John Stephens: Well worth seeking out. The food is delicious and portions are generous. A great value and a hidden gem. The birria is excellent, and the house-made escabeche (pickled vegetables) is a great complement. One of the best places for Mexican food I've found here. We'll put this place in our regular rotation despite its being all the way across town from us and fairly tucked away. Wonderful.

Rosie Easterday: I feel at home. This family owned Mexican restaurant is the best! It is obvious that they take pride in providing a personal experience. The servers had real conversations with us. The food is more delicious than my dad's (Don't tell him I said that.) Don't even get me started on the salsa; I was eating it with everything, even by itself. And the soda... it had the perfect level of carbonation. It was if I had pulled a can of soda from the freezer at the perfect time to enjoy its fullness. Bottom line - my husband will be enjoying more dates with me at Mi Parrilla.

India Barnes: Extremely slow service. Couldn't tell if if they were short staffed or just inefficient. Didn't like that my table was assigned a waiter that didn't speak English. I had to use all the Spanish I learned in life just to order and help others with their order. Now I wouldn't have minded all of this had the food been amazing. But it was just ok. I likely won't be back.

Gordon Londini: Had lunch at Tequila and really enjoyed the experience. Chips and salsa were served up front. The chips were firm, nicely salted and perfect for dipping. We ordered some queso which is a must for me at any Mexican restaurant and we were not disappointed. The queso was not too runny and had very good flavor. All of us ordered the fajita lunch special with corn tortillas and chicken. The fajita plate came out steaming and the chicken and vegetables were cooked perfectly. A second plate also contained refried beans rice lettuce sour cream and guacamole. I was surprised by the amount of items on the second plate. The lunch specials include a drink which was nice to see and they were very affordable in an era of high food prices. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. We didn't have a chance to try anything from the bar so maybe that's on the menu next time.

Charles Brindle: Food was excellent and dirt cheap. We walked in 25 minutes before close, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly, and let us know we would have plenty of time to dine in. The floutas were off the hook, and the nachos were fresh. Definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Their rice used to be the best ever, and now it tastes like a cafeteria knock off. Not to mention, it was over double the former price for this less than mediocre meal! I was told it would $1.50 for chips and salsa for carry out, and I was charged $6.00 instead. This was a $16 lunch for a terrible value. DO NOT order carry out from here! I will not be back!!!Response: Well you should review your pricing because what I was told over the phone and what I was charged for my chips and salsa was triple. Also, for the record I was charged $16 for a one star lunch that was previously five stars for $7.89 so that's definitely something you should look into for sure.

Kayla Carver: My partner and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for months, because it’s down the street from our home. We went, because we believed their savor menu looked good. However, after going, we both decided we will not be returning again.We were offered a variety of drink choices, one of them being root beer, which sounded good to me. I did not realize that this drink would come still in the can and that they would charge me $2 for it, and offer no “refill”. They pour their salsa out of ketchup-style containers and do not have good variety—only a hot red or a salsa verde. They also did not refill our salsa. The waitress was extremely inattentive, yet we were the only people in the restaurant. She admitted to putting our entree order in 15 minutes late, which meant we sat waiting for food for about 35 minutes. The entrees were not worth their price— I had a steak fajita quesadilla, which was dry, overcooked, lacking vegetables, and the steak came in 2-3 huge chunk cubes. We were there for over an hour, for a meal that should have been more efficient. We will not be going back; any other Mexican style restaurant in FW is a better choice.
Neil Schroeder: Was very disappointed in the food and service. I had the Pollo Azteca and my gf had the steak fajita quesadilla. The chicken was dry and flavorless and the quesadilla had barely any meat (3 pepperoni sized pieces). Our waitress was inattentive and slow. She admitted to having given the kitchen our order 30min after we had placed it. The only good thing about our experience was the flan, which was delicious, but I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Brian wilson: The bartender never gave any napkins for chips and salsa. The red salsa is no where near what it was 20 years ago. They don't offer a junior Benji for dinner. Also the bartender was more receptive to an employees take out and pick ups than the customers who are there. And I think they are way overpriced.

When we got there they acted as if we never called and said they would not remake the food, instead wanted us to pay for a whole new meal.

Lady Noname: I love coming here because the food is great when I take it home. The only issue I have is that whenever we dine in, the service is slow. When we were there 2 weeks ago 2 people were taking care of cleaning tables and our waitress was running tge register and a few tables. The line for the registration was halfway to the door.
