    Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana is the only association that dedicates 100 percent of its work and revenues to the commercial construction industry of northeast Indiana. Our members are general and specialty contractors, both merit shop and organized, architects and engineers, material suppliers, and professional service providers, all working together to address issues of concern common to all under the umbrella of BCA.

    Southwest Senior Community Apartments: what do users think?
    Travis Sliger: I do not recommend moving a loved one into this place. The communication is AWFUL. My mother went days in the summer with non working AC during sweltering heat, they still haven’t fixed the MOLD COMING OUT OF HER WATER FAUCETS, and she now cannot get a response from management about fixing her furnace during near freezing temps.

    Pam Byers: Very bad place for true seniors. They do not replace lightbulbs in ceiling fixtures or batteries in the smoke alarms. True seniors should not be climbing on ladders to change out lighbulbs and batteries.
    Jason Voorhies: Beware of this apartment complex. My mother and father in law recently moved out after 5 years. They moved out over a week. During the middle of the move, management changed the locks. Management then did a walk through without my mother in law and accused them of excessive damage. I helped with the move and witnessed the conditions of the apartment. There was certainly some wear and tear but definitely not the $3200 + $800 damage deposit that the manager alleges. Manager says she took pictures, but this was done in private without my in laws. They then had the flooring torn up before the lease was up and before accusing my mother in law of the damages. They gave her no chance to come see the allegations in person. The manager is trying to intimidate and extort nearly $4000 from them. I would never recommend renting from this company unless they make some big changes to there management team.
    Michael Stevens: We live in the Garden Villas section of this Southwest Community and could not be happier with our location and apartment. It is close to shopping, restaurants, our Church and yet it is just off the beaten path to give us a feeling of security, we even have wildlife roaming by occasionally. We moved from southern Michigan to be closer to our son and grandkids who live locally; and have never once regretted making the move to this location. We love our place and the neighbors we've met. We have been here for two years now and we hope to stay for as long as our health allows us to live independently. Their Community Center plays host to card games several days weekly; many of us go out monthly for breakfast and dinner; another group offers Bible Study if your interested. It is a beautiful and safe location for walking within the complex and is very close to the trails system the city maintains. I don't think anyone can go wrong selecting an apartment in this complex.
