The moldy tiles were left in the basement for the remainder of our rental period. Rats were occasionally present and all work orders took at least a week to get checked let alone fixed.
Brock Wandel: Roof collapsed, occasionally vermin, and mold. Never compensated and somehow still had audacity to take the direct deposit. Do not recommend.
Jackie & Seth Seaton: This company is great to work with in every aspect! Chad was always making sure that my property was professionally represented. He makes sure everything is clearly communicated and will go the extra distance to make sure you are taken care of as a property owner. Roger Hutchinson: As a busy professional, I have been very pleased to have Fetter Property Mgt. handle the business end of my rental properties. They are currently handling 12 rental residences for me.They take care of everything! Rent payments, maintenance, taxes. They know about marketing and advertising and doing it on the internet - and I don't. And their fees are reasonable. It's a great fit for me. I highly recommend them!

David Helton-Thompson: Very friendly and info about the available properties was concise and informative.They have a great thing with the personal viewing of properties. Provide your info on the initial call to them and you receive a text or email with available times to tour locations pick your time. A few hours before that time another message will confirm followed by a message with a code for the location key box code. Enter code open box get a key. You have 2 hours to tour before code expires. When finished return key to box close it and all is done. No junk mail will follow or bothersome sales folks.

Stacie: I rented from Fetter for over a year and I would NOT recommend anyone to rent from them. Their response time for maintenance is horrible. I needed multiple of things fixed in the apartment and they either took forever to fix them or only half way fixed them. The office is not professional nor will they keep you informed on what progress is being made or if they will even fix anything. My apartment was upstairs and my floor fell in in 3 different spots along with my ceiling falling in. It took them FOREVER to fix them and the floors is what broke me and caused me to move. Don’t rent from them
Kaitlin Clayton: Stay away far far far away from this company!!This might get wordy and ramble a little bit, just naming things as they come to me.Office staff is rude , always rushing you off the phone.We paid $1000 for a house, it was absolutely gorgeous, but they refused to fix so many things properly, and if they did fix it, it was such perfunctory work. I do truly believe that the maintenance did the best with what they had to work with, which wasn’t much. The “upstairs “ has no insulation, no central heat or air. The “walls” were quite literally falling apart, they “patched” the holes but didn’t paint or sand it so we just had these putty spots all over. Once it got cold enough in the winter, we couldn’t even use the upstairs because, it was so cold, and using multiple heaters ran up the electrical bill. We had to literally sleep on the couch or the floor of our children’s rooms for up to a month.We asked multiple times for the drive way to have new gravel, by end of our lease I needed a full alignment on my truck because of the deep holes and ruts in the drive way. Also many of our guest’s cars scraped when going in certain parts of the drive way. There is just so much updating that needs to be done for it to be worth 995.00/ a month. Insulation, new widows, gutted up stairs and new walls built, gravel drive way, crack in the water pipe, and the list goes on and on.This house has so much beautiful potential to be worth the high rent price.My last and final point, when submitting a maintenance request I clicked may enter the home to help get the problem fixed faster.I learned my lesson real quick that I should never click that button. They came to do a service request and it was a day my kids were out of school, they just unlocked the door and walked right in , my daughter freaked out, and almost called 911/ hit him with a bat because they just showed up with out any notice or anything.When I called to complain about it they said oh well that’s your fault you put that they could enter the house to fix the problem. From them on, I made a note that they were required to call me before ever stepping foot in the house.This same exact thing happened with pest control also and again I was told this was my fault because i signed the lease that says they come every 3rd Monday of the month and I should of planned better.They can send me a text when they are coming to change the filters but not when the pest control is coming?! Again great potential. Just wish it was worth the price.

Tarra Short: I sent an email to Tiffany 12/16/2020 stating that I would not be renewing my lease. This email was sent via an already started conversation we had. I also talked to 2 different staff in the office about me getting the house ready for them to show to new tenants. Even letting them know I had filled holes in the walls and painted back over said holes, and bought new carpet for one of the rooms that had damaged carpet. At no time was I told they had received my email to Tiffany. I have several emails back and forth with Tiffany and conveniently the only email she says she didn't get from we was the one I sent about not renewing my lease. I see other tenants with the same issue with the same woman. It sounds to me that she is conveniently losing these emails so the tenants will lose their deposit and be evicted so the company can claim more money they aren't entitled to.
Jacob Daugherty: This company will say you owe rent after you move out and then end up giving you an eviction even though you gave them a 30 day notice of moving out. I paid a whole year up front because they wouldn't let me do month to month without a job for income verification, then after I gave my notice I would not be renewing my lease they said I owe them for the next months rent. Do not rent from these people.
Brandon Meredith: Ever since I reached out in regards to my application, they have been great to work with. Every time I have an issue in my home, they usually respond within a day or 2. I have only lived in my house that I’m renting through them for a little over a month, but they have been great. They have also been very professional and always answer my questions. I know they have a bad reputation and I have been told they are “slumlords” but the home I live in is very nice and they have been great. Also live in a great neighborhood in a great part of town. The home is not cheap but I don’t regret my decision to go through them. No complaints this far!

Kevin: I'm happy some people have had a good experience with them. But believe every one of the post about them nickel and diming you. They also aren't above threatening eviction if you don't do exactly what they ask.I want to respond the their comment by saying they nickel and dimed the Government for a $20,000 PPP loan that they didn't have to pay back $19,000 of. By claiming it was for payroll when they didn't lay anyone off for Covid. And that's just this LLC. One of the owners is a lawyer and I do not know his lawfirm, but if I could look if up I'd probably find more.
Wyatt Thene: Went in for an interview and was greeted by a very rude and arrogant staff member and didn’t receive any information on an address or who I was meeting with for several hours after the phone call. If renting from this place is anything like the experience I had going in their ran down building I would not be a happy client.

Went to go view a unit and “rently and deli muz” failed to provide the alarm code and since the alarm went off they said they wouldn’t rent or let me view properties at all because of THEIR mistake. RIDICULOUS. If it wasn’t for that id be more than happy to rent from them.
Carl Ham: First they told me that I got approved for apartment. Then they said I didn't have enough income even though I had almost 4 times what the rent was going to be. So instead of 500 for rent 500 for deposit. They wanted another 1200 dollar deposit on a 500 dollar apartment. Needless to say I told them our business has come to an end.

Then said oh actually the place isn’t even available after we said we wouldn’t pay that much. They seem super sketchy people to rent from.

They only do month-to-month leases which sounds all well and good but if you pay late they fit you every month and you end up paying rent late fees and eviction fees anytime you're late. I rented from them for 3 years and it was hard to find anyone to rent to me after them due to their policies.all my evictions are at a zero balance but they most property managers don't care. 3 years after moving out deli muzs sent a garnishment order to employer without even taking me to court first. when I called Trimble and Jewel and it requested to see why they didn't take me to court they simply said it's legal so they didn't have to take me to court.even though they have my most recent address and could have served me papers to my home they decided to blindside me send paperwork to my job which is in Ohio I work at home so they decided to go ahead and garnish me without my knowledge beware do not rent from attorneysT hey think they can do whatever they want to the tennats. The house I rented had rats chewing in and roaches bad I had to get out of there.

Allix Reynolds: After about three weeks talking with Heaven at Lowe Realty, we stopped into their office and saw they had a new listing that suited our needs. We turned in our applications immediately, paid the $25 fees (each), and we waited. After a few days I still hadn’t gotten any information as to whether we had been approved, so I called and was told I needed to submit paystubs, not just W-2’s. No problem. My boyfriend and I turned them in that day. We were told Wednesday we would be reviewed and sent an email whether we did or did not receive the listing. Fast forward to today, Monday, and I called again to find out on FRIDAY, another applicant was approved and given the house because they called the owner and he approved them on the spot. I’m trying to find the words through my frustration, because I know we had our applications in first, and had been working with this company towards finding our next home, and we are left currently scrambling to find another home before the 1st of April. I wish I could leave 0 stars.

The office staff is nothing short of amazing, everyone has always been very friendly and helpful. When we’ve had issues (which has been very few times) with our home maintenance is quick to come and resolve the issue. We’ve been very pleased with EHFR. Thanks guys for taking such great care of us!
Teri Schnarr: Rented for 3 years with quick response to any issues I had. AC unit went out and they had window units installed the same day until repairs could be made. Issue with homeowner not wanting to return my deposit when I moved out and the management company made it right. They will work with you to try and resolve whatever problem you have with your rental.
Mike Apilado: We did a one-year lease with Evansville Homes For Rent while relocating to the area. They found us a nice 5 bed/3 bath home. Every single dealing with this company was professional and efficient. Repairs were immediate and communication was positive. Our deposit was returned quickly.As current homeowners and past rental owners who just needed a short lease before buying, I would not hesitate to utilize them as a management company to find a rental or manage my rental properties.
Britt Reed: I was excited about possibly working with this company after reading the reviews and being with a rental company that is known for being less than subpar. But after the application process I was left feeling a bit hopeless and judged. I was denied before my application could be processed fully and my CURRENT health condition and disability was mentioned as a concern pertaining to whether or not I would be considered for the home I applied for. I was supposed to be get a callback but they stated my number was disconnected (it's not) and they decided to go with a stronger applicant but that I could reapply for another home. I'm confused to say the least and I'm sure my review will further lessen my chances at renting with them but my health, which is on the mend after an injury and a long year of rehabilitation, shouldn't have been a deciding factor at all! The staff was friendly and the process was going well until they seen me in person. Maybe I should have applied online. 😬😬Edit to reply to reply:After mentioning why I recieved government assistance last year for rent, the agent stated, "that's another issue, I'm afraid if your health takes a turn for the worse we might have to evict you." I don't hàve a terminal illness; I've just been through some very difficult, temporary, medical ailments. Not that it should matter. If your team member is comfortable denying the statement, I totally understand why. I wouldn't want to admit it either. I'm not going to report or push the issue. . It was just very uncomfortable having to explain my health issues and why I needed government assistance during one of my life's hardships to a complete stranger. I did so hoping it would bring some understanding to the situation.I do understand the rental process. And I understand the requirements.I have a right to make an honest review about my experience in case other prospective renters with similar situations decide to look into renting from your company. Michelle Levels: I rented from this company 15 years ago and I have to say they saved my life, literally. I left an abusive marriage and was homeless with 82$ in my pocket. They had advertised a small efficiency apartment that was available. The lady I went in to speak to about the apartment took the time to hear my situation. I was completely honest with her and told her my credit was horrible due to the marriage and I had just started a job and only had the $82. This wonderful, I wish I remembered her name, allowed me to rent this apartment on a weekly payment plan until I was making enough money to switch to months. She moved me into the apartment that day for just that little $82. She didn't run the credit check bc I disclosed to her everything she needed to know and probably some things she didn't want to hear. Because of this woman at Evansville homes for rent I am now a stable well paid strong independent woman. She was my angel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving me that day.

Cynthia Ward: This is the worst place to rent from. They are rude, disrespectful and down right dirty. They never fixed any of the problems in the house. The property manager lady is so unprofessional. Pretty sure her name was Monique. She has no communication skills and she will talk to you like you're beneath her. We rented for 4 years without ever having an issue with paying rent. We fell ill with covid and had Aurora paying for a month's rent because we didn't make enough with being off. They completely refused to wait for aurora to pay the rent and filed eviction. Ever since we have had the hardest time finding a home to rent. They completely screwed us even though we put our own money into fixing a trash house to make it livable. They are just all around horrible people. Do not rent from them!
Cathy Barnes: They take your applications and do not call you after they process them. Sat around waiting for a week know they had processed our info. Had to call them 4 times and finally got hold of somebody to find out what was going on and they had denied our applications and rented to some one else . The point that they told us we lied on our application for something missing that I told them a out. Because there was not a spot on the application to put it. Just would never use them again.
Danielle Obryant: I have rented from them for 2 years now and i have nothing but good things to say. They are very friendly to me and even helped me get into a bigger house. Every maintenance request i have ever put in was worked on the very next day. I would 100 percent recommend them.

The house I rented was HORRIBLE. From the over priced rent to the terrible customer service I would avoid renting from them at all cost. The people at Carousel property management did not help us with any repairs, the home was smelly and run down. When we put in work orders they did NOT respond for weeks and when they did, they would NOT FIX any of the problems and would come into the house without knocking. The a/c went out at least 5 times, The house was infested with MICE, and we even had huge RATS make nests in our living room. The worst part is that when we moved out the neighbors broke in a trashed the house and we were charged for the damages.**DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY**
Brittany Ball: Got charged for mirrors that were stolen from the house I previously lived in. I, along with my roomates, did not take the mirrors. The lady was very rude on the phone and did not do well with helping. Not to mention, there was mold/mushrooms they were reoccurring in the house, RATS, and dangerous neighbors. They would take WEEKS to come to do repairs and we often had to call back to fix it again. The gutter fell off the house and they fixed the wrong gutter. Although, the guys who came to work on the repairs were kind.

Charles Crowe: I rented a lower 2 bedroom duplex from carousel for $675 all bills included (this was a verbal agreement and they refused to put it in the lease) and they sold the house mid lease. They also showed the property more than 5 times while I was occupying the home. They promised that if they sold the house my lease would not change in any way and my payments would stay the exact same. All lies. I highly recommend that you double and triple check any agreement that you enter with this company. VERY unprofessional.
Courtney Handegard: I had applied for an application and had PERFECT rental history and well over enough income to afford the home with ZERO criminal background and was denied for my ID that was issued in 2015 that had said my address from 2015 on it. Even though I provided proof of residency at that time and proof of when we left that home also, as well as more than enough proof of the home we are in now. When I fought them they said they would consider my proof and get back with me and my previous rental company. Now they are not answering the phone for myself or the rental company. Seems to me like they took my $80 with no intention on giving me an approved application! I also went to another rental company to continue my search for a home. I had explained from the beginning of what I had just went through and I had found out that another couple came to them a few days prior looking for a home and had similar issues with Carousel Housing Properties, but they had actually taken these peoples money for a deposit, they came in to sign the lease and they had given the home to someone else. They took their money for a deposit and accepted their application!!! They did eventually get their deposit back but it’s the principle. Why accept an application and take money if you planned on giving the home to someone else. A deposit is for security!!! This is not right!
Glenn Hasenour: The problems renting from this company are numerous and they absolutely do not care to try to get them fixed for you in any reasonable amount of time. All the workmanship on the finish work inside my apartment is very shady. There is overrun paint and grout still everywhere in my apartment. When addressing the people at the property management office it's clear that they throw their hands up in the air and really don't care. The apartments are overrun by gnats in many of the units as we have found out from other tenants. Property Management just tells us that it's our problem. I run a business out of my home in what is supposed to be a luxury living apartment and the internet has been down for 4 hours and I cannot even get a good answer as to when it will be taken care of. This is not the first time the internet has been down in the less than 3 months that I have been here and we are just left waiting. Because I can't do anything for my business right now, I figured I would go ahead and save you lovely people from doing business with these folks. The cable TV that they chose for us through WOW! Has a simply horrible picture even though I am paying for a digital upgrade. The " Fitness Center" consists of one outdated weight machine, one stationary bike and two treadmills that you can't see the TV from. Last time I was down there I couldn't even find the TV remote. Also, our vents are painted over too where they cannot be closed so it is almost impossible to control temperature room by room. This place is advertised as luxury living and they certainly charge a luxury living price but I promise you that I would much rather be back in my old place at North Park Apartments where the price is 1/3 and the service is so much better. They had same-day maintenance and the maintenance here is almost non-existent. We actually lived here for 2 weeks in the summer when we first moved in without air conditioning. Luxury living? We spent a couple nights at the Tropicana Hotel just so that we could actually sleep and they didn't care, there was no reimbursement, there was no apology and the maintenance guy who came to fix the air conditioner just commented to me that it wasn't too bad in here and he kept his temperature that high all the time. Carousel property management or DPG want to hide themselves. They have so many bad reviews that they have to keep coming up with new names for their company. You can't even find Sunset Towers to do a review on specifically. With all of the problems that we had in the first two weeks, we offered to just move and cancel our lease but they have such a problem keeping tenants that they wouldn't even agree to that and let us go. It's a trap and I'm happy to say that we will be moving in late summer.

Benson Brewer (Brew meister): We live in a Condo Association managed by HBH! Not satisfied at all with their services or response to maintenance situations! Contacted them about roof repairs needed due to shingles being blown off in 2 separate wind storms. Sent someone out to replace shingles 2 weeks later and they put a lot lighter colored shingles on instead of the proper colored shingles. Remind you, these are privately owned condos, not rentals. Would not recommend HBH at all! None whatsoever!

I hope she can help me find my new home so I can be closer to my kids and grandkids. I want to thank her for her time and hope to meet up with her soon.
Audra Johnson: During the pandemic I lost my job due to having covers and I wasn't able to pay my rent. I was 18 and asked for help through a service that was helping with bills at the time but I need a paper filled out from the land lord but I never got any help they never called me back so I ended up getting evicted and charged for damages that was there when I moved in. There was a broken window, big plumbing issues that I got charged for and alot more. They never fixed anything while I lived there. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone

CC Williams: 7/14/2021- I viewed 6 properties owned by this LLC. ALL of them smelled of mold. The apartments being remodeled a few feet away from the office had carpet in the kitchen and bathroom, which is very odd. Upon peeling back a corner of carpet, I saw mold.(I am a truck driver and have also owned 2 homes, so I can easily recognize natural gas leaks, mildew and mold).
