karli b: If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in to get a new phone, the young man states they have a promotion of $800 off your new iPhone, any condition as long as it turns on and off. Today I walk in to drop the phone off and the lady points out every flaw she can find on the phone and tells me my trade in value won’t be much. She also wrote down the wrong GB for my trade in but not noticed until I got home. Very unprofessional and need to be clear with what you’re selling. Don’t recommend this location, scammed.
Josh Quintana: I had a problem with two of our family’s iPads, and I was pleasantly surprised when the representative, who is named Seth, was able to solve my issue and get both iPads up and running in less than 10 minutes. On top of this, he apologized for the iPads, not working, solved the issue and there was no charge for the service. overall great experience thank you Seth for providing a great experience.

I think corporate would be real happy about this LOL

I ordered phones online and there was a huge problem with that. Reluctantly then I was forced to go into the store to sign up for service. I was there for 4 HOURS. FOUR. HOURS. I. SAT. and waited for phone. Then TYPICALLY a PROFESSIONAL asks all the plan details. I was not asked which plan option I wanted at all. I literally TOLD them I did not want the insurance nor any additional add-ons and all that was STILL added to my bill. Then come to find out that particular woman I worked with had LITERALLY. PUT SOMEONE ON MY PLANS NAME AS "AHOLE" so that when he called anyone thats what came up on thier caller i.d. How anyone in the customer service industry could be SO..ENTIRELY. UNPROFESSIONAL. is just beyond me. FURTHERMORE..then my phone had a problem transferring numbers from our old t-mobile accounts and my mother didn't have service on her phone for 2 days and I couldn't even call her to know that it was a problem and spent at least a total of 4 hours on the phone with customer service the following days trying to get this issue resolved. The transition was absolutely horrible and i HIGHLY reccomend that if you are switching to at&t to not go to this store in particular.

The manager was very patient and friendly as well as a Attentive She listened everything I had to say and then based on what I had to say She decided I needed a new SIM card So within minutes my phone was back working again I was able to make calls and left without being charged anything This was my 1st experience at this location and overall it was a good experience much better experience than I had at the corporate store on Jefferson road They could really learn a thing or 2 from her over there. For now on any problems I have or any upgrades I have Will only be done at this store

Learn from my mistake, make Cell Phone City your first call. Plus he is local, not an out of town Corp. If I need any repairs in the future, I will be back.

Took phone to a+ computers for a 2nd opinion. This guy destroyed the complete inside.Now I have to sue to have this guy replace the phone he damaged.

A. M.: Best place for phone repairs in Fort Wayne hands down!!! Had an iPhone 11 screen replaced at the end of May by another place in Fort Wayne. It never fully sat right at the bottom and broke in multiple places from a very minor drop while in a protective case 3 months later. Went in to the original business to see about getting it replaced again. Was quoted $170 and at LEAST 24 hours for repair. That just wasn’t acceptable. Found Cell Phone City from a Google search and walked in on a Friday afternoon a little after 1pm. Had a fully repaired phone by 3pm at a better price. This screen feels much more durable than the last one and is properly seated. The customer service was phenomenal and, while I pray we don’t have any more broken screens, if we do, we will definitely be going back to Cell Phone City!!!

Dana & Kim Plattner: We had a screen on the blink on an iPhoneXS and went to this place because of the high google review. When I found out it was cash only my concerns went up. We got the new screen for about $170 which seemed high but, hey, we needed it fixed. Shortly after getting it home, the screen starting blacking out at random times. We took it back and were met with resistance and disrespect. We were told this was a different problem and he wasn’t responsible for it. He tried manipulating us and frankly made my wife feel awful. I’m not sure how many of the 5 star ratings are real, but I would never recommend this place. I’m sure the owner is going to reply to this message and say please bring it back in and they will make it right, but don’t believe him. It’s in all the bad reviews.Update 1/7/2022 - the new screen eventually became completely useless and we took it to another competitor called CPR Cell Phone Repair and they replaced the screen again (for about the exact same price) and discovered that the replacement screen was an inferior product. Not only does Cell Phone City have terrible customer service, but they also use inferior products. Don’t let the 4.7 stars fool you! Take your cell phone somewhere else!

I dropped my phone off and they called ahead of the scheduled time for pickup. They did a wonderful job and were very reasonably priced compared to other places I called!

Debbie F: Staff should definitely confirm your repair need "diagnosis" with you when they take your phone. Apparently when the T-Mobile guy filled out my repair ticket, he filed "cracked screen" for me, which was incorrect. So I waited 2 hours to have my NOT broken screen replaced, then had to wait another 1 hour to have the new screen removed & the old one put back on so we could file/change the claim to get the SIM card reader repaired. I literally spoke to the woman who checked me in for ~2 minutes about my SIM card NOT being read. When she reported my repair complete, she said she never heard me say anything about the SIM card reader. 🤬🤬 Maybe they could confirm your problem/ need for repair when they check you in, so no one else had to spend 5 hours NOT getting their repair done.

Seth Zimmerman: A paragon of cellular customer service.Like many others, I have had terrible luck with phones and even worse luck with cellular providers. The prospect of being forced to cancel my service and buying a new phone was daunting, at first. Thankfully, an AT&T representative was hand picked by god to assist me.Unfortunately my phone was stolen and that began the process of shutting off my service. I came back in person four out of five days, constantly getting bad information from the 611 line. They helped me suspend my service, make me an authorized user, reactivate my service, and purchase a new phone while simultaneously correcting the mistakes of the helpline.I was a basket case and they helped me gather my proverbial eggs and tie a nice little bow on it. It was truly one of the greatest customer service experiences I have ever had and if I ever need anything regarding my phone or service I will be calling them personally.Ask for Noah. Enter bliss.

Nathaniel Grizzle: Went to att to look into adding an iPad to my plan. First day a representative, came up I wanted to see the iPad 12.9 2022. The representative was very transparent and said they did not provide any demo versions of the 12.9 or new Apple Watch and advise to head to Best Buy. I decided to add it to my plan a few days later. I got there and a new rep helped me and due to technical difficulties the new representative was also upfront and transparent with me regarding the technical issues. After a few hours, going back and forth he was very sympathetic and transparent. I can say that all the reps I spoke with were respectful and helpful. I recommend if you got questions or concern. I’d gladly go back to this store.

Dave Collins: Great local resource! WAY better than dealing with the phone company stores or "Bob" in Bangladesh! Dennis really helped me out! I was getting nowhere trying to migrate from Xfinity wireless to an annual prepaid ATT account on my old iPhone 7+. Dennis explained the best options for me, as well as the pitfalls of annual prepaid plans. He dealt with all the overseas twists and turns of canceling my ATT transfer, then set me up with a monthly Verizon plan. Now I'm dealing with a helpful local business if my needs change! Highly recommended.
John McFann: These folks are the best. I first went to them 10 years ago (or so) to escape Verizon's high rates. They saved me a lot of money at the time. Today I visited them to switch to a provider that would supply voice and text at a reasonable cost and allow me to purchase data as needed over the minuscule monthly amount I currently had. The carrier was picked, but it took a while for the previous carrier to release the line. They sent me home with the instructions to put the new SIM card in when my phone quit working. It finally did and I switched...but the phone showed "no service. Locked SIM card". The were closed at the time but I emailed them and they responded right away. I gave them them my land line number, they called me right back and spent about a half hour with me resolving the problem. If you want customer service, Apex Wireless is the place to go.

Nala 812: DO NOT GO HERE. GO ELSEWHERE.They lie and try to gaslight you. I wouldnt trust them to take care of a fake plant.I took my ipad there because the screen went out over night. They didnt have the the part, said it would be fixed in 5 days for $180 which was fine. I pick it up, the screen is fixed, battery is at 4 percent. I get home, the screen keeps flickering on and off. I tried to charge it, for over an hour and it never charge. I called and ask to bring it back. I was then told that it could be the battery or the port and it would be 150-300 to fix one or both. Something didnt seem right so I asked if they could just refund me for the part that they had put in because it was $80 and i would just accept the $100 service. And just go buy a new ipad, because i barely had the 180, much less another 300, for it to maybe work.I ended up picking it up abd taking it to another store. Where they told me that Genius bent the enclosure from fixing it. And thats why it wasnts working, and there really wasnt any way to fix it.I called Genius to see what they could do about it. I told them what the other shop said.Troy said that they must have bent it, and told me it was Genius because it wasnt bent when they had it. He know who i am, and whos ipad it was and hes the ones who worked on it, and gave it to me and it wasnt bent at all. When i told Troy that i had video, and was watching them the entire time(the other shop). Troy changed his entire tune, and said give me a second to look up your report. It then changed to , oh yes it says right here it was bent. When i asked for an email of the report. He said he couldnt do that.Just save your self the hassle and dont go to them.

Darren Crow: DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Replacement parts are NOT GENIUNE PARTS so they keep alerting you that the replacement part is unknown. THEY DO NOT REPLACE WATER SEALS, YOUR PHONE WILL NO LONGER BE WATERPROOF!!! If anything breaks during the repair it will be claimed as a pre-existing condition. In my case Face ID doesn't work after the repair. I lost over $200 on an iPhone screen repair because now I can't even sell or trade in my phone in good conscience. I've gone back 4-5 times with same issue and I have not once been offered any compensation, refund, or anything for breaking Face ID on my device. They charge within $15 of the price of official Apple repair at Best Buy. They will also NOT tell you any of these things before taking your device for repair. You will be screwed with no recourse if you choose to have your device repaired here. STAY AWAY!UPDATE 10/11/2022 (2 Months later): Response below says to email or call the number. No response received (after emailing/calling) from this company or any effort to remedy this issue other than posting the response below in an attempt to save face in their reviews.
luke hurst: Went in to get the screen replaced because I had cracked the side that morning and when I got the phone back the new screen came back not even on all the way and the end half of the screen completely open. We made the mistake of going back again to get it fixed and the person said “oh the frame was bent so we couldn’t get it on there” which the frame was most definitely not bent before we took It there then after like 10 minutes he comes back with the phone fixed so clearly the frame was not bent if he fixed it. But now my phone has dead screen marks all along the bottom where it was not put in correctly the first time. Very bad experience with this location and will not be coming back anytime soon.
Susan Rice: This company is the best!!!! Another place wanted to replace my iPhone battery by keeping my phone for 24 hours, and telling me to get there when they open to get in line. CPR did the job in 30 minutes while I waited for the same price! I used them 4 years ago to replace a speaker in my phone. Same service — fast, professional, reasonable! I’ll be back!
