonus. JUNK company! Go with someone else or try to get hired on directly with a company instead of these contract jobs. Contract jobs like G4S will NOT protect you, will NOT give you a secure position, cannot EVER figure out their schedules, and will schedule for 12 hour shifts without you even knowing it. Then write you up for not showing up. G4S is a joke!

larry harvey: I worked for securitas for almost 9 yrs. It was an okay job for the most part. The insurance was not the best and could have been better. Securitas is not the best in communication. In the almost 9 yrs we went through 3 site managers and currently on the 4th fire chief. Securitas has a really bad turnover rate because of pay and benefits. I still talk to some of the current employees and it dont sound like it's getting any better. So best of luck if you decide to apply and work for them.

Debo DeVillez: Love working for Securitas. They have the best ppl working for them. Too bad DSI came in and decided to take over Security per One Vectren Square and Center Point energy. I will miss working for them. They have been really good to me. If you want a job in the Security World, apply to Securitas. They are the best.
