We Care Counseling Center is a group of private practice counselors who provide services to a variety of individuals. Utilizing our varied expertise, we focus on serving a diverse population with an emphasis on treating each individual with respect. WE CARE is not just our name, it is our style.

Diane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over thirty-five years of counseling experience. She formed WE CARE Counseling Center in 1994. Diane specializes in the areas of depression, anxiety/panic disorders and working with developmentally disabled adults. She also enjoys working with women, couples and the LGBTQ Community. Along with her professional career as a counselor, Diane has served as a coach in the area of women’s athletics for over forty years. She integrates her counseling and sports background to form a therapeutic approach that stresses the connection between physical well-being and emotional health. Diane obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Indiana State University.

Deanna has over twenty years of clinical experience. She specializes in play therapy with children, helping them process the many feelings that have occurred. She works with parents on behavior management techniques as needed. Deanna is proficient in working with adults and teens that suffer grief, depression and anxiety as well as having extensive experience working with survivors of sexual abuse and other trauma. She also is adept at dealing with issues specific to the developmentally delayed. An active member of St Jude’s Parish, Deanna comfortably incorporates spiritual needs and beliefs into the counseling experience. Deanna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work form Indiana University.

Beth Beams comes to We Care with thirty years of experience working with women and children. Beth uses art, inner child work, and other modalities in working to resolve clients’ issues. In her thirty years at the Center for Nonviolence she has focused specifically on families in crisis. As a Nationally Certified Facilitator Trainer for the National Training Project, she has led trainings and retreats at the state and national level. Additionally her extensive travels have led to many overseas opportunities where she has had the priviledge of connecting with others around the globe working on issues confronting women and children. Her work at WE CARE Counseling Center includes both women and men interested in working on themselves and their relationships.

Chariee obtained her Master’s Degree in social work from Indiana University and her Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University. Chariee has a diverse professional background including work as a Family Case Manager for the Indiana Department of Child Services, Noble County, and a Community Based Match Support Specialist for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana. In addition, she worked for Erin’s House for Grieving Children where she facilitated grief support groups which allowed children to grieve in their own unique ways as well as bond with other children in the process. She is continuing to focus on addressing the grief needs of bereaved individuals through compassion, empathy and understanding.

Chariee works diligently to create a safe, non-judgmental environment. In addition, an array of moder such as strength-based therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness and holistic base intervening are utilized to facilitate and encourage healing of the mind, body, and spirit.

Catherine is licensed both as a mental health counselor and clinical addictions counselor in the State of Indiana with over 30 years’ experience working in inpatient, intensive outpatient and outpatient settings. She also has received extensive training in Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), a process new to Fort Wayne. This approach treats both complex and milder traumatic experiences, clearing a myriad of emotions and PTSD symptoms in as little as 1-4 sessions.

Catherine brings to her practice a deep commitment to collaborating with her clients in tapping into their own inner strengths and capacity for healing to produce positive outcomes that improve their lives in tangible ways. She currently works primarily with adults who are seeking to establish long-term recovery from addictive patterns as well as trauma. She uses an integrative and holistic approach in addressing both addiction and mental health concerns.

Outside of her work as a therapist, Catherine serves as a Music Director at Unity Fort Wayne Spiritual Center.
