Daytone: First time coming here. The staff were very sweet and welcoming. I'm not one to normally like onions, but the Hungryman's Omelette was delicious. Bigger than I expected it to be, but not disappointed with the portion size. 😁 Enjoyed a nice cup of tea with honey, which was also a first (adding the honey). And the Rye bread was delicious. Definitely recommend apple butter with it if you've never tried it!!! (I think Rye bread is underrated.) Overall, a nice experience.

If you can, this place is one of the top ten I've eaten at and I eat at many places like this.

Amber Toombs: I made reservations for a surprise birthday party in a private room at Baker Street Steakhouse. Through an unfortunate series of mistakes and miscommunications my reservation was cancelled.I was contacted by the owner of Baker Street Steakhouse, James who personally took time to speak with me. Not only did he speak with me, he heard me. I was not rushed and I feel he genuinely cared.I was treated as a person and not just another lost sales opportunity. He went above and beyond to fix all of the wrongs and then some. James arranged for my mothers party to be held at another one of his restaurants, Proximo. He personalized the menu which even said Happy Birthday Karen, he even gave complimentary chocolates and gift cards, and treated the entire party like his own family. Everyone left the restaurant with an amazing experience.The service was phenomenal. No one's glass was ever less than half full, the food was superb, quick, and friendly service was experienced all night.From this experience I have learned that when Baker Street says they want you to be treated like family, they truly mean it! This has opened my eyes and gives me hope that there are still decent people among us. A business that cares.In a world where customer service is failing Baker Street is rising to the top and proving themselves a top performer.The way Baker Street responded to this mistake was absolutely amazing and I can not say enough good things at this point. James and his staff created a fairy tale situation for my mother and I am forever grateful! The party was better than anything I could do and the attention to detail was unmatched.Thank you Baker Street and Proximo we'll see ya'll soon!

Karen Burnside: Have you ever been treated like Cinderella? Me neither until 2/18/2023. I had a surprise birthday party at Proximo Restaurant which is owned by Baker Street. I was told there had been a mix up with reservations prior to the dinner but owner James made everything 200% right.Never in my 70 years have I ever seen the generosity and care that the owner shown me. I wish I were a writer so I could put into words how I feel. I am so blessed to have a loving family, friends, and James who made my fairy tale come true.

I ordered a Garbage Plate with 2 eggs over easy, add chorizo and rye toast. Instead, they sent the Garbage Omelet with chorizo. On the box, they wrote, "We're out of rye. Sorry." I have no problem with that but they sent rasin toast. I don't personally like sweets for breakfast. It would have made more sense to send wheat or white toast. As for the Garbage Plate I ordered, I guess an omelet technically has eggs but when you're expecting over easy, it's disappointing. Overall, the food tasted good, as always, but it wasn't what I ordered.

The experience was perfect from beginning to end, but the real MVP was the server Shannon. While I was just there for an ordinary meal, he made it extraordinary, just with his presence and politeness. He was kind and inquisitive, and talked about the new baby and raising boys. He had a kind of social acumen that was tailored perfectly for our conversation. I wish him well, and we’ll definitely be back.

However, after 10 minutes no one had moved to the table that we were previously sitting in, and so I asked if we could move back since we wanted to sit in the sunny front room. The barista somewhat snottily said, "I guess that's fine."I don't know, I guess just be aware that if you have the audacity to order coffee from a coffee shop to be ready to be treated like a second-class customer.

Molly Rao: Another great experience. This is my favorite place to go to with someone who has never been. Everything I've ever had from here has been yummy. The staff is always friendly and attentive. We were there from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. As soon as one table would leave, there was someone else walking in looking for a table, which is very rare for most restaurants at that time of day in the middle of the week. From what I observed, every table seemed well taken care of. They have all different in house made desserts displayed in the case at the counter which is what had me drooling over them long before I had ever been here. Not to mention, the homemade ice cream or my favorite beverage they serve which is blueberry lavender lemonade.

From the music to the decorum, the selections of beverages, food, and authentic hospitality, even the music was very fitting for the experience. Upon entry a kindly gentleman greeted us and mentioned they had full table-side service so we were welcome to select a beautiful window-side table. Nora made us feel comfortable and welcome and provided excellent recommendations. I highly encourage you to visit this establishment for a warm experience!
