Bowen Center: what do users think?
Ian Mcdonald: Awesome 😎
Katelyn Rice: I had an amazing therapist I saw for a little less than a year. I had given up on therapy because it never helped me, but I was struggling and decided to try Bowen Center. It was going so well and I was so happy with my therapist. Then my appointment got cancelled and rescheduled 3 times in a row. The 4th time I got the text saying my appointment was cancelled because my therapist is no longer with Bowen Center. I got no warning or proper last session. That text was it, not even a phone call. It really upset me. I do not recommend Bowen Center.
2.5Raccoons: Meds ran out and I've been trying to get a nurse on the phone for the last 2 days with no luck, likely going to stop going.
Heather Conley: I am posting this review for my boyfriend Andy. Thanks to Julie Hicks . He was able to get his refills last min. And was actually called back with quickness and care. Much Appreciated.!!!!!!! Also if it wasn't for Melissa Terry his new doctor getting back to us with quickness never would have got medicine. So once again had very nice experience today
Tammy Sisler (Seed Sprout Haven): I only give this so called counseling center a 1 star because I wouldn’t be able to post if I didn’t rate them. This center is worthless. Always rescheduling and not concerned with my granddaughters mental health. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE BOWEN CENTER. read the other reviews. I’m not the only one that is dissatisfied!
KatieBeth Corcran: You would think with the number of times that I speak with the Bowen Center they would eventually use the correct pronouns for my spouse. I am tired of them getting misgendered every single time I call. I said "spouse". You do not need to repeat "husband" back to me.
Barbara Sullivan: The Drs and therapists are great but the front desk staff don't care how many people are in line and how long the line is. They will comtinuto poke around, eat, drink, play around etc.
Nic Berry: I went to Bowen Center while in distress some months ago. I was looking for a specific kind of therapy, and they told me they had it. I went in for the first meeting, and the therapist told me her plan was inspired by what I need but not actually what I need. I left it there and moved on to another therapist elsewhere. Some weeks after, I called Bowen to ask what I owed them. They told me there were no charges on my account. Again, I left it there and wasn't going to worry about it. Today, a week before Christmas, I found a letter in my mailbox telling me I owed them money. It has been over four months. I am not impressed. Merry Christmas.
Ashley Pitt: For four months in a row I have had Dr. Ghori as my psychiatrist. I've run out of my psychiatric medication every single month because Dr. Ghori doesn't fill the prescription on time. This time it has been 9 days without my meds and still waiting. Not only that, but my psychiatrist never remembers anything talked about in our session nor does she look at my chart to remind herself therefore it is so repetitive. She seems to like the sound of her own voice rather than helping people. My first session with her, she refused to take my diagnosis seriously because I received it from a team of psychiatrists online, meanwhile I'm talking to her through a screen. That's another thing, they have you come all the way to their clinic and then sit you down in front of a TV to talk to someone who isn't really there. It's all virtual, and very rushed. I've expressed thoughts of suicide without my medication and it really seems this clinic could care less.
Andrea Kendrick: If I could give zero stars I would this place is a joke! My son had two appointment for this month at 4pm and received a call for both to be canceled. I told them before I couldn’t do anything before 4pm now I have to wait all the way until March to get a appointment but for it to only be at 9am. I’m not able to come that early and she said that’s all they had. Remember I didn’t CANCEL the appointment Bowen Center did. Not to mention the front desk people are very rude! I’ll never recommend this place to anyone!!
Baby Girl: Educate the people you have messing with peoples mental health and lives!! Absolutely disgusting staff with no knowledge on certain topics but they think they can spread misinformation. People look up to these individuals for guidance, resources and help. DO BETTER!!!
OPPS SORRY: My kid's I pad & phone was stolen from our car we when in for about 5 minutes.... they should take that sign DOWN
Rita: I’ve been with Bowen for over a year now and absolutely love love love my providers, but their back office is a nightmare to deal with. First, they have caused me to run out of psychiatric medication several many times now which causes debilitating withdrawals for my body. I called at 1:30 pm on a Friday and there was no where I could be transferred to at all to get my refill which they promised to send last week. I was just told “all of the nurses are out” so once again I’ll get to spend days being bed ridden. Don’t even try to leave a voicemail for the nurses; it’s a waste of time because no one will ever get it or get back with you.Second, the company I work for has been difficult to deal with to get accommodations, but Bowen has managed to outdo all incompetent HR people I’ve dealt with. A process that I was quoted would take a maximum of two weeks took two MONTHS. Paperwork would habitually be lost over and over again or never sent where it needed to go. Notes that I made on changes that were needed on paperwork would never get communicated. I would call every morning and be transferred around between medical records and nurses and front desk people who would promise they’d get it taken care of just to lose it again the very next day. The worst.Third, some people who work there are an absolute menace to deal with. Completely incompetent and extraordinarily unprofessional. On one occasion in particular a few months ago when none of the nurses could manage to send a prescription, I ended up calling their inpatient hospital to find any doctor on call because my withdrawal symptoms were so intense. The nurse who picked up mocked me and insinuated that I was high on illicit drugs and just looking for another fix (even though my medications are not addictive or controlled substances). My boyfriend, a smart and level headed white man with a white voice, stepped into the phone conversation with this nurse just to have the nurse continue to mock me and ask over and over again “are you sureeee she not on something? You know. Like you catch my drift, right”.If you just need a good therapist or a good psychiatrist, they are here. But if you need medication or inpatient services or anything else at all from their back office: RUN.
Jan McDormett: My daughter has been depressed for 4 months, Bimola did nothing. She was going to prescribe a medicine that my daughter had already used with no success did not seem to take this seriously I would not recommend Bowen Center, or bimola to anyone. They cancelled a appt for my daughter becouse Bimola was out of office and told me the next available appointment was three weeks away, that’s too long when you’re going through a deep depression. We went elsewhere and are having much more success with my daughters depression.
Joshua Fancher: I contacted this place yesterday because my mental health is in a VERY poor state right now. They scheduled me for a video session for this morning at 1130 am. I went to sign on and the appointment had been canceled. I called and they apologized and scheduled me an appointment for today at 1pm. 15 minutes till I went to sign in and the appointment had been canceled again. I called back and was informed that I had an appointment for next friday. I explained that I have rescheduled this same appointment twice already today and was told that the soonest they could get me in is next Monday. When I originally spoke with them they were "concerned" and said that I was high priority because of being unstable and off my meds for 2 years. If you are in need of actual help, you'd be better off pretty much anywhere else.
Disco Dan: I've struggled with ADHD since childhood and been on and off medication my whole life. Never been on adderall, by the way. Went here because my usual clinic apparently can't prescribe medicine for ADHD only to be told I need to be rediagnosed. I'm in my 30s. ADHD does not go away and it's still severely impacting my life, and it has been every time I've been diagnosed, including in adulthood. But no, to these people anyone who comes in with ADHD is just a junkie looking for addy. Nice.Fifteen minutes is all I got to be asked a bunch of routine questions I could have filled out on paper myself, and then denied, all while this lady acted like she didn't want to deal with me. I'll just continue to self-medicate with less healthy options, I guess. Lucky me.
María Emilio Nuñez: It makes me really sad to see how many people have had awful experiences here as my experiences have been wonderful for the most part. I don't know why there's such a discrepancy. Maybe it's because I only go here for talk therapy and I don't have to deal with billing due to having no income. My therapist is very kind and helpful, and I've made great progress becoming a healthier and happier person since I started seeing her. She's also LGBT+ friendly, makes me feel safe and supported and listened to. I'd recommend her to anyone with issues like mine.I've never really had a problem with front desk staff being rude to me or long wait times for appointments.I do have some minor complaints, some of which line up with major complaints from other people. I have had one of those fake-out appointments scheduled before (when they tell you when your next appointment is but don't put it in the books on their end so you don't actually have an appointment), they can't seem to request skills training approval from the correct part of my insurance to get it approved, they have gendered single stall restrooms right around the corner from signage claiming to be a safe space for trans people, and their automated door opener for the outside door of their building has worked maybe twice in the year that I've been going despite my reporting that it's broken constantly.
LaQueena Kashani: I’d give zero stars but that isn’t an option.I was referred here from Avenues and have Drug Court requirements to fulfill.I had a med check on Thursday to get refills and now on Tuesday they still haven’t been filled. The psychiatrist that I was assigned to isn’t available when I’m off work and I have to make an appointment in order for her to release me, so I will be missing work, because she has summer hours. They’ve loaded me up with “referrals” to classes. This place isn’t “pro-recovery”, it’s PRO-money. I would’ve preferred park center. And I would not recommend this place to anyone. The pharmacy that is there is the only awesome Department there.
Alyssa Lukins: Saw a psychiatrist today who took two phone calls during my appointment and disregarded what I was saying. I felt rushed through my therapy intake and my psych intake. I gave them my insurance last time, but I come in today and they said I have a balance of $150. This does not at all make me want to continue to get help. My friend killed himself in February because of how much it costs to get help and the fact that there’s little to no professionals willing to genuinely listen and help. Not only is it expensive, but you’re not even getting the services your paying for as well.
pat kenworthy: Find another place, your only a number here.2 appointments I showed up there the Dr was never scheduled to work those days.1 phone appointment at was scheduled, I never received the phone call the day it was scheduled for.Was referred there by my Dr. With his reason and they treated me for something that my Dr had control of not what he prescribed them to do.After 4 trips there I found this out insurance got involved and demanded repayment for wrong treatment. There's better places out there where your treated like a person and not a payday
Cassandra Sutton: Bowen center is a joke. Twice they have cancelled my appointment on the day of the appointment and LIED and said they called to tell me. I’ve received no such calls. Bowen center is supposed to help. I only find them hurting. When I show up twice for an appointment just to be told it’s been cancelled and then I get lied to I would expect the staff to go above and beyond to fix the issue but no.

Parkview Behavioral Health Institute - Park Center: what do users think?
Haylee Baird: I stayed there in April of last year and i felt as if the psychiatrist did not care about what I had to say, and I had nurse who was very condescending about something personal in my life, I wish they were kinder there
Amanda Dehmiri: They make me look like the crazy mom calling all the time , because they NEVER address the problem and call back. I’m over it. We are changing dr.’s. They are too busy to see more patients that’s for sure.
miranda riggs: It's almost impossible to get services started in a swift manner. They are severely understaffed and it shows with rushed appointments (even though patients are often left waiting well after their appointment time), rude receptionists, and lack of communication with patients. As Parkview continues it's monopolization of healthcare in this area, it's only going to get worse. Parkview needs to treat patients like people and not just a number.
Karlie Berg: This place does not care at all about you. They canceled my appt without telling me until I get there, made me wait 3 hours to write up a refill on a prescription that they never filled. a month later come to find it was never filled called it in right away with 2 pills left, no response, called again next day pretty much said they will get to it when they get to it. now today going into severe withdraw on the medication extremely sick and they still said they will get to it when they can! do not go here!!!
Claire: This place is ridiculously bad. Some jerk that works there named Jose apparently canceled our appointment that we had today. Nobody requested it to be canceled. Now it’s three months before we can see our provider. This is literally the worst place we’ve ever dealt with. Stay away.
mac c: Will only accept you if you're going to hurt yourself or someone else and will only offer hydroxyzine for anxiety it's no wonder why the mental health is insane in this country it starts at the quality of care
Karen Stir: The building is so dreary that if you weren't depressed when you got there you would be when you left. The NP seeing me however was kind and seemed interested in my problems.
Kory Ley: I'd leave a 0 star review if possible. Been battling mental illness for 4 years. I actually got stable/stayed out of the hospital for 3 straight years- Until my Park Center NP took 1-2 weeks to refill my psych meds. 5 refill requests, couple calls- Nothing. Had to Battle suicidal/homicidal thoughts without my meds for a week. Finally had to go to the hospital. Admitted for 8 hours and sent home with my meds refilled. 10,000 dollar medical bill because my NP couldn't refill my meds.
Ggooffyy Channel: No one answers the phones except the one person who is not able to help me with my situation. Very unprofessional, the first lady told lies just to get me off the phone, and waited 3 weeks and not even an update on my Mychart. Just a whole lot of stalling and pure laziness while dealing with these people. Do not go here if you aren’t required to!
Doug: They don't care. I have been trying to reach someone because I'm having s crisis. They don't answer and they don't return calls. It's terrible. I don't know what in going to do. Please don't make the mistake I did by putting your mental health in their hands
Brendan Keen: Prescribed a medication to someone I know, a medication which must be tapered if stopped. Park Center cancelled appointments on them multiple times, and then refused to refill the medication over the phone because they hadn’t been seen. This is unacceptable and I would discourage anyone from seeking care here — they may well leave you worse off due to their incompetence.
Yolanda Kelley: I would give 0 stars of I could. My son (12) was taking counseling, at the initial evaluation the counselor( Liaamia M.) wanted my son to see someone who she thought was more qualified. He seen Erin maybe 4 times at the most, she called that she had to reschedule his appointment and then wouldn't even be at the building for the follow up she scheduled. Erin left then my son got transferred back to Liaamia M. where she made it clear she didn't want to see my son because he seems fine(even though this is only the 2nd time she had talked/seen him). When I requested that he transfer to a different counselor Liaamia M. called me and kept INSISTING that no one in the office will be comfortable meeting with him because he seemed fine and he didn't want to be there. I felt pressured to cancel his medical appointment(which he waited for over 6 months) and find him another facility to help him because I feel that Liaamia M. would purposely go to the other counselor's and tell them anything for them to not see my son out of spite. Just plain horrible. The only good thing is the receptionist was very kind and understanding.
Robert: Worst place ever! Absolute worse service! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! DO NOT SIGN UP HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT! Just look at the reviews!! 2.1 stars! Speaks for itself!! They don't help you! They just make your situation worse!
Maggie Bequette: The staff here are very nice, but they never answer the phone. In person they are super helpful and understanding, but it seems like they're very understaffed.
john fesler: Extremely professional staff. Very caring and helpful with my issues. Made me realize that I wasn't alone with my issues. I reccomend this to friends and family.
Shelby Marshall: Doctor actually listened to me and helped me out a lot
Jamie Larrison: My husband was having severe panic attacks and Suicidal Thoughts. Our doctor referred him to Park Center and it took them 5 months to set up his care. After they called and did the initial interview appointment it took another three to four weeks before he actually got a counselor. He had one counseling session then they canceled the next two appointments last minute with no notice and the last appointment she never called. So in nine months time they managed one appointment. Mental health is a serious issue and they could get somebody killed by not providing necessary services. The counselor was nice for the one appointment she showed up, but that's not enough for me to recommend anyone to ever go to this place.
Toni Lyons: I see why the reviews are horrible. My son had an appointment to get diagnosed and received a treatment plan. First red flag I noticed was they had us waiting and it took a lady who worked there had to find someone to see us.. then the therapist didn't give me an answer about his diagnosis or treatment..I was told I'd receive an call back with more details. A week passed and I tried calling them myself. I was hung up on 4 times . I had to reach the crisis hotless to get any type of help I was then transferred to a voice message system.... still not helpful this is horrible my 4 year old is suffering and these people are giving folks the run around.. something needs to be done about this
Ericka O'Donnell: Only part of this place that doesn’t deserve this one star review is my therapist. He’s great at what he does and is the only reason why I’m still at park center. He’s gets a full 5 stars. Now to start the one star review, every single time I’ve come to park center (except for therapy) my time is again wasted and my appointments get rescheduled for months later even after expressing major concerns with prescription medications.Even when I’m told to call a nurse to express these concerns, I’ve had nothing but rude and unprofessional phone calls (if their phones are even working) which resulted in me being more upset and stressed out about my original situation. For a brief example, I went in for my psychiatrist appointment this morning. After being misinformed about where to check in, we later were informed that our appointment time changed to 15 minutes later, no big deal, but then after spending 20 long minutes “waiting for a response” for a question for my psychiatrist (who was supposed to already be in the building considering my original appointment time)regarding my appointment, only for her to walk in the doors after my appointment should have started, we were unprofessionally told to reschedule.I thought park center was supposed to help better my mental health, but in some ways, it has added more unnecessary stress and anxiety.
Jessica Cronin: Tired of this place... Case management not following through, not calling at scheduled time and not given notice of why... Even had a case manger that NEVER called the whole time I had her... Appointments being pushed back weeks. Almost impossible getting hold of a nurse. Care team constantly changing and shuffled around. Almost no continuity of care/stability. Hard to get proper mental health treatment when there is no stability...ONLY staying here because I have no other choice. I really feel bad for the ones who aren't higher functioning...
BadBitch TV: I am a patient and Park center and I have called them nine times in one week because my doctor is retiring and I still have yet to get a call back to have my meds filled
