Sweet Aviation: what do users think?
Raj Shukla: Got my father a discovery flight for his 60th birthday. He's a former pilot but hadn't flown in decades. The staff at SA were very kind and helpful. They really helped make his gift a truly special experience.
Joseph Lefevra: Best experience i have ever had a surprise anniversary dinner planed for wife in indy at ricks boat yard. Rachel and pilot Andrew awesome I will recommend flying again with them they made all arrangements was easy thanks again to sweet aviation
Réna Bradley: My discovery flight with Josh was an amazing experience. The facility was modern and clean and Josh was patient and encouraging throughout my visit. Highly recommend!
Michelle Layos: Michael, along with the whole Sweet staff, have been extremely friendly and professional to work with. Our daughter has done a helicopter discovery flight & we’ve had informative meetings about career/study options. Our daughter has decided to pursue a career in aviation and plans to study for her Associate in Aviation through the Sweet/Ivy Tech partnership this fall.Sweet Aviation, we appreciate you!! ✈️
Jesse Holt: My wife was sold a ground school package without being properly educated on what all the packge included and what all flight training requires. She was sold the $500 package, and when she asked what all the package covered, was assured this included everything necessary to get your license. She in turn gave this as a Christmas gift, under the impression that she had paid for a full flight training course, in-cockpit flying lessons included, and explained as much to the gift recipient, myself. At the same time, I discovered my 2:30 onboarding was on the calendar for 2, so i was very late, then discovered that the trainer with whom I had scheduled my first in-cockpit lesson had forgotten to actually reserve me spot on the day in question in his calendar and I would have to reschedule as well. Not exactly pleased to have been forgotten about so soon.Upon discovering this, I attempted to withdraw and get a refund, as I both did not have the time nor funds to take a complete flight training course. I was informed withdrawing and a refund was not possible, and the $500 fee would allow me to attend ground school with Sweet at any time in the future. This is not a service I care to utilize, nor need. I was told there are are other ways to pay for flight lessons, the actual flying part of flight training and given a flyer. The flyer advertised US military GI Bill tuition assistance, something I had looked into some years ago and was waiting for the option before I took lessons on my own apart from my wife's gift, as a possible option for payment. This was not true also. When I spoke to Joel he mentioned some difficulties getting GI Bill approval and there was some confusion as to whether or not they had received proper approval when the flyer was printed. I feel this was false advertising. My accusation of which is probably what warranted Joel's response in the first place. Most upsetting, and the reason for the poor public review beyond simply the poor treatment of my wife and the misleading flyer, is while I was present and considering my next step, I overheard a Sweet employee explain to a customer that Sweet Aviation personnel are instructed to be very clear and up front with pricing and the full costs of getting a license because they specifically want to avoid situations like what happened with my wife: paying for a package without understanding fully what that package includes. Well, they failed here.Unable to withdraw and having already received the Gleim Flight Training Kit, which is both significantly cheaper than Sweet's ground school and fulfills the same requirement for written license testing, I chose to continue attending, hopefully to still learn something. I found that the instructors were all recent college grads attempting to get their necessary instructor hours to go pro by working here but not terribly interested in being teachers. The slide shows presented at each session didn't match the handout. Finally, the last 2 sessions are supposed to be dedicated to studying for the written exam. Instead, at the 11th session we took a practice test and then were dismissed 2 hours before the class was supposed to end. When I attempted to ask for assistance in the areas I was weakest in, I was told to "study harder." I did not attend the 12th session. No one at Sweet appeared to notice. What I wanted was the Christmas gift my wife INTENDED for me and not the deception she was sold. What I want now the most, instead, is my 31 of 36 hours, 11 of my Saturday mornings, back. After I spoke to Joel, I expressed my disappointment in the customer service and advertising my wife and I experienced. As it stands, I received a refund. I also received a letter from the head of the school apologizing. And a headlamp for reading in the cockpit in the dark, for some reason. Honestly, regardless of the intent behind the "gift", I found that to be most insulting. There is nothing Sweet can do to fix this for me, it has left a terrible taste in my mouth regarding the whole facility, and the paltry handout just feels condescending.
Drew: Simply put, some of the most professional helicopter pilots I have ever met. They were courteous and professional from the beginning to the end. I would highly recommend them for your flight training.
Nate Searcy: Great friendly staff. All around a group of people that will go above and beyond to help you. Thanks Sweet Aviation.
Sandy Tina: Most of their Diamond DA-20 fleet are broken ( N476DC, N233ND, N660DC, N107TX...). Many of them, the GPS don't work, the VOR is inaccurate, the installed compass error is too high, more than 30 degree in unaccelerated condition. I almost lost in flight from KY when flew back to KSMD because none of navigation system was available or accurate to work.I tried to put the swak code and told their staffs but it doesn't work. Why don't you guys spend money to fix the instruments instead of spending money on social media ? I have sent the report to FAA, hope that they will come to inspect your DA 20 fleets.
the Nolt Girls: EXCELLENCE ON EVERY LEVEL!!
Don Marqueling: Great building, beautiful planes and helos. Friendly. I was attending a presentation of the F100 fighter. Nice hanger .

Stacy Girod: Flying is definitely not my thing so when I found out my boss booked a private plane to take me and my coworkers to a training I panicked for sure!Andrew was fantastic! He was confident in a good way and talked through everything as it was going on. I knew we were in capable hands. The plane had snacks and waters which were a nice surprise...When we arrived at our location he walked us through the airport and waited outside with us until our ride arrived. Definitely overdelivered!Shockingly I can honestly say I would not hesitate to jump in a plane with Andrew and Sweet Aviation again!
Richard Murray: They live service. Great facilities.
C Weaver: Everyone that we encountered was great. The whole experience was beyond what we expected.
Autumn Gold: I needed to get some pictures of a specific airplane they have for a mini model that I was having custom made for a friend, Mike Brewer went above and beyond to help me obtain these pictures even though he had no obligation to do so, as I am not a customer or student here.
SRH: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueWent for a stunt ride. Wow! Fantastic safe experience. Thanks again for making it such a great time! My pilot was great! The aircraft was super clean and well maintained as was everything else i saw.

Paratus Air Helicopter Training, Tours, and Charters in Fort Wayne, Indiana: what do users think?
Lindsay R: VERY VERY disappointed with this company's unprofessionalism for not honoring the prices listed for the 3Rivers Festival of $20 per person. Walking up with our family of 6, I was shocked to be told $40 per person for a ride. There is no information of the doubling of the price listed on the 3Rivers Festival website.I was originally told it was because they increased the length of their rides to only 4 minutes but then a teenager representing the company corrected the older gentleman and said no it's because of Covid. After showing them the $20 per rider price online, I informed them that as a company it is their responsibility to honor prices listed AND to contact 3Rivers to make them aware of their price hike.As we were leaving the line, the same teenager brought a sign out of their trailer and placed it at the beginning of the line that read... $40 for helicopter rides. This sign is also misleading as it doesn't say per person.
Jacob Ford: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
