Faith Schlatter: If there had been an option to select no stars, I would have. Like all the reviews are saying, I should have read them. I chose to cancel my reservation of tent, table, and chairs even though I was not given a refund. It was an awful customer service experience.
Hana Herrmann: Do not use this company. I wish I had read the reviews before me so I didn’t have to write this one. Incredibly short/rude phone conversations that either misrepresent or leave important information out. I was upsold more chairs than I needed for my wedding, and there is a cancellation fee to not use the ones we do not need. Early on I asked if a regular truck would be enough space to transport these chairs (because they’re short staffed and not equipped to do all the deliveries that are being requested), and I am now finding out I’m going to need to rent a box truck for the weekend because our truck won’t do. Bob Mutton quoted us a slightly higher cost, but with all of this new information, their quote was actually cheaper. You get what you pay for, learning that the hard way with A Party Apart.
Kristin & Brad Huff: We rented a griddle for the Johnny Appleseed festival and the teflon coating was coming off on the food. It was so disgusting, we could not use it. I contacted them about a refund and they "have not had time to look at it" for two weeks now. These people will rent you junk. Spend your money at Bob Mutton instead!
Richelle Reeves: I reached out to A Party Apart 4 months in advance of my event regarding hiring them to create a balloon garland for my event. Initially, in the discovery phase the owner appeared to be responsive; however, when the time came to solidify the details of the transaction the owner’s customer service and organization skills were really bad (not responding to e-mails and/or phone calls). Their communication was so bad that I mentioned it to the venue where I was hosting my event and they offered to reach out to A Party Apart on my behalf. I know you’re thinking why did I go through with dealing with A Party A Apart. My daughter really wanted the balloon garland and we were at a point where I couldn’t find another company to do it. A Party Apart didn’t take the time to discuss the design, pattern, and or the balloon size and options. The owner informed me that their website was obsolete which is unprofessional and it shouldn’t be used as an opportunity for A Party A Party to come up with high cost that they don’t offer a point of reference.to verify. The owner charged me nearly $1,000 to create, deliver, set up and pick up a balloon garland that lacked luster and didn’t have the color pattern and balloon size that I paid for two times over. This company is a prime example of unorganized chaos. I would never and I do mean never recommend or hire A Party Apart for anything.
Kimm Loewen: I’m giving this place a one star I’d give it a zero if that was possible. Their customer service at first was great until I received the equipment. We ordered a dunk tank a helium tank and along with the dunk tank came six balls. When we got the dunk tank for the first 45 minutes it it did not work properly. We called someone to come out and fix it for us. I asked if there was possibly a chance of getting a refund for that hour they said I’d have to check with management. Then on the day of pic up they were supposed to come get it on a Friday , which after two phone calls on eta time the finally came and got the dunk tank. They came when I was not up front and left without taking the other equipment. So I called them back, however they didn’t have time to come back that day so I tried to arrange for them to come get it on a Saturday which is not normal business hours for our Community and some miscommunication on our end the door where the equipment was stored ended up being locked and no one had anyway to get into it. The dunk tank was picked up on Friday because it was outside however it was pouring down rain and so I did not leave the helium tank and the balls outside with the dunk tank, which According to them I should have done anyway Because they expect all the equipment to be together when they come to get it. All the pick up person would have had to do is come to the front door and he would have seen that the helium tank and the box of balls was there waiting for him. he would’ve had to walk 3 yards to do that. because when they came to get the dunk tank on Friday and the other equipment was not there we got charged another pick up fee to pick up the rest of the equipment. But because the rest of the equipment was not available for them on Saturday we did not get the refund for the use of the malfunctioning dunk tank. And I have to take back the helium tank and the balls or get charged another pick up Fee. So I got punished because it was raining and I did not have all the equipment together. So if you rent equipment from this company even if there’s a tornado outside please make sure you have all the equipment together. Or you will get charged a pick up fee because I guess no extra effort can be put into making sure all the equipment is there.
Shaherah Gaines: Not sure if the pandemic has brought out the rudeness in companies, but as a consumer spending my hard earned money, it is unacceptable! I called on 6/ 12/21, to get a quote on a helium tank, the lady answered the phone was very rude! Asked me to hold on and then hung up! When i called back, she didn’t apologize for hanging up, just very rudely gave me quote. I then had other questions about rental supplies and delivery, and she just cut me off and quickly answered what she thought was the question. Due to this lady’s attitude, I will not be ever renting from there, will go somewhere else where The company has good customer service!

rafael de zendegui: I just rented some wine glassware from A party Apart for an event I hosted and I was so disappointed with the quality of the wine glasses sent to me. Me and some colleagues spent 1 1/2 trying to polish and clean the glasses to look halfway decent we no luck. Due to a time restraint we had to just use the glasses as they were. I was so embarrassed when my customers started to arrive. I will never order from A Part Apart again. The 2 stars are for the service provided prior to the quality issue.
Mason Judt: I probably won't ever rent from A Party Apart again. I used them for ceiling draping and a GOBO light for my wedding. The prices were very high and when we got to the venue the light was not in the correct spot. When I tried calling, I was sent to a voicemail box that was full. I was very frustrated with the lack of communication and professionalism. We were also told we would be able to keep our GOBO light following the reception and that was not the case.

Sabrina Huskins: I rented chairs and a PA system for a wedding. Unfortunately the day was extremely rainy and cold. This did not stop A Party Apart from delivering my chairs on time and getting me a new PA system when the one they brought wasn't working perfectly. They set everything up and cleaned up the chairs afterwards which i am sure was an ordeal with the rain. It was a wonderful day despite this and they did an amazing job!

Muse: We emailed about a slushie machine rental on Monday afternoon and got a quote. They told us we could come in and sign a contract and pay whenever. We didn't have time to stop by until Thursday morning the same week, three days later. When we showed up my fiance let them know he had a quote and needed to sign a contract. They told us we didn't have a quote and couldn't get one because the machines were no longer available for rental. At first whoever was working there didn't want to pull up our emails to check even after we specified that we already had a quote. We were then told that on the end of the work day on Monday, they received a notice that they were no longer to rent out the machines for whatever reason, and thus, because we didn't sign a contract and hadn't paid yet, told us on Thursday morning when we got there that they couldn't honor our quote and wouldn't let us rent. I understand that, I really do. But how hard would it have been to send an email to us to let us know that before we wasted our time coming in? Especially if you were notified the literal day that we were inquiring about it. That is poor customer service. We won't be renting from here and will be letting our friends and family know not to as well. You handled this poorly. We will be going somewhere else for our needs.Have a nice day.

Katelyn High: I wanted to let you know that I am frankly displeased with your service.I tried to handle the situation without putting Bob Mutton employees or All Occasions employees in a pinch.Instead of checking the linen on site today while I was already in Fort Wayne, I now have to drive all the way back there and try to re-exchange linen, because I got a call 4 hours later that the linen returned was "not acceptable".I am sorry that we caused you any inconvenience about the linen in the first place, but this is now completely disrespectful that I will have to spend another 1/2 day (running as a middle man) in between two companies, as I was trying to resolve this issue. Your employees could have frankly helped with the situation when I was at the shop today, and didn't. That is not excellent customer service.Positive reviews will not be left, and you have lost all future business with any of our businesses. We will be renting from Taylor Rental and All Occassions for any future rental needs.
Rheannen Adams: Our Roaring 20's NYE party wouldn't have been the same, without Mutton! From the early emails with Lizanne, to the pick-up process with the warehouse - everything was PERFECT! Even though we only had 6 tables at our party they were the perfect addition, for those that didn't want to sit. We worked with Alishya and Mutton's for a 300 person tented wedding in Indiana - she helped put everything together from the ground up and was SO helpful making sure we weren't missing anything! We had a large tent, dancefloor, mobile restrooms, catering tent, plates, napkins, bars, chairs - literally every detail. Alishya was very responsive to emails and had such a calming demeanor it always made us feel taken care of. I would give 10 stars if I could and will definitely recommend them to anyone!

James Stegmann: We worked with Marc for our wedding in September 2022. We had booked with the importance of having a DJ that could mix and also have the cloud dance. We were asked to fill out forms with all of our requests prior to a zoom call to virtually meet. Marc had technical difficulties and said he hadn't received our forms, but we were able to send them again with no problem. Marc had said his brother would be helping him the day of the event to assist with the cloud dance. On the day of the event, we had to change our order of events because the cloud machine was taking too long to get warmed up, and Marc's brother was not present. Marc did a good job of juggling everything to make it work. The cloud dance was awesome! I believe he played all of our song requests, but I had wished that we specified that we wanted to dance to them, as most were played during the dinner when everyone was eating. We had a wide range of genres in music requests, and Marc did a good job covering them, though we did have to ask for a certain song that was on our "must play" list to be played. Overall, pretty decent experience. Thanks!

He was responsive via email leading up to our wedding, and he was timely and professional the day of. Dan honored all of my very particular requests and did not stray from the script. He followed our timeline perfectly and kept events moving all night. After the wedding, I got feedback from a few people saying they hadn't stayed to the end of a wedding dancing in a very long time, and Dan played a big part in that. Chantel Clark: Alomar Entertainment is by FAR the best DJ in the area!! Jamari’s was absolutely amazing and he NAILED our wedding night. We had asked for a not-too well known cover as our cake cutting song and I was expecting it to be the wrong version. When the song started playing and it was the exact version we asked for I got way too excited! He got the vibe of our reception right away and there was not a dull part of the night! Jacob O'Dell: I'm not sure if this was an off day for them, but our experience with Alomar seems vastly different from all the five-star reviews I've seen. The ceremony itself went fine and the DJ (Jason, I believe) was great at communicating with everyone. He followed his cues perfectly and there were no issues. Everything seemed fine until the actual reception started.With the announcement at the start of the reception, the song for the bride and groom's announcement did not start playing until they had almost reached their table. It was a small slip, but problems continued from there. The bride and groom provided Alomar with a specific playlist prior to the wedding that was almost 6 hours long - long enough that it would have lasted the entire reception and then some. However, this playlist did not get played. At least three people on separate occasions asked the DJ if they had received the playlist, knowing the songs which had been played were nowhere on it. Each time, he patted something on his area and said, "Yup, I've got it right here. I should be able to get through most of it." And then he went back to ignoring the playlist. He did not actually start playing anything from it until the groom went over and asked, to which he finally did start playing it, but only a few songs and not the explicit versions which the couple had requested. If there was a problem with the playlist, that problem should have been discussed ahead of time. Instead, the DJ essentially went rogue until enough people asked him to stick to the script and then switched it back and thought people wouldn't notice.However, worse than not playing the requested playlist was the behavior of the DJ when people started talking to him after the groom talked to him. The DJ cussed out multiple guests when they requested songs or asked why he had gone back to not playing the playlist. I understand getting frustrated after a long day of working, but that's simply not acceptable in any industry, let alone one where personal interactions are so common.I wouldn't be so hyperbolic as to say the wedding was ruined by the poor DJ experience in this case. Lots of people still had a good time, but there is the feeling that they could have had a much better time had the DJ stuck to the songs which were requested. At the end of the day, though, Alomar was contracted and paid to provide a service. Failing to play the previously agreed upon playlist ultimately represents a failure to provide that service. If you are going to ignore the playlist, do not request it, as you are creating the expectation that the playlist will actually be played. And even if the playlist had been followed, cussing out several wedding guests simply crosses a line. That kind of behavior is unacceptable. Again, maybe it was just a bad night for them, but their bad night was someone else's big night, a once-in-a-lifetime experience which they won't get back. To say I am sincerely disappointed with this service is an understatement.TL;DR - ceremony was fine, didn't play requested playlist despite multiple requests, cussed out several guests.Update: Shortly after this review was posted, Alomar called the bride and groom (the day after their wedding) to complain about this review which they did not write. A professional response would have been to reach out to the reviewer and find out what went wrong and why they had that experience. A little communication goes a long way, and if this would have happened, there's a good chance this rating would have gone up without prompting. But the overly aggressive reaction to this review (and towards the couple, who had nothing to do with it being posted) simply cemented my previous opinion.

Mindy Sly: So Unprofessional. – Almost ruined the wedding day! HE WAS A NO SHOW!The bride (mind you, 60-year-old women – 2nd marriage) found and booked Michael for the wedding. Then I (her mid 30s daughter) and wedding planner/MOH help take over the day of events.With a poorly formatted word document sent prior to the wedding I took it upon myself to touch base 1 week prior to the wedding date to talk to the DJ. He was providing ceremony music/microphone & services for the reception as well. We had a phone conversation, and all was great- Looking forward to the event!On the Monday after our call, he sent the final balance notice to the bride via PayPal request… As the other vendors have done so we can just click and pay on the day of the wedding to avoid any cash/check exchange. No further communication was had & all was well – (we thought!!)The morning of the event I got a text message stating “For some reason I still have not received final balance payment. I need payment before I head out”. Meaning he will not leave to come to the event unless he has his FULL PAYMENT in hand.First off, this was the 1st time I am hearing of this, and we have had NO COMMUNICATION with him for 3+ months regarding payments. Taken back by this request I stated I was unaware of this policy and was not with the bride at this moment – again MORNING OF THE WEDDING!! I was setting up the reception hall while she was getting ready and headed to the venue.My reply was that I will get the money as soon as I see the bride so I can log onto her PayPal. We spoke on the phone briefly and his final words to me were – “ Let me know when you make payment and I will leave my place in 15 minutes then”!I made payment 40 minutes later with a text reply to the DJ that payment was processed.We go about our day & from the venue a family member texts me 40 min before the ceremony that the DJ was a NO SHOW!!!! I texted & called him 2 times within 10 minutes. Along with countless other family reaching out to Michael – He AVOIDED US ALL NIGHT LONG!Come to find out at some point during the day he decided that he was not going to come to the wedding because he didn’t like my attitude of questioning final payment before a service was rendered.
