Mario Booth: I had been wanting to go here for awhile. But to my dismay I was extremely disappointed. My poutine was cold and the curds did not have much flavor. Our server seemed to be more focused on other tables than on accommodating us. After we were seated it took 15 minutes just for her to ask us what we wanted to drink. I don't know if it was how I looked or what, but the service was sub-par. I wanted the porkchop but almost $30? That's high for a chop and grits. The host seemed to be new or have no idea what she was doing. Unless something changed I will probably not go back.

Justin Morris: Not very accommodating to wanting things a certain way. For the $$, go somewhere that will make the food the way you like it . For the wait and Money, I'll go elsewhere and have a better whole overall experience.

Literally, the other half of the table was finished eating before they got their food. We demand high end, but we refuse to pay for it. So after we complain about the price, let’s drive to Louisville and spend 200% for a similar steak and rave about it. kelly ireland: Husband and I had a reservation at 7pm this past saturday. We were seated promptly by a friendly host. After 10 minutes and no contact with our server, we said if it got to 20 minutes, we would leave. It wasn't busy. We were in the back room, where a large group was seated and was waited on, while another table of 5 or 6 had a different server. We just sat there wondering if anyone would come. No one did. No waters, nothing. We left and went to Madeline's and had amazing food and service.
Latoya Cheek: It was cold and the waiter too us to the back of the restaurant to sit alone by ourselves which I don’t like at all. Then bought out a burger that was red on the inside and uncooked macaroni nasty food. Never gave us a water bottle straws or napkins when we asked for a manager he had a nasty attitude ok girl 👌🏽 lucky I ignore people now😡 never again
Dabug: Absolutely horrible service from waiter and the manager was NO better. Instead of the manager listening to and accepting my complaint. The manager had the nerve to say he didn’t like how I treated his server. Mind you I had gotten my food eaten my food had to ask another server to get my server to order dessert and still no drink refills. Me saying a little loud excuse me and holding up my glass was mistreating his server. The big question is why wasn’t the manager making the server do his job because I shouldn’t have even had to ask for water. Every other table there had a nice glass bottle for water except for mine.

Scott Carter: Feelings are mixed here. Building is beautiful, drinks and bartender are top-notch, and steaks are great. Wait staff is ok and sides and other entrees okay to downright terrible. Jo Spalding: I picked Smitty's for my 65th birthday dinner with my kids and grandkids. Leala was our waitress and she went out of her way to take care of us. The kitchen was the disappointment. 4 out of 5 steaks were cooked wrong, the pan fried grouper was deep fried instead, the soggy greasy mess was too bad, my chicken versuvio was excellent, service was good. From where I was sitting I could see the cooks in the kitchen, very unorganized and the meals they sent out to us proved they either didn't care or just bad at their jobs. I have heard wonderful praises about this restaurant and will give it another try. Never judge after only one visit. I hope things change soon. I like to support locally owned places.

Andy Sutton: Probably the most frustrating dinning experience I have had. Got my ticket and noticed an extra charge. Mistakes happen and I am ok with that. After the ticket was returned the 2nd time it was actually higher than the first. Still trying to be patient. After 20+ mins they came back and the ticket was back to the original amount. I ended up paying the extra because I couldn’t wait on them to figure out and had no confidence it was going to happen. Really frustrating and disappointing.
