A+ Computers: what do users think?
Vana m: Very helpful would recommend
Elissa Hunter: Wish I would've fixed my old before buying new. Great price to get my old laptop like new again.
Rohan Tuhan: I gave them my laptop over a week for them to just say it was a dead motherboard and the laptop was un-fixable and I had to go through lenovo. I had an idea that the drivers were wrong and it took 3 idiots (my friends) in a discord call to find out by forcing it to switch to integrated drivers, the graphics drivers were not there. After updating it the internal display still doesn't work, but its better than nothing. Maybe they just didn't want to fix it or didn't have enough time to properly try and see what was wrong with it. But either way, I was very unhappy with their service and would not recommend them to anyone. One of my friends recommended these guys so I am unsure what happened with my device, but either way I will not be recommending them. UPDATE: After confronting the manager and proving to him that the laptop indeed just needed graphics drivers, he refunded me the small diagnosis fee. However, my stance stays the same.
Alex Vorderman: Easy, nice experience. My wife took her computer in and had it back within a week.
James Bercot: Brad was extremely helpful while diagnosing and then replacing a printer. He even applied the diagnostic cost towards the price of the new printer.
Dave Cox: They didn't hesitate to inform me on best route and what to buy for a pc. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Mary Herendeen: Bottom line review:A+ is a professional business and they do great work for a reasonable price.Extended version:I am always nervous about trusting people to be honest when I'm at an intellectual disadvantage, but I gave A+ computers a chance bc I really had no personal options. I can get rid of an occasional virus and debug things, but when it's stuck on a screen and won't even boot up.... Yeah. Way over my head. This is relevant. Lol. The guy who greets the customers and handles the paperwork took ONE LOOK at the laptop and told me that, for one, it's the battery. I looked at it, and for the first time, noticed the bulging mound where the battery is. It was so noticeable (now)! And this isn't even the repair guy! Anyhoo.... It took about 5 business days to get it back. The price was very reasonable and the computer was in tip top shape. Give them a chance! They don't do any work until it's approved. They only charge a $30 fee to examine the device, and that is applied towards the repair, should you choose to have them do it. Otherwise, it's nonrefundable (which is fair).I wanted to put up a review for others like me, who have been burned before by dishonest repair people (Tuffy Auto on Dupont - don't ever take your car there unless you want fake, expensive "repairs" done on it).
Robert Suraci: Would pick this place over the geek squad any day of the week. They did something the geek squad couldn't figure out while I waited.
Chase Pinkerton: Brought my desktop pc in, wouldn’t turn on. I had just got it two months ago brand new. Took it in thinking it was my power supply. Took them 2 minutes to figure out it was most likely the motherboard or cpu instead. Saving me the hassle of replacing the power supply just to figure out that wasn’t the issue. Very friendly.
Eric Mory: Always reliable and stand behind the equipment they sell.
Gayle Fick: Brad took my old MacBookpro and did exactly what I need 💜😊💜
kyle sylvester: Great local computer store
delbert jonson: Nice people to work with. Honest and straight-forward. Quite helpful in choosing a computer. Reasonable prices.
Qwerty Uiop: Helped me figure out parts for my pc! Very helpful company
Anita Carney: Dropped off last week. Just waiting on a call on diagnosis and or if repaired.
Lauren Bloom: I had such a great experience! I brought my laptop in with a broken screen. They immediately ordered a new one and installed it. I just picked it up and it looks brand new again. Sabrina called me several times to keep me updated on the turnaround times and ordering the correct parts. Highly recommend if you have any computer need!
Douglas Bishop: Very helpful! I have purchased many computer parts and repairs from them over the years. Recommended!
Trinity Cuellar: Do not recommend going here. Potential customers and A Plus Computers, I implore you to read:I had a Retina mid 2012 15 inch MacBook Pro that I had gotten for free because the battery and logic board were not working. I go here to repair the laptop, the cost was reasonable I gave it to them and with ordering the parts and repair, it would be a month to a month and a half.6 months goes by and I have received no word. I called asking about the laptop throughout these months, every time they said they were working on it, vague answers every time. Finally I go in to ask about it, they told me it had been put on a shelf awaiting repair and was essentially forgotten about. Finally it’s fixed.I take it home, excited to use it, and the battery is defective! The laptop would not stay powered on unless it was plugged into the charger. So I take it it back. They tell me it’s under warranty but I still have to pay for labor to have the battery replaced! So I get it back after another 2 months, because the battery they ordered had to come all the way from China. It’s working fine for a while, then after about 8 months the laptop just dies. It gets stuck in a bootloop. I finally just decide to open the laptop up and see what’s going on.To my surprise, two screws were missing on the fan (when you shook the laptop you could hear the fan jiggle). I’m done with it at this point, I sell it for chump change on eBay.The story is not over yet. The guy I sold it too was a bit of a Mac expert and identified the problem quickly. He let me know what the issue was:2 logic board screws were laying loosely in the laptop. One screw was laying by the left speaker, not harming anything. The second was sticking straight up and was jammed next to the heat shield. It was shorting a resistor next to the heat shield. It was charring it in the corner.Lastly the original two fan screws were still missing (the loose screws were not the fan screws). (4 screws missing in total)I am disappointed in A Plus Computers service regarding time and quality. Don’t take your MacBook here, you won’t see it for months and it'll come back to you worse than before.
John Bixler: Just seen one of your company cars barely slow down and went right through a stop sign. Does not represent your company very well.
byushaun byushaun: Needed a new Harddrive. They replaced and gave me a few other programs.Very happy.
John Sheehan: Every single person in this place is knowledgeable, helpful and wants to help.
