Elissa Wittwer: My daughter Meg showed a talent for drawing at a very young age. I set out to find a place where she could get professional level classes, not just craft classes, but classes that taught foundation principles, perspective, shading, form, etc. I was hoping to find college-level instruction geared toward younger students. I was fortunate to find Pancner’s Art School. After meeting Ales and learning about the classes I knew I had found a place for Meg to learn techniques that would enhance her abilities and give her a chance to explore her creativity.Meg started classes with Ales Pancner in third grade and continued through high school. Pancner’s Art School provided an environment that allowed her talent to grow, inspired her to learn, gave her confidence, and so much more. The limited class size provided plenty of student-to-teacher time. Every Thursday evening Meg was eager to get to class and learn something new or practice a skill she wanted to master. Each Thursday evening I eagerly anticipated seeing what she created! Ales and Renata are extremely talented artists and teachers. They are patient, kind, and encouraging when working with their students.Meg decided to pursue a career in art. She earned a very substantial scholarship to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) based on that portfolio. She created a weekly online drawing tutorial that garnered over 30,000 followers during the year she spent creating it. An art professor in Denmark saw the tutorials she created and invited her to teach a week of classes on perspective to his students. For the last two years she has been working as a background artist for a well-known animation studio. Justin Dane Spady: My siblings and I took weekly classes from Mr. Pancner throughout our middle school/high school years. I loved every minute of it. Mr. Ales patiently and expertly taught me from the basics (like how to draw and shade a sphere) to me becoming proficient at almost every medium (the only one I never really mastered was oil, which is a shame because it’s his favorite medium). The most valuable skill he taught me was the artist’s eye, to look for details you’d normally be blind to, and to see beyond the reality to make the story you are painting your own. Both Ales and Renata are precious, gentle souls that I still highly admire now as an adult. Highly recommend; thank you, Mr. Ales!

It is an intimate creative studio in which you can not only learn about the medium and project you're working on, but at the same time absorb information about the other type projects and mediums being worked on by others. Jason Deathe: Great place to go if you want to paint a picture in a group setting. The instructor, Holly, is great at showing the group how to paint a beautiful picture. It doesn't matter if you don't know how to paint. She makes it easy. You will leave with a neat picture you can be proud to hang on your wall. Another plus for those 21 and older, you can have a beer or wine or wine slushie while you paint.

Riley Carter: First let me start with the positives. The staff was super friendly and the drinks were good. It was a great time for my wife, I however was miserable.First off, we did a couple paint session. They had a completed canvas of one of the paintings and an empty canvas the instructor was working off of. The instructor was about to start painting the same exact painting as the completed. It was only until I mentioned the other painting did she switch it up. I think they would have completely skipped over it had I not mentioned it.The entire time I felt like I was just supposed to make stuff up as I went. The instructions were all over the place and it seemed like there was a lot of confusion in the room. I don't know how many times I heard the instructor say "if your not done with that step no problem take your time" then move on to the next step while everyone is trying to figure out the last step and not make their painting look crazy, they are 2 steps ahead.I realize they don't want everyone to be there until the early hours of the morning, but you got to let people figure out what your doing. You have painted that picture 100 times, they have painted it once.In summary, if you're somewhat artistically inclined, you will have a blast. If not, you better pre game and drink while you're there, because otherwise you will leave frustrated with a weird looking "art" piece.My recommendation to Painting with a twist. If you have a couple session, have 2 blank canvases. 1 for one piece and 1 for the other. Then step by step it for each individual painting. This allows good instruction for both pieces and while you're working on one, that gives the other's time to actual paint what's meant to be painted instead of guess.

As two people with zero artistic ability, the instructor made it so that we could follow along and end up with something that actually resembled the characters we were painting.
