State Hospital Park: what do users think?
Lori A: Nice place to walk, just watch out for the geese :)
Misty Johnston: We love coming here to walk or feed the ducka and geese with our granddaughter. Please only feed grains not bread
Michael Basham: Love this place.
Tainã Figueiredo: Just wish they had a small playground and more benches
Rebekah Pryor: I’ve always loved coming to this park, but it’s closed for renovations right now. Nothing on google said so and we found out when we arrived. All entrances were blocked off
Sydney D: Had such a wonderful time walking and feeding the ducks fresh fruits and veggies
Joshua Venson: Went there to fish real peaceful
kinetic44: a nice peaceful park in the middle of town, pond for fishing g, great smooth roads for running/cycling and a full 18 hole disc golf course! I love it at this park!
Zack Gehlhausen: Mmm park
Lyle Gamble: Great place for a morning jog. Lush green landscape , excellent for photography & several species of ducks everywhere, the only detractor is to watch where u step because of the ducks. Absolutely. No swimming or fishing in the pond. Nothing there. Enjoy the scenery & shade.
Autumn Lm: Very pretty, a lot of animals
Angela Jordan: Best Park in town 🧡
allen englert: Beautiful park. Feed ducks and squirrels
Star Weddle: Beautiful place to get out and into nature. The birds on the lake are always cool to see. Great place for a walk or bike ride with the kids. There is also frisbee golf. I highly recommend!
Jessica Brooks: Loved the view and had a wonderful time doing our maternity pictures there as well.
Annie Page: Wish it had more places to sit and picnic tables
chris owen: This was a beautiful park at one point. Now it's just run down. The park benches all look like they're about to collapse. And the shared road and walking/biking path are in pretty poor shape considering the trip hazards they have become.
eric galloway: Nice park to walk the dog and jog or walk but they put up a bunch of signs saying not to feed the ducks bread and soon after put a brunch of large rocks around the lakes so the ducks couldn't come up for food even if they wanted to. I solely went there to feed the ducks on a very regular basis and now that's close to impossible. In short, if you're going there for the wildlife go to a different park
Houston Brown: Fun place to relax and feed a lot of ducks!
VIP NEWS: Beautiful place to relax, run, and walk.
Heather Bresett: Very nice park. No playground, but lots of beauty and places to relax. There is a pond and a plethora of water fowl and squirrels that are not afraid of people. May want to take appropriate food to treat them with...not bread. It's a pretty big place and there is frisbee golf.

Harmonie State Park: what do users think?
Pete Koenig: Harmonie State Park is a hidden gem! Beautiful scenery! Wonderful hiking! Challenging MTB trails! Close to the river so there’s lots of wildlife. Also close to New Harmony, IN which is a town worth exploring. The history of New Harmony is a piece of Americana. It ought to be taught in grade schools. It’s a part of how this country was populated. We’re in a 34’ fifth wheel and there’s plenty of room. Enjoy!
irina: Beautiful place!
Brian Libby: Beautiful, right on the WabashPool with water slide and nice camping facilities.
Karen Maes: Beautiful state park on the river. Can't wait to go back.
Eduard C Hanganu: Great park. A lot of trails to walk and bike on. Also, a great place for picnics.
Keith Vanpelt: Good campground. Needs wifi
Will Shelton: Very cool state park with cozy cabins
Julie Ries: Had a wonderful 5 days at the park!
Jeri G: Had to pay to get in but it is a really nice park. Lots of shady picnic areas. One really nice picnic area right next to the Wabash River.
Jen H: Cabin rentals are a nice way to sneak in a quick weekend getaway. Wish they had tvs or at least weather radios. We had some impressive thunderstorms roll through with hail, but with cellphone reception being so bad at the park we had no way of knowing how bad the storms were.We also recommend leaving the extra cabin key on the back deck. The door locks behind you and the key is needed for re-entry. The sign says to call security for lockouts, but cell service was so bad calls wouldn't go out. Thank goodness we had friends staying close so we kept yelling until they heard us and came over to laugh and help get us back inside
Jennifer Thompson: Wonderful state park nestled on the banks of the Wabash River in southwest Indiana. Standing along the banks took me back to a time when destinations along the river were frequent stops for boaters. The park was wooded & quaint. We explored the playgrounds our young kids enjoyed, we hiked, relaxed in hammocks outside our family cabin, and made a trip into the darling town of New Harmony that added to the nostalgia and overall great experience of our short getaway. The park and the town allowed us to slow down from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The family cabins were nice and roomy. They were well kept and slept seven of us comfortably. I’d love to return in late fall when we can take advantage of the wood-burning stove. From card games around the kitchen table, coffee on the rear screened-in porch and smores out front cooked over our campfire we all truly enjoyed this trip and would love to come back!
C J: We used this campground overnight but it would be a lovely place to spend a week at. The campground was super clean and the hosts gave us friendly greetings. The bathrooms were older but clean. I didn't see any trash anywhere. There is even a pool.
Lauren Neale: The amenities here are great especially if you are camping with the family. The nature center and extra activities on the weekend was fun and unexpected for a state park. Ample bath houses was nice. They do need a bit of upkeep, some of them have a lot of some type of worms all over the showers. There were ample spots to choose from even on the weekend which is rare. The staff and hosts were all friendly and helpful. This park is also beautiful with well maintained trails.
Brian Fisher: Go on a weekday, otherwise very crowded. Pool was closed (as in boarded up). Huge campground... some sites moderately unlevel...most seem fine. Close to New Harmony for a pleasant historical visit.
Tiffany Castillo: Very nice park with very friendly staff! Enjoyed our visit and the nature walks!
Jon SUTTON: Harmonie State Park is gorgeous and the hiking trails are fantastic.
Mike Hedge: Grass was not cut showers and bathrooms was dirty and had mold and walls had paint peeling off and staff was not all that helpful
Monica Glenn: Very beautiful place. Camp ground has a lot of options and space from one section to the next. If you are doing RV type camping the sites are great but for tent camping you have to be careful which spot you choose as there are places that don't have the best tent camping land (hills, space). Definitely right on the water so perfect for boating.
Elaine Sollars: Our favorite place to go camping. Clean and spacious
Rick Lents: Had a great time camping at New Harmony we had stay in the cabins and this weekend we stayed in a camper. GREAT TIME and the facilities were great.
Jim Duncan: Views of along Wabash river were lovely, boat ramp was muddy.Trail 4 had lots of spring wildflowers and walking along creek between hills was relaxing.

Took my Granddaughter to play in the splash park there is one dump bucket and two little sprinklers what a joke she is two got bored quick big waste of money I won't be back unless she takes up swimming in her future.
Errick Lickey: Nice public park

Todd Bredenkamp: Great paved bike/walking trail. Tennis courts are also marked for pickleball, but the courts are cracked. Wounderful pool is a great place for family outings. They have shelter houses and cottages for rent. The camping area is available. They have a really nice BMX track.Picnic area: Again, it's a nice place for family outings. There are plenty of picnic tables.
Michaela Weber: Playground: My son loves coming here
Brylan Nation: We love Burdette park! We book shelters for all of our parties with them, they’re very helpful and always happy to accommodate anything we may need. The park itself offers so much for young kids to do, it’s a great family experience.
Angela Lord: This place is best place to swim, camp and more. Love it here
Jessica Spooner: We went to a wedding reception at the Discovery Lodge. It is one of the best locations I've been to for a wedding reception! The set up was perfect. It is very spacious. Plenty of room for kiddos to run around and not be in anyone's way. The whole area was clean and well managed.
Jessica Lynch: The Bishea building is a nice place to do things.
Eric Yoder: Great place for the kids and family
Ron Scott: Great place for get together for families and friends
Amy Findley: We love Burdette but really wish they would upgrade their playground. It definitely leaves a lot to be desired.

Burdette Park is a well maintained place from one end to the other and we are glad to have it in our community and we highly recommend it!!!
Harold Allen: Nice place. Lots to do.
Melissa Turpin: Shelter house 19 was nice.

Diamond Valley Park: what do users think?
YATES 13: Nice place to feed ducks.
Walter Alvey: It's a great place to fish walk the lake and feed duck's however the night life of the people is shady some of them that isPlayground: Meh it's ok
Amanda Jo: Kids love this place especially today with their puddle jumpin boots. We clean bits of trash while were there to maintain the hard work many others have done with the park recently. Definitely will bring some chalk for the wall next time. Beautiful place to come hang out for a bit. Beware though, the twisty slide is somehow broken... sad. Other than. That cool playgroundA lot less litter thank you to all helping keep the park clean. Still love to bring the kiddos here. My daughter likes to scare by hanging over the side of the dock, though, so we mainly walk around lol
Anthony Hite: Never crowded. It has a small playground for kids. Park benches to sit on. A paved path all the way around the lake/pond. Parking right in the street next to it. Nice place to stop to eat or take a break.
Michael Bass (McBiznass): It's really tragic. Poor ducks fighting for food and eating blue algae. There's definitely people trying to return it to an enjoyable place.
Chrissie Berry: Has good time
Johnathan Maness: Cons* Big slide on their small playground is cracked! Playground equipment was dirty. Did not notice a public bathroom.Pros* Great place to feed ducks, walk, ride bike (kids), Small field for little kids to play in. Not very busy.
Karin Pharr: This place really needs to be cleaned up,it has really went down hill
Tim Goodwin: Its not what it used to be
Charles Benedict: It would be nice if the Park and Recreation department actually cared about the parks period. Diamond Valley Park use to be a beautiful place to go for a walk or do some fishing. Now all you catch is shopping carts and logs. Grass and weeds need cut and the docks could use some touch up as well. We need more clean and safer parks around here so people actually have something to do. Call the mayor's office and complain. Just keep calling and pushing it down their throats like typical politicians do. Then maybe our city will be beautiful again.
Barbara DiSalvo: I was hopeful for good fishing but was very disappointed in this park. There are no parking lots, so you have to park on the street. There was an empty booze bottle on a table and what appeared to be drug paraphernalia on the ground as well. There was also a terrible smell around the lake. Even my 13 year old daughter said she felt uncomfortable there. We will just stick with the Bluegrass FWA for our fishing trips.
Michelle Felton: Kids love it!
Lydia Johnston: Went fishing here. Really nice trail goes all the way around. Super peaceful.
nick sutton: Meh..... its ok for a city pond, the playground could be better for the kids. There is a lot of growth around the lake making it difficult to fish
Marla Schutz: I walk here often with my dog, great concrete walkway and it is kept mowed...I would really miss this park
Fernando Gimenez: Very nice park to spend a moment in family... very clean and lots of ducks to feed...
Aaron Wright: Moo
jacob bauer: Nice little place to relax at. Pretty chill at least in the morning there's not many people.
Mike Irvin: Nice place
Kay Goodmon: Diamond Valley Park a great place to relax in your vehicle and watch the baby ducklings play and wait for there mommy to teach them how to survive .
Marissa Stetter: Great park with playground, benches, pond, and overhanging piers. Sidewalks around the pond are littered with fecal matter from the waterfowl in the area making it hard to avoid when biking or jogging.
