Midwest Shooting Center: what do users think?
Ema Hamidovic: My cousins from Germany were really excited to go shooting for the first time while visiting America. The staff informed them that they could only go shooting in pairs and since one of them was only 17 a legal guardian would need to be present. The older cousin was 20 years old and had documentation from their parents that while they were traveling he was the legal guardian of the 17 year old. The staff initially told them this document would be sufficient and they would be allowed to go shooting if they brought it back. When they did they were denied again with no real explanation. Extremely poor customer service! Was hoping to get into practice shooting more myself but will definitely not be doing it here nor do I recommend this facility to anyone looking to go shooting in Fort Wayne. Very disappointing!
Jeremy Denton: This place has it all. You can buy, rent, and even order guns through here. Its a new place so everything is up to date and clean. I brought a few guns and rented a few. Would definitely recommend this place.
Josh Accardo: Very large/spacious and comfortable.Great customer service.Awesome staff and clean range
Chad Stewart: I can’t wait to go back and burn through some ammunition!!!
Adam Rhein: I wish there was a negative rating. This is the WORST store out of the dozens of gun shops I've ever been to. They must have a weekly contest to see who can give the most awful service. It starts with the"not my job" while you're left standing, then it turns to "I don't know". There's better service from the VA. Do not waste your time or money. The fact that negative reviews aren't addressed should show you how the value customers. This is response to initial their response;I tried calling to speak to someone and was sent to voicemail........3 times. Case in point.
Ricky: Great to go shooting and to buy firearms I highly recommend going. Membership comes with free transfers and early access to ammunition.
Michael Files: Love this place
Christopher Gates: I only been to pick up a gun I got from a different online store but would like to go to the range this weekend and check it out but the way the reviews looking about the membership I may have to go a few times before I think about getting one
Andrew Norris: I had an issue which led to me being bit of an annoying customer. John took ownership of my problem and quickly got it resolved, and Cole was patient with me during the several phone calls I made to the store.
Kase James: FWIW I delayed the pickup 3 days due to an error on my ID. So I only waited ~50 days longer than expected. So two stars seems appropriate.Update 2/14/23: On the two month anniversary of ordering, I have now been able to come in store and pick up my firearm. Waited in store while getting background check - note even said call Jon or Nate on the case of my gun. I was there maybe an hour, however they seemed to be busy with a meeting. I did receive a call wanting to make things right, which I appreciate. Just haven't been able to get in touch to follow up on that.Went in store on 02/07 - same day I received a call that it was in stock. Called back to speak with Jon and didn't get an answer. Next day the comment on my review was made by Midwest. When calling, you may consider leaving an extension to reach you at since the main line seems to be unavailable fairly frequently.Update: Still absolutely nothing back from MidwestHave enjoyed the store itself, the range is great and the staff seem friendly. However if you are looking to buy a gun that isn't currently sitting in a display case just steer clear. Ordered my gun on Dec. 14th and haven't seen or heard anything yet though site says 7-10 days. When I've called I have got the same exact answer every time of "Oh there's a lot of boxes here I don't see it, we'll call you when it's here" I understand holiday rushes happen but when you can't get the job done you probably shouldn't be the one doing it.
Margaret Swift: Love this place! Fiance and I go just about every sunday and it is always clean and staff are awesome. I love being a member here! Just did their Romance on the range date night and it was so much fun!Highly recommend!
Cayli Hart: They make it impossible to cancel your membership without paying hundreds of dollars to get out of it. It's a 2-year contract that they don't explain when you sign up. They are not transparent and scam you. This is an edit to the reply below. My husband is a member. He has called several times and no one seems to be in the office and if they are we just get told to talk to their out side service which just tells us either you keep the monthly payment of pay over $400 to cancel it. We were then told this is an automatic renewal contract so it would be renewed after the 2 years without a notice. Which is what keeps you trapped. It’s shady ancient business tactic. You can reach out to my husband Tanner Hart and rectify the situation. Until then my review will stay.
Anna Ruiz: I wish I could give 0 stars. The staff themselves and the shooting center itself is okay. However, it has almost been an ENTIRE year since I cancelled my membership and I am still receiving charges. DON'T SIGN UP unless you want to be charged every month after you cancel your subscription.
Dan Wagers: Haven’t used the range yet, but the store is top notch! They have everything and it is priced right.
Mark Cobb: Nice place to look at a big variety and price is reasonable
Margaret Gillespie: I just finished my 6 month gun training at Midwest Shooting range. There were many choices of times to be trained so it was very convenient to find a time that worked for me.My trainer James was very knowledgeable on all varieties of guns and equipment and when asked he help me pick the right equipment for my gun. He was very calm and patient teaching me even with my lack of experience. I walked away from training with confidence in handing and shooting my gun which was my goal taking these classes. I would highly recommend James and what I saw first hand you couldn't go wrong with any of Midwest trainers. Thank you James your the best!
Zayden Kai: A++ service, professional staffs
Backwoods1010 Backwoods1010: Amazing and knowledgeable staff. They answered all my questions and gave me lots of advice!
DjUnLtDeSt1977: Best place in town to go practicing your stance, grip, focus, speed and aim.
Kelly Hendricks: The training team here is wonderful. Jason is very knowledgeable and helped us all the way. Everyone is very nice and friendly that works there. We enjoy ourselves every time we go in.
James Bergdoll: I love this place, I usually don't have to wait very long and membership is very reasonably priced.

Targetmaster Indoor Shooting: what do users think?
Drew Curlin: I took my daughter to the range for some family fun time. The staff were friendly, the range was clean, and I found it to be a great value. Would definitely recommend.
Alex Schroeder: ❤️
Ryan Zimmerman: Never used the range but I love the store had to leave a review because I smell the gunpowder from furniture row and it made me happy had to figure out where it came from and I guess this is it
John Jacobson: Phone number is not in service, business may be closed.
Jeremy Eldridge: Staff was friendly, range was not claustrophobic, and was adequately ventilated. No complaints.
Maha Aoude: Walked in there and gun kept on not working. I called the guy to come take a look at it 5x. After being there for 13 minutes we decided to leave because we couldn’t enjoy our time because the gun he gave us wasn’t working and he refused to change it out. I was so disappointed because I spent so much money in there and the guy was of no help. He didn’t even care we were leaving so soon. I would never EVER do business with them again. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
David Girard: Very nice range well lit & ventilation a little pricey

Gabriel Tippmann: Wonderful location. Very aesthetically pleasing. Great parking lot with several yellow lines. Building is a beautiful beige color, almost like a coral reef. Very impressive fence. Rare and beautiful trees in the rear of property. 10/10. Would recommend as a wedding location.

Hillside Shooting Sports - Outdoor Range: what do users think?
Tom Taylor: Went 3 times this year for pheasant hunt. 1st time ok. 2nd time a reservation and asked about bird prices. Told $25 a bird which is what the website said. Got there and charged $27.50 a bird. Not pleased but already there. I have a young dog and wanted 1 more hunt. Called a week ahead and was told they still had pheasant , made reservation for next week. Got there after a long drive and was told they had no birds left. Planted them all over the weekend. Said there should be birds left if I wanted to go out and then pay any got. Went out and found 3 dead birds and a lot of feathers and shot shells. Went in and voiced my displeasure and was told they tried to call 3 times. Never left voice mail and they don`t text. Said VM did not allow message. Liars. Checked phone . 1 call and voice mail works fine. Said they dont reserve birds. What? Then why reserve a hunt. Said I had been there multiple times and may not come back. Told to my face . Dont need you we have plenty of hunters.
Bouncy HouseParty: My dad and I hunt pheasant here from time to time. They have a real nice place. Good grass and their birds have always been really good flyers, I'd almost say they fly as well as wild birds out west. Thanks Hillside! Keep it up!
Steve Blakey: Hillside is awesome. The whole family loved it! Knowledgeable staff helped us through the process. A very clean/safe environment. And FUN!
Lucy Blakey: Went with family for my first time at a shooting range. Everyone had fun and I learned so much! The staff was friendly, super knowledgeable with zero pushiness, supportive, and I felt totally safe at every step in every part of the facility. Looking forward to our next time there!
12bravo Sapper: no discount for veterans really!!!!! and the owners daughter is in the military!!!! or was !!!!
Gene Desonia: Indoor range is very nice, you don’t feel boxed in, and don’t have a Range master hovering over you. Almost as if your shooting outdoors. The outdoor range is also very nice, there’s different steel objects to shoot at if you don’t want to bring targets, but you can also bring targets and shoot. The rifle side goes all the way out to 1,000 yards for those long distance shots and as close as 25 yards. The rifle side also has steak plates to hit at all distances and they have a Range master on site for outdoors that can help you in sighting in rifles at any distance watching with binoculars to accurately help you out! Just a great place and knowledgeable staff!
Łina Pineda: It’s a very nice place but one of their staff members racially profiled the group of people that I was with and I will never come back.
Brian Damerell: Very nice range for someone that is serious about shooting.
Gregory Schambers: I love this place.
Jon Bao: We drove 3 hrs from Chicago to try the .50 bmg lol, it was AMAZING. People here are friendly and helpful
Shane Hopkins: Quality, good customer service, nice facilities and fair prices. We will return for future purchases.
Deb Lamkin: I love it there. They are really great people. I recommend taking a class or two. Very knowledgeable.
Tara Lehman: This range is extremely nice. The facility is well kept and makes you feel incredibly safe and comfortable. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Ron Oberley: Love the indoor range and great friendly staff
Darlene Evans: Everyone was so nice. It was a very pleasnat experience. Great customer service and the range was so nice.
Benita Kyle: Great place! And I learned so much. Hunter was a great teacher. Can’t wait to go back next week.
Seth Peterson: These guys charge $20 to shoot at their outdoor range and didn’t tell us the steel target bay was closed because of puddles. Then their range officer gave me some attitude about shooting a FX9 pistol(looks like a rifle, but it’s not) at the pistol range. When I tried to explain that it’s classified as a pistol he responds with “I don’t care what it is! Move down to the rifle range!” If I did something wrong, I’d gladly move to another spot, but I guess you pay extra for the attitude. Roush outdoor range is $4 and no attitudes! I’ll go there from now on.
Stew Ruckman: This place has it all for hunters and shooters novice to expert level marksmen / women. Love to see the ladies exercising their rights as American citizens. They offer training classes, gunsmithing, indoor and outdoor target ranges, Trap and Skeet shooting, Hunting, a gun shop an archery shop and shooting lane for compound and compound crossbows. A Highly trained friendly staff to help with all these offerings. You really can't go wrong here.
Lee Mills: First outdoor range I've been to. Now I go all the time. Great staff and facility. Keep up the great work.
Tom E: This place was a ghost town when I arrived, the place looked like it's been deserted for a while. Not sure what was going on. Is this address wrong?
Disgruntled Marine: Fantastic spot for making sure your firearms are gonna hit paper, they have a 50m, 100m, & 200m public lines, and up to 1,000m if you become a member of thier club

Hillside Shooting Sports: what do users think?
Practice Practice: A great range and good people who run it.I will go here for life.
Terry Paul: Chris is fantastic. Took the wife there on her birthday this past January for her birthday. The VIP class is very thorough and worthwhile. What an amazing place that made us feel right at home!
Steve Blakey: Hillside is awesome. The whole family loved it. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, clean/safe environment. and FUN!
Ellie C: Hillside hosts The Well Armed Woman every third Thurs evening. It has helped me to be familiar and comfortable with my gun. Chris and Alysha are great teachers!
aki sands: Range is okay. Staff were pretty indifferent if not rude. First time coming here and it's a little confusing trying to get access to the range. You have to go to another location (very close but still a drive) to get a guest badge to get into the range. The best part about this place is they have the cutest dog working in the range check in. I probably won't be coming back anytime soon as there are definitely better places to shoot in the area.
Tanner “Cornfed” Miller: Best range and store around. Been going here for the better part of 15 yrs
Unknown Tucker: Probably one of the nicest shops/ranges in state at the very least. Chris (manager) was a great guy to talk to, answered my questions clearly, and even took the time to show me around the ranges. Had no idea that they had a 1000 yard range here. Sure prices are high, but that's a sign of the times not their fault. Bought a box of ammo and a lower and couldn't be happier. Shop with confidence.
Anthony Overby: First thing I noticed when I walked in was a big Trump sign. Then as I looked around they sold Trump masks and holsters and the flag that they used to show the range was hot was a Trump flag. It made me feel very uncomfortable. While I am a firm believer that people are entitled to their own beliefs and opinions I feel like a business should provide services and stay out of politics. The shop was very nice. It was clean and the outdoor range was great. There we rules in place to make sure everyone was safe. I was not treated unfairly and I didn't have any issues I just felt they were trying really really hard to push their personal beliefs on me and for that reason I will not be returning it's a shame because it was a nice range.
Chris Connelly: Excellent place to shoot. Several steel targets for pistol and range officers on site.
Wes: Decent Archery Range, but $15 is a bit much to me for an hour or two of shooting. I don’t need a whole day, an hour or two is all.
Jeremy Eldridge: Non member review:First time to the range. Range is very clean. We visited the outdoor rifle range. For non-members they have 50 (?) - 200 yard ranges. There are old paper targets set up along with several steel options ranging from full size silhouette to small gopher size, with a few different gong sizes in between at the 200 range. You can of course ask for a cease fire and place your own paper; they have a gator to cut down on walking time.It was nice to see at least 1 full time RSO present. The RSO we dealt with was friendly and safe. There is an outdoor pistol range as well as a shotgun range. I'd definitely come back, and would place membership if I lived closer.
Matt Yager: Awesome experience, great people, very helpful, safe and fun environment.
Ryan Conley: Great indoor range. I have had nothing but friendly and helpful people help me here. Looking forward to trying out the outdoor range in the spring.
Andrew Marlin: Was just there. Apparently they enjoy closing off the firearms section 45 minutes earlier than what's posted.
Lee Mills: Great staff. Very helpful.
Joe Campbell: Niece set up and good range with good technology, however the experience isn’t great. I have gone a few times and always seem like they are annoyed to help you and are pre accupied. Most recent time the guy behind the counter was on his phone and then when I approached for help, he was short and sarcastic. Another thing is that they don’t allow aluminum ammo, which is fine, but they don’t have it posted anywhere. So wasted $25 to shoot 20 rounds before they told me and all I brought was aluminum cased ammo. Over all there are better places to go with better experiences
Jim Bassett: A Great place to do your shooting! Very knowledgeable staff,a great indoor and outdoor range. A well stocked store. All of the people there are very friendly.
Val Jegorovs: This place is super friendly, attention to a customers is top. I have visited this place with my friend from Germany which has never shot a gun in his live. And he left this place smiling from one ear to the other. Big thank you to our instructor Bob, thank you sir you made our day!!!!!!!
Kathryn Cargill: Pleasant discovery, after our original destination was closed. Beautiful remote location , excellent staff. Friendly and accommodating. First time for me, shooting at steel targets. Loved it. I highly recommend this place. And we will definitely visit again. They have options for any type of target practice, indoor and out.
Michael Yolch: The BEST range and store I’ve ever been to in several states. Extremely knowledgeable and very friendly staff. Excellent selection with very fair pricing. The range itself is top notch. I can’t wait to go back!
Chris Moses: Best range around. Always a fun time
