The Book Broker: what do users think?
Michael Sites: There's something about the atmosphere of a used bookstore that just welcomes you immediately. Far more talented wordsmiths than myself have waxed lyrically about the draw and the magic of such places, and The Book Broker doesn't disappoint in that regard. One can spend hours browsing the shelves for their next read. Or their next dozen reads. The prices range from 50 cents to a dollar twenty-five fir most books there, so you can fill a bag without breaking the bank. They also have a large selection of table-top games and accessories as well as DVDs and blu-rays.
Juanita Burge: Staff is great and I can always find something there I can't find anywhere else.
Timothy Blankenship: This place has a bit of everything. Prices are usually very competitive and you never quite know what you will find. Hidden gems appear from time to time, but don't hang around for long.
Jeremy Wininger (SlaveZeo): I've been dealing with the Book Broker since I was a teen and they were located on Weinbach Ave. This is truly a great place to go for comic books. They've been able to hook me up with back issues I've been searching for on several occasions. I feel most everything I've bought from them hasn't been overpriced or overly marked up.The employees are where this place really shines. The staff I normally deal with are very knowledgeable of comic book nerd stuff and willing to give you their honest opinions. The Book Broker also has a couple of tables full of long boxes filled with 1$ comics. There is some great stuff if you take the time to comb through it all. This place also sells legit comic book t-shirts. I've bought a couple of Sandman shirts for my wife. It's awesome to get proper Tee's local.I can't comment on their other items such as books, movies or video games as I haven't purchased any.
Tod Bischoff: 1000's of books.
Rodney Cooper Jr: I used to live in Evansville in the early 2000s. I have such fond memories! Fast forward 20 years later, I live in Florida now, and I still have DVDs in my collection with that little yellow sticker with "$9.95" handwritten on it. I'm so glad this place is still open!
Bill McNutt: Very nice staff. Friendly and helpful. Good selection of products. A large store.
McCallister: Waste of time.
Justin Walker: Didn't care for this old place, felt like I was Treated as stupid and they have nothing but older junk nothing is organized and it's all based off what the employees like not there audiences
Mary Lee Gher: First time here - workers were wonderful to work with!
Chris Richardson: I love coming here and buying movies.
Robert Blackford: Love to browse here.
Josh Mayes (Amayzin): Best place to go for sports card trading. Pays fair, sells fair.
Paige O: Good selection of cards!
Eric Johnson: Good place for books dvds and cds. Wish they separated books genre. Eric from Lombard IL
Cheyanne Stone: I like the atmosphere in this place. They organize their goods better than other places I've been. Friendly staff and plenty of inventory.
Justin Peters: This place reminds me of the old comic book store I used to visit in my younger years. Great place to hunt for an old collectable. I personally buy card skins to cover my DC NFT card collection. I have also shopped comics there. Traded in DVDs. And over the years it seems to be a lot more functional and organized.
Christie Woodruff: They have a lot of items to look at and are reasonably priced. The employees are always nice and helpful.
M W: Great old books!
bryce bennett: Great store. Love the card tournaments and the amount of stuff you can get. I only have one issue. The sign on the door that says no concealed firearms. So…you are telling me, you want me to leave my gun in the car, on one of the most dangerous streets in evansville indiana, in one of the most dangerous cities in indiana. I think the owner needs to reconsider personally. Makes it hard to continue to want to support the business with policies in place like that. :/
Davyd T: Was a fun shop, lots of variety. I will be back whenever I'm in the area

Your Brother's Bookstore: what do users think?
Adrienne Jones: Cool independent book store with thoughtfully curated selection of books and board games. Beautiful, welcoming space with great displays. Bookseller recommendations are excellent.
Beth Cantrell: The owner was very helpful. He was so much fun to talk to. Went in thinking we were just there to kill some time before our event at the Ford Center. Ended up buying 4 books and some earrings! Would definitely go back. Check out the books covered in brown paper bags with a fun description. We got 2 of them. Can't wait to read them! Will definitely go back when we're in the area.
Victoria Vargas (Vicki): great recommendations, great vibes.
Elaine Buell: The staff was very helpful in finding what I needed.
Jonathan Kilgore: Best place for great reads!
Krista Wells: Loved this store and the story behind it. Make a special stop to visit if you get a chance!
Lovelling Streaming: Home away from home, these guys have quickly become friends to me and continue to provide a great space for the community every day!
Nicholas Talerico: I highly recommend this place if you're an starving artist that's looking to get you're creative back. I bought a book from here and definitely got my motivation to write again. Also they're very supportive to local authors. Go give these place a check out. 10/10 rate
Jeffrey Williams: Great people can be found within!
Joshua Bronaugh: I recently visited Your Brothers Bookstore in Evansville, Indiana and was blown away by the selection of books and the helpfulness of the staff. I had always been a fan of reading, but after browsing the shelves at Your Brothers Bookstore, I became an immortal being, thanks to the knowledge and wisdom contained within the pages of the books I read there. But what really sets Your Brothers Bookstore apart is the way the staff communicates. Rather than speaking aloud, they use telepathy to convey their thoughts and assist customers. It's a unique and efficient way to do business, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. And as an added bonus, all of the books at Your Brothers Bookstore are worm-free, ensuring that every book is in pristine condition.Overall, I highly recommend Your Brothers Bookstore to anyone in the Evansville area looking for a wide selection of worm-free-books and an unparalleled shopping experience.
Dave Armstrong: Friendly, well-curated local bookstore. Surprisingly well-stocked, fun to browse, with knowledgable staff who enjoy talking about the books and can make an intelligent recommendation. Occasionally has local authors, poets, music. Sometimes, local bookstores are just spaces with books, a little markup, and a cash register-- sometimes, they meet up to all your hopes for what a locally-owned business should/can be-- YBB is the latter.
Justin Adams: The store was warm and inviting, and my son had a great time picking out a couple books. Can’t wait to visit again. A great addition to downtown.
Bunny Hart: This bookstore is run and operated by two brother's who have a knowledge of books that's so deep James Cameron is exploring it in a submarine. It is speculated that Adam's round house kick is so powerful it created the Grand Canyon.
Ryan Matthews: I visited Your Brother's Bookstore as an author for a signing. Adam and Hamilton were warm and welcoming, just like the shop. The cozy little place is trendy, quirky, and rich in history. The owners and employees are very knowledgeable and are on a first-name basis with many of their clientele. The shop is located on a beautiful cobblestone street in downtown Evansville. I can't wait to return.
Corinne Johnson: Cute and cozy. The game and book selections are very well curated which I love because it’s not overwhelming. I just want to curl up on the couch with a warm drink and old favorite and watch customers come in.
Mike Mason: Great service and wonderful atmosphere.
Amanda Hall: I'm so happy this store exists in Evansville!! It is a fantastic independent bookstore with a great selection, friendly service and interesting programming.
Danielq Watzlavik: Awesome local place, check it out if in the mood for a good read. Had everything we were looking for
A Hatfield: Super great store with really cool stuff in it. And the owner is really wonderful person and enjoyable to talk to. They always have interesting things going on down there too.
Vicki Paulnitz: Love this place! Great owners.
Cam O. Glaser: Really great place. It doesn't have as much stock as a larger chain-based bookstore, like B&N, but YBB feels better. The owners actually take the time, on occasion, to talk to the customers about the books they're buying. It's just a really nice atmosphere, and I love it.

Bluestocking Social: what do users think?
Finley Roberson: Beautiful store, kind people, adorable pug!!! 10/10 recommend!
Mike Estes: Saw a flyer for this bookstore while walking through the theatre building on a visit to UE. What an awesome find! Great selection of books. Fun stickers. The owners were super friendly. So glad that we stopped in this great independent bookstore.
Todd H: Accidentally ran across this hidden gem when signing up for Libro (a great audiobook alternative to Amazon's Audible that supports local bookstores). My wife and I were excited to learn that Evansville had a local bookstore, so we went to check it out.Cute and clean little store with a very nice selection of books, as well as puzzles, art supplies and some really cool stickers. The owners are very friendly, and were very helpful with book recommendations. They will also order books if there is something you are looking for that isn't in stock.Highly recommended! I will definitely be visiting Bluestocking Social for all of my future book purchases.
Onyx Voice Acting: A quaint little local bookstore. Staff was very friendly and was receptive to friendly chat and joking with me which made me feel more than welcome. Local crafts line the left wall and I bought several candles as well as a sticker and a pin and several books. I will be returning for future shopping.
Harmonious Grace: Awesome collection of interesting finds. Friendly help and inviting displays. Look forward to coming back
Keith Cecil: This independent, locally-owned bookstore contains a well-curated collection of books and art supplies. They also have interesting jigsaw puzzles and a cool assortment of stickers. This place is one of Evansville’s best kept retail secrets.
Mark Hatlestad: Nice selection, great atmosphere, friendly service. So glad to have an independent bookshop in town! Great place for art supplies as well.
david wilson: The best, artsy, locally owned bookstore!!! The owners are terrific!!!
Lauren Calhoun: Everything a local independent bookstore should be! Cozy, clean, friendly, good selection without being overwhelming. A shop with personality, can't wait to visit again
Linda Walton: First time shopping at Bluestocking Social but won’t be the last time. We were pleased to find this gem of a locally owned bookstore. Friendly greeting when we entered the store, and also greeted by the cute dog staffing the store that day. We purchased a book by a local author and a children’s Christmas book. Support your local bookstore!
KT Wantland: Great selection, the friendliest staff, and always a chance you’ll get to see some cute furry animals like Huxley the pug hanging out at the shop! An Evansville gem!
Janine Scott: Fun indie bookstore. Owner operated. Includes art supplies, original artwork, and, of course, books
Bobby Douglas (Chewtoy): Relaxing 😎
Amy Gleaves: Great local bookstore! The owners were super helpful and friendly, and helped us pick out a book for our kiddos. I loved the selection of vintage puzzles and other fun products too!
Joshua Ohmer: Bluestocking is a little shop with a lot of personality. The book selection is small, but thoughtful, including both classic works and some of the best new fiction. Additionally, they carry some important essential supplies for artists, and some great giftware made by local artists and artisans—stickers, tee shirts, jewelry, and more, comprising both literary and Evansville themes.
Elliott Kieffer: Super friendly and helpful staff! The store itself is super clean and beautifully set up. Definitely a top tier place to purchase books in the south west Indiana area!
Isabella Stratton: super friendly owners and great selection of books, art supplies, and other awesome items!! definitely a place you need to visit :))
Becky Frazier: I visit this place all the time. It’s an adorable bookstore with fun gifts and friendly owners. If they don’t have the book that you want, they can order it! But by far, the best part is that they usually have a dog around. So unless you are soulless or have an inconsolable fear of pugs, you must go.
mark zimmerman: Love this place!
Mike Mason: Great independent bookstore. Will definitely return!
Jessica Beheydt: Wonderful selection of books!! Old and new titles, as well as local authors and local artwork. Highly recommend!

Ivy Tech CC Evansville Campus Bookstore: what do users think?
Trevor Zane: They are always friendly and very helpful!
Abby Wright: Anne spoke with me on the phone today and had the most horrible tone of voice, as if it was a bother I was calling. She wouldn’t let me tell the whole story before cutting me off multiple times. This is the second issue I’ve had calling the bookstore this year. The rudeness makes it even more difficult for students who are already having trouble navigating through their education process. Do better.
Chris Albert: This place has a line that wraps all the way around the building constantly, and I mean constantly (at any time of day). BUT the wait isn't painfully long and the order has always been correct. If you can wait it's a good place to stop.
Bonnie Adler: Books are free this year but if you want a paper copy instead of a digital copy, it will cost you.
Andrea Wigginton: This is a place a person is forced to go. The older ladies who work there, work hard. What has been a burden is the fact that they are only open til noon of Fridays...even when school is set to start classes on a Monday. One would think they would make an exception at the beginning of the semester. And they're not open on weekends. If you work during the week, you're out of luck. They do not deliver like the Fort Wayne bookstore.
Amanda Jo: Everyone is always so friendly and helpful at this bookstore. Visiting gets me excited for school and puts me at ease at the same time
Kellyann Walker: Free books for classes over summer! Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find books for classes plus everything you need for a successful semester.
Thomas Brewer: Great service!!!
Reba Brown: Very nice people a bit ridiculous with some of their rules though
Benjamin Sr: Staff very helpful
Michael Lepper (Lun Stiorra): Test is hard, clerks take thier jobs a lil too serious.
Baby J: Bunch of old ladies are super rude and to quick on answering questions over the phone, but in person great place. Definitely needs work when communicating to students in a polite matter.
Michelle Ortiz: Anne just “helped” me which wasn’t much help AT ALL. She gave me the rudest tone of voice (which I’m a very understanding person), but it was completely unnecessary. Bad image for Ivy tech. I needed a specific course code and she kept selling me a different one and I specifically told her and then after we solved it she kept shaking his head at me as if it my fault. She makes you feel like she’s trying to get you out (was not busy) and doesn’t want to help. Will reach out to head of Ivy Tech.
Lauryn Watkins: Their customer service is alright. I wish they were a little more helpful when i was trying to order my books for spring semester.
Tifiany Koverman: They tried so hard to help me. I was confused before I even went into the store, but they made sure I left with everything I needed.
Mary Guthrie: The customer service has always been good. A 3 star due to online hours not matching true store hours. Fridays they close at 3pm. When you look up hours and arrange you day according to their posted hours and you find out they are closed it us very frustrating.
LaToya Bussell: Love this place
Christopher Wallerstedt: Ok
Stout Dallas: This school truly cares about the success of it's students.
Livarus Brazan-Scott: Love my school
Dorothy Fox: Ivy Tech is a wonderful College! Small classrooms, which makes learning a great experience. Just like most colleges, there are great instructors & some not so great.

Craig Buehler: I love 5his place!
Jonna Owens: Nice and quiet atmosphere.
javan mckinney: Barnes and Noble is a great bookstore. They have a lot of varieties.
Felissa Spaulding: I go there every day to get a London fog from Starbucks
Deborah Schneider: Nice people !
William Blackford: Great atmosphere and also a huge selection of books
Ally Bright: We had a great time shopping around at Barnes and Noble! They had every book my friends and I were looking for. This is probably the biggest Barnes and noble I’ve ever seen! We got help finding the book Dune and there are so many copies! The lady helping explained all the different copies and then I ended up accidentally buying a Spanish copy!! Whoops! Great place and great employees!
Yolanda Norman: It's a book lovers ♥utopia!!
ECE: I love the variety I can from here and how well organized it is. I don't know if it's like this at every Barnes and Noble but the staff here are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The store is always clean and it remains one of my favorite trips to make because I'm always finding something interesting here.
Sarah Marie: Cozy. We come here once or twice a week & love it! I love that there is seating placed around the store, although I do feel there could be a bit more chairs & tables placed throughout the store because sometimes there is no where to sit. But the parking lot - it is a horrible setup & it is ALWAYS filthy!
chris newman: Great atmosphere! Wide variety and friendly service.
Kathy Greulich: Needed an audiobook for a trip. Being a cheap broad, I preferred to get one at a thrift store, but couldn't find one that carried them. (We're not from that town, so couldn't get any from the library.) What a selection! Had a hard time deciding which one to get, so got two! Our only disappointment was the cost -$90 for 2. (But that's probably normal for now. I just never buy new ones and didn't realize they had gotten that expensive.) Certainly enjoyed listening to both of them.
Terrie Ledcke: Love this place. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.
Jackie Parmley: Great store!
Kyra Elizabeth: Great place to read and also great kids section.! Will definitely return.
Sean keegan vogt: There was only one staff member visibly helping anyone and the rd head working was too busy playing with her friends around the Legos to help or acknowledge a customer.
Dawn Tooker: I like the toy section in Barnes & Noble stores. They carry many unique toys you don't find at other places.
Steven Groves: Always good service there. Needed help finding a few book and was help by a friendly and very nice helper.
David Duff: Books, Coffee, Board Games.. Hot diggity dog! This place is magnificent!
Tyler Dixon: This is a pretty nice store. Quiet and relaxing they have a good selection. There are two stories with escalators for access. There is a Starbucks cafe there. There is a good selection of children and educational content. The staff was helpful. No complaints.
Joseph Schmitt: Great place to buy books and relax
