Fred Gagliardi: Went today and it was such a mess there, we turned right around and left. They keep discouraging us from future trips with their built-up mess outside the trailer and up the stairs.
Beverly Brown: The steps up to the trailer are very steep, and it's a long step from one to the next, which is difficult to impossible for those of us who are elderly and/or have mobility issues. The "attendant" will not take items from you, you have to climb up there and sort all your items into the separate bins for each kind of plastic, each kind of glass, each type of paper/cardboard/pasteboard product. At the Southgate location, the attendants do all that for me. Quite often, there will be no one at Smith Road at all during hours they are supposed to be open, forcing another trip another day. There is no "service" from Republic, it's all DIY.
Shadrach: Went to Smith Rd location and for 2nd time in a row they could only take cardboard because they took away full trailer. Went to Carroll Rd locationand same story.Genius Idea: When you pick up FULL trailer, bring anEMPTY trailer with you! Republic Services NEEDS managementthat knows how to manage. I won't waste anymore time recyclingwith these goofs

andrea briner: The younger guy that works the trailer on smith rd is nothing but rude. Every time I'm there he has something to complain at me about. If I ask a question so I can put the things in their right place he gets a tone and attitude. I asked if he could be nicer and he's told me to call his supervisor (which you cant find anyone to call)or go to another trailer.

marky marc: I have video footage of a driver on scheduled trash day just sit there in front of my house for almost 3 minutes and just leave. Didn't pick up my can at all. I'm not sure if he picked up anyone else's on my side of the street. So now I have to have a completely full garbage can until next pickup day. Where am I suppose to put the garbage until then? Going to be playing catch up. I'm disappointed with the driver and how lazy he was. In the new haven Thursday route by the highschool. Would be nice if the company would fix their mistake. The website say you're reliable but doesn't seem like it to me.
Michael Deter: Very disappointed with this company. We canceled our trash and I was assured by the guy on the phone that they would not charge me a pick up fee as he would have it waived. I just got a bill a month after I canceled service for $64 for picking up the trash bin since I canceled service. Unbelievable the amount of fees we paid in the few short months we had Republic.

Brian Martin: They miss my trash more times than they get it. I am currently 4 weeks without my trash being picked up and the customer service department honestly could care less about helping me. It's unfortunate cause I am sure there are lots of great people that work for this company but that doesn't change the fact that my trash has only been picked up 1 time on the right day in the last 3 months, and not picked up at all in the last 4 weeks. Stay away from this company if there are any other options in your area.

Brittani Hall: Have not received a trash bin for 3 weeks. I'm informed it'll be delivered 7/16. Called on 7/16 to see where my bin was, I had until 6pm for it to be delivered. It never showed. Called on 7/19 and suddenly there were no bins available. Instructed to put trash outside in garbage bags and it will still be picked up. 7/23 trash was not picked up, had to take soaking wet trash back into our garage to sit for another week and was to receive a call back. No one ever called back. 7/30, took off work to make sure trash was picked up and informed the "normal" driver was on vacation that's why the trash was not picked up and that there are bins available. 7/30, called republic and my complaint was escalated via email to the division to receive a bin by 6pm. Trash bin never arrived. 8/2 again, my complaint was never returned by a call from the division and/or operation and I'm informed again there is now bin shortage but Friday bins were available. My complaint is once again escalated via email and I will receive a call back when there is some response from operations. Unfortunately, I am well aware my call will not be returned as it hasn't from the first complaint.

Julie Miller (Julie83983): Same experience as Many of you are saying. Just moved to rural area, signed up with their services, and yet, recycling has been missed 2 or 3 times. Called in, takes forever to get someone on the phone, regardless of which option I press. Last week, was told the bin would be done by friday...here we are on Monday. Called again, lady said they'd be here no later than Tuesday, but then tonight, Monday, recieve a text.message that it will be picked up on my next scheduled day, August 2nd...What am I suppose to do with the piling up? Leave.it by the road and make my property look like I don't care? Or keep dragging an overly full bin back and forth until MAYBE they show up? Which company can I contact for reliable service??
Elizabeth Gatchel: I’m about sick and tired of this. We are new to the neighborhood and did not know where to place our trash. So yes they left us a sticker on our trash can. That’s fine i remembered for next time to MOVE IT AWAY from tree and fire hydrant! But tell me why they did not get my trash but got my neighbors that is directly in front of the hydrant. I’m sick of the treatment. The grease smeared on my can is not acceptable either. Like come on.I would like a apology or them to treat us better

Brandon Reed: The company has missed our trash pickup several times. After several missed pickups I asked for a refund. I was informed by customer service that they do not refund due to missed services. I explained they are being paid to pickup weekly not when ever they can. Still told no. I cancelled our service! FYI calling customer service is a waste of time. Your call is cut off after 25 minutes and you have to leave a call back number. Asked for a manager to call me back and was informed that wasn't possible.Service:House garage cleanouts
Adrienne Schafer: We have not had recycling pick up in over 4 weeks. Called and was informed that they are short on staff and it would be picked up by end of business day. That came and went. Called and was informed that it would be another 2 weeks (6 weeks total) for recycling pick up. We could put our extras outside of the cans but not in a plastic bag. Unsurr how to keep all that recycling together without blowing away.

Derrick: Republic did not pick up our trash this week. I called today and was told it would be another 10 days before pickup and that we should keep putting our extra trash out by the road until the pickup happens. This is a terrible idea considering I live in a rural area and wildlife tends to go through the trash. I cant have all this smelly and unsanitary trash in my garage and I know you all don't bother to pick up after the animals if they get into it. This is a family home and we cannot have trash sitting around and rotting until the second week of June. Republic services is not a good company.Service:Junk removal

THOMAS EBETINO: It's been a while since I have turn anything in at this particular location. The couple of times I have scrapped computer CPUs, motherboards, ram, boards from servers regular green board processors much more. The people working there at the time were very nice. They explained in detail how to separate motherboards by class ram by types processors by types. They explained that if items were not sorted that they have to bill for short time and you get a lot less. After they charge whatever the dollar amount was. Something like thirty-five in our at the time. At that time I had decided that it is probably best way in breaking down whatever electronics it is best to separate by category. I had bought a small trailer full of circuit boards a warehouse bankruptcy auction.. they let me know that items from that particular time or aircraft circuit boards and contain silver got the best price for the material at the time. They were very honest and upfront in told me exactly what kind of material I had. They could've tried to just buy it from me as greenboard they didn't look like anyting spectacular but all the connections and solder were silver. I made over $1,000 off of that deal sometime around 2012 .
Abbie Maye: Very friendly staff, fair pricing, doing great things for the environment. You won't find anywhere better to recycle your electronic equipment.
Lorie Small: Great place to get rid of old printers, TVs, and the like. All things electronic. Reasonably priced for removal of unwanted electrical gadgets.

Bella Friedman: Bought an amazing laptop on EBAY that works amazing. When I did not receive the lap top on the day it was projected to be delivered they really went to work on locating the item. It was delivered the next but I was amazed at their dedication in helping me find it. It has worked to be an amazing laptop, especially for as little as I paid for it. Very reliable company.
