Ian S: I rarely post reviews but after experience with Freedom H&C I had too. After the great storm of June 2022 took out my power it also killed my thermostat. Great right?! Had to be on the first few days of summer with 90+ degree temps. Have what I thought was a call to JF Miller who installed all my HVAC when the house was built less than 3 years ago and Freedom answered. Hmm they must have bought out JF Miller. Was able to get an appointment for the same day. Phil from Freedom H&C was polite, professional, and to the point on his diagnoses. From there he gave us several options in a variety of price ranges, explained the pros and cons, and made a recommendation on what he would use in his own home. There was no pressure and he made every effort to make sure I had no questions. Once we picked our option he got to work and got us fixed up.This was hands down the smoothest experience I've had on a home repair.

I had an appointment for them to come out and give me a quote on some home repairs on September 30, 2022. My appointment was between 12 PM and 4 PM. No one ever called, text, or even bothered to show up. Terrible first impression!! So I called them around 12:30 PM and she promised I would be getting a call in 10 minutes. No one ever called. Terrible!! I have decided to take my business elsewhere.

Sonya Hathaway: They removed a load bearing wall, redirecting hvac to feed upstairs but the heat and ac doesn’t come upstairs. They’ve been out 2-3 (I’ve lost count) times to fix it, and they’re coming today to look at it. When they fix the problem I will revise my review for hvac. Problem #2 my hot water heater died, they replaced it with a tankless and a water softener. I needed to upgrade my electrical panel to carry the load of the softener. After installing the panel, it took 2 months for them to install the softener. I like the softener hate the water heater. I have to wait 3-4 minutes for hot water.(1st world problem) if anyone uses hot water when I’m showering I get a blast of cold until the other water source is turned off. When they fix it I will revise my review Problem #3 I asked for new garage door panels but they replaced all of the new lift components I just had installed 3 months prior! This review will remain up because the problem cannot be corrected. They haven’t been out to finish electrical. They’re supposed to do my windows but I can’t get an update. I’ve called and texted several times and I get no reply or a reply stating someone will call me but it’s been 2 months! Also and probably most important, I smell gas in my kitchen and family room. I haven’t told them about that because I’m afraid to let them work on anything else! *****update*****I HAVE CONTACTED THEM SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY HAVEN’T MADE ADEQUATE REPAIRS. WE STILL SMELL GAS WHENEVER WE USE WATER. WE STILL HAVE TO WAIT 3 MINUTES FOR HOT WATER. THEY MADE US PAY 100% BEFORE THEY BEGAN THE WORK SO WE DON’T OWE THEM ANYTHING, AND WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE WATER ISSUE TO TERAN, HE ASKED IF WE WANTED TO GET NEW PIPES THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET EVEN MORE MONEY OUT OF US. We talked about several things that I needed to have done. The original estimate was reasonable. He told me he would send it to my email. I NEVER received it. I called and was told by the receptionist, she would "get on him about it". TWO MONTHS LATER still nothing.Side note - I am on fixed income and was willing to pay. However, I will NEVER PREPAY for ANY service rendered. Same day AFTER service is done is reasonable.
