Locked Up - Fort Wayne | Escape Room Experience: what do users think?
Shannon Wymer: We were in town visiting family, and it was my youngest’s 15th birthday. So we decided to celebrate with an escape room. Our family has done lots of escape rooms, but it was rather new for my sister in law and nephew. We planned to do The Forgotten because our first choice seemed to be booked. However, when we got there, the game master said Antiviral was not booked and switched us no problem. The facility was great with a nice large lobby. The game was challenging without being impossible. My nephew wants to do another one here with his friends. We escaped which is always more fun.
Valrie “LadyV1216”: Family friendly fun, clean environment
Erica “E.kane527”: So fun! Took my kids and we all had a ball definitely recommend 10/10.
Sheila Curry: We took our Sales group in to do some team-building. It was a great time! Thank goodness for the "helpers" behind the screen!!Sheila Curry / Steel Dynamics
Maia Wachter- Harpist: Great rooms and helpful staff! Highly recommend for a great time
Charlie Hanes: My group did the Heist and successfully escaped. The rooms are a delightfully scenic experience, and they have difficulty levels for newer or more experienced escapists. Staff was lively as well, and rather good at giving hints
Wes Borton: Let me start off by saying WOW! This place is amazing I must admit, I’ve never been to an escape room before so I had no idea what to expect. And this is probably the best place I’ll ever find honestly, the facility is very clean and very nice for even a large group with all the seating. The room I did was amazing and always had something interesting behind each door. I am definitely coming back!
August Yingling: My team made it out in just the nick of time! Very fun experience with unique room design
Brittany Nason: Though the young lady mentioned the locks were sticky we wasted 20 minutes trying to open 1 that we had correct the entire time. Also she gave us a wrong clue so we were told to skip the second box altogether. We didn’t receive our time back for the 20 minutes wasted on a correct answer & poor lock or for giving us a bad clue. In the past I’ve had 1 lock not open at a different facility and they came in paused our time because the locks were warring out and that wasn’t on us. We were told here we were 5 minutes from escaping. Don’t think we will go back here if they won’t invest in locks that work properly. Make note I looked at the camera multiple times showing that the 4th dial wouldn’t move & stating the answer.
DARYL CHUPP: We had a great time, staff was great!!!
Jim Sam: A door opened that shouldn't have and we got items we shouldn't have had until the end of the game. Somehow they didn't notice leading us to waste a bunch of time on an item we couldn't possibly figure out. We wasted a minute due to the monitor not working and not displaying our hint. Ultimately the monitors stopped displaying working all together and we couldn't see our time.
Sierra Bates: My friends and I went for one of our birthdays and we had so much fun! The staff was incredibly sweet and the rooms were amazing. Even though we didn't escape we all had a fantastic time! There were so many different elements that none of us expected. I would definitely recommend going to Locked Up Fort Wayne and will be in again!
dawn hagar: So much fun
Amanda Brummett: The Vault Heist room was put together great, we got out with almost 19 minutes left! Our game master Tracy was so fun & she set the scene up so well! We’re headed back again this weekend for The Forgotten room, which Tracy challenged us to!
Mark Mesing: A great place to go!
Bryan Speidel: Reservation mix up. First we scheduled the wrong day, they adjusted for us. Arrived and the room we planned to do was double booked. We al.oat got through a level ten just me and my wife. Recommend just doing a room. The surprise was a chmenge for us. We are planning a second date there to conquer the room we originally planned. Would definitely recommend. 2 to 10 people its a good time. It's the first room I couldn't get out of...
Locked Up - Mishawaka: Had a Great time! Jasmine was a great hostesses. She helped us stay on the task at hand. Clues were great and room was great. We did the vault heist. We will definitely be back. Keep up the great work.
Camica Gibbs: This was my first escape room experience. This was so exciting. I enjoyed every minute of it.We were a group of 4, myself, a 9, 10, and 11 year old. Our goal was to escape from Guantanamo Bay within 50 minutes. That never happened. The room stumped us for sure. I highly recommend this to anyone that is up for a good puzzle. We will definitely be back to try out other rooms.
Rebecca Durovey: My group of 3 did two rooms on our first visit to Locked Up Fort Wayne. The first one, Antiviral, was AMAZING - super immersive, well paced, and quite challenging (we finished with 4 seconds left!). Our guide was also amazing, pausing for circumstances outside of our control and giving helpful clues when asked. I've done about 20 escape rooms now with different companies and this room was one of my absolute favorites. The second room, however, The Forgotten, was AWFUL. This room should be rated a 10/10 on difficulty and only offered to groups of at least 4. There was absolutely no way for our group of 3 to successfully finish this room, which is really demoralizing to realize 15 minutes in. A good portion of the difficulty isn't even in the mental challenge of the puzzles, it's in the design of the room. I get wanting to be atmospheric and create a vibe, but when it's too dark to see the clues you're looking for (or the environment actively works against your goal, like correctly figuring out a color sequence when everything is bathed in red light and you can't tell the colors apart), it's incredibly frustrating. There is also a dexterous physical challenge in this room, which was practically impossible for our limited group to successfully navigate. All in all, I likely will come back again to Locked Up Fort Wayne to try a few of their other rooms, as I was really impressed with Antiviral. However, I do think management needs to reconsider some of their room design choices and minimum player requirements. Our game guide for The Forgotten tried to make us feel better by telling us that "oh, most of the groups that try The Forgotten don't make it out, even bigger groups." That sounds an awful lot like a teacher who says "oh, most students who take this class fail it." Speaks to the need for reevaluation and redesign. After all, what's the fun in trying to beat the room if success is out of reach?
Beth Cutler: Sooo much fun! Will definitely be going back. The time went so fast because we were so focused and having a blast.
Tracy Hamsher: The staff was awesome! Our Gamemaster was amazing! She explained everything very well. We did the Antivirus room, and we passed with one hint left! This room required a lot of thought, but we all loved it!

Fort Wayne Escape Room: what do users think?
Amanda Pickett: UPDATE:The owner reached out to us right away and was SUPER nice. There was an issue with the set of instructions we got, and the business is addressing this, which is great, because this really was an interesting and challenging room! We have been invited to try again, and we are really looking forward to it!Our family recently did an escape room here, and although there were some fun things about it, we left feeling pretty unhappy. Our gamemaster had REALLY emphasized that we should be respectful of the room (don't damage anything, basically, which of course we already knew), but without revealing too much, there were at least 2 instances where we HAD to do things that felt really wrong based on the instructions she had given us. We lost a ton of time because of this. The rooms are not miked - unlike the half a dozen other escape rooms we have been to - which is problematic because every time we wanted to communicate with our gamemaster, we had to use a walkie-talkie. We had an issue with one of the room elements not working right and forgot that we had to use the walkie-talkie, which resulted in our gamemaster saying repeatedly (although reasonably nicely), "What are you guys doing?" without reminding us to use the device to talk to her. We'd actually like to go back and try again, knowing what we know now about what's actually "allowed." However, this place really emphasizes that you can't do the same room again. We'd happily accept that our success wouldn't "count" - we just found the room actually interesting enough to want to finish it.
Rhoswen Night: These guys are great! I've done the rooms multiple times and enjoy it every time! They gamemasters are so friendly and easy to communicate with! Thank you guys for an amazing time!
Bill Patrick: Me and the family had a blast
Hannah Mekaru: I have done four rooms here and loved each one! Lot's of mental and physical puzzles to keep things interesting. You will not be disappointed!
J B: Went here several years ago with 3 other females. We did not escape, but we had fun!!
Nick Harvey: I had a blast with my cousins, my brother, and others of our family getting out of the Game Of Thrones escape rooms. Awesome layouts with great details. We will most likely go again and try a different theme, just wish it was a little cheaper for how big our group was.
Peanut Head: Super fun experience! The two people working the night before Christmas Eve were awesome! The room we chose, deep space, was set up nicely, and we had a fun time escaping. Would definitely visit here again.!
Katrine: What an amazing guy. Great set up, my friend and I had a great birthday.
Travis Callaway: We did The Iron Throne and it was a blast! Without spoiling anything it blew my expectations out of the water.
Katrina Faucett: My friend and I did the Inception and Iron Throne room. The concept was interesting and engaging. They had a wide range of locks and interactive puzzles. Never bored. I have done over 50 escape rooms and found it refreshing to play their games. Definitely will return to play the other.
Jerry Hunt: The Best Escape Room in Fort Wayne! I've done all the others in town and this location has the most fun and entertaining rooms!
Theodore Ford: Amazing experience! I always have a blast when I come here!
Samuel Harper: Great room, nice employee. Little pricey. $210 for 7 people
Cass Walker: We did the space room. It was challenging and fun!
Joan Tiefel: Great
Tonya Lechko: Had a blast with my daughter for her 17th birthday! Definitely hoping again.
Ab K: Did the “Taken” room last night. This was my first ever experience doing an escape room and it was so much fun! Game Master Erin was great also! Although the room had about a 10-15% chance of escaping we were on the last clue when we ran out of time. Highly recommend.
Mr RyGuy: Very fun, I had a blast. Would always come back.
Angela Palmer: Definitely going back! Best staff, great time!
Lucas Shrock: It was a good time considering having four teenagers lol. Everyone had a great time and we will be back again to do another room.
Kyle Baxter: We visited in March 2022 and tried our luck at escaping “Deep Space”. Parents, along with two kids under 12. Didn’t quite make it out, but still had a blast! The room was well designed and kept the kids interested and striving to work together and figure out the puzzles! Highly recommended!

Escapology Escape Rooms Fort Wayne: what do users think?
B McMillan: Had a great time with family. Staff friendly and accommodating. The puzzles were challenging. Nice waiting area.
Kenzie Daring: Game master didn’t do their job after they left the room. Said she’d be watching through the cameras and wouldn’t let us struggle too long on a clue, they’d help out. If we felt stuck, the game allowed for 3 hints to be requested. Hit button after struggling with all possible things to decode. Game master had to ask a question she shouldn’t have had to ask had they been watching. Weren’t they watching us? We said yes and it led us to how to solve a puzzle. Letters were missing from the words, but we deciphered code. However, item didn’t work after trying it numerous times. Multiple players attempted and it was checked 5-7 times. This wasted a lot of time. Game master had promised not to let us struggle and they allowed for this. We hit the hint button again and again they asked about thing we need help solving 20 minutes prior. Not watching again? We answered, but she still displayed the same hint we were given before. We had to say many times and explain we’d already solved that. She learned finally we had the right code for next step, item just wasn’t working. A different lady (not the gamemaster) came in and resolved issue. We ran out of time before 3rd room. Pieces also had to be put on a certain way, all except for last one. That one went opposite of all others. Afterwards, a third worker told us there was no way for us to have known that other than just flipping the last one. I feel like for how expensive this was, two adults and two ten year olds on kids mode should’ve been helped more. They did not watch us and that resulted in wasted time. They also allowed for a lot of wasted time while on the correct path. This was a Christmas present for my daughter. She’d done the cowboy one before and loved it. Said the game master helped them out a lot more and it was more fun and interactive for her. Both kids had no fun because they couldn’t figure anything out. Too hard for them to interact. The third lady that came in didn’t care at all about the beginning directions from the game master not having been followed through on. I’m not for participation trophies or walking someone through something, but for $280, family should’ve been able to have fun and not workers collecting paychecks in back rooms not doing their jobs. Very disappointed.
Demetrius Mims: Absolutely loved it. Great way to stimulate the mind and have a great time.
Sara Conley: Great for company parties!!
Erin Wood: Really enjoyed the Air Force 1 room!
Megan Crawford: Mayday was nicely decorated for the theme. My group has done escape rooms before, and this was by far the easiest one we've ever done, even though it had an 8/10 difficultly rating. There were very few locks to pass between the rooms, so it wasn't very challenging. Then, the person who set up our room forgot to put a lock back on in the last area, so we bypassed half of the clues in that room since the answers were laying out. We informed the staff afterwards, and we weren't offered any form of compensation, which was very disappointing because we didn't get to complete the full experience. Not sure I'd return. We've never experienced this problem at any of the other escape rooms in Fort Wayne.
Rachel Nally: Had a blast
Vinnie Crump: What a great experience. We played Arizona Shootout, and my 11 year old and myself, were able to escape. It was so fun and not terribly hard.
Lori Shipman: My daughter came to Escapology with her friends for her birthday and they had a BLAST! I did not do the escape room with them so I can’t say firsthand how it was, but I can tell you that the staff were amazing. They were kind, patient and creative. They combined to give my daughter and her friends a very fun, memorable evening. I would highly recommend Escapology!
M T: Our daughter had her 11th birthday party there. The group of 5 girls really enjoyed it even though they didn't crack the code.
Krispy Pringles: Fun rooms, great puzzles, good staff and amazing props
Paul Marques: Going to an escape room at Escapology was a great experience! My group chose the Budapest Express escape room. It was difficult to put all of the pieces together, but this was the highest difficulty level, so it was to be expected. The group included kids, aged 11-17. The kids were quite helpful, so if you are thinking about bringing older (10+) kids, they are able to be helpful. My group did escape and had a ton of fun doing it. Some of the puzzles were difficult to figure out, but not too difficult. I highly recommend Escapology!
essie falls: Love is had fun
Amber Ventura: Super fun had a great time. Staff was so friendly and the game master gives you subtle but helpful hints without ruining the game or experience. Been here before and definitely will come back. Thanks for a great time!
Dan Hoffman: You have to love Escape games. This place is top shelf. Go! You can't not have fun!
Diamond Woods: it is so boring ..do not go here the people are rude
Selina Gile: Fun!!
Not Listed: The lobby is immaculate, cozy, and absolutely beautifully decorated. The room we did... less so.We had fun, but it absolutely felt like someone gave two guys $100 and a weekend to make an escape room out of a dorm room. Some elements of the room were damaged. Instead of a computer screen, displaying information there were printed and laminated screenshots of web pages. It felt like the escape room got zero maintenance since it had been installed.Edit:We decided to give the place another shot. The second room we did was in even worse shape. Broken locks, peeling decals, broken mirrors. I guess it was supposed to be the ancient Aztec temple of a "poor college student"
Brittany T: Very fun experience
Mike Plummer: Had a great time. Very clean rooms and neat themes.
Debra Peigowski: "Arizona Shootout" was challenging yet solvable, the puzzles were clever, and the props were high quality.

Hysterium Escapes: what do users think?
Dakota Goldwood: This was a really fun escape room! Just to be clear, this is not the same thing as the haunted house! The escape room is not scary, at least the one we did. It had a lot of good puzzles, and was overall pretty challenging. We really enjoyed it! It is by appointment only so when we arrived, we were the first one there and therefore it was still locked and nobody was there. But overall a great experience and we would go back!
j.l. squish: Just went here today for the first time and it was a blast.. the staff is nice and friendly and the excape room was awesome.. cant wait to go back and try another room!!
Weasel Brown: It was extremely scary and very trippy, my ears are still ringing from all the loud noises. 10/10 would recommend honestly.
April Harter: Awesome
Jelly May: The best in town
THE PAYTON: It's terrifying.
Tonia Hicks: we were bummed. Kind of janky props and red herrings to waste time. Our game master, a young girl, I don't know her name but she was great.
Bryan Speidel: First escape room for me and My girl is the experienced one, and we made it! Challenging fornthe both of us. Loved the experience. Already making plans to go back.
Danette Angus: Scary and freaky...a bit gross
Thomas Martin: I'm not one to scare easy but that pays made me jump more than once I was impressed
Xenokrates Oskuraz: Went a couple days ago. Was really good, hard to scare me, I enjoyed the reactions of everyone else though. Great acting and performances from everyone. Afterwards learned that 13 had called off, which is completely astonishing because it was worth the money with just who was there.Keep up the fantastic work, hope you guys stay safe, and recommending this place to everyone I know.
Summer Case: We went here as our first date with some friends and had a really good time. The scares were fun.
TS007 BOND: A lot of fun to do with friends
Cody Douglas: Adult night was great
Jaymi Best: Great place and love that they do things for the kiddos for Halloween!
Krista Markley: The wait was the worst part. We waited over 3 hours, however it was really enjoyable once we were inside.
Kerigan Eversman: The line was too long and they didn't offer any beverages to purchase. Not worth a two hour wait in line
Casaundra Huerta: Everyone was so into character that it was awesome, my 2 older boys' first haunted house, and it turned out great!!!!
monster281988: What a great time and the fast pass it well worth it if you dnt wanna wait in the cold for hours
Martine Ortega: The hysterium was quite an experience and I've been to a couple scared centers in my day! The actors did their job very well and the staff was informative and courteous. I even had the opportunity to test their customer service as I purchased a damaged shirt and they were very kind and speedy to replace it for free! I would love to return on the nights they offer the full contact and blackout events! Overall great experience and I will be returning!
Victor Amato: Just took the entire family for a fun night out. Amazing attention to detail, excellent atmosphere, and the haunt actors were perfect in their roles. Some of the props and dressings are pure genius and (not to give it away and spoil your fun) the introduction and outro gimmicks are perfection and set the tone perfectly. We had a great time and it was the perfect balance of horror, attitude, fun, confusion, and effects. Well worth the money; we'll be back.

Tokens-N-Tickets: what do users think?
SAMUEL “Sam” ELTZROTH: 20 Dollars and my child's happy safe and entertained for over an hour money well spent.
krisssybear14: The staff is not very personable, the whole arcade stinks and is way too warm. The bathrooms are dirty and they smell horrid. This place is overall, terrible!
Kimberly Lambright: Took my little sister here for her 7th birthday party 🎉 it was so much fun! The games are amazing and the staff is so friendly!
Ted Tiefel Jr: I cannot believe I let what other people said, keep us away from this place. We came in to celebrate our daughter's 10th birthday and it was great. The pizza is delicious (they make the crust themselves), the games are fun, and when the kiddos run out of tokens they have a bounce house. Even the two teenagers we had tag along with us had fun. Service is above and beyond and the owner is very approachable.
Nicholas Shireu: Very fun
Lisa Maydwell: A great place to entertain the entire family.
Michael PRINCE: First time visit. Grandkids had a blast! They did not want to leave. Daughter & son-in-law like this place better than the others. Have to say I do as well. We will be back.
Ladareius Doughty: Food was great Atmosphere was okay prices was okay just not a lot of games
christina robey: Love it. The big connect 4 game so a blast, pac-man game was amazing.
Amelia Harris: Many games were out of order or did not give the tickets promised. The games that did work were really good. Prizes were ok and the staff was really nice.
Letha H: Not very busy during the day, so the kids were able to play everything. Staff was very friendly.
Coretta Almon: The young adults working here were great. Owners/Adult Staff not do much. How on earth could an establishment servicing kids and serving food be opened with bathrooms out of order! At the minimum after touching all the games and equipment they should be able to wash there hands to eat especially with Covid and general germs. Every person that reserved a party during there plumbing issue should have been called and given the option to cancel or given a discount if they chose to proceed. NEITHER of these where done. The righteous indignation was on 10 and I hope no one in my family uses this place again. The options for restroom use were to go down the strip mall to use the Dollar General or Pizza restaurant bathroom. I took one of the kids to the Dollar General and the clerk let me take her, but I had purchased a table cloth from there earlier. There was however someone else at the counter when my mom and sister went and they were turned away! That clerk comment to another coworker was “why are they sending all there guest down here”. So Yo-yo didn’t even go and ask the other businesses to aide them with there customers while they had a plumbing issue. Very poorly handled all around. Is this even legal!? So unpleased.
Chris Smith: Good place, the games are in better shape than Jungle George's and the prizes are a bit better. The games are also fairly priced, they have concessions and VR as well. Not as fun as Crazy Pinz but not as expensive either.
Terry & Susan Scher: Tons of fun we'll be going again! The price is right!
Joseph Vaccaro: Wonderful place to bring the kids
Brandy Deal: We go for the skee-ball and the virtual bowling. Lots of great prizes for the kids. Never very busy. Good prices for tokens. Service is on point. Convenient pay card to use. No ticket mess. No tokens to drop or lose. Lots of different kinds of games.
Todd Longfield: Great pkace to take the kiddos. Pizza was pretty good also
Tyler Smith: Great place
Froggie Krom: Great for kids with plenty of Raw Thrill style arcade games and redemption machines. Classic skeeball but no classic coin op or pinball. Again, great for kids but not an arcade in the traditional retro sense.
Jed Hullinger: Fun for the kids
Tim Morgan: No toilet paper in either bathroom but good games.
