Spencer Home (Lifeline Youth & Family Services): what do users think?
Chase Taylor: On my soul this place sucks cuzzzz. Would literally take a chocolate double swirl stanky poop in my mac n cheese and eat then ever spend another night here again. Staff are not bussin and I ruled this mufreaker when I was hear ON MY SOUL!
Jacob Pappas: Overall, the staff at this particular location maintained a very empathetic demeanor. Mr. Boggs was beyond amazing, and provided an amazing mentorship, as well as sharing very useful independent living skills. I do wish I could have been accommodated a bit more as far as for my PTSD. I didn’t enjoy my therapist, but I didn’t really give the individual a chance. I had noticed my previous therapist, who the company had provided, was very beneficial to previously received treatment. I was also very comfortable with this individual, so it removed that whole (complicated) barrier for me. Overall, if I would have followed the program, this would have been an amazing stepping stone for me to transition into adulthood, and would highly recommend if your considering your next options, and ready (willing) to adhere to reasonable program rules.
Blake Patterson: Some of the worst! memories of my childhood are well planted at this “facility”. I’m sure it hasn’t changed in 15 years. I’ve let go of a lot of the painful memories, I wish I could erase certain staff from my memory though.
GOOD CITIZEN: I spent a long period of time at Spencer home. Just like everywhere it has its upside and downs. In all the program helped me change and learn how to manage everyday life and situations.
Tucker Raschdorf: Would literally cut my arm off with a pair of safety scissors then ever associate with Lifeline again.
Benito Lesiak: Most of the men there are well behaved and very positive

Lifeline Youth & Family Services: what do users think?
brandi brockwell: Corporate office does not care about displaying somebody's FULL Social security number on their W-2s that they mail out! So much for HIPAA! Identity theft lawsuit waiting to happen! Not a very truthful organization despite allegedly being a Christian organization!
Drew Nemeth: As a person that has experienced this place it has be close to one of the most traumatic things I have been apart of. I would give this place a -100 star if I could. I'd rather SLURP a bowl of Maruchan oriental flavored ramen out of the middle urinal at a marathon gas station then associate with lifeline ever again
Pamela McGruder: I am currently on a search to speak to the owners(not because of serviced i never used them personally) Hopefully this review will land int the right persons lap!
Stacy Handshoe: Worst people ever! Do not trust workers cause you never know when they will change! Not to mention they claim to be Christians but are allowed to lie to you. And they will build a trust and convince you they work for you but don’t forget DCS pays them they will tell all!!
Bryan Russell Thomas: A great place to work!
Cynthia Nix: You only get an idea of what you can get from their website.

Crossroad Child & Family Services: what do users think?
Tiffney Spear: Stay away from here. The only positive feedback I have on this facility is Rhonda. She went above and beyond for my son and was the only person who I could trust let alone the only person to actually care of the child's well-being. Staff are rude, abusive to children, they love to cover up their mistakes. complaining is a dead end. My son was there for a year and pushed him out with no success at all if anything it made things worse. Son managed to run from staff into the wood's multiple times. Do not send your child here it is absolutely horrible it should not even be open!
miranda riggs: Abuse is rampant from staff and teachers at the academy. Staff encourages kids to fight one another in the live-in units. The place should be shut down and criminal charges brought against them. My child never got any of the therapies that they said she would receive and came out traumatized.
Edvina Salihovic: Yikes the reviews are all just telling people beware & to not go here. This place has worse reviews than Allen County Jail.... God bless the unfortunate children who suffer in this facility.
Michigan fan (go blue): I was there for around 3 weeks back in the 90s till the state transferd me to gibualt boys school and I was the happiest kids in the world that they did it I wouldn't send my worst enemy to crossroads it was literally hell there then I went to gibualt and it was night and day how the to places where run even though I was 9 hours away from my house I was glad to be there
Diane: As good as a residential child adolescent center can be I suppose. Deal with staff turn over so that it can get confusing when it feels like you're teaching them the rules. There are instances that an adversarial relationship is created instead of a mutually beneficial relationship for the child among the adults. I have found the lack of addressing certain situations with therapy and keeping information from the parent / guardian not in the best interest of my child, but in the best interest of covering their butt.
Tommy King: I was in this place for 19 hours. I was supposed to go for months but when i got there i was greeted by a prison/psychward style setting. The only place to eat is metal stools bolted into the ground and tables bolted in as well. The "couch" was several plastic chairs filled with sand to weigh it down. The bedroom layout included a large rubber box with a gymnasium mat on top of it. 4 feet away is a plastic stepstool bolted into rhe ground next to a so called desk witch was the same night stand used in most psychwards. Everything was low and the only way to look out the slanted window sill was by standing on the step stool they tell you to use as a chair. Your clothes are kept in a cubby next to everyone elses stuff similar to a grade school. Their were kids who had been living there for months. This is no environment for a child. Most kids were young and some with disabilities. Kids could freely hit and fight with other kids. At night i saw a 11 year old kid get screamed and cursed at while they destroyed his things then locked the door. When my parents demanded to see my room she imediatly picked me up. The food was horrendous as well and contained little nutritional value. Please do not send your children here. They will suffer and learn nothing. Places like this deserve to be outlawed
Gram Cracker (Gram cracker): This place is the worst! Thank god my grandson is out of there. He was physically assaulted several times by other kids and nothing was done about it, he ran away from there several times and told anyone who would listen including the police that he was being mistreated there. Most of his belongings were stolen (a few stained up shirts that didn't even belong to him were in the bag though). Horrible place and hopefully someone will look into how this facility is run.
Katelynn C: I was a child placed at crossroads after my foster family that had me for 2 months felt like I was troubled youth. 75% of the staff that worked there when I was there in 2007ish were very helpful and empathetic. The other 25% not so much. My personal experience there has given me PTSD. Staff are very underpaid for the amount of work that the majority do. The beneficial staff were the staff on the unit and the staff hired as teachers. Anyone else did there job so poorly. This place is definitely run like a low staffed juvenile hall.
Terrance Cassell: Protecting children
Joann Phillips: Great place to work for, doing whatever it takes ,to help children that are in need.
Stef Fuller: Great facility, best residential treatment facility I've seen in Indiana.
Breanna Jones: Crossroad helped me when I was there
Alex Arnett: i was in crossroad for 3 1/2 years and though I had close relationships with some staff , i did not get the help I needed.
keithen lockett: They are adding additions its under construction
Ashley Dingman: I was there for almost 3 years and they helped me and that all they did i mean i had my ups and down but i kept trying to get better
Beautiful African princezz: Good staff
Michael Lianez: They do their best for very difficult situations.
John Gates: I lived there in 1969-70. It was then the fort wayne chrildrens home. I had nothing but good memories and positive things to say...not sure what it has become, we had houseparents at the time watching over us...great people worked there!
linda r broadnax: Great place for kids.
Garry Maldonado: Just driving by I saw the sign in the front. Is there a reason why your guys sign looks like a swastika ? I am hoping this was not thought through very well when it was made. Let's just hope anyway, this really should be removed with different logo though. This place should be investigated just based on there sign...
Lynn XX: .“ emotional help “ no one “ none of the staff .” Help these children. They treat the kids there like there nothing. They take there stuff and though it away. It’s 2018 ok. Kids have problems. But if you say you’re gonna be there to help them. Then tell me why they never helped a kid when they where crying ? They told the child they needed to get there act together. They would insult the child and be very unprofessional. Why did they keep the kids in the classroom while someone was Throwing Desk ? Yes, there are kids there that get mad and destroy the classroom as your child was still in the room and Rarely they would take the class out of the room.Who is gonna get in trouble? The staff takes advantages of the kids. They say there staff in nice but the staff takes there personal ideams. They will hit the kids. Put them in a corner and yell in there face. Crossroads is Supposed to be a place that your kid can look back at and be like "Crossroad changed my life." But no. Crossroad If you wanna help these kids give them something hard to do in class. Try to keep the kids safer, tell your staff that there not all high and mighty because I know that a list of staff have been hurt ( physically ) by the kids there. But the staff fight back and will hurt the kids as well. This facility is supposed to help the kid with there problems with family, life, or the actions. I bet if you were to send everyone of those kids home they would either be the same way they came to crossroad or be worse. The kids fight and staff doesn't stop it. They curse and yell. There are no rules being followed.I say that this is the saddest place I have seen that says " A safe place for your child to get to know them shelf and help them shelf." Like ya'll don't even care about the kids. Don't send your child there. Please respond to this.
