Liberty Mills Apartments: what do users think?
June Williams: The apartment staff are great! My dryer went down and they came that same day to service it. I was impressed at how fast they fixed it.
Gregg Tapp: Very nice I like it
Ghassan Chehab: Professional and friendly
Tzietel Geraldine Perero: I forgot our repairman's name but he did a great job!
Alex Gosselin: Awesome place
Joseph Poynter: The show room had water damage regarding the counter and under the kitchen sink. The color of the wall looked like a smoker lived in that apartment for years (thick off putting cream-ish yellow). If that the best you can do for a show room, I’m not going to risk renting another apartment from you.
Alec Dunham: I love Liberty Mills. Very positive experience since moving in. Staff are very nice and attentive and maintenance is lighting quick. Pretty nice apartments, though they are dated. Only real complaint is the car port situation. Unfortunately the assigned carports are given out on a first come first serve basis. So even though my apartment has its assigned carport, it is being used by someone else smh. You have to join a waitlist for a car port which obviously doesn't change a lot.Other than that, I can't reccomend Libery Mills enough!
michaele hattabaugh: Responded quickly and was done quickly.
Andrea Horsley: Scott was fabulous! Very friendly, accommodating and nice to talk with. Fixed my issue very promptly and efficiently. Thanks again Scott
Laura Johnson: I absolutely love living here!
KeAnna Wilson: I truly do love my apartment, and I've had great experience with the staff. Other than having the worse neighbor ever and then going to a new neighbor with a high energy cat that runs from one end of the apartment to the next at night & super early in the morning. I'm picking my battles cause it's better than the party animal that was up there before.
RANDALL HUNT: Staff & Maintenance are Fantastic
Linda Ehle: Fast response, less than 24hr. Closet light is much brighter.
Steven Fetzer: Lived here 15 plus years always been good to me, they alway been here to fix everything on time.
Legacy Madness: Pretty good, my first apartment was awful with the boiler room exploding and flooding my apartment twice. But my new apartment is good though. Everything is either installed crooked or installed improperly. My toilet is not even bolted to the floor and I didn't realize it 2 months in. Love it
Nina Todd Young: Scott was really great handling our furnace problem. He was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He also was sensitive to our needs of being COVID safe. We greatly appreciate it.
Hayden W: They were quick and efficient to respond to my request completing it within the hour of the request. They also restarted the load of laundry for us after fixing the washer. I appreciate them for doing that :)
Kirsten Matherly: Not worth the rent or hassle. Look elsewhere.
Carol Mincoff: I have lived at Liberty Mills Apartments since 2011. I love how convenient it is to everything. I want to say that Chuck Williams, my maintenance man is absolutely awesome. He always responds in a timely manner and makes sure everything is fixed properly. My husband recently passed away, and Chuck checks in on me regularly to make sure I'm doing okay. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
Nicole Snyder: Very unhappy with liberty mills apartments. We moved my mother in law in and to say we were unhappy was to put it lightly. The landscape is a mess and never maintained well. Weeds were everywhere. The apartment itself upon move in was dirty. The toilet was dirty and the tub had smears of some kind. We had to clean it before she could use it.The bedroom window didn’t open. The carpet had a hole in it. The latch on the living room window was broken and didn’t lock and the door to the back patio was very dirty and looked like something brown was running down the door. The windows hadn’t been cleaned either. We went through the entire apartment and cleaned. The kitchen cabinets we’re herendous. They were cheap vanilla colored cabinets that were so badly stained and the bottoms of the cabinets warping and rotting. They never did fix them and said they couldn’t. Then at move out they wanted $4,000. Rediculous! We will never recommend them to anyone.
Liz Michael: I would like to acknowledge that Chuck Williams with maintenance is great. Whenever I need anything he comes and he helps me with whatever little things I need help with. He is a huge help and I appreciate him so much. He is a wonderful maintenance man.

Bonterra Apartments: what do users think?
Rachel Caruso: The grounds and apartments themselves are beautiful and well-maintained. However, the walls in the buildings are VERY thin. I've lived in several complexes and have never heard this much noise (or smelled as many of my neighbor's meals) as I have in this apartment. I heard my neighbors' parties, barking dogs, music blaring, surround sound TVs, and even their phone calls plain as day on a regular basis. Also, these are definitely some of the most expensive apartments on the north side of town. I understand that everyone has to raise their rent prices right now, but upon calling the office in January about how much I could expect my rent to increase this year, I was told that I was currently being undercharged for my unit and could expect my rent to go up AT LEAST $200 per month if I renewed my lease. That is an absolutely outrageous increase, and as such, it was actually cheaper for me to buy a house in this insane market than to continue renting at Bonterra. I'm now all moved in to my house, but I have to continue to pay my rent for an extra month and a half because the cost for breaking a lease with them is 2x your monthly rent.Overall, while the apartment itself was nice, I had far more issues than I should have had for how expensive it was to live here. I do appreciate Alex in the front office for her hard work to address my concerns over the past year.
Bryan Scott: Great Customer / Vendor RelationshipI have had the pleasure of working with Bonterra apartments for over 3 years now.I can tell you from a Vendor standpoint, that the experience has been excellent. The office and maintenance staff are always professional and courteous.Thank you Bonterra Team for everything you do. Happy Holidays!
Bree Bond: The office staff has always been a pleasure to work with!
Brett Feller: The whole place is really clean and well kept. A bunch of my friends all live there and have us over every now and then. Makes me want to live there. Would highly recommend!
shaleah ellenberger: Beautiful community! The staff is super nice and helpful!
Jordan Dean: Apartments and amenities are kept up with and always sharp looking. Management team is insanely helpful and responsive. Shoutout to Inesa, Alex, and Noelle who happened to be the leasing office staff that we’ve worked with in the past to take care of anything that came up along the way.Grass and landscape is always immaculate, amenities are clean and kept up with (and renovated when lneeded). Maintenance is almost always next day (same day if urgent). The buildings are secured with key-fob access so randoms can’t walk in.Most of the apartments in Fort Wayne are in some state of low maintenance and become a nightmare anytime you have to communicate with maintenance or management. This isn’t one of them.If you are comfortable with spending a little more to get a ton of amenities and quality of life stuff, live here.
Patricia Baidinger: I am moving from Florida to Indiana and I especially like theBonterra Apartments. Unfortunately they did not have the model I wanted at this time. I worked with Noelle who was professional, personable and thorough. She answered every question I asked. I may look again next year when the lease is up on the apartment I chose for the next year. Patricia
Eric Gauger: When I was a guest at Bonterra I really liked how clean the community. The eating area by the pool was super cool with a huge flat screen tv to watch!! Even though I live somewhere I have a great time visiting a friend at that apartment complex. It is also in a quiet area where you don't hear a whole lot of noise which is a huge plus!
David Ross: My Bonterra experience was AWESOME! Great Staff, Easy to work with, and very polite. I will recommend this property to all my friends.
Hannah Garretson: My boyfriend & I have lived here for almost 2 years and have loved both of the floor plans that we have lived in! The community of people is so kind, including the office staff, and the neighborhood is quiet. The apartment qualities are very nice and we have been so happy with our experience!
Brooke Hoyt: Honestly, if you’re looking for a place that makes you feel welcomed the second you walk in the door this is it! I cannot thank the staff enough for being so kind and patient. They have went above and beyond throughout the entire process & made sure I was satisfied! 5/5 ⭐️
Benjamin Lauer: Bonterra is easily one of the nicest apartment complexes I have seen. From the salt water pool, to the club house and the overall setup I couldn’t be more pleased. Inesa was a HUGE help from the start and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Charletta Mitchell: Bonterra, you definitely have a gem working for you! Yes I am referring to Inesa. She is professional, caring and friendly. Thank you Inesa for making me feel a part of the Bonterra family already. My son and I already know we made the right decision!
Sydney King: We worked with Inesa at Bonterra and she was an absolute dream to work with! She was always so kind and accommodating and she really made us feel at home right away. The complex itself is beautiful and very clean. We can’t wait to be a part of this awesome community! I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Taylor James: Our apartment at Bonterra is very nice and as high quality as all of the pictures show. Cannot complain or say enough of how nice the physical apartment is along with the complex as a whole. The reason I give a 3* instead of a 5* is the issues my wife and I have had with property managers. Ranging from being told we would be fined at the beginning of the pandemic for having shoes in the hall. My wife is a nurse and was simply trying to keep us safe as possible from germs. My wife was bullied into paying a fine for our dog’s poop being found “in a pile” but no picture of said pile and nothing truly legally binding in their contract/lease for pets. Unfortunately, my wife agreed to pay out of fear. Lastly among the main 3 highlights of our bad experiences here, we have had many shipping and mailing issues, but the worst being guests to our wedding sending us gifts but accidentally putting just our first name or names on the gift along with the correct address. With normal mail, this is not an issue. For whatever illogical or lazy reason, there was a rule put in place where mail without last names would be sent back to their distributor. My wife and I almost lost a $200 gift because her first name was put on the package and was denied by Bonterra going back to the shipping company. Per the shipping company’s policy, they get rid of any unclaimed package after 2 weeks. Luckily we came at the 13th day. How ridiculous though? The address was correct, and it seems incredibly lazy and rude to not put it in our corresponding box. We pay $1500 roughly to live here. Doesn’t seem much to ask to have basic services. Don’t get me started on the fact that I had to shovel the sidewalks off to just get to work during the winter.Overall, great, high quality apartments, but rather rude and a lack of “customer service” from some, not all, office employees has left a bad taste in our mouths about living here. Less social media posts and more focus on caring for their tenants would make this a 5* place.
Aonyaee: While living here for almost 6 months now, it has come to my attention that Bonterra doesn’t have all of their residents best interests at heart. It’ll seem like management has good intentions on resolving issues, but in the end, excuses get made, run arounds get played and nothing gets handled in a professional, fair-like conduct. I lived in constant agony, while the tenants above me got to make loud, atrocious noises all day everyday. Management of course defended them until I had to go way above their heads to get my voice finally heard. I would not recommend this being a “comfortable, peaceful & fair” environment due to staff not upholding certain agreements to ALL of their residents. And I’m sure the property manager will try to comment in a peaceful like manner. It’s all apart of their job. They truly don’t care.
Doug: The office ladies are the best, very kind and caring!!!
Susan Gauthier: Lovely people. Great community!
Arbi Misserbiev: Bonterra apartments is my new home - has been here for two years and happy with my new residence - fits all my needs as well with friendly neighborhood. Good and fast service from maintenance office. Beautiful pool and pet friendly. Will recommend to anybody this place.
Darrin Lotz: Wonderful Office Staff. They are Helpful and courteous every time I enter the clubhouse!
James Payne: Bonterra Apartments are not only beautiful on the inside and out, the staff and maintenance are truly amazing! The community is quiet and pet friendly. This is truly a wonderful place to reside!

Poplar Ridge Apartments: what do users think?
Tara Munk: I lived here for 8 years and it was great until C.I.M. Living bought the property. Their priority is the company and they could care less about the residents. They increased the rent so high that all of the long term tenants ended up leaving, then they started negotiating rent prices because no one was moving in. Property is very old with poor insulation and mold/mildew issues. They entered my apartment without permission during the vacating process. When I inquired about it they threatened to contact their attorney and hung up the phone on me. My account was charged over $200 when I left. AVOID ALL C.I .M. LIVING PROPERTIES AT ALL COSTS! Find somewhere where they care about the residents.
Liz Watson Store #218: They don't remove snow. Also please note that the property is very dark at night and they don't seem to be interested in replacing the property lights.
Charlene Kaufman: Currently live here and yes they have raised the rent but if you do your homework and research the rent prices are very comparable to what everyone else in Fort Wayne is charging. However I do agree the rent increase was a large amount all at once but people need to realize these apartments were under market for a very long time. It is true there haven't been a lot of upgrades or improvements of recent but you have to have patience and give them time. It is all electric so in the winter the heat is expensive but it is anywhere that is electric. I like living here because of being on the ground floor and the convenience and the location. I will be staying and I just say to everybody else give it a chance.I have done my homework and there is nowhere else I can get a one bedroom like I have right now for the same price.
John Mcpartland: Both worth the money. Signed a 6 month lease under old management Nov. 21 due to transferring for work. New management took over December 21. Place is poorly insulated. One month electric bill was 200 dollars bc the heater was constantly running. Started sleeping in hoodies and 2 blanket to avoid freezing or another high bill. Went to sign another 6 month lease and was told under new management no more 6 month lease and rent was going up to 800 dollars a month for a 12 month or 950 month to month and my apartment wouldn’t be getting and upgraded until I moved out.
Adam Lill: New ownership jacked rent prices by 50%, added water and trash utilities, and are now requiring all residents have renter's insurance. I lived there for 4 years. The low quality and minimal units were worth it when they cost less than $600/month, but new rates combined with utilities easily put a 1 bedroom over $900/month. Zero improvements have been made since the property changed hands. Electric costs are through the roof due to terrible insulation and cheap windows. I literally received a bill for $1 after moving out. After calling the office to ask if they would waive the charge they told me, "No, we can't do that. I would just pay it. It's only a dollar." Talk about greedy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Tamara “Sunshine” Hopkins: Don't waste your time. Smh 😠
Don’t Worry: They have recently raised their prices by over 40% and have done no upgrades to the people that live there. All they do for the new apartments is spray paint everything white and patch the carpets. Windows aren’t sealed properly and constantly allow air out, making my a/c run constantly creating a 250 dollar electric bill for a 1 bed 1 bath. Use to pay 540 and now they upped it to 800 a month for a non updated apartment that has mold problems, bug problems (due to living next to woods). They also tacked on a water bill and making everyone get renters insurance. This place is absolutely not worth 800 a month. Have lived there for 3 years and definitely will be leaving ASAP. Also it’s not me just having these problems I’ve talked to a bunch of other residents that I know and they all say pretty much the same thing. This place is straight ghetto and trying to con people.
Deez Nutts: $885 is the new rent this year for a 1 bedroom apartment. It includes the following: stink bugs and mold in vents due to living next to a forest and they also have outdated heating utility in which spikes up your AEP bill three times the average resident would pay. Between $150-200+ for just electricity. Ask any resident who lives here, they will agree with you whole heartedly on that.
Sidney Berkey: Decent neighbors and decent rent prices.
Scooter Giddy: Over-all not a bad place. Staff was friendly, and maintenance was decent. It's a great location. However...I was disappointed when I moved out. When I moved in, they had put brand new carpet in...so nice. I only lived there 2 years, but the carpet became quickly worn just by me walking on it. Keep in mind it was just me living there, so clearly sub-standard carpet. There were a couple of stains on the carpet, which I tried everything to get out, but to no avail. Clearly, this carpet is so cheap, that it was destined to fail. So, they charged me for the carpet when I moved out, which was garbage, since I took very good care of that apartment. Maintenance had even left me a note one time complimenting on the cleanliness of my place. There are other apartments in the area to choose from that are probably a better choice.
quiet dance: The electric bill is very high in the winter due to poor installation. The vent is inconveniently right infront of the window and makes the heat seep out. I had a one bedroom which is very small for two people, but the rent is cheap. You get what you pay for here. The one plus is that I had quiet neighbors and never had to deal with anyone being noisy and the maintenance guys are very nice and quick to fix things.
J B: My only complaint is in the winter your electric bill is going to be very high. I don't know of its because of bad insulation of what, but last month my electric bill was $269 for 1 month and I'm in a 1 bedroom apartment, and I never had it more than just barely warm. The heat will run non-stop just to keep it barely tolerable, and it's awful on your bill.
Renee Parmley: Great apartments! Maitnance is very on top of things and will drop on by when you need something. Office has fantastic people. Very quiet (besides the firetrucks going off). And for the square footage it is well designed to make you feel as if you had more space. Lots of storage including an attic and hallway closet. The appliances all worked well, the washer and dryer we're basically new and worked wonderfully. Lived here for 3 years and I'd have to say they're the best in Fort Wayne, for price, style (recently remodled), and comfort. Never had a problem. Glad to have lived in such a great community and that my first move out space turned out to be a great choice. I only have 2 complaints, it's not well insulated so you'll be spending an arm and leg to heat and air out the apartment. Also there isnt any extra ammenaties such as a pool etc. But to me that was never a big deal because they make up for it by hosting parties/get together amongst the residents. Great place, would absolutely recommend. 👍
Eric Kehlenbrink: Been a little while since I have lived here but wanted to come back and leave a positive review. Staff is very nice and friendly. I didn't live there long so I didn't have any maintenance issues to report.Biggest thing is that these apartments are a tremendous value. Especially the washer dryer. I have never had a better washer and dryer in a house than the GE appliances they provided here. You don't have a lot of space but the great rate in a city like Fort Wayne this is a great value.
Stephanie Simpson: I lived here for about 18 months and this was my best apartment rental experience ever! The ladies in the office always helped it feel more like home and the maintenance staff was top notch. Thank you!
Laura Hays: I've been living at Poplar Ridge Apartments since the end of June 2010. I moved from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment in March 2011. The complex was purchased by new management end of last summer and watching it be transformed has been amazing. All maintenance work was caught up, roofs fixed, siding redone, everything painted to match, landscaping redone, and the whole complex was repaved. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance is prompt and does a wonderful job. The new management has truly made the complex feel like an inclusive community, someplace I enjoy living and plan to stay for as long as I reside in Fort Wayne.

Canal Flats: what do users think?
Reena Mary: I highly recommend talking with Phillip Meek if you're looking to move to Canal Flats. He was very informative over the phone and professional.
Nick's Life on a Budget: Very nice neighborhood
Stephanie Savas: We never had the chance to move in, so I can't speak much to the quality of the units, but my boyfriend and I were eagerly hunting housing in the area after a sudden job change. We drove across the country for our interviews and stopped by the office early on a Wednesday afternoon. No one was there. We called, left messages, emailed, and sent a message on Facebook all but begging someone to get back to us as we needed to make plans ASAP. It's been about two weeks since first contact and no one has *ever* gotten back to us through any avenue and I am just so shocked at how unprofessional that is, especially after bragging about your quality in your recorded office message.Maybe it's nice to live here, but good luck getting in.
Miranda Zimmerman: I have been a resident at Canal Flats for two years. The employees are nothing but amazing! Ben, in maintenance, has always been kind and respectful! The Maintenance team has always gone above and beyond for us in every situation.
Diane Reiber: I have nothing but great things to say about Canal Flats. Cassandra in particular has been pivotal with my daughters decision to move here. Her positive disposition and helpfulness is exactly why she is here. From updating us with availability and giving us tours and all the pertinent, honest information she needed made her move seamless. Everything we were told about Canal Flats has been true. Between Cassandra and Greg the manager who was equally helpful and offered insightful advice with her move here, we are grateful. My daughter has been here for 2 weeks and has only positive things to say. Truly grateful for all the help and wonderful accommodations.
Adrian Echeverria: Greg (manager), Ben (staff) and the rest of the staff are so timely in their response to the requests we make for the apartments including fixing the sink, replacing light ulbs, etc. what a great group of people to have!
Christos DeVaris: So far, so great! Our family located here from out of state a month ago, and had to rent a place sight-unseen. We feel very lucky to have found Canal Flats. Cassandra has been amazing and made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free. She helped us before the move by giving us a lengthy video tour of the grounds and apartments, and making the paperwork easy and clear. She welcomed us and made us feel right at home and is always cheerful and goes above and beyond what is expected. Cassandra and Canal Flats have provided a great welcome to Fort Wayne.
Abby Fulton: Cassandra was so sweet and helpful with the move in process. The atmosphere inside and out is quiet and well maintained. The pool is a really nice bonus! Great place to live :)
Ryan Eckert: Really nice apartments. Quiet atmosphere. The staff is amazing.Cassandra helped me get set up with everything I needed. Friendly, professional, courtesy and hospitable. Ben, from maintenance, was just as great. I cannot say enough about the staff at Canal Flats and another reason why I wanted to live here.
Alexandria Stanfield: My husband and I toured with Cassandra on Saturday. They didn’t have an available apartment to tour but Cassandra showed us around the property and the amenities. She went above and beyond! We can’t wait for canal flats to have an availability! The property is beautiful and the views of the marsh are too!
Caleb Saylor-Hicks: I visited canal flats for a tour last week and Cassandra was our tour guide. I must say it was refreshing to have someone so knowledgeable about the properties and with such a bright personality! Will definitely be moving here when our lease is up in December!
Debbie Bradfield: I had questions and chatted with Cassandra she was very informative nice
Ashley Reagan: We have lived here for a few months now and we love it! Greg and Ben have gone above and beyond to make us feel at home here! Had to go out of town but noticed our AC wasn’t working correctly. Ben was able to fix it while we were gone and it was so nice to come back to treats for our pups!
Dylan Park: Amazing staff always there when I needed help.
Paul Jernigan: I have part of the Canal Flats family for over 3 years. I have always been able to get help from the manager and staff when needed. The manager seems to go out of his way to help where needed puts in long hours to make the community successful .
Britanie Jernigan: The manager is very professional.
Paul Current: do you have a sitemap with building numbers? Thanks for the site map that I got today!
Billy Finger: My wife and I lived here for around 18 months and it’s easily the best place we’ve ever rented. The management team is extremely professional. Greg goes above and beyond for any request you’ll have. The apartment itself was spotless when we moved in and the appliances were brand new. I think in our 18 months we’ve only sent in one maintenance request and they handled it promptly. If you’re looking for an apartment in Fort Wayne, this is the place you want to live!
leslie kizziar: We loved living at Canal Flats and Greg, the property manager, is incredible. Best apartments in Fort Wayne!
c wright: We had our first maintenance issue last week. Hot water heater wasn’t working properly. Ben fixed it promptly, left us a nice note and mints! Very impressed!!!
Tajinder kaur: The outside appearance of apartments is good but Trust me that these apartments are not at all soundproof. I stayed here for few days at my friends place. You will hear each and everything day and night. The worst part is that you will not be able to sleep. You will wake up 3-4 times at least during night time which would likely make you sleep deprived. Would not recommend anyone.
