Elliott McCrory: This is a solid, straightforward layout. There is essentially no trouble aside from OB. This course has been here for a while, so the old trees are wonderful. There is an ancient oak tree overhanging the left side 4th green (along with a grove of younger trees asking the right), which makes hitting this par 5 in 2 all but impossible except for the most skilled players. (I'm not sure if I've ever gotten a GIR on this hole!)Foster Park is quite pretty. There are paved public trails that surround the course, and there always seem to be people on them. (They'll even occasionally yell out, "good shot.")Be aware that plans to completely revamp this course were released in September 2022. They are supposed to be adding some ponds - this course needs some ponds because (1) there are none in this layout, and (2) drainage can be a troublesome deficiency (usually no carts allowed for days after a serious rainfall). As far as I know, the construction plans/schedule have not been released.

Mini Mini: For paying upwards of $40 compared to other courses this place was not that well maintained, the majority of times i’ve played their the grass was not mowed and it was terrible to find balls if you put it near the rough. go to mcmillen and pay less than 20 for 18 you’ll have a much better time.

Rick King: Shoaff is a great and challenging Par 3 18 hole course. 4 holes at 200 + make it a challenge for all levels. Driving range is the best in Fort Wayne. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great for young ones to learn but not advised on weekends as they are very busy.

Johnnie B: 11-1-22 golf course in great shape. however i began at 3:55 PM, the 2 men in the pro shop said they wanted the cart back by 5:30 PM. when i finished the front nine one of the men said I had to give the cart back and it wasn't even 4:50! I protested and he stated he was told to close the course. I walked the rest of the course and finished by 5:42. Both men were still in the clubhouse. If i was able to use the cart I would have been done prior to 5:30!!!! i was flabbergasted by thier behavior. be cautious at twilight with these 2 men!!!!????

Elliott McCrory: This is a fabulous place to practice golf. 18 par 3 holes - about half of then are quite challenging and the other half are nice. The shortest is around 100 yards, and the longest is 220 yards. There are NO artificial tee boxes - all are real grass. They also have a great driving range, a chipping area and a practice green.

Bill Finch: I recently went to Shoaff park to use their driving range. It was well taken care of and the prices are a great value for how many balls are in the buckets! They were huge for only 7.00 for the large!

Laura Richcreek: I have never golfed before but did this past Sunday on the Par 3 course. It was a fun challenge (besides being a novice) and we had a really nice time . . . until the cashier who had been at the shop drove out to where we were on the 9th hole, having just finished hitting the last ball, at about 7:45 to say, "we need the cart back." It was disconcerting because we had just finished and would have brought the cart back within a few minutes. We mentioned we had just finished and as he drove away, he said, "well, you've been out here a long time." We had been there about two hours--I am learning and my partner was teaching me but it was still 45 minutes before they close and still bright daylight. It was disappointing to have enjoyed all that time only to have someone admonish us like children who didn't pick up their toys on time. That's why I dropped off a couple stars for my rating. They still get a good rating, but I hope we experience a little more politeness and patience the next time.

Scott Sherman: The best greens in Fort Wayne! Amongst golfers in the area it’s a hotly debated topic but I feel they are simply the best. Fast and true and challenging. Great variety of holes playing along the River. This course will challenge your skills! Relaxed atmosphere as you will find the everyday golfers as well as the great players. One of my favorites in the area!!
Anthony Jones: The course is great but the long waits to tee off. We got there early so we could practice on the greens and there was 13 in front of us in 1 group that's horrible. This golf course is ridiculous they make sly remarks like is that slang for something when I simply asked do u have any snack cakes and the people who were in front of us were slow and wouldn't let us pass even tho it was just 2 of us compared to 4 of them but I will never golf here again.
matt lichti: Have golfed here a few times this last experience terrible. Was only trying to play 9 since it was so nice out this weekend. We were not playing particularly fast or slow just a normal pace for 2 people. Pulled up to hole 8 and there were 8-10 carts sitting at the 8th tee. I have never seen anything like that before. After waiting for about 20 minutes the group ahead of us left and we decided to wait a bit to see. After waiting a total of 30 minutes we still were not able to tee off and decided to just not play the last two holes. Went into the club house after to ask if there was a tournament and they guy said there was not. Explained what was happening and the guy just stood there and didn’t say a word. Extremely disappointed and just unacceptable that they did not send out someone to help the play move along but they did not seem to care at all. I will not be going back due how they reacted to the issue and do not recommend anyone else to go back since they can not manage play or care about it at all.

Derek Smith: Great experience here. First, the older gentleman taking tee times and working in the pro shop was very personable and hilarious, straight shooter. As a golfer, he understands how to keep the course flowing and made sure any 2somes or singles were aware of pace of play, and that they would not be permitted to play through (35+ foursomes going off in the AM)As far as the course, it was very challenging and long, but playable. Greens were fast with a lot of slope, and you had to take care to play the hole as opposed to just bombing and gouging. Excellent condition, overall a wonderful time.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that plays left handed, as all of the out-of-bounds are on the left. Nobody could pay me to waste another afternoon at Donald Ross Golf Club.

Andreas Lohmar: We had kind of forgotten about this gem in the middle of Fort Wayne. The course was in very nice shape and at a very reasonable price! The greens were in excellent shape and we wondered why the course was not busier. The course seems to be the best kept secret. Don't let the year go by without playing here!

Austin Butler: I golf here a lot because some good work buddies live here. Hardest course in Fort Wayne. Sand banks are trashed, rough is a jungle, greens are slower than a Prius. Lose more balls here than a 2 year old with a 10lbs bag of marbles. Good luck.
Seth Rowland: Played the front 9. Nice course. I've seen some reviews criticizing the rough, and it does make finding balls quite difficult because of the length of the grass. I wish the bunkers had sand in them. Other than that I have no complaints.

Jacob Ripperger: 29$ for 9 holes at a par 3 course is a little crazy. No sand in most bunkers. Greens haven’t been mowed in a while none of our group could hit it hard enough. Go play most courses for under 29$ for just 9.
Teresa O'Connell: This is a review for the actual apartments at Canterbury Green, not the Golf Course as stated above. I came here from out of state & was hoping the transition would be easier than it ended up being. I do have to say that everyone is slowly but surely getting on board & getting things done, unlike our very 1st night we got here which wasn’t anything like I was told it would be. It was really disappointing because you may dot your i’s & cross your t’s but it doesn’t necessarily mean other people do too. All of it could’ve been avoided though & that is what I didn’t like about the initial move in experience. The people have all been very nice including the maintenance workers & office staff, etc. My kitchen faucet handles are backwards which makes it awkward to turn them on, or off & then I use an unnecessary amount of water because of it. The furnace filter has got to be just jammed pack full of dust, lint & old pet hair, since it blows all around the entire apartment when the furnace blower is on. I’ve asked for those things to be done too but I am still waiting…I am looking forward to all the amenities & have tried out the tanning bed once & they had new bulbs in it! The work out area is absolutely gorgeous & I believe is newer! The office & club house all seem very nice & you can rent out the party/meeting rooms to accommodate parties & gatherings. I do love my carport, and I’m so glad I got it with my apartment! Looking forward to pool time, & golf when weather gets warmer!

Cassia Richardson: If you’re considering using ORCC for your wedding/reception, do it!!!We had our reception there several weeks ago and it was beautiful! The food was amazing, the space is beautiful and all for a price that you can afford! Some places are just out right ridiculous in what they charge…ORCC is very friendly and accommodating with multiple packages to choose from to best suit your needs/budget. The quality you get for even the low end packages is high quality!Tricia is great to work with, even if you have hundreds of questions, dumb questions or repetitive because you worry about the little things. :pVery happy with our experience and would highly recommend them to anyone!!!

Elliott McCrory: I'd call this a really good municipal golf course. No par 5 holes, but several 350+ yard of at 4s. Greens are average to good.
Eric Booker: This is also the site for the 2018 Polling Place. At that time it only had three Voting Booths. I had to wait 30 (thirty) minutes to 40 (forty) minutes to Vote.Since 2018, the polling place for our district has changed back and forth from this location to the youth center on the other side of McMillen Park.However the McMillen Golf Course is located at 3900 Hessen Cassel Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46806. It seems to be a great place to golf with lots of people.

Jonathan Lemmon: McMillen is a beautiful course that isn’t too difficult. The staff inside the clubhouse is friendly and informative. I was out while they were mowing and the people on mowers stopped while you were taking your swing.The only issue I had was that one of the workers drove his cart in front of me while I was about to swing, so that threw off my concentration and I didn’t do too well on that hole. Three holes later, that same worker is under a tree talking loudly on the phone. He was in the path of where I was swinging, so I had to accommodate and added an extra shot to the hole.Other than that, I had a fantastic time here. Will be back.

keith thieme: Really like the place, played on foot with no cart. Kind of have to move hurriedly, however the golf grounds are lovely and modest. Played 63 holes this year, hadn't played since about 1988-89. Hit a 155 yd tee shot on #8 into the cup, hole in one, 8 of 9 holes.
Cliff G: Course had a lot of standing water on the front nine, but overall was in decent shape.

Kham Kenchanh: The place has a full range of practice facilities that has a driving area, chipping, and two good size putting greens near 1st and 10th holes. The course is short but has a very challenging fairways and greens, especially, on the front nine. Very tight fairways lined with trees on both sides which required precision drives and club selections. Greens are very tricky to read. Back nine is more forgiving on most holes. I would suggest a golfer with all skill levels to try this course if they get a chance to visit our beautiful city. It has a very reasonable price and it has had many great golfers that i know scratched their head after they are done with their round 😃. Happy Golfing!

Lilly: The COUNTRY CLUB pool is horrible.Almost every single year (we have been members here for eight years) and especially these past several years the heater had been broken. They have had this same heater for 50+ years and every summer they have a “part” that needs to get fixed, but it never gets totally fixed. Last year the pool heater got “fixed” towards the beginning of July, but the pool was still cold for the rest of the summer. Little kids tend to be able to withstand swimming in the cold water but these past few summers, they don’t even want to swim. We haven’t even been to the pool the summer because we don’t want to freeze in the COUNTRY CLUB pool. This is a country club pool, not some random city pool, we pay several hundreds of dollars a month to be members to this country club pool and we should not be having to stay home because of a broken heater. Next year we will be canceling our membership because of this and if it isn’t fixed, we certainly will cancel our membership. We have talked to many other members and they are sick of this too. This is supposed to be a fun family activity, but it has turned out to be everything but that. Pine Valley Country Club advertises that the pool is heated, but obviously that is not true.Pine Valley does not need to be getting new parts because we all know that they don’t work, they need to replace this heater and get a whole new one. Now because of this, I DO NOT recommend joining the pine valley country club pool membership.
