Parkview Physicians Group - Neurology: what do users think?
Crystal Morgan: I had an EMG performed for the first time today by Dr. Christopher Vachon. He made me feel very relaxed and comfortable, so this experience was not as bad as I thought it would be. All staff were very friendly, as always.
Awesome Amber: Vivian is a wonderful nurse practitioner that listens to her patients and provides caring support. When I message her on mychart, quite often she gives me a call to respond so that the issue may be taken care of more efficiently. You don't see that kind of dedication from providers anymore and it's refreshing to experience such thoughtful guidance, awareness, and attentiveness.
Jessica Prater: Staff was very rude to my husband during his visit. It's as if they were not listening and actually got rude with him when he was explaining his seizures as they had asked him to do.
Jane Kuhfahl: Would love to leave ZERO stars! Parkview neurology had no idea what a somatosensory test was, nor where to have it done. Thank goodness that IU Health in Indy does!
Matt Arnold: Parkview physicians seem to have a reputation of not working together as your healthcare team. I was told by my family physician that neurologist would explain and answer my questions regarding a mass found in my pituitary on an MRI. When I met with neurology, they told me they don't deal with the pituitary gland and couldn't answer any of my MRI questions. I have yet to hear anything from endocrinologist office. Still no answers about my abnormal MRI. And all the neurologist wants to do is run me through a bunch of tests including a sleep study... even though I told her I just had one a few years ago that revealed nothing abnormal. I'm starting to see a pattern with Parkview physicians... They don't seem to listen to their patients nor are they transparent with them.
Stacey Adams: Vivian is the nicest, most helpful person you could have on your health care team. I have no idea why anyone would give her a negative review, she has always been kind and compassionate towards me personally. I would give her the 5 stars if I could. She took the time to explain my conditions to me and was extremely helpful.
karah sanders: I really wish I could give zero stars. Saw NP Vivian, who had the worst bedside manor I've ever expirenced. She said the body can be addicted to Aleve. She then prescribed me a medication im allergic to, after I left. She never spoke with me about it. God forbid you ever have to get a medication pre authorized. It takes WEEKS
Jordan Bowker: Don't expect to get an appointment right away god forbid you need a refill on you medicine
Lisa Stalter: Vivian Appiarius NP is a wonderful provider. Took her time with my daughter that is off to college and was very kind.
Kathleen Shideler: ZERO STARS! VIVIAN is rude, incompetent, and has zero bedside manner!
Emily gowgiel: it should be a zero. I have had epilepsy almost my whole life. A new neuro p.a. telling me that I am faking my seizures and the videotapes my children took are not real. I was not allowed to see my doctor. No weekend neuro on call. People get sick on weekends too.

Gupta Ajay MD: what do users think?
Regina Adams: He is an good listener and his staff also is real good to me.
jennifer knisley: Dr. Gupta was great! He is very knowledgeable, explains in detail and caring. He answered all of our questions and made me feel at ease.My only complaint was that I wish the receptionists were more welcoming. Barley looked up from the computer, took my license and insurance card, then told me to have a seat. Not a great first impression at my first visit by them. Obviously we aren’t there for the receptionists but first impression make a lasting impression.
cathe beauchamp: He was very nice and took his time with me. Looking forward to seeing him in a couple of weeks.
Jeremy Pease: If you are in need of medication this is not the doctor to go to. They ignore phone calls for medication refills and even calls from insurance companies. They also tend to file paperwork wrong to insurance companies resulting in a patient not receiving their medication
Buffy VanDiver: Very Rude! I called ahead of time and wasn’t told to arrive thirty minutes early and we drove a hour and nine minutes to get there to your office. The two secretaries didn’t even bother to try to work me in to see the DrSincerely Buffy VanDiver
Jessica P.: Sometimes, the best is just the best of what's around. I truly think Dr. Gupta is brilliant in the field of MS. This doesn't make him a good doctor, though. I initially thought he was wonderful until I met others with MS who shared their experiences with their own doctors. I was blown away. Dr. Gupta only saw me once a year. Once a year for MS! A potentially debilitating disease. I see my dentist more often! A was always rushed in and out of the office, barely seeing him 20 minutes.Upon my diagnosis, I was given a ton of drug pamphlets and was to make my own decision of which medication I wanted to get on. While I was able to read the literature and make an informed decision, I shouldn't have had to. This is the doctor's job. Not mine. It was daunting in the face of a terrifying new diagnosis to then have to make this decision.Dr. Gupta's office is poorly run as well. Getting a call back from his nurse, Leyla, is a nightmare. I once waited a full month before finally getting a call back. By then, I had switched to a new neurologist.I now drive 3 hrs for something I should have access to down the road. I get exceptional service, which only further highlights how bad Gupta's service was. For comparison, I'm seen 3 times a year, and calls are returned the same day. My new Dr spends real time with me. He shares important information about my MRIs and is up front with my prognosis, things Dr. Gupta never did.
aseaofstars: He was very polite and through. a great dr. Im excited to have for my illness.
Alicia Johnston: I enjoyed him very much. Knowledgeable about the treatments, listens to concerns, and is very friendly
Mark Schrock: Dr. Gupta is a doctor that I feel is passionate about his profession and enjoys helping people. He’s a great listener, and I don’t feel rushed during my visits. He seems intent on pursuing all avenues of trying to improve the quality of the patients life, which I like his openness to pursuing treatments. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Gupta to help navigate my illness. Most illnesses also have the mental aspect that goes with the physical part and it’s very important to have a doctor that responds to that part of it.
Janet Trahin: Excellent service. Friendly staff. Knowledgeable
Julia Marker: Dr. Gupta is very thorough and has a great bedside manner.
Amanda Tallman: Dr. Gupta is great he answers all my questions and listens to all my concerns. He has me on a great plan that so far is working!!
Lynn Matthews: Dr Gupta is a very caring doctor and recommend him to everyone. Thank you.
Rod Wildman: Very informative.
Deanne Paul: Very disappointing for getting blood work ordered in a professional manner. After being told it would be turned in immediately. I’ve waited all weekend and I am very upset.
Betty Lentz: Very good Dr. that I have seen for several years.
Lynn Schueler: Dr. Gupta and the Fort Wayne Neuro Staff are always very caring and give me valuable information. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They got me through some really tough times.
Maggie Watson: Dr Gupta is one of the best Dr's that a patient could ever have or want as their Dr in his field of practice. He is patient, caring, giving, and listens to what you have to say and does what he needs to do, to help you emotionally and medically with your neurological problems. He keeps up with his field and the practice of Neurological problems. I have been a patient of his for over 30+ years and couldn't have stayed with him for that length of time unless he wasn't the kind of Dr who listened and responded to the medical issues I have and will always have, like he has always done, for me. I was a few minutes late for my last appointment and was told by his staff to reschedule, which I did, as it was my fault not theirs. His practice has grown considerably over the years that I have been going to his office. He has gotten me this far, and I hope he can help me for many more years to come!
Neelam Soni: Highly recommend!!
Kathryn Sattison: Dr Gupta as my provider has been life-changing for my chronic migraines!
Becky Smith: Because we had traffic problems and we drive an hour and half to the office, we were 10 minutes late, and the front desk said we would have to reschedule the appointment, which I was able to do as a video appointment. At that time there was no one in the waiting room, so we didn’t understand why we couldn’t still see Dr. Gupta, who I totally love as my doctor. When I originally made the appointment, I was not told it could be a telephone visit. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else, because Dr. Gupta is a great doctor. I would definitely recommend Dr. Gupta to anyone. He is very professional and very kind and caring doctor. He always takes time with me at my appointments and very thorough!

Dr. Madhav H. Bhat, MD: what do users think?
Olivia Lewis: Very detailed and caring I felt like I was in hood hands.
Debbie Runciman: I saw Dr Bhat for the first time 4 weeks ago. He wanted to take me off a prescription given to me by another Dr. He said I had to do it slowly. After 3 weeks, I took my last pill. I felt like I was slowly dying. I called and left a message with his assistant 2 times on Monday, NO ONE ever called me back and it is now Wednesday afternoon. Cancelled any future appts with this man.Do not go to him!
Angela Tunis: Was in to see Dr Bhat today and found he was very rude to me just because I am not experiencing the same symptoms that I was when I was referred to him 8 months ago. Won't be back
bs cy: Love Dr. Bhat!
Jason Dyben: I have dealt with Dr bhat on 2 separate occasions. The first time I seen him was for a yellow spot in my vision in my right eye. After three months he finally sent me to a retina specialist. I was told that if I would have been sent there sooner that I might not have lost the vision in my right eye. The second time I went to see him was roughly 4 years later when I had horrible headaches and pain in my face. So much so that I went on medical leave from work. He prescribed me Prozac and had me get some of my teeth pulled. And said come see me in 2 months. I was not happy with his treatment to say the least. 6 months later and a trip to Mayo clinic I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and cancer. I did not need my teeth pulled and Prozac would have never helped. No thanks to Dr bhat who misdiagnosed me twice. Please if you read this and Dr bhat is your Dr I urge you to get a second opinion. It could improve your quality of life if not save it.

Banas Thomas M MD: what do users think?
Mz. Wright: Saw him off and on for several years. He wanted to treat my back injury with supplements his wife was selling. Other than nerve blocks and referrals out to other specialists, in all that time he really didn’t do anything else for me.
Jeremy Finley: My wife visited Dr. Banas today in reference to extensive injuries suffered from an auto collision.Dr. Banas nurse barged into the restroom because my wife was putting her behind schedule and needed to hurry up.When Dr. Banas entered the room until the moment he left, he was condescending and belittling. He did not ask how my wife was doing or what she has done so far that she thinks has helped, but instead Dr. Banas told her what she is feeling.Example being she has numbness in her ring and pinky fingers when bending her elbows, Dr. Banas proceeded to tell her that she did not have numbness in them but instead had them in her index and middle fingers from carpal tunnel.During our appointment, Dr. Banas made multiple degrading remarks regarding to age, that included sly remarks about my wife not knowing how to handle this type of injury as she is too young to have ever experienced something like it before and that her inexperience is halting her recovery.Dr. Banas ended the appointment by telling my wife, who suffered from severe whiplash and completed 10 weeks of physical therapy to be allowed to visit a neurologist, that she has terrible posture and that her posture is the main reason she isn't recovering. He then stated "We could do something like MRI imaging to get a better look but those are quite costly and I can tell money is a big issue for you both, yes?"Dr. Banas does have a good grasp on neurology, but has absolutely no bedside manner or decency. We will not be recommending anyone to see him, and will defer to other institutions outside of Fort Wayne Neurological Center.
Twisted Fun Times: I love Dr. Banas he's the best and saved my life 3
