I could tell that Grizz was happy and comfortable during his stay, and that gave me peace of mind while I was away.But what really sets Ruff House apart is the staff's dedication to their furry guests. They treated Grizz like he was one of their own, giving him plenty of attention and affection throughout his stay. It's clear that they have a genuine love for animals, and that made all the difference for me.

Hill: Being in veterinary medicine, I've always been very cautious about dog parks and daycares. But I brought Ripley here so she could have some dog interactions and playtime. I am so happy I did! She LOVES it here! The staff is fantastic. The facility is safe and clean. Top notch care. I have left Ripley overnight in the boarding facility as well. Now her new favorite word is "daycare" and she perks up! I'm going to be so sad when we have to leave in two weeks. (Travel nursing) but I hope one day we can come back!

We were pretty disappointed. While we would have stayed longer, the smell made us leave. We would have utilized the outdoor space, but it was muddy. If they could get the smell under control, we would love to come again.

Wrong bed was given back at pick up and doggo always smells like urine even though we pay for bath. Dog is potty trained as well. They raised rates recently, but added cost didn't come with better or even decent service. Finally, they keep track of stays and money with pen and paper and seem to make many mistakes.

They have special holiday themed events for the pups for an extra charge and the photos alone are worth the cost, plus they give you a doggie bag of treats to take home after the event.

Angela B: My dog had a 3-day stay at the pet care palace with the king suite and open play. The very limited hours the location is open makes it very very difficult for those traveling in to the area to drop-off/pick-up. The earliest you can pick-up on Sunday is 4pm. We had to check out of our hotel by noon and sit around for 4 more hours until they even opened.My dog has had raging diarrhea since picking her up. The staff mixed her with another dog by the same name and I am thinking they gave my dog the wrong food. They also had to give it 3 tries before locating her belongings. We ended up finding another dogs toys and dog food in her bag once we got home. I was sad to see they never gave her any of her provided treats they stated they would distribute throughout her stay - not one.I will be taking my dog to the vet this week to ensure her diarrhea will resolve. This was not the best experience and I don't feel they were organized at all.

IUHOOSIERIU: DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! As once loyal customers, we had an extremely disappointing experience here. Our puppy was injured (twice in back-to-back days) while under the “care and supervision” of Pampered Pets. After the second injury, we had to take our puppy to the veterinarian and pay for the care to his injuries and prescribed medication. Both times, not one employee notified us of his injuries. I totally understand that injuries and mistakes happen, especially with puppies. However, it was the lack of transparency that really upset us. After the first injury, we told the staff the following morning that, when we picked our puppy up from daycare the previous day, we noticed had a laceration wound that was still wet with blood. We were told they would keep a closer eye on him. That same afternoon when we picked him up, we noticed he now had a large and very swollen puncture wound from another injury. Again, not one employee notified us of the injury. I brought the incidents to the attention of management, hoping they would provide us with a discount or reimbursement of some kind, for the daycare services or veterinary bill. Unfortunately, we were told the contract they make you sign in order to enroll your dog in daycare has an indemnity clause, which frees them from all injury liability that your dog sustains while under their care. While they aren’t legally liable, the way this was handled was just completely unacceptable business practice and their negligence was glaring. My wife and I are newly weds and we paid very good money hoping our puppy would be safe and properly cared for while we worked. Not only did we not receive the services we paid for, we also incurred extra expenses in the form of a veterinary bill and medications. The lack of transparency and handling of this matter was so disappointing, we will no longer be taking our puppy to Pampered Pets. The only recourse we were offered (which they made VERY CLEAR that they did not legally have to provide us with) was a couple of free days of daycare for future stays. The LAST thing we want is to take our puppy back there. Hope it was worth losing a loyal and paying customer. We have since found a replacement Pet daycare and we could not be happier!

Crystal Ayers: We boarded our cat and dog there for the weekend of our wedding. I was nervous about them being in an unfamiliar place away from us. Looking at the facility, it was clean and the standard rooms were pretty spacious, but they also offer deluxe suites. The staff was very friendly and we even got written reports on how our babies did during their stay. I was impressed and very happy that our cat and dog were in good care.

It's a very short window to pick up a lot of dogs, and with the inflexibility of their pick up times that is to be expected. Gave me a chance to chat with some others in line. Phone calls to check in on boarding dogs are never answered, and voicemails are not returned is the consensus of my pick up line neighbors. They also mentioned that the staff admittedly said to them that if you press 5 as instructed no one will answer and to press 2. Either way, no one answers. They did not tell me the behavior of my dog (did he eat? Who knows...) but to be fair I also did not ask because after all this, and traveling all day, I just wanted to get my dog and go home. Updated to three stars because he seemed happy and healthy when he came out. I will try day care here, but on the fence about boarding especially if I know that I will not be able to check in. It looks like their interaction with the dogs is fine but definitely lacking in human customer service.New to town and this place was highly recommended. I brought my dog for boarding as a first time customer and they specifically asked what time I was picking up on Sunday. I told them between 3-6. No one ever mentioned they don't open until 5. So after a long drive, can't pick up doggo for another couple hours because they are physically unable to turn on the computer. It's his first time boarding anywhere and when I called to check twice, no answer. (press 5 to check in on your pet). Would I be this upset had I known the Sunday pick up deal in advance? Absolutely not. But standing there talking to a manager while my dog is inside the facility and they won't rectify the error they made for the convenience of the customer is infuriating. Im not asking or expecting anything for free I would just like my dog and some common sense customer service. I'll happily change my rating and update the post after I receive my dog who seems to be held hostage.

Tia Strickland: If I could give a 0 rating I would. I scheduled boarding here two weeks in advance of a trip because a few of my Vera Bradley coworkers had recommended this place to me. I had a call and wrote down a detailed list of everything in my planner concerning what I could bring for her, scheduled pick up time, etc. The day before my trip was her drop off day- a Saturday. I got a call at 12:50pm asking if I was coming to drop her off. I said that I would be coming between 6:00 and 7:00pm as discussed (I had asked for the latest possible time when scheduling). She then tells me that they would be closing at 1:00pm. Shocked, I tell her that I would try to get her to them immediately as I live ten minutes away and I already had her things packed. Then she tells me since it was after hours, I would be charged an extra $50. I tell her I had the time I was told written down, and she said that the lady I spoke with had written down a 12:30pm drop off time, that they closed at 7:00 Mon-Fri and that she would still have to charge me $50 because her supervisor wasn’t there and wouldn’t be until Monday. Needless to say, this was beyond frustrating and stressful the day before a long-awaited trip. I also by some miracle managed to find someone else to board with. I found it interesting that while google searching other boarding places, I saw that there closing time was falsely advertised as 5:00pm. Also needless to say I will NOT be boarding with Pampered Pets in the future and I will be sure to let everyone else know the stressful experience I had with them.

They have nice big runs and rooms to stay that are temperature controlled, the daycare is well managed and payed for new comers and sizes. The hours are great 7am to 7pm, and really work well for those of us in retail jobs. I love all the add on services like enrichment time where the boys can get one on one play with a daycare attendant. They always have great holiday events, and we love our holiday photos! The staff is amazing there, especially Sherry at the front desk! She knows my puppies so well and is always trying to accommodate them into the schedule. It’s so nice to just have a place to take your full energy puppy to while you work, and know they will be so loved and played with by the time you pick them up! We love Pampered Pets, and they are definitely worth the price!

When you make the appointment, you get charged $25, then after the service, you pay and you get another card service fee. Basically, you pay twice the card service fees. Of course, you don’t get notified at all until the service is done. Just for this visit, I almost paid $300 for a simple pet hair cut. This business adds an incredible amount of fees for things they supposedly did to your pet but I know for fact they didn’t. I hope this review help other pet owners to be aware of this business practices. Any good business should communicate with their customers and seek their approval before proceeding to do extra “things” that are not really requested or needed. Completely disappointed.

They are so rough with the animals they groom they come out bloody and bruised and hair matted!! Ridiculous. This business needs to be closed down. Taking your sweet pup here is a death sentence.

They have it setup where everything is hands off so no accidents happen with someone getting bit but yet he can still go outside. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Only negative thing I would say is that it is a little pricey but its worth the money knowing your pet is in good hands with a good safe place for him.

John Miller: I have been using Von Aries for over 3 years now. I couldn't be happier with their services. I have a 4 yr old GSD and a 4 yr old Explosives K9 Mal/GSD mix that can be a handful. I often get called last minute to travel with my K9 and Von Aries has always tried to get him in for a grooming prior to travel if they can. I am extremely happy with their services and would recommend them to anyone. I deal with the public every day. During these times I know it can be tough to deal with people and you cant make everybody happy. Never the less, every time I enter Von Aries the staff has always been Courteous, Kind and Professional. Kudos to you and your staff!!

We've always had our vet do it but our new vet here in Fort Wayne doesn't do the Dremel.I was so glad to discover Richlene. I dropped Bella off for a bath and nail grind and they did a great job. She came home so soft. But the best part was they did a fantastic job on her nails. She's a Pit Mix and her nails grow like bear claws so I'm very happy that we have found a place that will help us keep her nails short. Great job!!

Crystal Webb: We boarded our husky mix Scarlett for two days. I was worried since she is only a year old and likes a lot of exercise. But she was definitely exercised well with the nature walk and play yard time. She came home and slept most of the day. She also did not chew up her toys or bedding which always happens when she doesn’t get enough exercise.She loved playing with the other dogs in the play yard! I loved that I received a report card about her stay including pictures of her playing. The facility was clean. She came home smelling great and they washed her bedding for me! The staff were very helpful and seemed to really enjoy taking care of their boarders. I’m very thankful for their excellent care and would highly recommend their services!

Scott Campbell: Our dog Cleo (9mo Beagle mix) needed a place to stay (19 days) for an extended period of time while we were out of town for our wedding and honeymoon.Laws exceeded our expectations for her. It was clear she had bonded with staff and the other dogs there. The adjustment period was minimal getting back into her routine at home. Cleo is spunky and needs a lot of attention, and it was clear she received it. The spacious indoor/outdoor kennels helped Cleo keep herself clean. They also gave her a bath and nail trim before Cleo left.All of this at a price no more expensive than any other place in town left us (and Cleo) happy customers. We loved the report card and pictures, which only confirmed Cleo was well taken care of!

Amanda Beck: We took our dog their to be boarded and she came home with Kennel Cough and the owner refused to do anything about it. He has had several calls of Kennel Cough from previous customers and isn't doing anything to prevent or inform current customers of this problem. If you don't want your dog to get sick, don't take them here!

Madison Hartman: Absolutely amazing place. We decided to take a last minute 3 day vacation and they got her in right away (I expected a long process trying to board her but it was very simple and fast). I could bring in some stuff from home to make her kennel feel more homey with our smell. They let me call and get updates whenever I wanted. After I picked her up they sent me an email with her “report card” that detailed her stay with pictures. I will definitely be bringing her back for any boarding or doggy day care needs. I trust their staff and can really tell that they care about the animals.

Cody Aldridge: They take such good care of the pups! Doggie Daycare is definitely worth the drive if you live a little bit outside of Roanoke. My dog gets so excited when we pull down their driveway and darts to the entrance. They give report cards so you can see how your pup did that day and the grounds are beautiful. I highly recommend :)

Amber Day: We’ve come here with our 2 cockapoos probably 10 times so far, and our boys are always super happy when we pick them up, and surprisingly clean! We’ve had only one issue in the past and law’s did everything they could to fix it, and when we brought our dogs back after that issue, staff were very excited to see them and even got on the floor to greet them which made me feel a lot better about leaving them there again :) you can tell they care!

rochelle bloomfield: Changes brought about a need to start boarding my beloved Zara who deals with a few challenges! She’s never been boarded and hates being in kennels. #2. She is not particularly friendly when she first meets new ppl and #3. Hasn’t spent a ton of time around other dogs…. So started the search and research for a place that would meet her needs and mine, a place that was highly recommended by other pet owners, clean and willing to work with my 9yo rescue pup.. My search lead me to Zachs! First phone call with Zach was helpful with wonderful suggestions that have made a huge difference! Meet and greet went amazingly well and Zara warmed up quickly to Zach and his staff…. Her two day stays worked to acclimate her to this new environment! She came home being able to say she has new human friends!!! …. In a nutshell the facilities are SUPER CLEAN! tons of room for the pets, various services and amenities to meet a variety of needs for pets, and their owners, Staff are professional, reliable caring, supportive and super helpful! Although we had some personal glitches just prior to drop off; Zach accommodating!!! Her 5 day extended stay was wildly successful!!Thank you Zach and team!!

When I spoke with Zach the first time he fully explained the entirety of his packages, options we had, and was very reasonably priced. We were apprehensive as we had never left our dogs with anyone before, but Zach reassured us, was patient, kind, and took care of our pets as if they were his own. We will be back, and I will recommend to anyone who asks!

They even had baths that morning. My dogs came back more happy and well behaved than when I dropped them off. There were no behavioral signs that they were nervous or uncomfortable during their stay. The staff there was super nice, cheerful, and seemed to actually love their jobs (unlike other kennels I've used). The facility is clean, modern, and in the country with plenty of room for doggos. I will never use another kennel again.

We will definitely use them for future boarding and maybe even other services. They have a great layout for the animals for boarding and activities with a spa/cleaning facility, they have a great staff I feel comfortable watching my pet, wouldn't think twice or worry once. Hannah Hewson: My girlfriend and I needed someone to watch our precious Beau while we were away on vacation and her mother recommended Zach’s to us. She dropped beau off since we were already away on vacation and we were really nervous about how it would go but the staff was very reassuring and supportive. Unfortunately boarding is just not the way to go for our particular pup and beau left early which is no one’s fault. But this 5 star review is for how the staff handled our situation. The entire staff definitely did their best to try and make beau comfortable with them but he was just too scared in the unfamiliar environment. They were very professional and reached out to us in the morning when they realized beau wasn’t going to improve. We were able to have a backup plan and get someone to pick him up. I am just so thankful that the staff communicated so well and treated beau with so much love (even when he was not loving towards them).
