Historic Old Fort: what do users think?
Stephanie Neujahr: This was our second time at the Ft. I was thrilled they were actually having a reenactment. The kids were able to see period dress uniforms and the inside of some of the rooms. Take the opportunity to stop and check out the history of old Ft. Wayne
James Lundgren: Volunteer run historical site. Interesting place to visit and learn about different time periods.Restrooms: Open for special events
Cynthia Keller: I love going to the old Fort and walking around. The weekends they are open, LOVE the BAKED GOODIES....YUM
John Davis: Had a great time
Dustin Hart: This place was real and the wood was real. The was no person there to take pay for a tour.
Ericka Williams-glenney: Parking? Construction? No signs to let you know where to go? YES they had all that!
Jeff Jenkins: Their reenactments are worth going to, the feel of the cannons going off is unreal, great family day...
Mike Moore: The volunteers make this place wonderful.
D: Disappointing. I was there for Fright Night lantern tour 2022. Not many lanterns. Walked thru the buildings in the dark so we couldn't see much. This is a very small fort. Not much information provided, very little historical description & stories compared to similar places I've been to. It is a re-creation...but you can clearly see modern materials in the building, like 'tough stuff' foam in the walls.
Piero Pighetti: Nice Place to visit, great for children and adults, many characters and crafts to be able to see. the house are very well kept
John “Wally”: So we decided to check out the fort. I found it to be fascinating. The people were dressed historically and did a great job of giving insightful looks into the life and times of living at the fort. I was especially surprised to learn how many guys share a bunk.... Wow.
Jonathan Fiet: Great staff (go Bob!). Great historical events.
Nancy Eckerman: Always a great place
Edwin Ramirez: Wil come back
Janice Kopriva: Would like to see information at the buildings to tell about the history.
Katie Hicks: I love history and would love others to be able to experience this for what it is but it seems there isn't much emphasis on making it a major Fort Wayne attraction despite the irony of that. If they want to attract more visitors to the fort, they really should make it more interactive for guests. The majority of the structures are blocked off so I can't see many people coming here if they know what to expect ahead of time. Seems poorly managed.
Re Naissance: It was beautiful and the woman who worked there was kind and informative
Christine Spangler: More could be done to interest visitors. Most of the buildings are roped off. You can peek in the doors. Crossing the street to visit is scary. A very busy road with few breaks to make it across. Someone was there to answer questions. Just not much to display
Elizabeth Welty: A great stop with the family! Friendly, time-period volunteers were there talking about things and everyone enjoyed the history and experience! 👍
Daniel Guntermann: I remember when this fort was really hopping in the 70's. People really had pride in our historic heritage at the time. Great to see it still going after all these years.
Jonathan Jackson: Absolutely no charge to visit this 1816 reconstruction of the 5th fort on this site, starting with Gen. Anthony Wayne's HQ during the Ohio Indian wars of the 1790's.

Old Fort Park: what do users think?
Scott Lasley: Love the history!
Jason Gibson: Come step back in time
Trevor Whited: Small but an important piece of history.
Ryan Wass: This is a really cool place to go to learn about history way back in the day, great place to take your kids to teach them about the history of Ft. Wayne! I took Owen and he was amazed people use to live there and that it was a real Fort at one time! He really enjoyed himself! If you haven’t taken your kids, you should!!
scott Adams: Old fort park is ok.It's more of a historical place-marker, sine, and stone water well; that symbolizes the struggles of an expansionist invasion into other nation's territory. Without a water well inside the walls of the original old fort it would have been burned to the ground with the same tactics used by general Anthony Wayne; who notoriously burned native Americans alive in there home's earning him the title "mad" Anthony Wayne.Hopefully we never forget how the genocidal war failed to be stopped because the placement of a well inside a fort.
Traveler: Good example what life at the ‘then’ frontier was like
everyley strongs: Fun times
daysha carr - fey: Great place to visit when coming to Fort Wayne
ash46808: It's a historical site, when they do the reenactments you can buy goods from people and watch the enactments
Day Driver: Shout out from Wayne (Passaic County) NJacross Wayne PA to Fort Wayne IN

There are several tennis courts and a lovely golf course. It's a great spot to take kids after school. However, be wary of letting your children near the water. It's very polluted.
