I have gotten boutonnieres, funeral arrangements, and deliveries to workplaces and hospitals.Recently, I ordered a casket spray. The service was cancelled the night before. I was able to contact Flowers of Canterbury about it. I asked them if they would postpone making the arrangement until the service was rescheduled, and they agreed (they offered to return my money in the meantime, over $400, but I decided to leave it as is). The service was a month later, and I let them know with 4 days notice. The flowers were at the service, exactly as ordered, fresh, beautiful, in bloom, in the colors specified, with the ribbons I requested saying 'grandmother' etc.If you are willing to call, they are very accommodating, as I mentioned above with the service, and they are willing to customize much more than the website allows. In fact, the same casket spray would have cost me $25 more online, and it wouldn't have been in the colors it came in. They are excellent at communicating and giving you what you paid for in what is currently available and in season, as close as possible to what you wanted. I always use them for my flower needs, and that won't change.

Buyer beware!I am living in Oregon and relied on Flowers of Canterbury to deliver my needs. I placed my order on Tuesday. Wednesday I receive a missed call and email saying my “card didn’t go through right, Sounds like the wrong number was transacted?” I’ve never been able to process a transaction when the number is off. The email received also states to call and update info. I live in Oregon so my time zone is three hours behind, once I was off work the shop was closed. I will never give card information over an unsecured email. I called today when I was on break (just before 2pm) with my new card information. Cindy was very rude stated she “pretty much owns the place” and she just cancelled my order. I was appalled. I never got any warning that it was cancelled nor that it would be cancelled if no response by.. So this meant she had not saved ANY information including my heart felt message, address, names, etc. remember I am on lunch break. She proceeded to be extremely rude and said it’s not my fault you didn’t call me yesterday, I emailed you and you could have sent your card info through email. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. When I told her I didn’t appreciate how rude she was being and that I live in Oregon she hung up on me. I called back and requested that an email be sent stating she canceled my order. Unbelievable.This place should be closed down. You were not in my position so it is hard to completely understand, but I’ve never dealt with an “owner” so rude and unappreciative of business especially the way things are now.

He even took it to the counter for us. Price was considerably cheaper than the one we got last year from a different greenhouse. Only difference was these haven’t flowered yet but we got the plant a little later last year. Definitely will go back, based on customer service alone.

While quite lovely, it WAS NOT what I ordered. I contacted my hometown florist who had wired the order. She in turn contacted this vendor who stated they call what I ordered a ‘dish garden’ so they made the unilateral decision to send the hydrangea. So I wasted my money. Would not recommend this florist because of this experience and the fact they did not clarify the order or offer to correct their mistake.

She indicated they had called my friend and she failed to show up that night before and they were expecting her the next day. I followed up on Monday only for a different lady to tell me the phone number was missing a digit so they hadn't been able to get in contact with my friend and they were glad I called in. So the first lady that was rude to me lied and had never spoken with my friend and never stayed after work like she said to wait on my friend. Also, why was I never called and asked for the correct number? Why wait 3 days and hope that I would call? Poor customer service plus you lied to me! Keep in mind, there’s nothing on the website that says this. Lauren Davis: Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience here for my wedding. We were treated very poorly by the owner. When we walked in, we were told no one else had an appointment for the day. However, we sure did. I called initially and the week before to confirm as well to secure an appointment. The owner refused to allow us to make all the pieces we needed for my wedding which was the next day. She stated she had to make them and she “didn’t have time” but we thought it was a DIY place so that was confusing. This led to my new mother in law going without a corsage which I felt horrible about. The owner seemed annoyed by our presence and was not helpful in sharing the process with us. She then blamed us for not telling her what we needed when we called to make the appointment but we did tell her what was needed. It seems she forgot to take note when we called. Her husband was present and was kind; he seemed embarrassed by her behavior and was trying to make it better. She seems quite unhappy overall which made for such a sad and irritating experience which is not what you want to have for your wedding. Due to the experience, it seemed overpriced. We never received details or invoice on pricing so we had no way to calculate what we owed which seemed questionable and unprofessional. I wish her happiness; I know hurt people, hurt people. I understand many people are currently overworked and that can effect business. However, I’d rather do elsewhere and would suggest others to do the same.

Jena Kvas: I was really excited for this part of the wedding planning. A DIY florist is a GREAT concept and business idea. The ladies working there were talented in making beautiful arrangements, but the actual DIY experience was upsetting. The ladies were rude and unprofessional. One of the employees was trying to instruct one of my bridesmaids but didn’t know her name (understandably) but just said “Hey you, you’re doing that wrong” while snapping her fingers. I felt so bad that my friends had to deal with that. I then went to go pick of the flowers day of and the lady goes, “They’re making the bride pick of the flowers?” And “Of course they send the person with the smallest car.” Like I said, they’re talented at making beautiful arrangements but their attitudes towards their costumers were upsetting.

I’m only giving them 2 stars because when they delivered them they forgot the flowers for 16 tables. It was on Sunday so when I called the phone number of course no one answered since it was a Sunday. I had to have someone go get some flowers. Tried to match the ones we did have but couldn’t get the exact same colors so the tables did not all match. I did get a refund for the flowers we were missing plus a little more for the mistake but feel it should have been more. That’s kind of a big mistake on someone’s wedding day. My suggestion to future brides would be to make sure you get a cell phone number just in case.

B G: my bridal party and I went in to make our own boquets. I'm giving them 2 stars because the boquets did turn out pretty, but the personality or mood of the ladies helping came off rude. My friend came in 5 minutes after we started and I showed her the picture of what we were trying to make. The lady helping us asked her if she knew what to do, and my friend said "not really" and laughed after. Then the lady replied "well did you look at the picture!? What's wrong with you?!". We thought she was joking, but she didn't laugh after and that left the room feeling very awkward. A few other things like that happened throughout the appointment, but they would go on and be nice and compliment our boquets. Kinda seemed like they were back and forth with sounding rude and then nice. But it's supposed to be a fun time with the girls before the wedding. So I would say to just lighten up a bit and be able to make it enjoyable for everyone. We are paying not only for the flowers but also a good experience.

Laura K: I went to this place looking for a fun and unique experience for my wedding - making our own flowers and bouquets. From the get-go, the woman I worked with was very brusk and abrasive. At the first meeting, I thought it might have just been the result of a bad day, but she was just as rough the day we made our flowers. The bouquets turned out ok, but they would have looked better coming from the florist who made the regular alter arrangements for the church. Also, even though we had called to change our order slightly several weeks in advance, the changes were not reflected in the final products when we arrived to make our things. We eventually got it sorted out, but the overall experience with this business was very disappointing. It really wasn't enjoyable because of the way we were treated by the staff. No smiles, no joking, just abrasive instruction & correction, and (in my opinion) extremely unprofessional complaining about the previous customer that day. I was really looking forward to this through the whole planning process and it did not live up to expectations at all. I really wish it would have.

Sep: Love the concept. Flowers turned out very pretty but it was 100% not what we asked for. Feel like it was what the designer wanted and we just made them. She was contacted multiple times with the change to make sure everything was confirmed and when we walked into the door to have our diy night it was what she orginally wanted and not what we asked for. Never said anything to her because first, there isn't a whole lot you can do and second, she is very unapproachable. I had a bad feeling to begin with and should have stuck with my gut to shop around. She didn't listen very well. So with this being said I give it only two stars mostly for poor customer service on the design end. Very affordable and nice fresh flowers, but if you want something specific make sure you put your foot down and double or triple check to make sure all is correct!

My step mom was very happy with her bouquet. I'm using this place again in a few weeks. I went in here last week to look at their white roses, they had a few pink roses that were blown and were going to be thrown away. The owner gave me two of those pink roses because they were just so beautiful and over a week later they are still standing tall and beautiful!

But we trusted her creative process, focusing on the color palette we wanted and the few flowers we didn’t like.The biggest thing was we wanted texture and some different kinds of florals to give it a fall, garden vibe. They knocked it out of the park! There were all these interesting flowers like blue thistle and some I didn’t know the names of. We loved it all! Everyone commented about how beautiful the flowers were too.The wedding florals were reasonably priced for the quality and time spent on our small order. We also wanted to do bud vases and they were very honest about it being more affordable to get some from Trader Joe’s for the simple reception look we wanted. I was 3 weeks early for the date I needed them. The woman who was behind the counter made me feel as if I was imposing on her before I even told her what I was looking for. No smile at all but a rude, "when are you looking for the flowers" and "daisies are very hard to make into a bouquet" and "it is a very busy weekend and I don't know if I can help you". I was looking for the flowers on the Friday of the weekend of Mother's Day and a prom. I would have understood if she simply and nicely just said that the florist was too busy. It was the way that I was treated when it wasn't warranted. I did not return the rudeness at any time.

She pink carnations, daisies and pink roses. When I spend almost the kind of money I did, I expect to get what I ordered. I’m out of State so guess they thought I wouldn’t know. I ordered a certain color for a reason, “Oh Well!” What the sent was pretty just not what was ordered.

While all the other arrangements from Armstrong or Young’s Flowers were fresh & beautiful, mine was an embarrassment. Drooping, old flowers with so much greenery it was ridiculous. For the large amount of money I spent, I was disgusted. Go somewhere else!

Chrissy Curry: My husband ordered a bouquet of flowers for me for Christmas, direct from this location. They were delivered quickly and looked pretty, but were small for the price. The reason I am giving 2 stars is only because of the quick delivery. They didn't come in the pretty vase that was shown online. They were delivered in a Mason jar. And after about 4 days my entire kitchen started to smell like rotten fish. I thought it was the water at first, but after changing it the smell was still very strong. I sprayed them with cologne to try to get rid of the smell, but that didn't work. I had to just throw them away, which was sad after less than a week.
