Shannon Planck: On January 28th I was out shopping for trail running shoes. I first stopped at a running store in Coventry Plaza. I had no luck with any service. 2 people at the counter completely ignored me while I looked over shoes and when I approached them they had no knowledge of their products and what was in stock.I arrived next to The Three Rivers Running company where immediately through the door I was greeted by Madison with a big smile and she right away asked if she could help with anything at all. I thanked her and began to look around. I found a shoe I wanted to try on. Madison again was very helpful and retrieved the shoe I requested. We shared some running stories and I proceeded to check out. Once again Three Rivers Running came through with great service by Madison and the rest of the staff. Thank you!!.P.S. I ran in my new trail shoes this morning and they felt great !!
Josh Shoemaker: I really wanted to dive into running and I honestly had no clue where to start. I went to three Rivers running company and worked with Madison. She did a phenomenal job setting me up successfully. I was very apprehensive after paying $181 for a pair of shoes but I have went running four times since then and I have noticed a big difference in my stride and a lot more comfortable when I run. I feel like it’s not as hard on my joints or body with the. Madison gave me several options on what she felt was best based off her knowledge and skills of running competitively, and she got me into some cloud monsters I believe they are called. And by far the best running shoes I’ve ever had and I have done a lot of running when I was in the army for 12 years. So thank you Madison for helping me and putting me in great shoes and thank you three Rivers running Company for being able to shop local and support locally owned businesses!

quick jams chap: I first came to this store about a year ago and had the best experience ever. The man who helped me was truly amazing and got me fitted in a pair of shoes that changed my life and took my pain away. I was so impressed I had other family members stop in, and they too had great experiences and left wearing new shoes. I recently stopped in to ask questions and figure out why a brand new pair of the same brand shoes did not feel the same at all. All day, I felt like I was just walking on concrete barefoot, and these were not at all comparable to the pair before. I left defeated with more questions than what I started with. I really didn't get anything answered at all. The woman who was assisting me brought a few completely different pairs of shoes out to try but with no explanation as to why they could potentially be better or even why my new shoes are causing so much pain. I asked about any recommendations to other places to try out and was told about where not to go, but to maybe check E-Bay. So I still have these over $170.00 pair of shoes I can wear and have no clue where to go from here. I really wished I got lucky and showed up on a day the man who originally helped me was working because I know he would have helped me figure out solutions or direct me to another place that could help me. There aren't even enough stars I would use for how much he helped me.

Kevin Bond: Fort Wayne is blessed to have one of the best Fleet Feet stores in the country, now with two locations. The owner Kevin Croy and his staff do a great job and are very knowledgeable. They also have running groups that are for everybody from walkers to elite marathoners. All the people are really friendly and supportive, no matter your skill level or conditioning. Many of the experienced runners volunteer as mentors. My wife has completed several marathons and I am just doing 5k’s. If you want to get off the couch and get moving, and have lots of fun doing it, join a Fleet Feet training group!

Doris Foster: I was staying at the hotel near this Fleet feet location and was excited when I saw it there. I am a runner and fleet feet is one of my favorite stores to purchase my running shoes. My plan was to buy 2 pair of Hoka running shoes from this store. But I was not given any service, as a matter of fact the staff did not even acknowledge my presence upon entering the store nor did they ask if I needed any assistance. I saw the two pair of shoes I wanted but because of the Very Poor customer service I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. Never Again!!!

Wayne Bilbrey: Absolute horrible experience, sat for over an hour and when the lady finally got to my number she measured me and said oh my and went to the back only to come back with 2 pairs and said this was all she had. Neither pair fit and she said sorry we can't help you... I thought this was THE place for people with hard to fit feet.

Not everyone can sit in a store for 30mins to an hour until we are served

Clare Patano: Unfortunately, the owner has implemented an "all sales are final" policy. No returns and no exchanges. Other stores selling many of the same brands offer returns and,/or exchanges. Some up to 60 days. I spent $130 on shoes that felt good in the store, but hurt later in my breaking in process. I'm just out that amount. But I found a more customer oriented store that allows returns .

Josh J: Went in to be measured for shoes, they were able to find a better fit for me. Probably 20 minute wait to be helped, but if you want to be sure your shoes fit correctly its absolutely worth the wait. Pricing was competitive, they have lots to choose from!

Linsey H: Not the same service as when they were on Hobson. I tried on a shoe in the exact style I already owned and said it was too big. The sales person refused to get a smaller size. She TOLD me there was no way a smaller size would fit. When I explained that I owned this exact shoe in a smaller size (which I had bought from Toenges), she told me that they must be terribly uncomfortable and must cut into my skin. Since she refused to give me the size I needed, I left empty-handed. I emailed Fred Toenges about this experience and they did not respond.
JR Ray: Finally found a place where they carry shoes for extra width and care. I got EEEE. Be prepared for an experience. About 30-45 minute experience.. WONDERFUL PEOPLE.
Sherry Compton: We always send my husbands shoes here to get a 2" lift on his left shoe. We recently sent them a Croc shoe to use inside the house as slippers. This shoe is life changing for him. No more putting his shoes on to get around inside the house. Just slip on and go. Thanks so much to the employee that made this shoe for him and making his life simpler🙂 You made our day!

Jonathan Shirazi: If you value your time, it is probably best to go elsewhere. If you have all the time in the world, the staff are nice.I waited 57 minutes exactly, before I was helped. They have an old-school "take a number" system. I took my number, looked around, sat down, answered emails, and then waited and waited.I knew exactly what shoes I wanted to try on; in fact they are just the newer models of the ones I have already worn out.After 57 minutes, I was finally helped. I was measured, and I listed off 4 models of shoes that I would be happy to take home. They had none of the shoes in my size, or even a half size up. The employee brought out a couple of other brands in a full size larger - which is exactly what a good employee should do. It is not the employee's fault at all.However, I expect a better system than what is currently implemented. It is tough to waste an hour of your day to obtain information that could be communicated in a minute or less.

Chris Saylor: I'm pretty hard to fit when it comes to shoes, so I've been coming to Fred Toenges for over 40 years, I think Mom still has that first pair somewhere back home. Today I went in and managed to find the type of shoe I've been looking for for a very long time and nearly decided to have custom made.I worked with Ellen this time who found a pair that was very close to what I needed but not quite there. This being Fred Toenges, instead of giving up I asked if we could find a way to make them work. Ellen came back with the perfect solution, one of their huge variety of in-stock insoles, on the first try.Even if you wear a pretty common size, it's a good idea to stop in for the service, and the prices are pretty good too. While they have a nice selection out on display, my favorite way to shop there is to tell a sales person what I'm looking for first. They'll measure my foot, then go off to find all of the options they have and bring them back to me to try on. That's a lot better method than the normal department store experience, wasting my time poking around in shelves and shelves of boxes hoping the shoe inside matches the label outside when I find something I want to try on.Thank you!

Catherine Napier: Would love to be able to shop in the women's section but they never have my size, apparently all women have tiny feet....
Alissa Reining: Came in to find a very specific shoe for my daughter. As we walked in I noticed the manager using a stack of shoes to hold his head up so I asked him my question. My question being “I need a pair of all black converse that I know you don’t sell in store, however you do online. I just need to know what size so we can get it ordered. Can you help me with that and get it ordered here?” His reply “ladies converse are in row 4A” and then he walked away. I was quite confused as I stood there with my 10 year old child not quite understanding why he sent me to the ladies department. We walked around for a little bit and then left, I was hoping to buy her shoes and myself a pair or two. Instead we left and went to the busy mall where we found much better service and were able to walk away with the shoes we needed. Thank you Journey’s for being the shoe store that Shoe Carnival could never be.

B. Preston: I came in on a Wednesday to get some shoes for work. Made it to the checkout line and my order wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Told the cashier that the shoes had sale tags on them and he says that doesn't start until Friday.. Not sure why they had sale tags on them for Wednesday then If the sale doesn't start until Friday. So I said no thank you and left the store. My mother who is in line behind me overhears him being disrespectful towards me regarding false advertising and has to tell him " that was my daughter!" And goes on to explain that it's not right to hang sale tags if the item isn't on sale. Pay attention shopping here people.

Carolyn Swanson: Nice store with a wide variety and brands of shoes. My husband found a pair he liked and that is never an easy task. The guy at check out was very personable. I added a photo of the shoes but they have been worn before posting this.

Who wants to buy shoes as brand new when someone has clearly worn them on several occasions!So Disappointed the clerk told me I can wear them and if I decide I don’t like them I can return them in 60 days! No wonder why the shelves are full of used shoes!I purchased shoes brand new the bottom of the shoe were not worn!Most Likely I won’t be Back!

Deez Nutts: Quality products. However, every-time I come here for clearance. The price always pops up different at the register every time. Higher than expected like always. The associates will always claim the tag was placed there by another customer. Even with the original price matching the product and the hanger size cap matching as well, they will say “Customers do it all the time.” Managers are afraid to admit they made mistakes and then try to blame customers.

After asking for the size I needed, the guy rudely mumbled something and he walked away and left me talking. Very unprofessional customer service. -had to write my review again as my actual account got compromised. Went again and the people working there acted like they were being bothered of their socializing time and didn’t bother to try and help you find what you need.
mike smith: The store is very well lit and maintained. It also has a modern design and feel. The problem is the staff. As I understand I am not their target demographic, I should not be made to feel unwelcome. The guy who helped me seemed bothered to get me 1 pair of shoes. He was talking to his friend about going out that night. Needless to say they are not the only place that sells Nike shoes.

However, when they have a big bluetooth speaker strobing to the beat of the music, that's a problem for me. Why businesses don't ever take that into consideration for people with epilepsy, I'll never know.
