Tim McPhate: I brought in a couple of sentimental, older watches for repair at Bradley Gough. According to the company site, they are "experts" in watch repair and offer everything from battery changes to quartz movement and crystal replacement, etc. No job is "too big or small" for them "to handle," in their words.My watches had mechanical issues (they simply aren't working), which I thought was a battery.When I came in to pick them up, I was told that it wasn't a battery issue. I then probed further, but the gentleman who was "helping" me shrugged his shoulders and told me they were not able to figure out the problems. I then asked if that was all, and he nodded and said I should take them elsewhere. He was actually quite rude and standoffish.So, it turns out, Bradley Gough are not "experts" in terms of watch repair and the information on their website is misleading. Which leads this potential customer to question whether they are experts at anything. Of course, maybe I was deemed not "important enough" as a customer, given what I came in for. After all, repairing a watch is a far cry from an engagement ring.The interesting twist is that I am actually mulling a major jewelry purchase, and was considering Bradley Gough. However, I will surely take my business elsewhere after this poor display of customer service and credibility.

They also have their own line of watches, Seiko, and they are also a Luminox dealer. Lots of engagement and wedding rings too.

We were pretty discouraged about the whole ring shopping experience and feeling rather hopeless. We went to Will Jewelers and they were just fantastic. Throughout the process, Dixie was so patient and helpful – and the family in general was great to work with, very personable, and respectful. We later bought a contemporary men’s wedding band there as well. We returned yet again to have them redesign a pair of Sapphire earrings and they did a wonderful job. We have since moved out of the area and live 2.5 hours away. However, when we have an occasion to buy jewelry again, we’ll definitely make the trip to Will Jewelers. They are the real deal.

Hannah Snyder: Although some of the staff was very nice and helpful, my experience at Will with my wedding and engagement ring was very negative. My fiancee did not get my engagement ring from Will Jewelers, but both my mom and grandma had been customers of Will's for YEARS. I went in eager to pick out my wedding band from a family owned business with great selections and prices. I decided to purchase a wedding band from Will's and left my engagement ring with them for a day for them to make sure the two rings fit together well. When I returned to pick up my rings the following day They were both beautiful. I drove down the street and felt that my engagement ring was fitting incorrectly to how it fit before (I would know because I wear it everyday). I pulled over and inspected my ring and realized that not only was it falling off my finger but the engraving on the inside of my band was also gone. I took it back immediately and they informed me that whoever worked on the engagement ring "had to make the ring bigger to fit with the wedding band which also removed the engraving." I would also like to clarify that I never got a call regarding this "problem" they were having with my engagement ring. This was a major lapse in judgement. The man that also helped me when I returned to the store made a comment along the lines of "the engagement ring won't fall off your finger when you are wearing it with your wedding band." Sir, that must have been a joke because I am not getting married for another YEAR. I am supposed to walk around with my engagement ring falling off now apparently because "it will fit the wedding band." They wanted to make the situation right so they made my engagement ring back to the original size and only made adjustments to the wedding band I purchased from them. They added an engraving back to my engagement ring as well, but I feel as if the situation was only partially corrected. My engagement ring from my fiancee now has a different engraving and I feel like the integrity was altered because of someones lapse in judgement. My suggestion would be to make it very very clear what you expect them to do. I should have gotten a call before my engagement ring was altered at all because it was not their ring to mess with. I still feel like the situation was not properly resolved. I was not offered any sort of discount or reimbursement from them even though I received my engagement ring back in an altered state from how I dropped it off. Very disappointing. My feelings were pushed off when I tried to convey my unhappiness with their judgement and they just kept telling me the ring was "beautiful." I feel slighted by the opinions or decisions they made without my consent.

I was told this after I explained I did not want a high interest rate.Took a couple months of paying bills to notice I was being charged interest when I was sold the ring under the impression my payment plan would include no interest for a certain time.I called to try to get it sorted out and was denied. Needless to say I paid my total balance closed my account and plan on never shopping at Kay again.Advice: Choose a different Jewelry provider that won’t lie about a deal to get you to buy an expensive ring.

I found a ring on Saturday went home to think on it and Monday came back in and said you know I’m not in love with that one so he said let’s look again. I also told him that one was very high priced and we felt stressed about the payments. So I found one that made me cry and it was basically $1000 cheaper. He said that’s what we are looking for the tears. The fact he didn’t make us feel pressured to stay with that expensive ring made us very comfortable. Thank you Chuck for a 5 star rating service.

Greg Bright: After waiting for over an hour, with one person in front of me and 3 workers, I was finally seen. All I wanted was a watch band for my existing watch. She measured my wrist and sent in the watch to be "repaired". I figured I may have to wait a couple weeks being that it was only a watch band (that I paid $99 for). After 2 months, I received the watch and the band wouldn't even fit a child, let alone me. So I went to the Marion store to drop it off as instructed and the lady there was very rude and didn't even want to give me a receipt. After 2 more weeks I contacted this store again and they said it was sent back in. I am now sitting at 3 months with no watch that only needed a band. I will never ever go to a Kay Jewelers for the rest of my life. Me and my fiance will be going else where for our rings. It was a horrible horrible experience

We found one we liked at the Kay's out north and we were told they could give us 15% off, but wanted to shop around a little bit.After going to other places and not finding anything else he liked just as much he went to this Kay's by our house to see if they had the same ring. He went in and met with Amy and she put the ring aside for us. She told him she would only give him 10% off. So I came in after work to purchase it.When I was ready to check out another clerk was helping us, since Amy was assisting other customers. I asked her what type of price she could get us since the Kay's out North offered 15% off. She said she would check the computer.As I was looking for something in my purse, unknowingly, Amy left the customers she was helping and snuck over to the clerk helping me across the room and started whispering things to her. As I looked up she stopped and pretended to talk about something random.Amy then walked away to resume helping the customers she left by themselves, so she could come and whisper to the clerk helping me. The clerk then pretended to press buttons and said 10% off is what we can do. So I asked if that is what Amy was whispering to her about and she said yes. I was incredibly uncomfortable and appalled that someone would be so sneaky to avoid matching the discount at the same store across town.I found it unprofessional and embarrassing for her to do this, all to avoid giving me 5 extra percent off. Which was the difference of $18.I will never return after having someone act so unprofessional to save $18 and lose a customer.

Andrew Gasaway: It's a great store and they have an actual factory on site. It's ideal for custom pieces. They have a gemologist which most stores in town don't. It's the only place that ever stocks your A brand Swiss watches in. Fort Wayne. Most jewelers just have your Hamilton, Seiko ect. Their diamond prices are where you can be as a jeweler. It's probably the best local jeweler.

Theresa Smith: I stopped by the new PETER FRANKLIN JEWELERS on my way to work for a battery replacement for my watch. I was provided great feedback on new location so I had to see for myself. I was greeted by Jackie, whom was eager to help and super sweet. Another young lady swooped up my watch for the repair while I perused the cases and spoke with Jackie a bit. I asked about a recent event they held upstairs in their private event space and Brandon the manager stepped out to reply. I ended up getting a tour of the facility (gorgeous!) and the best part they took great care of me, no charge! I hope I can pay it forward with this review. If you haven't been, stop by. It's going to be a great space for small events and they are local and support local. Did I mention the gorgeous jewels.....yeah. There is something special for everyone!

Sarah Bricker: I wanted to trust Peter Franklin with my business, but they made our relationship complicated. What makes the industry of fine jewelry repair most challenging is that they hold the fate of expensive sentimental items in their hands. In 2016, my engagement ring was bent in half in an accident during my first year of marriage; I was devastated. PF repaired it and returned it to me looking exactly as it had when it was gifted to me from my fiancé. I was deeply grateful beyond measure, and I began to bring all my jewelry to PF for cleanings, repairs, etc. After the ring, I can’t recall one repair that went the way it should have – two pairs of earrings and a necklace were “repaired” multiple times for the same issue. The floor manager was unapologetic, and I was often subtly led to believe that there wouldn’t be a charge, but at pickup would be quoted a cost (or they would offer me a price range for a quote, and the cost was always the max of the range). When I inquired about any of it, I would receive salesy excuses. Six years later, my engagement ring fell apart (the center diamond fell out, and the shank cracked in half) from “wear and tear” according to PF. I account for some of this being that the structural integrity of the piece was affected by the initial accident, but no ring should become unwearable after six years if it was properly repaired. PF agreed to repair some parts of the ring again without charge, but not others. Mind you, the ring did not sustain any new traumas, and before it broke the second time, PF had inspected it less than a week prior, and gave it a passing grade. Eventually, we came to an understanding where they felt I was made whole by the few repairs they made at no charge (which at this point I wasn’t sure I could even rely on), and I did not agree. I don’t doubt that the Market Manager I worked with sincerely wanted to make things right, or that their head jeweler was very skilled, but at the end of the day it seemed they were more interested in making sales rather than making amends. Once I chose a new local jeweler of 30+ years, and explained my situation, he then shared with me that PF used to be owned by a pair of brothers – a jeweler and a business man. The jeweler passed away relatively recently, may he rest in peace, and the businessman was left to run the company. Since then, he noticed more customers coming to his shop with complaints about the quality of PF’s work being less than satisfactory, and he noticed more PF locations opening around Northern Indiana. Take that as you will. I was impressed with the facility itself (on Dupont); it has a very wide selection of jewelry for men and women, and it is beautiful, professional, and clean. I am grateful for their service to me, but I have since lost trust.
