Corey Towe: AVOID! Charged $266 to replace a $20 gas feeder line coming from the engine. Which is easy to get to. Right in front of you when you open the hood. They decided it was ok to charge $130 for the rubber feed line. ($20 part) Then charge $120 for labor. (15 minute job) Charged me for an hour @ $120. Yes, you read that right. $120 an hour for labor! Acted like he was doing me a favor for not charging a diagnostic fee which was not done since i showed him exactly what the problem was. Ridiculous!

Brian Ross: I've used A-1 Automotive in the past (20+ years ago) and they've always done me right!!! I just recently took my 98 Mustang GT in for a drivability issues and a CEL. They diagnosed it the same day and took care of a few other issues that were unknown at the time. I even had them do a full tune-up the next morning as they wanted to keep the car over night to verify the issue was fixed. They had everything completed and repaired just as I had hoped and had the pricing of the repairs down to a minimum that was affordable. As to mention....Justin went above and beyond and removed the trailer hitch off the car for FREE!!! They also picked me up in a timely manner to get my vehicle back. I'm very happy and pleased with A-1 and know that you will be too. Don't hesitate to call and get your vehicle repaired at one of the BEST shops in town....just can't beat the service and quality of work they perform. I was charged $80.00 just for them to tell me what was wrong. Diagnostics elsewhere are not nearly as costly. I went to this place because I was newer in town and now sincerely regret it. Robert Wantz: In the process of removing my rear license plate on my Lexus I broke one of the two rusty screws holding the plate on. I then decided I needed help removing the remaining portion of the broken screw and thought of Meineke since it was nearby to my residence. I took it in, a technician looked at it, and we made an appointment. At the predetermined appointment time the service writer wrote the ticket up she said she was writing it up for an hour but if it was less I would be charged less. Occasionally I looked outside, where the mechanic was working on my car in the parking lot, and didn’t see much progress being made although I was a good seventy feet away. It started to rain but he was out there a bit and after a while he moved it inside to a bay that had been empty a while. (All along there were some bays that were empty from the time I arrived until I left). At that time I was within fifteen feet of him and could observe him closer. It appeared he removed the screw in about fifteen minutes. The remainder of his time there he disappeared where I couldn’t see him or he was trying to find a proper screw from the bunch he brought back. Eventually, when he was about completed, I noticed he had installed my license plate frame was BEHIND the plate. I informed him of this and he corrected it.Less than an hour after the job was started the service writer told me it was finished and I mentioned I should get the veterans discount (the license plate actually is a Navy Veteran plate). She then told me that’s only for parts and doesn’t apply in this case. I was then given the invoice and it was $163.84. $163.84 !!! I asked what their hourly costing rate and was told that was it.Incidentally, on the back of the single page receipt I was given is printed very lightly and illegibly printed statement of warranty (?) of some sort with printed framework around the border.I am EXTREMELY disappointed and will never return to Meineke and be sure to inform fiends.Service:General repairs maintenance

He put new lugnuts on and tightened them all. Said it was a good thing I stopped in!
