Terri Theisen: I was excited to use a reputable business with 15 years of experience in Fort Wayne. I had friend recommend them and thought it would be a good match. I was wrong and I had such an uncomfortable experience with this company. There was so many damages to my property with spilled paint on concrete, metal roof, screens on windows, and damaging of landscaping and plants. The crew continued to not meet expectations of coverage and attention to detail including drips, incomplete caulking, incomplete coverage with primer bleed through. The crew boss was pushy and expected me to approve the completion of the job with a walk through after sunset. Of the damaged items, the company was only willing to comp the price of the items damaged without labor included. I have so many new projects we need to complete now because of the incompetence of the crew. They also placed signs in my yard without asking permission to use my property as advertising. Save yourself a lot of frustration, time, and money and go somewhere else.Service:Exterior painting

My husband and I bought a house and hired a painter who one day never came back and did not complete the job and what he did do was not up to par. It is a big house with high ceilings, many doors and many cabinets. We were frantic! I called Menendez Painting and Byron came out immediately to look my house and give us an estimate. He was patient, he explained things and answered all my questions (there were a lot of questions). His team was amazing!!!! We truly love them! They were kind, patient, thorough, professional. The quality of work is exceptional and the price was beyond reasonable. They painted my ceilings, walls, crown molding, trim, stairs, cabinets and a bar. They had to repair my stairs and replace over a dozen door casings. I cannot recommend them enough!! When they finished, it was bitter sweet. My family and I grew very fond of them and were sad that we wouldn't see them the following morning but we were also amazed at the transformation of our house...it was now a home because of them! Barbara Deckard: Mendez painting has one of the most respectful work crew that came to remove the popcorn ceiling in 7 of our rooms in our home. We were amazed by the professionalism and knowledgeable crew that were very friendly and kept the workplace very clean and were mindful of our home. He has another set of young men that painted the Spanish lace and did a remarkable job of clean up. When we arrived home it looked like a professional crew stopped by to clean! We were so impressed with their outstanding work ethics we decided to give them 2 more rooms to remove the popcorn ceiling! Our home is so bright with the Spanish lace!

AMB 13NT: Byron runs a tight ship. He put a new roof on our house, and painted the entire exterior. He has an eye for detail, and quality. And his price can’t be beat. Unfortunately, as an addendum, there were some spots that were not done very well. I have asked for them to be fixed, but my requests are being ignored. He works with subcontractors…some of whom obviously aren’t interested in reasonable quality. Staples from the roof replacement were left scattered around in the yard, wood that was replaced was left in the yard, and certain things were done partially. Vaulted ceilings and water damage stains were no problem for them to handle, and they finished a full day ahead of schedule. Jason Deathe: Great place to go if you want to paint a picture in a group setting. The instructor, Holly, is great at showing the group how to paint a beautiful picture. It doesn't matter if you don't know how to paint. She makes it easy. You will leave with a neat picture you can be proud to hang on your wall. Another plus for those 21 and older, you can have a beer or wine or wine slushie while you paint.

Riley Carter: First let me start with the positives. The staff was super friendly and the drinks were good. It was a great time for my wife, I however was miserable.First off, we did a couple paint session. They had a completed canvas of one of the paintings and an empty canvas the instructor was working off of. The instructor was about to start painting the same exact painting as the completed. It was only until I mentioned the other painting did she switch it up. I think they would have completely skipped over it had I not mentioned it.The entire time I felt like I was just supposed to make stuff up as I went. The instructions were all over the place and it seemed like there was a lot of confusion in the room. I don't know how many times I heard the instructor say "if your not done with that step no problem take your time" then move on to the next step while everyone is trying to figure out the last step and not make their painting look crazy, they are 2 steps ahead.I realize they don't want everyone to be there until the early hours of the morning, but you got to let people figure out what your doing. You have painted that picture 100 times, they have painted it once.In summary, if you're somewhat artistically inclined, you will have a blast. If not, you better pre game and drink while you're there, because otherwise you will leave frustrated with a weird looking "art" piece.My recommendation to Painting with a twist. If you have a couple session, have 2 blank canvases. 1 for one piece and 1 for the other. Then step by step it for each individual painting. This allows good instruction for both pieces and while you're working on one, that gives the other's time to actual paint what's meant to be painted instead of guess.

As two people with zero artistic ability, the instructor made it so that we could follow along and end up with something that actually resembled the characters we were painting.
