Stillwater Hospice IN: what do users think?
Marti Hoppus: A wonderful, caring organization that serves people during their last days on earth
Nancy Riddle: I was working with the case manager at Lutheran General and was told my mom couldn’t go into a nursing facility because of her aggressive state she was in. I thought it was hospital dementia. No one at Lutheran would say what it was exactly, but we were told no nursing home would take her. I was nervous and scared. The case manager said Stillwater would. The team was professional from start to finish. I first met with the intake nurse who explained everything to me. She said that the head of Stillwater’s geriatric doctor visited my mom and reviewed her charts…she knew immediately that my mom had sepsis delirium-no other doctor in the Lutheran General Hospital in Ft. Wayne knew this when my mom was in ICU! Stillwater took my mom immediately from Lutheran via ambulance and I followed. They had a room ready. I never had to handle any bills-there was just an intake form about my mom’s likes and dislikes-favorite music, foods, etc. They had a care package of food and water ready in the room for me, too. I met with the social worker and also the head nurse, Wava. They were awesome. They answered all my questions, including if my mom could stay on extra days, which she could…for $250/day, which is a good rate! We were initially told a maximum of one week, so that’s my only criticism. This is an inpatient hospice, which I learned is different and required for cases like my mom, because she would have hurt herself or others because of the delirium. They took excellent care of my mom. They were all so kind. My mom was so clean and smelled so nice from her baths and her clean sheets. They had a fidget blanket which told me they understood their patients. She was kept comfortable on her pain meds. The grounds are gorgeous. Oh, and I accidentally left my laptop there and was too exhausted to go back and get it. They kept it in safe-keeping for me…it wasn’t stolen so I was glad I could trust them with that, but I don’t recommend leaving valuables on your loved one or in the room. This is a non-profit, which I loved, too.
Helen Braden: They are taking great care of my Mother in law
Rob Catania dog dad: .....Very abusive employees .......who "cover-up" for each other.............just abuse and neglect.......They have tried many times to remove my review, and they actually threaten anyone who posts any negative reviews....They have changed their business name , but remain the same nefarious owners and employees.
Allison Liddy: If peace and comfort are what you’re looking for in your loved ones final days then keep looking.Following a 2.5 year battle with cancer my 7 year old daughter was placed on hospice. The job that Stillwater had with our family was providing comfort and peace at home for her final days, the only thing I could ask for and something I was under the impression was their purpose. The only pain medication provided was morphine and when that wasn’t working they recommended the hospital. So, they recommended we do the one thing we hired them to avoid. I’d asked for other options for days before it got “really bad”. Then, as Saturday rolled around the fact that it was a weekend was an excuse for their neglect. Her battle brought a lot of traumatizing experiences, but the utmost traumatizing moments experienced were at the hands of Stillwater. The generic response you’ll reply with about grieving and HIPAA is demeaning & a poor response to the lack of care provided.
Janet Workman: I do not have my husband at the home but he has been on Visiting Nurse/Stillwater Hospice for 1 1/2 years and I cannot praise the care he has been given, the deep concern for him and the family is amazing, I have not found one employee that I can complain about. I recommend it very highly
Lindon Robertson: Our experience with Stillwater was excellent. Caring, compassionate, and responsive. We felt they were there for a very important purpose and knew it, and each person helped to fulfill it.
Stacys Ratcliffe: A great experience. Nurses answer any question. They are very patient with family. They are very caring to the patient. They understand that the family is going through a process that has many stages. They are special people for choosing to work there.
Bill O'Neill: Our family had a wonderful, kind, caring experience with the staff at visiting nurse and hospice. We felt very fortunate and grateful that our family member could spend his last days and hours in their care.
Latika La-Shae AndThenWhat?: I can't say enough good things about Visiting Nurse hospice care. They made my grandmother's transition wonderful. Every time we needed something, Visiting Nurse was delivering it almost immediately (within an hour). I can say so much about them but I don't have the space. If my family ever needs hospice care again, we will definitely be calling Visiting Nurse.
Melissa Stucko: Great and caring staff. Very helpful. I would recommend their services.
Dazedgrad: Condescending. Rude. Demeaning. I wouldn't come back to put my dog down here.If you feel like the nurses are being nasty PLEASE secretly record the conversation with your smart phone as evidence and send it up the ladder.I dont think they care though either - as you can see they use the same copy & paste reply that its false information and want to prosecute (for telling the truth). Which is why its SO important to record all conversations with nasty nurses on your smart phone.
D Cochran: If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Very peaceful and caring staff who understand what you are going through. Very supportive and attentive. Can’t thank them enough for being there for my family.
Liz: This place is awful!! My father in law is in their care now..he hads huge bed sores that smell like rotten flesh!,its just awful!! They just keep him drugged up and say there is nothing to do to help heal the sores.
Tonda Cranor: During the most difficult time in my life they made it bearable. I cannot sing their praises enough. Things I didn’t even know we might need, they were always one step ahead of us.
Marti Dudley: My dad was lovingly cared for by the staff at Hospice Home. The family support was outstanding. The staff answered all of our questions and helped us to feel comfortable during this most difficult time.
Diana Arnold: This is where my mom spent her final weeks. I can't say enough about this place and the staff. This was back in 2005, but I still think about this place a lot. Having a cutting garden to get fresh flowers for her each morning was a huge deal! All the way around, it's an awesome place to spend the worst part of my life.
harl: I would give Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home a 100 star review if it was possible. My Daughter spent the last nine days of her life here. The staff did everything in their power to make her feel comfortable. I could use all the other words like compassionate, caring, respect, dignity and the staff was all of these, but most important they treated us like FAMILY.Yes I would highly recommend.
Cole Randol: It was a difficult choice to put my mom in hospice, but I am so thankful we did and chose VNH. We spent 11 days there with mom. I can not praise them enough. My mom had excellent care, not one time did we ever have any issues. Every staff member went above and beyond in everything they did to make my mom and sisters feel comfort and peace. They are the most compassionate, caring people ever! They treated us like family, and for that I am truly grateful.
Carolyn L: My brother Kerry Ridge spent his last days here. Every person I talked with, every person who helped him and myself were some of the most compassionate, loving people I have ever met. They treated him and his family like we were family, with respect and dignity. I would recommend Visiting Nurse in Ft. Wayne to everyone.
Heather Desotell: My mom passed away here 4 weeks ago from the time we found out she had cancer until the time she passed away was only 6 weeks she was only in the facility for 1 1/2 days she was fine going in other than in a lot of pain so she was there to get the pain under control we were supposed to take her home the following morning. It happened extremely fast after we took her there. Since this time trying to deal with the grieving I have done some research and have found that they had my mom on a high dose of methedone and they were also giving her ativan for anxiety and now I see that those two medicines together are lethal. So yes I feel they killed my mom!!

SouthernCare - Fort Wayne: what do users think?
Amber Hernandez: If I could rate this facility zero stars I would. My mother in law was put on hospice and this place took her off the meds she absolutely needed and replaced it with a med that specifically stated not for people over the age of 65 due to it causing death. As soon as the switch was made she started going downhill and the on call nurse Greg wouldnt even come out to see her. 3 days of calling him and all he wanted to do was drug her up on pain meds and said call back tomorrow if things hadn't improved. Would call back and still no visit. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!!
Raymundo Hernandez: The worst you have to basically beg the on call nurses to come make sure ur loved ones are ok and even then they dont come there and there cheap they make u jump through hoops to have what you need
Amanda Ciak: Wonderful caring and passionate staff! As a facility administrator, they are the best of the best. Thank you!
Carol Livengood: Thank you for all of the care you provided for my Mom. Also for the care I received as the family. Everyone I came in contact with was willing to spend time just talking to me as I sat with my Mom. I will forever be grateful for the love and support I felt and the attention to detail that was given to Mom as you cared for her. You were there as she took her last breath. Thank you. May the Lord continue to bless your efforts.

ProMedica Hospice Serving Northeast Indiana: what do users think?
suzanne wright: Very caring personnel. Very fast service when called. (May 2021)
Joyce Johnson: Caring people who support families in a trying time in life.
Brianna Graham: I used to work for this company. They took THE MOST AMAZING care of my family before and after the deaths of my beloved grandparents who both passed within 5 months of each other. This is not a job to these heathcare Angels. This is their calling. They are gifted beyond human understanding. I left a job I loved JUST to work alongside them during the most difficult year of my life.I will NEVER forget their love, devotion, patience with my endless questions, the step by step guidance, the entire team that surrounded us.Social work, spiritual care, massage therapy, music therapy, nursing, a nurses aide...every single one of them gave my family an immeasurable amount of peace. And you can't put a price on that. However, since it's 100% covered by Medicare, you won't pay one penny for ANYTHING.Everything, every piece of equipment, even medications, can be delivered to your home (unless you need meds right now, then you might have to make a trip to the nearest pharmacy if others are closed).Their nurses are available 24/7. You can call yourself and be able to talk through ANYTHING, or request a visit if it is needed. You won't ever have to guess what the next step is. I will forever recommend and shout to the hilltops how wonderful they are here.
Becky Nothstine: Heartland is the best group to work with when you have a family member in their final stages of life. From the case worker to all the nurses that cared for my dad they were always in touch with me as I lived out of town. I knew my dad was in very wonderful hands of people that really care. Thanks for all you do
Rachel Isch: My father just passed away a couple days ago. The Heartland Hospice nurses always strived to help him be as comfortable as possible. During his last few days, they were so compassionate and conscientious of his needs, and our needs as a family. They made the dying process so much more endurable, patiently explaining every transition they noticed and answering all our questions. They always made us feel that dad wasn't just another resident, but someone special.

Heart to Heart Hospice: what do users think?
Joanna Wyatt: They lied threw their teeth with my dad. Didn't honor his wishes at all.
Sara: About 2 months or so ago, I saw a woman driving this company’s car yell at some Starbucks employees because she has poor time management skills.First, she parked in the fire lane instead of a parking spot because apparently her time is more valuable than everyone else’s. Then, she really made it a point that she thinks her time is more valuable because she began sighing, huffing and puffing when she had to wait an extra 5 min for her drink because they were slammed. Mind you, the rest of us were waiting calmly for our orders. Then, instead of calmly asking an employee if her drink would be ready soon, she yelled “so are you guys working on my drink?! ‘Cause I see you sipping on your lil drink over there.” A grown woman - how embarrassing. The moral of this story is, if this is how she treats retail and food workers, imagine how she treats clients. Sad.
Erin Aycicek: My client was just signed up yesterday for hospice with heart to heart.. wow they are soo wonderful..they gave my clients family and myself some much needed information about what is going to happen when we signed up with them..very friendly!! They had a hosptial bed plus other needed supplies delivered that day..the nurses are awesome as well..my client needed a size bigger on depends and the nurse brought them over in the pouring cold rain!! Very good communication!!
Cindy Douglass: These folks worked in conjunction with the staff at Gold Years 2 years ago when my dad passed. They worked well with the staff at Golden Years and provided us with valuable information during Dad's final days. They also helped provide aftercare once Dad passed.
Ed Chiang: The people who care for my wife are incredible! They are very caring, compassionate, and professional. I am so grateful for their services to my wife. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

Eleos Hospice Care: what do users think?
Trudy Haneline: Elio's took care of my husband while he was on hospice in a nursing home. Their employees were absolutely fabulous they were courteous they explained everything in detail and made sure that I understood what they were talking about. When he passed away they were absolutely wonderful caring making sure that whatever we needed we got. I myself am on hospice with Elios and I am having my care through Elio's at my daughter's house. I can't say enough about this , the workers their , quality of care and their, way they listen. God bless all of them. Thank you
Jan Akins: Eleos Hospice Care is an incredible organization. When my dad's dementia worsened and we had to place him in a memory care facility, Eleos came along side caring for him in a most compassionate way. I can't adequately express my thanks and admiration for his team. What a blessing!
Patricia McGill: Eleos Hospice provides the most complete and compassionate care to their patients and their families. I would recommend them to anyone looking for end of life care. They go above and beyond any expectations.
LaReta Beckman: Everyone that I've ever met at Eleos is kind a.d passionate about they work they do.
Karen Beard: Eleos Hospice has a refreshing approach to end of life care. They pride themselves on their love for their patients. They are always available when called and make themselves available to teach and explain whatever you may need or think of. They are an amazing new company. I would highly recommend their services if you or a loved one is in need of end of life stages, or just simply need extra loving care within any illness.
Staci Smalley: Awesome place with great service
Dawn Myers: Being a care taker of my mother has been hard. But with Eleos hoapice care, the weight has been lifted. Their care team is the most compassionate and professional staff I could have dreamed of for her. Her needs are always met and they go above and beyond for all aspects of her care. They make sure I am in the loop and communicate with such compassion.I would recommend this Hopsice care company to anyone who wants the best care for their loved one.
Sherri Bradley: I am so very thankful for Eleos. The love, support and compassion we received from this great company, was amazing.Eleos hospice was a God send.My father in law, Clayton was living with us.Kalid and the Eleos staff came and met with us and went over the needs of Clayton. She gave us such comfort and support.Thank you EleosSherri Bradley

Parkview Home Health & Hospice - Infusion/Administrative Offices: what do users think?
tracy dehne: Nurses were very professional but if you need them after hours you have a long wait up to 3 hrs . I have never received any bereavement information at all . I have had Hospice care from other groups for other family members and I would not chose Parkview again .
Deb Rain: My mother was a Parkview Hospice patient from Dec to May 2022 and I could not ask for more caring, wonderful people to care for her.. .Karen RN, Linda RN, Cora Aide, Roniece Aide, Karen Chaplin, Anna Social Worker,Amazing and caring people...would highly recommend
Teresa Cummings: I have only praise for Parkview Hospice. They were there when they said they would be. The nurses and aide we had were very compassionate and caring. Not only for my mother, but for the rest of us too. What I am most thankful for, is the aide was there, and when needed immediately, it took just minutes before the nurse was there. They were both there and helped the family through the most difficult day. Thank you to those that helped us. You know who you are.... Thank you.
Thomas Bartolini: I took my wife 12/10/21 who was very sick with covid for infusion therapy. The next day she felt amazing! I highly recommend this to anyone who is covid positive.
James Elliott: Parkview hospice took over when I brought my wife home. They were here every day and provided support to not only to my wife, but myself. Their nurses are Angels, giving care on a level I could never conceive of. After my wife's death, they continue to provide support. I thank God I lived in Fort Wayne and was able to utilize them.
Brenda Hohman: Both dad and mom received services from their wonderful, professional, thorough and caring staff. Kimberly, Shelley, Sarah, Toni, Ben and others. They each went above and beyond to address the needs of my parents and our family after two hospitalizations and rehab in nursing home stints. Got my parents nursing, medication management, occupational and physical therapy, social work and set up meals on wheels. They have been a Godsend. Thank you so much!!!
Katherine Jackson: I absolutely love Parkview Hospital and their outpatient services so when my daughter needed home health services I chose Parkview over the other companies and absolutely regret that decision. I recently received her records via medical records so I had copies on hand and I continue to find lies especially with one nurse named Stephanie. Not only did she contradict herself concernjng certain aspects of my daughter's care she also lied about what was said to me. What was going on in our home. What time she arrived, how long she stayed and what she did during the visit. She also claims to have visited times she did not. I will be pursuing this with the state and our insurance company. Shame on you!
Robert Perrey: If you can, don't get involved with hospice thru Parkview. They dont show when they say they will. They will park on your property for an hour but 45 minutes of that time in spent in the car. Also watch out for the pharmacy they bring in the house. You have to watch them like a hawk. Danielle one of nurses, is dishonest and just wants to get her hour in, but will spend less than 10-15 minutes only with the dying soul. Will sign and do her paper work in your kitchen if you let her.If you want Adult protective involved this is the right choice for you. IF you DO NOT want the lack of service and the drama choose another provider.
Shannon Sawin: The care provided to my older son when he had his TPN and PICC line was impeccable. And now the care given to my youngest who has had a feeding tube placed. The level of care and concern has been truly a blessing! THank you Parkview Home Health!!
rachel douglas: If I could give them a 0 star I would! My mother went into Parkview Hospice on November 8th, 2019. She came to my home and lived with me. I met 1 nurse, the day they enrolled her! Never spoke to a doctor and they never came to see her. She passed away on November 24, 2019.To say that they care for our loved ones is a very incorrect statement. They sign them up, and send them on their way in a very corporate manner. If your loved one is entering hospice I would recommend finding another provider.
Jessica Vermillion: Recently we were faced with choosing hospice care for my grandma. With all the options and so much on your mind how do you choose? So we went with Parkview as they already had my grandma's file and information. It took them 2 days and a rescheduled meeting to finally show up to see her. Their service was terrible, and they made an already hard time worse by not listening to what we or the nurses taking care of her at the nursing home were saying. My grandma went through unnecessary pain and suffering because of them during her last days. I would never recommend them, under any circumstance.
Paige Gallaway: They are amazing to work with every person I came in contact with from the nurses to the delivery guys to the billing department were professional and friendly. They understand that you are using their services because you or someone you love is ill and the make your experience as stress free as possible! Thank you parkview home health care!

Elara Caring: what do users think?
David Mulldune: I was discharged form Elara Caring after a stay in the hospital. Elara Caring was called and the caring started. From their first visit I knew I was in good hands. After 6 weeks of therapy I’m back to where I was before my attack. I can’t say enough about these folks. There Great!!!
Jill Myers: Elara Caring gave amazing care to our Mother and also helped guide us through the process of greiving. Would highly recommend!
Rebecca Harris: They provided the most awesome services to our family the team was great the case manager, nurses, aides, doctors, social worker the delivery people all we're compassionate, sympathetic and did everything they could to help our mom's last days as comfortable and pain free as they could I highly recommend them to every caregiver that needs assistance thank you for all you guys did God bless you all!!!
Leslie Peterson: If I had a 0 star option I would. 2nd time we have been assigned this company after a life threatening hospital stay. They do not perform per the ordering physician guidelines and do not report labs on time. I wouldn't recommend them to remove a sliver.
