Ave Marie House: what do users think?
Laney Hawkins: Some good people here.
Jack Grosjean: Ok
Eliza Hoskins: The man there that answer's the phone is extremely rude and hung up on me!!!! What a great attitude huh!!!
Mike Helblig: Nice, quiet place for the homeless and less fortunate to have some of the amenities of "home": a shower, chance to do a small load of laundry, coffee, a hot lunch
Jessica Harris: I brought a lady in as she had one outfit and no place to live. A white lady running the place, not Dotty, was soooooo rude, my friend left in tears and wanted to give up. Shame on her. I will never refer them and make sure no one donates there ever. Dont ever look down on anyone. I cant imagine how she treats the people in the house.
Natasha Johnson: This one of the places me n my husband willie l Ward Jr visit a lot. We appreciate you so much Ms. Dottie
Jason Gibson: Mrs. Dottie is great, nice place for coffee and a snack
Jayne Kisling: I've been homeless in two states Fredericksburg Virginia and Fort Wayne IndianaI'd rather be homeless in Fredericksburg Virginiathe Ava Maria house and the churches here could really take some lessons from the Micah Center in Fredericksburg Virginia
Cynthia Delaney: Love this place,a place where you can get out of the cold, best hot coffee& snacks.Everyone treats you like family ❣️ love u Miss Dottie
Loran Nix: A place that offers showers, laundry service, and more to those that do not have a place of their own.
Brian Kratzer: I donate to the organization and other times I receive services or such.
irvgotti 38baby: Love it
Kayla Pinkston: It's okay
Jon Cooper: Dottie and her volunteers do a wonderful job ministering to all kinds of people!! The staff is very helpful and respectful to all and are treated the same by most guests!!
Karla Stranger: Wasn't there long but what I experienced was ok.
Ajah Randall: Friw
Jonathan Nungester: Free coffee and snacks
Ken “Putemup” Miller: Excellent place run by excellent people, and a one of a kind in this town, providing much needed services to our struggling adults.

Just Neighbors Family Center: what do users think?
guero cabron: They are racist and they lied one to have my kids taken. I would never go back there
Rosemary Hunter: I didn't stay at the shelter (not as of yet) but did have the pleasure of meeting Erin, Shirley, and Stephanie for Eviction Intervention and can't thank them enough. It's not over yet, but it is their words of encouragement and their expertise of the subject matter, has been key factors of my coping with this all. Thank y'all!!R L Hunter
Mozzarella Mari: Night staff is disrespectful and testy. I left and signed out, signed back in and they tried saying I didn't (looked at the sheet myself, I did) They tried kicking me out for it. Do not recommend unless you never go anywhere.
Missy Faye: We were very fortunate to have Just Neighbors in our corner! It was a good place to start building a new foundation for my children....... Forever grateful!
L W Durril: A social service agency that helps homeless Families ‼️💤🛌

Ft Wayne Rescue Ministries: what do users think?
Jerri Dillon: The rescue mission only takes men
Cabbie Minister: I think thay need to watch there people that live there alot closer thay do drugs and thay drink n take advantage of lady not a good place at all
Tab Levitas: It's a shame this is the only place you can go to when you're homeless in fort Wayne... They offer a 30 day emergency stay for everyone, if you want longer you must join one of their many faith based life recovery programs. There is there salvation army too, but they make you work for next to no pay effectively slavery... Forced religion, slavery, or pitch a tent and hope the cops don't need with you... Gotta love Fort Wayne!
Linzy Robinson: Thank you for all the wonderful meals. This place is a much needed and appreciated establishment.
Catherine Lewis: i think it was awesome for me, when i was displaced, for them to set me up in a hotel for at least 10 days, it gave me a chance to have income for a motel until things get better and with God it promises to do that. So it's about 10 months later on my journey since being displaced. So grateful for a higher power who chooses to take care of me. He didn't have to but like one of the men that died with him on the cross he asked. That all God wants from us , we'll that a major part of living with God is that He wants us to ask. I used to be so proud that when earlier I didn't even have furniture in my home I didn't even ask the church that I had attended for furniture. So proud, but today because of Jesus I have no problem asking. Thanks be to Jesus. So recently as of October 20. I had to go back to the mission , living at charris house. Setbacks are real but I'm not giving up. I still have dreams. I still have hope and God still loves me. Go figure. Use to do a lot of talking about it but today. I will just have to do. Struggles are a part of life. Wish I could snap my fingers and all would be well. I truly want better, but my struggles run deep. I mean I look good my grooming is better, so much better, and I'm even coping better but handling reality is a very big problem or me. I see people get better so genuinely happy for them . God has such a promising future for all of us. Don't really know how to handle this but to pray. Life has finally taught me giving up is NOT an option. It usually get pretty hard after making that declaration, but I don't care . Let the chips fall where it may. With mental illness it harder. With the recent death of stwitch , dancer from the Ellen show, I'm seeing know that life is going to take much more than I thought. I heard this at a funeral. Sometimes people die to save you or me or us. Something is missing in my life I just want me now. So good news as of February 17, 2023. im still homeless, but i figured out what was causing me the problem. So LW, i will have even better news, but i want to surprise people, even myself. like fantasia said life is no fairytale, but dreams can come true.
Alpplebuttumsup C: Very nice
James Prough: It needs more staff, especially during the winter months to control the flow of homeless people. The staff could be more compassionate but I can understand that dealing with those that don't want to change. This was developed as a launch pad to better ones life, not a permanent residency. I myself appreciate this facility.
Jody Joe: I work alot with these guys down here. The fresh start program that they offer is a life saving program that is helping and changing alot of peoples lives.
Kelly McArdle Miller: This organization serves an underserved population in Fort Wayne and it’s important work. They have a combination of paid staff and volunteers providing meals, shelter and programming to help women, men and children move to the next stage of their journey.Thank you for all you do!!
Wade Wasson: Went there with a buddy of mines elderly father to get some Thanksgiving meals and it was actually very nice.
Kim Olsen: I was dumped off here by the avenues recovery center. It was very over crowded with no one to clearly direct me on anything I could do or anyone to ask questions for what I wanted to accomplish. I was alone in a space full of scary people with so many questions and did not know what to do. It was an awful, terrifying experience for my Thanksgiving day. Thank you Avenues recovery center.
Dave Shaffer: Fort Wayne is lucky to have a facility like this!!
Rick Dever: Great Thanksgiving meals ....thank you so much
Dustin Hart: Great warm place three hot meals and a warm bed.
MICHAEL SHEA GRAY: You know the Ft.Wayne Mission is supposed to be about helping ppl find there way back into the world but instead they treat it like it's a prison, and if you leave and are gone for more than 3 days they do away with your belongings now just how is that helping a person that's trying to get back into society how is that helping them out, it's not bc it just sets them back that much further starting back into society so then there already starting off on the wrong foot heading back into society and there starting back out that way bc the FtWayne mission thats supposed to be helping ppl get back to society is starting them off going in the wrong direction backwards instead of forward????? Now you tell me whats wrong with this picture....
Kathleen Cavazos: Very badly littered, really bad feeling when waiting for service.
Al Fugit: I live here
Sandy Phillips: My daughter was left in Fort Wayne she is from Springfield mo. She has no phone or money. I have not heard from her in 3 days. Her name is Monica if you come in contact with her please have her call home. I am in for her safety and just want her home. God bless.
Dean Johnson: Upon recovery was thrown out due to unreasonable acts of non violent offense and am now banned for 6 months upon throwing my own vape at the wall lol mutiny is what they run.!!
Jerryw Hart: It is becoming a mad house sometimes I felt like cattle being hurded from one area to another no assigned beds first come first get it I'm 73 with arthritis in my knees I had to always take a top bunk it was hard for me to get up and down
Jeffrey Myers: Jim mum hi hi j on uk

Charis House: what do users think?
Catherine Lewis: Charris house has a lot of good points. Nice to know a person doesn't have to be completely homeless. Life is truly what I make it. I choose to follow the rules which can appear to be very strict, but I know for a fact strict can keep you out of jail. But I digress. Everything is choice. Haven't quite adhere to all of this but for me it's something to ponder. I can choose to follow there strict rules or I can be further homeless.
Jamien “Cherrelle” Fleming: This place is beyond amazing!!!Great food!Great staff (except that 1... it's always that one miserable person in every setting!) But the staff here is loving, friendly, supportive, encouraging and understanding!!!!!This is the BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD SINCE I'VE BEEN IN FORT WAYNE 114 DAYS!!HANDS DOWN, I LOVE IT!!!
Elizabeth Cardoza: If you want to save your life from addiction this is the place to go! Staff is very supportive and you feel very safe at Charis House. One of the best.
Alina Cuautle: Very depressing place, feels like a prison. Treats everyone as if they’re an addict. Staff very unprofessional, rude, and constantly gossip about residents instead of helping. Only give out a quarter of donations and either pocket or throw out the rest. You can’t work for 6-8 months so good luck on saving. I could say more but this is just whats on the surface. All in all the program is not helpful in any way and I would never recommend.
Preciosa Seven: horrible place horrible staff . Very manipulative Liars . Bed bugs . Very prison like . They talk about the people they help . Very unprofessional staff are instigators and very unreasonable rude and disrespectful .
Natalia Gonzalez: Horrible had bad bed bugs blamed it on me and said It was from me kept me in a bed bug infested place .Gossiping about people they were helpingTalking bad about clients and making fun of them .not very Christian to be a christian place . Staff are liars and very manipulative. Feels like prison more than a shelter WOULD NOT RECCOMEND
Amber Trowbridge: Exceptional people and amazing staff
R Lew: Leave you're unwanted clothes and accessories here for the girls and kids who really appreciate and need. Instead of Goodwill who just resales it. A great cause. Call them they will come out of the building and unload you're vehicle....please help them out!
Crystal Garris: 🙏
Bridgett Holman: Over amonth ago i did an iver the phone intake and was told i was added to the waiting list. I called to the least 2 x's a week and on November 3 i entered the Avenues Recovery Center and after 7 says had a counselor call to make sure i was not skipped and still on waiting list. We the next day last Thursday i was told i wasn't on the waiting list because when i was there in January I didnt do what was required which is a lie. WAandanis a psuedo christian and didn't like me from the start. Think about some messed up things before you enter this program. Sorry Wanda I was the wrong color!
Cynthia Nix: I stayed there with my son for 2 weeks before being accepted elsewhere, and this was the most depressing place I had ever been too! It feels like prison! I was there for 2 weekends, and the first weekend I wasn't even allowed to go to church! I do not know of any place that discourages church as much as the Charis House!
Terry l Walker: This is where I am staying and it's the best shelter in Fortwayne for women and children it not just a shelter its God House. The staff here are caring loving people God people.
Shaun Burridge: Caring staff
Mona Wenger: Very well organized and needed not for profit home for women and children. A place for families to stay until they get back on their feet. Chapel service every Friday. Thank you LORD for your servants.
Denver and Terry Coyer: I'm staying here right this min. And so far I like it.
Joy Tiernon: Life transformation takes place here!
Mercede Lynch: Lovely staff! Great place to get on your feet! Loves people and children!
Katie Ercolino: Feel like prison
Godified Saint: As a intern a while back before graduating with my 1st degree...I felt as if there were more laughs at the people they helped, which is not...nor christian like. Hypocrites if you ask me! They do make big changes and are a blessing to be in this city though.
Shante Smith: This place changes so many lives
Earla Printup: Something is horribly wrong here. Took well over a month to talk to someone and calls are never returned. Most homeless people don't have cell phones to call every day. Who are they serving?

Vincent House: what do users think?
Logan Chmielewski: For a ""non profit"" 501 c3, associated with the church nonetheless, they sure squeeze every penny they can out of those who can least afford it, oh and good luck getting permission to sleep if you work anything other than a 9-5. I smell some form 13909's in the air.
Tina Funkhouser: Very helpful staff who truly care about helping people up!
janie hunt: I've been here 2 days. 31 weeks pregnant and they're telling me i need a full time job working 40 hours. They provide nothing for you amd there is no freedom here. They also make you pay 30% of your check to stay in their prison. If you get exited they keep your money. They dont provide transportation so good luck getting to work. They lie and say that 95% of people complete successfully. EVERY family that i talked to here says they can't wait to leave. Don't let them lie to you. They probably delete all bad reviews because this place would get a negative 5 stars if i could give it.
Linese Gunther: I came to the Vincent house from a totally different city with to kids basically just the clothes on our backs and nowhere to go. After my first interview we moved in after only 24hrs. They gave so much help so much information. My family was there for 5 months and we not only gained help and community access but a family Ms.May, Ms. Lamay, and Ms.Vanessa are the best they have a program for the kids where my kids fell in love with Ms. Nae Nae. I came with nothing I left with a fully furnished affordable home. They still call and check in offer help! I OWE THEM SO MUCH! THANK YOU MS.DENISE!!!!
Steve Sanserino: Wonderful experience, wonderful mission.
Faythe Grosjean: this place is depressing. i was a family here. when you come you loose your rights and freedom. they come into your room when ever they want. you can not discipline your kids so every kid here misbehaves. my fiance and the father of my children is being kicked out for not returning one night when he was working a late shift and another shift right after it so pretty much being kicked out for working to support us as a family.this place is also racist. i will never suggest this place. they also charge you most your income to stay here.
Michael Kitch: Great tour Denice
Isabel Espinoza: It's just awesome what the people from Vincent house does for needed family ect it's my pleasure working with them they treat you really nice God bless them all they do the possibility for all needed family and thanks to those people who donates things for Vincent house God bless them too!
O Corey amerigod: If u r a 🇺🇸 Veteran of Foreign Wars 🇺🇸 and u r having Civilian Life adjustment issues, The Vincent House will help place u back on Solid Ground. Call or Come by. 🙇-honorUSVets
Steve Bolin: Maybe u need to teach people to. Clean up there messes they leave. Help is a two way road
Lavert Hearn: Good place for young an old

Interfaith Hospitality Network: what do users think?
Bob Aldridge: Eye was going through a very rough time and they helped me so much and cannot thank them enough!!! They are very good people who care!!!!
Mz Raven: Not a great place to be if your homeless, staff are very rude and spiteful, some people get away w everything and others not at all.Horrible treatment to my kids! They dont care of your trying to get work and cant theyll kick you out so quick for really stupid reasons.Thank goodness i found a place on my own!
MJ Eldridge: Staff is friendly and caring. Has opened their arms to my children and me during 2 different occasions of transitioning, during homeless times in our life. Cannot thank this organization or their staff enough for all the live and support we received. Will be forever grateful.
Quentin Duberry: My family and I moved there after getting evicted from our place. I was working and my wife had a job interview a few days after us moving in Lynda explained to us the rules and stated that us having jobs and saving money was a number one priority of theirs. Then she explained the dinner schedule and how being present for dinner is mandatory because dinner is sometimes provided by outside individuals like a church or a family that felt like being charitable so they wanted the residents present for dinner which is understandable. The problem was my wife had started working and her shift was overat 530pm and dinner started at 5pm. We only had one vehicle and i would have to pick her up from work and that created a problem because i would have to leave during dinner to pick her up. I was asked to leave the shelter but my wife and son was allowed to stay mywife refused to live there without me so we all had to leave. Now it's been a month and were living wherever we could and my wife had lost her job. All because these people who were suppose to be helping us establish stability felt it was more important to stroke the egos of the volunteers over being understanding about the needs of the people they have the facility open to help.
Sara Alexis: My experience here at Interfaith Hospitality Network was the best. When me and my family came in with nothing, my dad being unemployed. They made sure to help us, being at this shelter was the best thing I could ever experience as a high school student at the time. Sharon, and Shirley helped my dad find a job, they helped my mom when she felt down, and they helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I'll never forget my experience and the people I met.
Latasha Govan: If I could give 0 starts I would, horrible experience within less than 10 mins, the website provided wonderful stories, so I decided to call and spoke with, Sharon she was somewhat helpful but very hesitant, which I understand possibly due to piracy policy, so she then transfer me to Lynda the director, as soon as she picked up the phone her tone was horrible, as she was being bothered, when I asked how cash donation could be submitted she proceed with a nasty attitude, stating "weren't you just told that!" I immediately knew this was not the Agency I would make a donation to, first impressions are everything, 30 seconds of a bad, uninterested tone ruined it all, Lynda as a program director you should be setting a better example, because of your lack of interest, this agency missed out on a good thing, I had such high hopes for this company, and was happy to give, I hope your day gets better God Bless
