Our home had some pretty bad storm damage & was a very large project, and I can tell you from dealing with several contractors that Matthew was by far our favorite to work with. He was very helpful getting together estimates to turn into our insurance company. From drywall to painting to plumbing they tackled any obstacle. They don't rush to get a job done like so many companies do these days, they treat your house as they would their own and make sure you're happy. Matt Bowers: I was very happy with Hays and Sons. The entire process of cleaning up our water mess was fast and professional. They were professional and were on time. They had 2 men who really stood out to us. Russell and Caleb. They were professional and answered all of our questions. They really had a depth of knowledge in this industry and I even learned a couple things! They took care of our property and treated it well. Farbod Salman: Initially called for water damage and was told they would have someone out in about 3 weeks. 2 weeks later I called to get an update to at least get a day and time. Was told we were in the system and that someone would call us back. No one called so I called them again and I was told they don’t know when and if they can send someone out. They are too busy. Even though I was in the system already they were too busy servicing others. Told me they don’t know when they can come out and to “just call another company.” They don’t care about their potential customers so yes don’t waste your time and just call a different company. I would avoid Hays and Sons and the headache. Take THEIR advice and call someone else. Don’t bother with this unprofessional company. 0/5 if I could.
Michael Ferrell: We used them once and we will NOT usethem every again. We are NOT satisfied with how the new flooring is installed because it was NOT installed exactly like the original flooring. The new flooring is supposed to be installed exactly like the original flooring that was removed since that is what the word restoring means and that was NOT done. To solve this problem I will have to remove the new flooring and reinstall it exactly the way the original flooring was installed since that is the way we wanted it done in the first place. Second choice for us is to hire a contractor to reinstall it exactly the way it was just like the original flooring was installed. Either way WE will get the flooring laid down exactly the same way the original flooring was installed. My mom is the home owner and she is NOT satisfied with how they installed the new flooring and she wants it reinstalled exactly like the original flooring. My mom deserves to be happy and satisfied with the work being done to her home. She is not happy and satisfied with how they installed the new flooring so that means either I will redo the flooring myself or I will need to hire a contractor to fix the problem by reinstalling the flooring exactly like the original flooring.
Dale Hess: My insurance company recommended Hays & Sons and they contacted me immediately. I had a pipe break in my downstairs bathroom which caused extensive damage to my first floor and finished basement. They sent a remediation team within a day and they really did a great job. Their project manager Tom Dunlap coordinated all repairs. He did an outstanding and professional job setting up our repair schedule and getting the job done in a timely manor. The contractor who he brought in to do the work was an amazing hard worker who did a fantastic job making sure we were satisfied with his work. Michael: Edit*Nathan and I did speak about this issue and part of the issue was no breakdown of services rendered was sent, just a simple invoice. After the detailed invoice was sent, the services were more laid out, though still high in my opinion. Will add another star to the review because the guys in the field and project manager do seem to be genuine and want to do things right by the customer.$4000 for them to run 2 dehumidifiers for 6 weeks. It was 6 weeks because they had to keep swapping out the dehumidifiers because they wouldn't work. On the second swap the dehumidifiers leaked, damaging the wood floors. The solution for this, Old English floor stain to hide the new water mark. Nothing to address the cupping of the boards and we had to hire a different company to come in and repair the floors. Why not put a pan under the dehumidifiers to catch anything if there is a leak? The techs that came out were nice guys and professional, but not impressed with the solutions or the cost.Service:Water damage-related cleanup repair

SIX months ago Sounder’s repaired my ottomans and they STILL ARE SOLID. The owner came to my house himself and is a very nice guy. Jessica Malloy-Thorpe: Kevin and his team were very responsive and helpful. I emailed a request for an estimate to a table leaf and dining chair, and I included pictures. Kevin got back to me right away with an estimate based on the photos. He asked me to bring the damaged furniture in to his shop, where he was able to better estimate the cost of the repair. They were able to repair both items within just a few days! I dropped them off on Monday morning and picked them up on Wednesday afternoon. Their work was great and their price was reasonable. I would recommend Souders to anyone in the Fort Wayne area who is looking for someone to repair damaged furniture.

Dan Berger: I highly recommend Kelly's Furniture Services. I had them repair a piano that belongs to my daughter in-law and Son who is a Pastor. After I explained to them how I was hoping that it could be done in time so that I could take it to them in Montana, he worked extra hard and made the repairs (which ended up being more extensive than it originally appeared) and got it done sooner than I expected. And even though he had more time into it than was originally expected, he charged me what he told me upfront, not a dime more. Now there will be beautiful music played on it at their Church!

He was thorough in checking for moisture each day and wise in making decisions about the next right step. He was polite and answered all my questions. His helper Jace was also polite and respectful and wore booties each time he entered the house. Typically we like to do things on our own to save money. We are so glad we didn’t tackle this by ourselves. The equipment Paul Davis has to detect moisture is state of the art. And they have tools I’ve never seen to help dry walls and floors. Some of the employees were great but the ones they had take care of our house were even actual contractors they were just hired under the table. Our floor is messed up, they didn’t insulate our walls, they didn’t put the correct doors on our rooms, they use the wrong paint so we can still smell the fire smell, we didn’t get a lot of things returned to us because of “smoke damage 🤨” and I can keep going. Francis Jones: When we discovered our basement sewage pump had failed, we promptly called our plumber and Paul Davis. Both crews were onsite within a couple of hours. The Paul Davis crew removed as much water as possible from the carpet and then removed the damp carpet, followed by placing dehumidifiers and a large HEPA air filter in the room. Paul Davis arranged for new carpet for us, which was installed a week or two later. Finally, Paul Davis employee Thad cleaned the basement stairs and the traffic pattern on the main floor. All the work was done in a timely manner and to our satisfaction.
