Dupont Hospital - Emergency Room: what do users think?
pete agr: 1 star is generous but don't have the option to give 0. I took my wife to the emergency with 103 fever, no iv fluids, no tests, just a rapid covid/influenza. They gave my wife ibuprofen and 1 hour later they said the results are negative and they discharged her with 102 FEVER saying she is fine. The doctor was horrible,he was lazy and no interest for my wife's well-being. 2 days later spiked a fever of 104.5f. Took her to Parkview. They admitted her and ran several tests and got diagnosed with pneumonia. They have a pulmonologist and an infectious disease doctor assigned She is on IV fluids and two different antibiotics, fever is controlled. We will most definitely not go back to Dupont.
Karley Sizemore: I’m not the type to ever complain but the staffing was very rude and unprofessional and the nursing staff did a terrible job taking care of my fiancé I do not recommend this hospital and they will be hearing from me very soon
Jill Thiele: We have been waiting over 4 hours to be seen by the Dr. My daughter has abdominal right sided pain. No scans have been ordered. Only blood work has been done. Saw the Dr for 30 seconds. And she ran out of the room. I checked with the nurse 3 times and all I get is the dr is stuck in a room. REALLY!!!! DOES NOT TAKE THAT LONG TO ORDER A XRAY OR SCAN. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
Anonymous Anonymous: Beware of Nurse Seth, he probably knows nursing, vitals, bloodwork, etc. but his bedside manner is just horrible, he is aggressive & seemingly doesn't enjoy interacting with patients, with zero compassion.
Michael Conner: Front desk literally ignored my call after I called the first time. Very rude . Hung up on me aswell so I didn’t even get to ask what I needed to know. Absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker JennRay: At Dupont Hospital currently with leg pain, possible blood clot in the leg. Been waiting for an ultrasound tech for 2hrs.- The nurse has been nice and given my 5yr old juice and a snack. He and the waiting room receptionist have been the only acceptable portions of this hospital. The nurses name was Timothy.- the registration person was very standoffish and not warm the first time in the room. She returned after I located information and was nicer.- the doctor didn't introduce himself, asked 2 questions to which he barely waited for a response before looking at my leg for all of 45 seconds and then leaving.- The ultrasound tech was nice once she got into the roomI am entirely disappointed and almost angry at the horrible experience I am having my very first time coming to Dupont hospital.I went to the nurses station to inquire about the timing of the tech arriving. She made a call however, didn't even bother to walk across the hall to my room to tell me. She waited til I walked out of the room to assist my son in the bathroom to flippantly tell me "the tech is here, we're just waiting for her to come up hon".Had to ask a second time for an estimate of the tech's arrival to which the same nurse expressed no urgency or care for the fact that I've been waitingHorrible service by MOST of the staff I've encountered. I moved to Fort Wayne 6 months ago and this is the very first hospital visit I've had. I will NEVER come back here and I will recommend that no one else does either.** the doctor's name was Dr Stahee(not sure of spelling). When I asked his name, he said he told me when he first came in.
Danielle Baum: UPDATE! ** Lisa called me today to discuss my experience and was wonderful to speak with! They do take these reviews very seriously and ensure that patients are taken care of properly. The staff does review and make improvements based on patient experiences. I cannot express how great is was to speak with Lisa to make sure no one goes through an experience like I did. I wanted to take the time to adjust my review because I have never had a company call me to address issues like this. Lisa, I hope Dupont Hospital knows just how great an employee you are! If I am ever needing to go back to the ED I will be giving Dupont a visit. Thank you again Lisa for listening to my concerns. *** please note she did not ask me to change my review***I will never go to this ER ever again!!! I walked in and my first reg flag should have been how rude the check in was. The 2nd red flag was the nurse Seth that brought me back to the room rushing me back there when there was only one other patient in the ED. Wasn’t even fullygowned and wanted back in proceeded to pulled my hand away from my abdomen that was in severe pain just to put my ID band on. The 2nd nurse blew out 3 of my veins trying to get the IV in, Seth came back in and got it. Finally after an hour I received pain meds. Dr. Miller came in barely said anything just asked what was causing pain, did not come near me once. Ordered a CT, Ultrasound and blood work. When I was in tears as the first 2 rounds of pain meds did not work they refused to give me anything else after nearing the 4 hour mark. So after about 5 hrs I was told to leave the room and they offered zero assistance leaving the hospital. None of them had any bedside manors, beyond rude! Avoid this place at all costs!
Adrienne Hensley: Took my daughter to the ER and we waited over an hour to be seen. My daughter had chest pains and shortness of breath. They took patients back before us that had just gotten there. We ended up leaving and going to Parkview instead. We were in and out there faster than our wait time at Dupont.
Casey Richardson: The doctors and nurses were amazing here.
Billy “Bubba”: Went in with facial pain was told it was a impacted ear. Was givin nothing for it and was charged 1,400. This place was and is pathetic!
Gene Fahl: Dr.Perez has no business being anywhere near people who need help. She is a rude and terrible person. People in need do not need a human as souless as her trying to help them. Then she denies medicine to a child in need because you question her. She is Not god.
Home Thierry: Dupont sales your debt to collection agencies and do not care how those agencies treat you. If we all stop going for service with their ridiculous prices and how they treat the sick we can change the way of medicine. One day we will all have to see God and explain how we treated each other.
aakash shah: For 4 min long ultrasound test they charged me $4049.Absolutely Ridiculous..!!!
alley everett (alleyxo): i had to go yesterday for a unusual high heart rate for a 15 year old, both of my nurses were really sweet & patient with me as i’ve never had some of those tests done. they both deserve a raise, both only had to stick me one time and it was quick and painless. it was scary but they really helped calmed me down. my first nurses last name was bailey, she’s really nice and i loved her ❤️

Parkview Hospital Randallia: Emergency Room: what do users think?
Terri Bock: Wonderful & compassionate care from the time I arrived by ambulance. They were kind and efficient. It IS the emergency department, and although they were very busy, it was a reasonable wait time. Even the staff who didn’t attend to me were nice as we passed by, telling me to take care when I left.
Steven McComb: I took my wife to the ER last night for a Mental Health Crisis and they transferred her to Parkview Behavioral Health. They had her personal belongings locked up and security had the key, purse with credit cards and ID. My wife called me and said her belongings didn’t make to PBH.I called ER and they told me the security guard said he bagged them up and sent them to PBH as of today they have not been able to find anything this is really not good especially when my wife is having a mental health crisis.
Dimelo Waterson: If you've ever wanted to wait in pain while a man with cataracts shouts at every single person asking for cigarettes (to smoke indoors), assistance putting on his socks, and otherwise complains about everyone in the waiting room, this is the ER for you. Bonus points if you aren't white and want him to make weird racial comments. If you have kids, he will also comment on your parenting. When I mentioned him to the front desk as we left, I was told "that's not your problem" and "there's nothing I can do." They then called security, after he had been free to rant and harass other prospective patients for over an hour, unnoticed. The man was in a wheelchair with a full size garbage bag full of clothes, hooked up to oxygen, literally shouting across the room at people; it's not like he was being subtle. Not to mention he mentioned waiting for a psych eval and was in a gown on leads and oxygen, indicating he was a patient.Unsure which would be worse: abandoning a mentally ill patient in the waiting room without the front desk even knowing he was there, or allowing a disruptive mentally ill person into the waiting room without him being a patient. The waiting room is designed with a security office conveniently located inside it. Of course, no one was inside.
Michaela Miller: I'll give 2 stars because when I took my daughter they had someone who helped children acclimate to the ER.The male Dr (?) was very rude and forceful when my 3 year old was not wanting to open her mouth.I went in another time and I believe it was the same doctor gave this whole attitude like I was faking it because I had chest pain and my lungs hurt. I was recovering from possible bronchitis, having a panic attack and had not yet been prescribed anxiety meds, so when it ended up being just chest pain and I think he prescribed something for coughing, I just didn't care for the whole attitude I got from him.I had someone with me who kinda got that too.Even if it was just anxiety, it needs to be treated just like any other illness.
Jesse Holt: This is the indicated, dedicated, after-hours location for the Park Center Walk-In mental health clinic next door, which is why I came here; I wanted to go there first. Sadly, this ER does not appear to be equipped to handle non-suicide mental health emergencies. Before checking-in I asked a few questions of the intake nurse, indicated my severe need, was told there was no way to know how long I might wait to be seen, and given no opportunity to explain myself before being cut off, essentially told to save it for the doctor. I left instead.
Miriah Moyer: Nurses and aides were fantastic, however, I was still held there against my will. I went in for mental health help, and after an hour and a half I told them I wanted to leave and come back another day. I was told that due to some policy, they we're allowed to let me out until I've been cleared or seen. I was there for 5 hours before I was even seen. I wasn't allowed my phone, my purse, or anything else. The nurse on duty was so angry she went to go grab someone from their office to see me. I appreciate her, but still ridiculous.
Paige: Visited this location a little bit ago fairly late at night and was immediately put off upon my arrival. The male nurse who was working the front desk that I unfortunately did not get the name of was extremely rude (being short, rolling his eyes, not listening to me) and I should of knew right then and there to just to turn around and go to a different location and if I hadn’t been in very severe pain I would of. The staff was very disorganized and scattered. They didn’t run any blood work or tests on me just a urinalysis and just told me to set up an appointment with a doctor to do additional testing who couldn’t get me in for almost two weeks despite the fact that I was severely sick and in pain, which they charted. Honestly if it wasn’t for PA Heather I would just leave 1 star. Heather was really sweet and actually helpful. She checked up on me multiple times and informed me on a lot of things I didn’t know. Ultimately, it was a very unpleasant experience. It disappointed me so much because I always have good experiences through Parkview but this was just not the case. I left in the same exact condition I came in, just more frustrated and with less money. For an emergency healthcare facility, there is, for the most part, a big lack of urgency and care for their patients at this location. I sincerely urge you to go to a different location, especially later at night, if you are in need of emergency services.
Justin Thomas: Gave Benadryl for a seizure and released the patient. Will Not Return!
Dan Sorrell: Michelle the night nurse in the ER is awesome!!! Best nurse ever. Super nice! Thank you so much!! My arm is feeling so much better!
nightingale 2008: I am So disappointed last night. My baby vomited and she so weak but we have to wait 2 hours to see Dr .How can we call Emergency? If serious patient will die soon .
Anna: Was there for an emergency visit. Everyone was very nice and caring, I saw the doctor 2 min after i was brought in, had a CT scan about 10 min later. Can not express my gratitude enough for the staff and nurses who took care of me ❤️ thank you for what you’re doing.
Crystal Garris: Nurses and doctors saved my life a few times. Thank you for your empathy and hard work!
Tin Tin: I want to rate no star to ER for what I have experienced today. I am very upset since I standing in front of front desk. Today I run to ER because my baby was having severely allergic after drinking formula. I carry my baby and walk in to ER then I stop at the front desk. Two clerks were talking instead of asking me for how they can help. One of them don’t even know how to take blood pressure correctly. When they ask me to come again to take blood pressure for second time. That’s when I decide to walk out of lobby and headed to different hospital. I stop by Parkview Even tho I gave birth at different hospital because I strongly believed that Parkview has excellent service and put patient in first. But I was wrong when good hospital have poor staff. I just want to say that if you choose this career because you love to help others then put your heart and soul into it. Or otherwise you should go somewhere else. Please leave this opportunity for other that is willing to take over to help patients With excellent service.
Lakashia Veazey: Extremely slow. Waited 4 hours to be transferred to a room upstairs. Nurse forgot my medicine and they were having a great time laughing doing what they were supposed to do. Nurse MARY. Physician assistant MEGAN/Marcus. I would never recommend this hospital. They don’t put the patients first. They take their time. Terrible
