Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine: what do users think?
ESQ Truth Revealed: The real deal Indian Food flavors. And service is friendly and fast. Definitely coming back for the buffet again!

Malachi Greb: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Linda Powell: Food wasn't great, the prices have increased in the last year on the buffet and the food on offer was limited. Had to go and hunt for someone to bring menus to the table. The place looked like it needed a good clean. My shoes stuck to the carpet as we walked in. Won't be going back!Food: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Scott Schnell: Great service, clean, great food, good portions, fair price.
Cat Sparling: Another incredibly authentic and delicious spot in Evansville! We moved here from Maryland and have been desperate for yummy finds (we were incredibly spoiled with restaurants). I am floored by how delicious everything is. I can order my dishes to the perfect spicy ness and the portions are incredible. A great family spot and we’ve already been back for more, and carry out! I suggest garlic naan, shrimp Masala, and buttered chicken. The tomato bisque and French fries were also surprisingly delicious, I’m glad we’re threw them on our order!
David Johnson: Taj Mahal is not your destination for ambiance. You come here to eat. If you like pretty, turn back now. That being said, do not let the plain looks of this place fool you. The food is outstanding. I LOVE Indian food and am frankly angry at myself for waiting as long as I did to try it out.We ordered Pekora chicken and fries (which are weirdly good for an Indian restaurant) for the kids and they couldn't get enough. My wife and I ordered the tomato soup and garlic naan for appetizers, she got the shrimp masala and I chose the butter chicken, and for drinks she went with the hot chai tea and I obviously had the mango lassi which is the best decision I've made today.Everything was fresh, sauces tasted authentic, portions were spot on. We were blown away at the quality of the dishes. And to top it all off the bill was less than 60 with a big takeout box of leftovers for tomorrow.Do not sleep on this place, your lifespan is actually shortened the longer you hold out.
Murali Raghavan: Food taste is below average. They have unlimited buffet for 18 dollars for lunch.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Richard Joseph: Really terrific food and friendly service. Got it to-go and everything was on time, accurate, and hot. Can’t wait to try it in person, too. They have all of the staples you’d expect from an Indian restaurant… I definitely enjoyed trying some new (to me) entrees, too.
Brian Bratcher: I've only had the curry chicken level 4 and garlic bread it is very good every time. If you like less spicy 3 and under 4 and above much spicier but really goodFood: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Angie Bernath: Love this place! Some of the best Indian food I have had. Highly recommend 👌Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More

Jon Wolf: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
revmelody thomas: Food looks great, but as a vegetarian, I see no options. A wrap is not me. Salad, baba ghanoche, humas, tabbouleh, red lentils, etc. That is what I look for in Levant Cuisine.
Inderjit Singh: Best you’ll get in Evansville with same taste as NYC. Try there platters or gyros you can’t go wrong
Doug Eickhoff: Nice size portions and flavorful. Recommend!
Swag Meister: Death would be preferable than not having this place.
Logan Boyd: Kevin's Halal Munchies is a newer food truck to the area that I am aware of. I feel as if food truck might be sort of a stretch. I believe it's actually just stationary from the way the front of the vehicle appears, in addition to the fact they had a physical address and are listed as open every day and the fact the Kevin' also owns the tobacco shop in which this food "truck" sit in.The actual meat and food otherwise is really quite tasty, and prices are comparable to what you would expect to find at a food truck for a meal in the area ($7-10). Everything is made to order, and took approximately 10 minutes to get my food from when I ordered it.Really one of the only places in the area that seems to serve gyro's on a Sunday as opposed to big "chain" food store which is why we went here to try it out.The person running the stand was not very enthusiastic however - didn't greet us when walking up, no smile, and just didn't really seem to enjoy being there, which is the main reason for taking the star away from an otherwise great food "truck" experience! If you are on the west side of Evansville and looking for an out of the way dining experience, this could be a good choice for you!
Chris McNeely: Just ate here for the first, and it won’t be the last. Got the lamb gyro and masala fries. Both were great. Can’t wait to try more of their menu.
Raquel Denning: I am posting this not out of spite but I hope that this place can make improvements because it has potential.Long story short we ended up waiting for our order for an hour and 20 minutes. They compensated by giving us a free set of wings but we ordered spicy wings and they didn’t get that right either (no sauce) I am also a little bummed by how thin the Shawarma’s are and would rather have a thicker but shorter shawarma if that helps. I hope they can improve their communication on which orders go out to where because ours was mixed with someone who ordered through grub hub. I still have to try plenty of other things in their menu but this was quite a disappointing experience but still willing to give it another shot. Also if they are starting to get a rise in orders (which is great) they might want the cook to have an assistant during peak times & prevent long delays.
donald smith: Food was great, the cook could be a little nicer to customers... But I'm willing to try again for sure... I tried the lamb platter this time... Have heard the breakfast food is amazing...
Tweed: The chicken/lamb combo platter and the fries are delicious! Will definitely go back.
Lisa Powers: I just stopped for the first time and got the lamb and chicken platter. I was starving and could still only eat half because there was so much food! It's spicy and delicious. I didn't have to wait very long either. I'm hoping they add falafel to the menu 👍
Neeru Kaur: The food is amazing! Chicken platter and gyro are my favs. The fries are to die for too. Truly an experience! 😍
Kamaljit Kaur: Oh, my word! Your food is exceptional! I’ll be coming back here again! *chef’s kiss *
Harry Patwalia: I have to admit, they have the BEST gyros I’ve ever had. The munchie-o sauce is on point!!!!
