Jesse Christman: As a supplier they are fast and the prices seem reasonable. However, the products they supply are more for commercial installations and I wish they would have told me that up front. I received two very expensive custom steel door frames that I cannot use, and since they are a custom size, CIH is not able to return them. They also provided some door seals and bottoms that do not perform well - I needed them for a soundproofing application and regret the purchase. They are pretty responsive to communications though, so I think 3 or 3.5 stars is a fair rating for my experience.

Mandeep Singh: They have the worst customer service and rude. They came down fixed my sliding door because one of the panel came out due to high wind. Panel was fixed and paid for. but next day something went wrong with the sensor. Door wouldn’t shut all the way. I been here for 2 years and I know sometime people can hit there luggage or other belonging and panel would stick out and I always tend to fix it. But this time with there cheap parts and put different color trim. The door is rough now and I was told that is a different problem and not related to that issue. It’s only been 2 weeks and I was charge because i didn’t call them same days.

Ellen Keough: When asked what I can expect to be charged, was told parts and labor. No one explained there was going to be a "trip" charge that would amount to more than half of the bill. I was also over charged on labor time by HOURS. When I called to discuss these concerns, customer service representative was rude, aggressive and interrupted me multiple times. Asked to escalate to a manager and was told I will likely not hear from anyone. VERY disappointed with their customer service.

Dev Piprottar: Just be careful with these guys. They charge you twice. They charge you trip charges and then they charge you the time it takes to come out. In Fort Wayne, you can go to any place in 20-25 minutes. They charge you 45 minutes to just come out. Just be careful!

Blaine Chambers: Had them out to replace springs in my garage door in March. Springs needed to be special ordered and they were installed late May. The door has not worked right since, springs were not the same size as before and were put in different spots from the originals. I mentioned it during install and was told they were moved to accommodate the spring sizing. I had them out twice during the "warranty period" because the door would not shut all the way on one side and it just didnt seem to operate as before. I was intially told that it would take up to 90 days for the springs to properly adjust but I insisted they come out anyway. The trailing/tension cables were adjusted both times and the last time I was told it was not under warranty but since he couldn't get ahold of anyone at the office he would just mark it as warranty. Next time I called because it was still not working correctly I was told it would not be covered under warranty. It's continuing to be an issue, my door creaks and groans when closing ,one sides cable is sloppy after it shuts, one side has a gap over one inch and it seems to have an extreme amount of pressure. It surges forward after the button is pressed and rocks back and forth until it balances out. I'm waiting for the day that something breaks free and it falls.If you need anymore more than a standard garage door replacement I would 100% not recommend them. 1k out the door and left me with a definite safety issue.

C G: My review is in addition to Tristan Moyer's review. In response to over head door, I did not ask the technician to take and dispose of the bottom panel of my garage door. He asked and I told him I wanted to keep it in case we could get it fixed and put back up ourselves. I told him we could dispose of the panel ourselves if need be. My boyfriend was out of town at the time. Which is why I wanted to keep the door as is, until he could see it. The technician told me it could not be repaired by us, and again he asked if I wanted him to take the panel. Because he had already cut the cables and took the door down I gave up trying to salvage anything and told him he could go ahead and take it. Not being very knowledgeable about garage doors myself, I feel like it all would have gone differently had Tristan been home.
Tristan Moyer: I was out of town my girlfriend backed into the garage door. Told her to call overhead door to get a "on fixing it. The technician told her the door couldn't be fixed and that we needed a new door and it'd be 2000 to $3000. When I got home the cables were cut on the door and he took the bottom panel to dispose of it. From what I seen I could have easily fixed it myself now I have to get a whole new door. I called overhead door and asked if I could speak with the technician to ask him why he did that they told me I could not speak with the technician. About 5 years ago I had these people install a garage door opener at my old house very professional And affordable I guess times have changed. I definitely would not recommend this company.
Kimber Chang: The customer service folks were rude and curt. I paid several hundreds of dollars for repairs and the key pad code still isn’t working even after installing a new one 1 month out. The tech seemed irritated working on my repairs despite my efforts to be polite and courteous. Would not recommend.
Mitch Fisher: I used Overhead door for a property I manage. They were having a hard time figuring out what was going wrong with the opener, and they had to come out multiple times. In the end the opener ended up being bad and we had to order a new one. Overhead Door actually put all the previous balance toward the new opener because of how long it took. No one is perfect, but it's good to know that the people you are working with will make it right if things go south.

However, when the guy showed up he took one look at the door and said he didn't have the parts he needed so he'd be back "in a day or two". Two days passed without contact and my wife called and the receptionist appeared to have no idea who we were or that we had requested to have work done. No follow up from the guy who came out to the house either. We went with another company. Not impressed by the lack of communication and apparent disorganization when it comes to logging and tracking potential jobs.

Granted this was the era before mainstream smartphones and GPS. So stopped at Raynor's to ask for directions, or if they knew where Summit was.I was told by the sales person to either buy something from the store or to leave. I then asked for them to search google maps, or if they had a local phone book....I was then threatened.."I'm going to call the police if you don't leave right now. You're not a customer so get out."I haven't been back since. Since when is asking for directions justifiable to calling the police?
