Douglas Weddle: Very clean and was surprised that a pavilion was there great tribute to Franklin school and the reserves.

L Miles: I've lived in Fort Wayne all my life and I had no idea this place existed until last night when my daughter hosted her Baby Shower there. The building was just the right size, air conditioned, very clean, full kitchen, plenty of space outside to entertain and it's in a pretty safe area. If you're looking for a venue to host an event, definitely put this place on your list.
Nicholas Daniel: Great little splash pad here, but I wish there was just a couple more things to do here. Hamilton Park is close and maybe that’s why there isn’t anything more.

I was so pleased they saved something from the old school too.I went to a wedding shower there today. The David Heffner pavilion is a fantastic venue. Nicely done!!
Kassidy Thompson-Wiedenhoeft: I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here and it was beautiful! Definitely a hidden gem in Fort Wayne! It was spacious enough for the couple to hold their reception. Very clean, bright, and reminded me of an industrial wedding venue. Cannot recommend enough, and I hope to come back soon!

Paul Nieto: It's a very nice city park. There is a play area for children. The park is well-known for its flower gardens. It is also a good place for weddings. There's a very nice pond with a fountain anar paved footpaths that you can walk.

Lovely Soul: One of the BEST locations in the entire city! During the spring and summer I love frequenting this park because it is not only beautiful, but it has so much life. Many people are at the park constantly and it gives me Central Park feels, without the food carts!

The riverbank and park strip tracts were transferred to the city in 1930. In 1929 the Board built a footbridge between Foster Park and land to be known as Indian Village Park.
The site was once the home of the Allen County Orphan’s Home and one of the brick buildings may be associated with that endeavor.
Sears Roebuck and Company offered to build the pavilion that is located in Indian Village Park for the city in the early 1940's with the understanding that the city would assume control and maintenance of the building after construction. Today that pavilion is known as Sears Pavilion. For a period of time, part of the pavilion was rented as an apartment.
The natural space at Indian Village Park provides plenty of opportunity for you to enjoy your favorite summer activities, whether it's playing frisbee or flying a kite.
Several picnic tables are scattered throughout the park under shaded areas for you to enjoy.
The playground at Indian Village Park includes a swing set, a rock climbing area and 3 slides that are fun for any child.
Indian Village Park is just one stop on the 24-mile Rivergreenway trail. Enjoy a brisk bike ride, walk or jog on the Rivergreenway and stop by the park. Then when you are ready, continue your journey by accessing the bridge to cross into adjoining Foster Park.

Alisha Mustafa: This is such a charming park in Fort Wayne. It has an amazing playground and a running/biking trail that meanders all the way around the park and next to the river. There are several tennis courts and a lovely golf course. It's a great spot to take kids after school. However, be wary of letting your children near the water. It's very polluted.
