Elite Construction: Dr Troffkins is very rude ,arrogant and pompous! I don't understand why Evansville would tolerate a man like this. Lack of choices ? I have a back injury that has changed my life. I ask a simple question before I can finish asking he would answer what he thought my question would be. He told me I am a prime candidate for a back fusion but he will not do the surgery if I don't quit smoking,no explanation no understanding. I have to wait a month to get the CT scan. And my next appointment to be treated this way ? Maybe he's just having a bad day but after reading all the reviews on the web it looks like he talks down to everyone of his patients if that's how he is in his office I could just imagine how he is in the operating room Half-assed ,in a hurry and does not care about his patient. This is not for me!I am going to get another referral and find a different doctor. Why would anybody put up with this,read all the other reviews and you can clearly see this is not an isolated incident he is a mediocre surgeon in a little town.If you keep your appointment with this man after reading all these reviews you can't say you weren't warned

Shannon: Dr. Chou did mySpinal Fusion 10 years ago. I was nervous but he had an artificial spine to show me how it looked and then he added another piece that showed what he was going to do. Its been 10+ years since my surgery and i just had to go back a couple weeks ago. He is so knowledgeable and to the point. I have never waited long for my appointment. His receptionist is very friendly. My sister had him as her back surgeon as well. She loves him too. I just found out that he also desls the neurological damage a person who has been mentally and emotionally abused has been affected in their brain which causes loss of memory. I have been looking for this myself. I was excited to hear he did.

When I went to my appointment after being discharged from hospital he was very happy to see me even had tears in his eyes. I didn't understand his happiness or the tears so he explained to me and I quote "It is so good to see you sitting here in my office. When you came in to the ER and after evaluating your condition we didn't think that you were going to wake up from your coma due to extensive damage to your head. We were all surprised that you woke up and so quickly. That is why I am so happy to see that your alive and have a strong well to be." I found this very touching for a doctor to express this to me. You don't find this very often.

Amanda Miller: I had 4 previous surgeries on my back from a different doctor. As my pain would get worse, I would end up in the hospital and all the other back surgeons here in Evansville kept saying “there’s nothing wrong, it’s all in your head.” I got to my breaking point and my family doctor wasn’t giving up on it and found Dr Chou and referred me to him. So I came home and looked him up to see what kind of person I was about to deal with. On the first appointment, he had looked at ALL of my scans and MRIs, he went on ahead and ordered another MRI because I had started getting some more different complications. When I saw him for the results, he told me that the other doctor didn’t do what he said he did. So at that point I asked with tears in my eyes from the pain and asked what could be done. He said we are going to do surgery “very extensive surgery.” Got my insurance approved immediately and 2 days later I was in surgery. 12 hour long surgery. My pain is better already and I am 2 weeks out from surgery! I highly recommend Dr Chou!!!!!!! Don’t bother with any of the other back surgeons here in town, they don’t listen to you or believe you! I know my body and I knew something wasn’t right! Thank you Dr Chou for giving me back my smile and some relief so far!!!!!

melissa aldridge: Highly recommend Dr. chou. I have been in pain management for 3years. Was told to quit my job after 9 yrs. Had 2 jobs after that pain was still there. Had nerve ablation, SI Joint Injections helped but the pain was still there daily. Not my husband but me. Not a guy I would recommend to anyone. He has lousy bedside manners, he doesn't like explaining anything he does. He expects you to do whatever you're told whether you're the patient or not. He just expects you to be okay with it and if you're not you're going to get yelled at.

I was in a wheelchair for many years on and off.. this last year always in one... he did my surgery and now after almost a month I no longer use a wheelchair...in fact the day after I stopped using one, I used a walker ... I'm still recovering, I still have to wear a brace, but I'm doing well he helped me soooo much.... and the nurse's in his office spend time explaining, answering any questions. I never felt rushed out, I felt I could stay all day and talk to her... Sadly I had an appointment today I did not stay for an will not be returning after the experience I had with the blonde employee at the desk when I arrived! I live 45 minutes away from the office. I arrived and told her I had an appointment. She asked my name, I told her and she looked at the computer and said your appointment was 3:45. I looked at my phone and it was 3:53. She then threw her arms up and said "Where is your paperwork" instead of asking if I had it and I said I didn't get any. So then she ROLLED HER EYES as she grabbed a clipboard and said "well then you're gonna have to try to fill this out as fast as you can and I'll need your insurance card and ID. So I go to get the cards out of my holder and as I am she says " I can't tell you how to fill these out if you aren't looking at me" SHE WAS SO RUDE FOR NO REASON! I called my PCP about what happened and then told the woman I wasn't staying and left the office bawling and had a small anxiety attack in the parking lot. I've been in such pain for 7 months and now I'll be in pain longer waiting to see a new neurosurgeon. None of that was called for!

Pat Smith: Dr. Weaver performed an L5-S1 signal fusion on my back. My only complaint was leg pain after walking a short distance. My back never hurt, the first 2 visits he " seen no need for back surgery" after PT and steroid injections, he performed the fusion. I STILL COULD NOT WALK WITHOUT PAIN !!!! One year later after further testing that should have been done before the fusion, stents were placed in my legs and GUESS WHAT? NO MORE LEG PAIN. well long story short, I sued him, unfortunately I had to drop the case because I didn't have the money to fight him. NOW I'M SUFFERING FROM BACK PAIN --- COMPARED NERVE BETWEEN L4&L5 A BED NEITHER HE NOR HIS ASSOCIATES WILL SEE ME. Just saying get a second opinion on any surgery, sure wish I had, wouldn't be in this shape today. So they can all go u know where.

Brad Solem: I had severe pain under my shoulder blade. The pain would come and go for many months thinking it was a muscle problem. Dr. Sneed determined the pain was coming from the nerves in my neck which were impacted causing the pain under my shoulder blade.I had the surgery to fix the problem and it was a great success. I wish I would have had this taken care of a lot sooner. Living with pain in the shoulders is something I’ve been dealing with along time. Feel so much better.

Mlcb: Dr. Sneed took such good care of my 81 yr old mom! She ruptured her disc and was experiencing excruciating nerve pain. At her age, we had some concerns about the surgery of course, but Dr. Sneed far surpasses the national average for success. He was clear about what he could do for her and explained everything very well. Our family was able to ask all the questions we had before and after surgery and Dr. Sneed even allowed my brother to be brought into the conversation on speaker phone. Most importantly, my mom is no longer suffering the pain she had before surgery. She came home, same day and felt better than before surgery the very next day! She is now 2.5 weeks out and doing well. Our family is very grateful for Dr. Sneed!
